Was able to schedule an appointment next day. They came and diagnosed what was wrong and also helped to replace door gasket. We had a leaky water valve and they were able to get the parts next day and came back for the repair. They are also ordering me a door magnet that they said they will drop off in a week. I understand that business need to make money and they provide a service, but there were a couple of things I didn't like about how my appointment went down. First I do love how quickly they were able to come out to look at my washer, but while on the phone they didn't discuss how much the fee was for the diagnostic. Then the guy looks at it for literally a minute says what is the problem and says ok $89 it's not worth fixing just get a new one. So I asked what it was that it needed and I asked for an estimate so I can show my home warranty. He keeps tapping on his phone for me to sign it and asks me to type my email. He's very rude and I kept asking for the estimate and he says it'll be emailed. I sign and say ok. A few hours go by and no estimate only an email receipt for the $89. So I call them and ask again. The lady on the phone is very nice and says ok no problem text me your email and I will send it in a couple of hours. By this point it's 6:00pm I'm sure it was the end of their day so no problem. Well it's the next day and still no email with the estimate! I need to show proof of what's wrong and they don't understand that! They take the money and run! I chose to, use White Crow services even though they were a little more expensive, they promised to arrive quickly and they did. On time and same day. Unfortunately after ordering and installing the part the microwave worked for just a couple of days before a new problem arose. My fear was the old "Oh that's a different part" scenario, where your told it will be a new charge. Instead they send a tech out the next day (two in fact) and labored for 3 hours, replaced more parts (no mention of any additional charge) but the microwave (20 years old) could not be fixed. They promptly refunded all the money I paid (next day). All though they failed to fix it, I give then kudos for how hard and long they worked at it, and how professionally they handled the refund. The repair person was timely. He didn't wear a mask, and left his shoes at the door, which meant he was barefoot because he didn't have socks on. This was all a bit unusual, but not a showstopper for us as we had our masks on and had the windows wide open for ventilation. His diagnosis was that the control panel on our stove needed to be replaced, but most likely could not be obtained because the stove was too old. We looked on the Internet, and it did appear that this part wasn't available. It was not the most satisfying result, but at least we eliminated the option of stove repair. He did tell me how I could replace the control panel, in the unlikely event that I found a replacement unit. read more

I want to take the time to leave my recommendation for this business! My washer had a leak coming from underneath, and I immediately put a blast request for service through Yelp. I had several places reply back, and this was the only one that gave me availability for service the same day. I was able to speak with Julia, who is a complete sweetheart, and arranged to have a technician come out to my house within hours. The issue was resolved the same day that the problem was discovered. Andrey the technician found the issue to be the hot water valve. A request for a replacement was placed immediately, and it was picked up within the hour of Andrey figuring out the issue. He came back to my house and was able to replace the piece, and now my washer is back to normal and to regular usage. Julia and Andrey were very professional and handled the matter quickly. Called White Crow to work on a front load dryer for one of my clients in Moraga. I do all kinds of work, just not into appliance repair. Sergio, a Ukranian came on time, wore booties and mask. He was friendly and nailed down the problem that a previous repair outfit seemed to have missed. That pulley that failed was pretty easy to repair, just you have to tear the whole unit apart to fix it lol. He also vacuumed out the dust bunnies and lubed any parts that needed it. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly. Technician arrived on time and diagnosed problem within 15 minutes He had to order parts, ice maker and thermostat for Samsung fridge. The next day I was contacted to schedule repair and he returned the following day. Y only issue was we should have been told we had to empty out freezer. I could have done that when he was on his way and been more organized about it. Instead it took him more time because he emptied the freezer. read more

Our Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator (actually an LG) died this morning. Spent hours trying to find a same day emergency repair service and finally struck gold with White Crow Repair. Julia was able to slot us into the afternoon. Andrey arrived, did a diagnostic, gave us the dire news of a dead compressor. He returned to his warehouse and brought and installed a new compressor by 6:00. Andrey and his partner were polite, masked, friendly and worked diligently. We had a very good experience with White Crow. The original appliance repair service said the control board of our Samsung refrigerator died which was approximately a $700 repair. The catch was that the compressor may also need replacing but without the new board he could not tell. We have yet to get a quote for a new compressor. However while White Crow determined the board was shot they also looked at the compressor, saw a network of cracks, and told us to buy a new refrigerator and not throw good money after bad. White Crow technicians had the knowledge and experience to give us the full picture right away. read more

Saved me a big headache when my fridge went out. Late afternoon and my fridge started displaying high temp indicators. Customer service said I needed a tech to respond. Searched through Yelp and White Crow was able to come within the next few hours. Tech looked at the issue and saw some potential ice blockage causing the problem. He continued further and found a busted fuse that was operating on and off. Had the parts with him and did a quick replacement. The woman who helped me schedule was nice and they were able to get a technician out right away, which is why I went with them, but I don't think the tech quite knew what he was doing with our outside Blaze fridge. He was at our home for far longer than I would have expected, added an improper service tap compromising the integrity of the unit, and told me I didn't need a "commercial" brand outside and just to buy any old LG. The bad advice aside, I never received a follow up call after paying the $69 for "diagnostics," I had to call myself a week later only to be told the parts were discontinued. We had someone else out later who contradicted much of what White Crow told me. Overall, I should have been more wary of the limited yelp reviews and I'm still not sure what exactly I paid for, except that I now need to definitely replace the unit. read more

The person scheduling my appointment with a service technician was nice and she was able to schedule my appointment the next day which was great. The technician that showed up wore a mask and he was nice enough, but it seemed like he wasn't familiar with how to fix my 48 inch KitchenAid Range. He asked me if I had my manual which was a red flag. Then he took a few pictures of my range, and told me he would need to comeback and bring another technician with him since he couldn't move my range by himself. Well I received an estimate the next day and this company wanted to charge me $450 for two technicians and an additional $336 in parts for a total of $786.00. I decided to call another company for a second opinion. The tech from the other company new right away what the issue was. He took apart the two burners on my stove that were having issues, checked some wires, did a little cleaning with a wire brush and fixed the problem in 30 minutes and he only charged me $150 to fix the problem. My range did not need to be moved and I did not need the parts that were quoted on the estimate. Always get a second estimate if the estimate you have received looks like it may be to high. read more
