This location sucks. Firstly, they have you order in the drive thru via a computer. Got done ordering and the system had an error or crashed so had to be connected to a nice employee who sadly was clearly busy fixing other orders too. The food was fine though didn't taste as fresh as the location in Scottsdale or Vegas. My chocolate milkshake however was utter crap. Either it's not actually ice cream they use but "frozen dessert" mixed with some sort of gum or they made the wrong order from someone and stuck it in the freezer before serving it to the next customer aka me. When we got it the cup was basically overflowing with shake to the point the lid wouldn't close. You'd think the dead eyed employee who gave it to us would have cared but no. Tried to take a sip but couldn't it was so think. Meanwhile bits are dripping all over the car. Tried multiple times to drink some over the course of 20 minutes and it still hadn't melted enough to get even a drop of shake. When I stopped off at a gas station to just dump it the entire middle section just plopped out in one giant cup shaped clump of semi frozen garbage. The sad reality is I don't know if I'd prefer an all computerized experience considering how bad the ordering system worked or actual people. But the ones working here, the order taker at the drive through excepted suck. Thanks for wasting my money, time and now having to detail my car. read more

First and foremost, I really like White Castle and the launch of this location was disastrous and an utter disappointment. They were not prepared and the service was horrible. The sliders were lackluster as they did not have lettuce and tomato to make the 1921 sliders . If you are really craving White Castle, go to the Scottsdale location as they have great food and fabulous service. read more

We went through the drive thru in their first week or two being opened and everything was smooth. Our order was hot, fresh and correct. There was a little wait at the drive thru- to be expected when they first open to the area- but you could tell everyone was hustling and moving people through as quickly as they could. The castle restaurant itself is upgraded from the little white shacks to a more futuristic looking castle- it's nice. Staff was friendly! Remember- it's not a Michelin Star restaurant, it's White Castle and this one hit the spot. read more

Wife and I came here to satisfy her youthful experience years ago. She always raved about their little slider burgers. We ordered 8 cheeseburgers andvtwo sodas. I found the burgers greasy and buns soaked and wet. I didn't enjoy them at all, but my wife did. I really don't see what all the rave is about this place. We were approached at the counter with a smile. We said that we were first timers, and we then received a WELCOME. They asked for a name and took our order, we inquired about military discount and was given a nice discount. The manager noticed my husband's hat and spoke regarding his unit, the 82nd Airborne, Thanked him for his service and we left to sit. After looking at the White Castle menu and prices, I'm going to pass on eating at this place. $ 10.00 for 2 mini burgers fries and drink will cost you $18.-$20. No thanks. Whataburger single meal is less than $9.00 what a size it for large fries and large drink for or around $11.00 total cost. It has been a long time since I've been to White Castle and I went there for nostalgia sake. All I can say is it's now out of my system for two double cheese, sliders and two fish sliders two orders of fries and two medium drinks... $26 the two double cheeseburger sliders. All you could taste was cheese and a little bit of the onions not really any of the meat, the fish sandwiches were dry and almost tasteless and the fries were undercooked not crispy at all and kind of limp. I have mixed feelings about the upscale building and the nice outdoor patio. East Coast White Castles are generally located in grimy industrial areas, and the restaurants are older and show signs of wear. Though I bet that outdoor patio is quite popular on warm Az evenings. The new Tempe WC is in an upscale shopping area. Sliders met White Castle standards. And the upscale soda machine was nice for concocting hybrid sodas. read more

Went there this morning, but called ahead to see what time they open. The worker said about 8am (?). The order taker couldn't take a simple 3 slider order. They were prepping a lot of sliders but couldn't seem to get the orders out for the 4 customers in their dining room. The drive thru was closed because they were receiving a delivery. Not sure who planned this store to open but it was like a three ring circus there. Zero organization. After 30 minutes at least I finally got my order...no kidding...and guess what?, it was cold and dry. Seems like someone blew their money on this franchise! what a fukin bummer. i came here specifically because they now carry an impossible burger. i remember loving white castle as a child but haven't been able to enjoy their amazing little burgers as i've been a vegetarian for the last 10 years. my experience here for the first time in two decades was pretty upsetting. the person at the drive thru is a robot. i had to hear from a robot they don't carry impossible burgers. which would have been fine if i could have figured that out on the mobile app before driving to the restaurant. lol nope mobile app doesn't work at this time. impossible burgers are not being sold at this time. white castle is a bust at this time. get your shit together it's 2024 bro read more

Soggy sliders. My husband even got plain sliders with just meat and cheese and his were still really soggy. I asked for no onions which they definitely made correctly but it's like all of the cooking surfaces were covered in onions because they were all in the bag and stuck to the sides of the buns. So my wife and I have been wanting to try this place since it opened. Are used to go all the time in Chicago but my wife never been and wanted to check it out. We went in last night at 6:30 and there was only one other family in the whole restaurant. We ordered four sliders and an order of fries. After waiting 15 minutes one of the workers told me that they must've given my order to somebody in the drive-through! When we pulled in there was at least 10 cars in the drive-through. I told him I just wanted my money back. I wasn't waiting any longer for my food. When we walked out the ride in the drive-through and grow into approximately 16 cars. Did I mention that there were three employees sitting at tables and eating in the restaurant? Ridiculous. Never going back. read more

First time ever at White Castle... I was looking forward to the experience since im new in AZ. Unfortunately after my first visit I have to say I have no desire to ever go back especially to this location. There were hardly no customers when we arrived on a Sunday evening which was odd. So my family and I order our food we proceed to a table and as we looked around there was several tables available but visibly dirty with food or trash. None were clean I went ahead and cleaned the table and chairs we sat on with a wet wipe. Then we went to fill up our drinks at the soda machine and theres no ice and the coke is out. I went to go let them know and instead of changing out the doje and refilling the ice the shift lead takes my cup and fills it up with the drive thru machine. We get the food and lordy lord the sliders were on "soggy bread" so gross my little nephews would not eat it. The fries seemed like they were put on the frier 5 times before so greasy and hard. I was already dissatisfied and completely disappointed with my experience to top it off as we are leaving the trash cans are all overfilled and no sign of any employee attempting to clean the tables or change out the trash bins. Oh and you have to ask for napkins and all the condiments and they seem to get upset when you go up to ask for another packet of ketchup. If I could I would rate no stars!!!!!!! read more

Manager claimed they were busy as if that's an excuse to screw up a basic order!! I was confused when the girl said have a nice day to me so I asked her if that lady was talking about me and she said yes. I grew up eating White Castle and was super excited to have an appointment down the street from the restaurant. First thing I noticed was these kids work extremely hard to get your orders out at a fast pace. My only critique is the burger patties need more seasoning. They were extremely bland and did not have any flavor. I will definitely be back but the burgers need more seasoning. read more

However my double cheeseburger sliders the bun was so saturated it literally fell apart I was really really disappointed I've been going to White Castle since before these kids were even born I'm from the Detroit area and grew up on White Castle my order number was 637-0639 69 I ended up picking the meat and cheese off and throwing the bun away it was disgusting if not had that experience before but looking at the reviews it looks like other people have experienced it also also you need to bring the cheese rings here because they are like the most fabulous thing in the whole world I hope the review helps and that we can look into seeing why they're so soggy not experienced that with White Castle before good luck with everything with your new store read more
