First time coming here, wanted a place to grab some food while I in the area. Only wanted some French toast sandwiches to go. It was empty inside but the drive thru was packed for the morning. Tasha is often the lady in the drive up window that helps me with my order when Im working overnights. I usually stop in early AM hours. Always smiling, very pleasant, she is great lady to deal with. Food is always hot & fresh, she always makes sure Im getting the best customer experience. There's a gentleman that I deal with as well for late nights. Not sure of his name. A younger guy... He often calls me boss, which is funny. I laugh, & he laughs. He's a nice guy and I enjoy his humor. He also makes it a pleasant experience to deal with at White Castle. Overall okay experience. Ordered online and got pretty much everything. The lady in the drive thru didn't want to be there but was still nice so I applaud her. However, I ordered the shareable meal #10 (which comes with four small fries), the original slider combo, and a 12 piece chicken rings. When I received the order, I noticed one of the small fries was missing. I tried to call them three times to see if I could drop by and get them but I was sent to an automated message all three times. Since we don't have White Castle in California, and I have been hearing about it for years, I just had to try it while in Illinois. I don't get it. Maybe it's one of those things where if you are raised with it you like it. I know my sister's boyfriend from Ohio thinks In N Out is "just okay" but that's probably because it's different from what he is accustomed to. We each ordered a slider and we shared an order of chicken rings, lol, how could we pass up rings of chicken? They also had "fish nibblers," we chose to pass on those. The burger was nasty, in my opinion. It was oddly creamy and the piece of meat was so thin it almost wasn't there. I attempted to lift the top bun up to see what was making it creamy, and whatever cheese they are using is like glue, I could not lift up the bun. Yuck! The chicken rings though, we surprisingly good. I would eat those again, but you won't catch me eating another burger from there or buying the frozen ones in the grocery store! read more

My sister and I looked at each other and crinkled our noses. Didn't know what to get, so just ordered two bacon sliders and onion rings. The patty looked like thin slices of aged Spam, grey and unappetizing. And I love Spam, but this was disgusting looking. The bacon, however, was crispy and the bun soft and fresh. But these couldn't save the sliders. The onion rings were meh. First impressions are truly difficult to overcome and my senses of smell and sight screamed NO. I wouldn't even think twice about bypassing a Whitecastle next time I'm Stateside. I have some fond memories at this White Castle. Coming back from visiting friends at I.S.U., we would regularly stop here for a Crave Case or two to bring back to our apartment. A normal visit consisted of slurring and swearing as 4 of the 5 people in the car were usually still intoxicated in the morninig. We always took turns as designated driver on these road trips. One particular visit is quite memorable. We were all drinking Natural Light from a keg at a party the night before and needless to say, awoke with killer hangovers! So we gather our bearings and pile in the car with the obligatory Slyder stop planned on the way home. After obtaining our Crave Cases, a few of us just couldn't wait to dig in because we were starving and needed something to coat our stomachs after drinking battery-acid-laden Natural Light. For the most part, relief set in as the little burger buns soaked up the residual alcohol. One of us was not so lucky. He almost instantly yelled "PULL OVER!!!" and was holding his mouth! So we did, and he hopped out and puked up a substance the color of florescent green!!! I dunno...I knew he drank some funky shit....Night Train and Ten High come to mind. But if he was indeed faithful to the keg of Natural Light, then methinks Natural Light + White Castle can cause a chemical reaction. The moral of the story? Stay away from Natural Light. I come to White Castle in Romeoville off Normantown usuall twice a month if not more. Usually, as a family we have a great experience. We order the same thing so I am very familiar with the products we recieve. Tonight, I chose White Castle, separate from my family and I was very disapointed! I ordered the Impossible slider combo and got a regular beef patty in the regular orange chesse burger box and was told it was an impossible slider. Impossible burgers are thicker than beef patties and, again I am such a regular I can tell the difference. The employee who made the order was very rude! I asked were they out of the impossible boxes, she said no, so why was it in the wrong box? I explained I can tell the difference between a beef patty and a Impossible patty I eat them often. I askd for the manager, and Anna was just as rude and did not acknowlege why this was a big problem! If the staff think it's okay to lie to customers about what they are getting, I can't trust White Castle anymore. First, it took three times before the person repeated my order correctly. Then I got to the window and she asked again. The time between ordering and paying at the window was at least 10 minutes. As I was contemplating leave the line. Next car , another 10 minutes. Ugh!!!! By the time I received my burgers, I was very frustrated and didn't enjoy them. While waiting for our Crave Case we noticed that this particular location had won the "friendliest white castle" award or something of that sort. I can't say I expect too much when I pull up to the White Castle drive through except excessive gas but I guess they were pretty friendly here. We got some free magnets while we waited. Our burgers were nice and moist and we waited about 5 minutes. I don't know what it is but I always end up waiting for stuff at White Castle. I think the late night cooks are better for whatever reason (I'll go ahead and assume they are just all stoned). During the normal eating times, I find that their burgers lack the juiciness that my crave case provided at midnight. I still can't believe I partook in 4 crave cases in one week...4 crave cases. All of the out-of-towners visiting apparently weren't so blessed to have White Castle's back home. My favorite were the OG's getting down on some sliders accompanied by traditional food.
