The massage person was all over the place during my 90 mins. thai massage. She didn't seem to know what she was doing, as all she did was press into my shoulders (no stretching-Literally just pressing down), although I specified on the picture of the person (on paper) where i wanted to be stretched. I actually feel injured in my neck and now I have to go to Stretch Lab to have it properly worked out. No kidding. Ironic? Maybe. Further disclaimer: My partner's friend and her business partner opened this shop and we decided to visit them to show our support. Further disclaimer: My partner asked if I'd be willing to write a review and I obviously am because it's deserved. She got a massage from her friend and I got a massage from her friend's business partner, Kim. We each opted for the "White Elephant" massage, which was a mix of stretching muscles and oil massage. The rate was something like $85 for an hour, though I'm not entirely sure so please don't consider that a certainty. Kim really worked every muscle in my body. I regularly see someone much closer (we live in Oakland) who I've been seeing for years (and will continue to do so) who gives a very comprehensive massage. Kim worked areas that he never has, though to be fair whatever style of massage he does doesn't emphasize that. Kim successfully got in deep without causing me discomfort, which has been an issue previously when I received a Thai massage. I definitely recommend this place. It's beautifully decorated and lit in a very soothing manner. The service was top notch. I ended up grabbing flyers at the front desk for friends who live closer to the area. Found this place on Yelp, visited once and serviced by Lyla, I'd say this place is becoming one of my faves in the tri-valley area! She was easy to communicate and tailor the message style to accommodate your preference. The environment is clean and it was a good experience! Took one star out because I booked an appt for my dad with someone similar to Lyla's style as that's what my dad will also prefer, Lyla recommended Rosie or Tina since their styles would be similar to hers, so I booked it with Rosie, however, after I my dad went and came home, he told me it wasn't Rosie, but it was Kim with the traditional Thai style that stands on his back walking which is not the style he prefers and I clearly noted that when I booked the appt for him. I like this place but just disappointed after I booked it they changed everything for my dad, thus, not so great experience for him. read more

Office experience - Bad. Rosie ( I think that's her name) would only take cash to get the discount for first timers. I was getting it for my husband as a Father's Daughter gift to I had to walk to my bank to get cash. On day of appt my husband forget the card I bought and went for his appt anyway and offered to pay with credit card. Rosie accepted his card and gave him the discount. Type of Care : bad. The masseuse walked on my husband's back the whole time and by the time it was over - he was hurting . We didn't know that was the kind of massage offered - no other options.
