We found ourselves with NO options. On a Tuesday in October, everything in town is closed. We saw the Open sign and had fingers crossed. It was cold and damp so we were looking for soup. All they had was chili, and they were down to one serving. I passed and went for the Caprese sandwich on an asiago bagel. It was toasted and very good. My husband took the last of the chili. They should have just said they were out. It was pasty and thick, (bottom of the pot) and just was not good...and he's not that picky. He regretted eating it before he finished. This is pretty rustic and as a bagel carry out OK. Servers were a little confused with other people's orders. If it is the only place open, try a bagel sandwich; otherwise move on. read more

This is the only true bagel shop in Lincoln, so there are not really any options to go elsewhere, if so I would go elsewhere. The food is decent, I like their bagels and their cream cheese options, but the service is always bad. When I go there I feel like I have entered some sort of candid camera show because the staff are always so grumpy and rude I think this can't be for real. The staff is mostly young women/teenage girls who apparently do not want to be working there. I have seen them fighting with each other, only to stop, come to the counter and stare at me waiting for me to give them my order, not hello, what can i get you, nothing! just staring at me. This places gets 3-stars because it is an alternative to the extremely evil Dunkin Donuts. That being said, the bagels here are extremely average. The bagel places in North Conway (i.e. Big Dave's) are far better. read more

The bagels in the place were phenomenal. They were fresh and were selling more than they could make. Both my husband and I got breakfast sandwiches and they tasted like they were actually cooked there and it like some rubber egg it was amazing and we plan on coming back every time we are in Lincoln. I am always cautious (being a snobby New Yorker lol) about bagels reaching my biased standards. I asked if any were caffeine free and the girl behind the counter let out a long, annoyed sigh and said, "I have absolutely no idea, I guess I'll have to check." The girl next to her rolled her eyes. We just had a great lunch here. Sandwiches were awesome on wheat bread that tasted homemade. Great variety of coffee by Green Mountain, plus delicious lattes and cappucinos. By the way, they no longer use Boar's Head meat, but it was still fantastic. Service speed was great and everyone was friendly and invited us back. Stopped in for a trail lunch. Large selection of sandwiches. Was pleased to be asked if we'd be hiking with the sandwiches which meant an additional layer of wrapping - a nice touch. Generous, delicious and a good value. Couldn't resist the cinnamon sugar and maple glazed donuts. Two young women behind the counter were courteous and friendly. It wasn't until I the next morning when going to do a little retail therapy at the AMC Lonesome Lake Hut that I realized I did not have my zippered pouch with license, cash and credit cards and a thorough search of the car upon returning came up empty. As the shop had already closed for the day, a call to the Lincoln Police dispatcher put in motion a plan for the owner to meet me at the shop where my belongings had been in her safekeeping.
