The scallop dish has four very small scallops for a high price. Pretty much all of their dish have very little on the plate with exception of the steak. Perhaps the sandwiches are the better choice. Went here for my anniversary dinner yesterday and everything was fantastic. The ambiance, the service, and of course the food. For an app we got the loaded house made chips. Amazing!!! Thin and crispy perfection. For my main course I got the Mac & cheese while my boyfriend got the Korean short rib sandwich. He gave me half his sandwich and I mixed the meat into the mac & cheese. It was phenomenal and I think they should make that a meal option on the menu! We could not got all the way to the White Mountain Coder Company without experiencing the Cider Donuts. This is my favorite ever. I wish all the years I have been going to Attitash, I found out about these frickin donuts sooner. Not only are they the best donuts, but they are also the best donuts for just a few bucks. I LOVE them. My husband and I read the rave reviews here and were excited to try this place while on our honeymoon. Let's start with directions, per the map this should be located right near the Storybook Inn. After 30 minutes of back and forth in slight snowfall (visibility did not help finding this place) we gave up and were about to try somewhere else when we found it! Yay now we can satisfy the mouth watering we experienced all day from the reviews. We walk in, a few people are at the bar and we can see some empty tables, woohoo we'll get seated right away! The hostess walks up, rudely says "do you have a reservation?" to which we reply no- didn't know we had to. And she tells us "we're booked, sorry you'll have to try another night" after a minute of staring dumbfounded at each other my husband and I walked out. I'm completely appalled at the hostess and how rude she was, and will never try this place. If I could give less than one star this would be the place. read more

Our experience at White Mountain Cider Co. was very special. We went for my mother's birthday, while on a family vacation in the White Mountains. I chose it because they offered options my mother could eat (she is gluten free), and it also was not your typical NH restaurant. The atmosphere is very relaxing, but classy, and makes you feel like a private chef is cooking dinner for you. It has the most beautiful wooden beams, wooden floors, wooden everything. The scent of wood and cider drifts into your nose and doesn't leave, remaining there and adding to the taste of your drinks and food. It is a scent that a yankee candle can never recreate, and something you couldn't imagine unless you had smelt it before. Even in the parking lot, you smell the donuts and the apple cider, and it invites your curiosity to figure out where it comes from. It is a dream. We each ordered a different type of meat (pork, steak, cod and chicken) and were beyond impressed with the flavors, the presentation, and the cuts of meat. Everything was done to perfection, with flavors that sunk into my tongue and when mixed with the aromas of the wood, created the most lively, warm feeling inside. We then of course got the donuts and the ice-cream, and that melted in my mouth more than ice cream and donuts should. I never wanted the feeling to end. The donuts were the best I ever had, and were so fresh and warm... I wish I could wake up to them every morning for breakfast. The sensations I had here were unexpected for a dinner out, and were rare for a restaurant to provide. Normally restaurants might just touch on the taste, and sometimes the smell. We've owned a home in the White Mountains since 2004, and in my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the valley. But for the consistently snarky hostess and increasingly lukewarm steak, I would give WMCC five stars. The cocktails are worth a try and are perfectly crafted by serious mixologists. The seasonal punch is especially delicious (and be forewarned, will quickly inebriate you) and super fun to serve, as it comes with a bowl, ladle, and demitasse cups. The most tempting appetizer is their signature homemade chips with your choice of sauces. My personal favorites are the horseradish dill and gorgonzola cream. Beware when ordering this - it's very easy to eat too much. Best to stick with the half order... In a healthier state of mind? Go for one of their salads - they're all fresh and delicious... nothing standard or ordinary here. My favorite is the cider mill salad with crispy onions and apples. Fabulous. On to dinner... you really can't go wrong. When they offer white fish, get it. The sauces are impeccable and the fish, flaky but not too dry. The hangar steak is consistently tasty, but beware, it often needs to be re-heated. The vegetarian dishes are always a good choice and surprisingly delicious, though the taste factor would be significantly upped with a smattering of sausage. ;o) The risotto is also lovely. Dessert, if you can fit it, is wonderful. Last week, it was a frozen chocolate mousse. Uber-delish. If you're not sure what to order, go with the homemade cider doughnuts and vanilla ice cream. Every year we go to N Conway for a week with the family (my parents, sister, etc). With the little one born last year, this is also the week we know we get a date night. This year's date location was WMCC. I love the decor and ambiance here and appreciated seeing a chalk board listing their local ingredients when I walked in the door. The seating areas are divided a little, which made things a bit more intimate. We don't go out often so we decided to try a bit of everything. After looking at the reviews here we had to try the potato chips and they were amazing. The problem is if you're planning a bigger meal with dessert you should skip them, they fill you up. They would be perfect though for sitting at the bar with a drink (or two). Next I got the Cider Salad which was delicious, I got a small and almost wished I had gotten a large! My husband got the cheese plate which came with homemade (?) crackers and some fruit/raisins. It looked delicious, but I didn't really try any because dessert was needed. For dinner I got the veggie option of potatoes, kale, mushrooms and goat cheese. Sounds very simple but it was so delicious. In fact I'm eating leftovers as I type this. My husband got the scallops and there was nothing left on his plate at the end of the meal. For dessert I had to have the cider donuts with ice cream and they were amazing. If you go make sure you save room for them! My husband got the panna cotta and enjoyed that too. This happened a couple of months ago. We made a reservation online and seating was available on the covered patio. When we were seated, a frigid wind was blowing on us from the bottom of the cover. We pointed it out to them and they said the sealing buttons on the bottom were broken. They then seated us on the other side, with the same result. WMCC, there were such high expectations, and you fell short. What's with your menu? Your appetizers section is larger than your entrees section. That's not cool. Give some more options! However, the chicken pasta was pretty darn good. +1 for that. And you know what, +1 for the fresh bread. And while we're at it, +1 for the really nice regional draft beer selection. Made a reservation for 7pm. Finished hiking early and called to change the reservation to 6pm. The hostess was extremely nice and said it would be ok. Then got there at 5:30. She was still very nice and said it was no problem at all and showed us to our table. Our waitress was also very nice and attentive and genuine. We ordered the homemade potato chips as an appetizer and they are incredible! They are thin and lite and melt in your mouth. We got them with 3 toppings - 1) loaded (sour cream, bacon (chunks), chives), 2) sriracha, and 3) garlic aioli - perfect! Get the chips!! Seriously! I got a bowl of Garlic Corn Bisque and loved every bite (I think I moaned a couple of times). We both ordered the Cider Mill Burger. Whoever cooked our burgers is a meat genius! It was like we ordered steak! And the rolls were just amazing. The bacon is thiiiick cut and delicious. Homemade pickle slices are delicate ribbons of YES! The french fries were the best I've ever had. Yup, I said it! My wife couldn't finish her meal but I ordered dessert for her. She got the Warm Cider Donuts and Ice Cream and I got the Peaches and Cream. Damn!!!! We each shared them. We were both so stuffed but as we ate dessert we were giggling like little kids doing something wrong. The coffee was really great too! If you need atmosphere, this place isn't about that. If you need a million TV's with games on so you don't have to pay attention to your spouse or if you need tablecloths and candles - move on. It's very comfortable and clean and inviting but doesn't put on airs. It's all about the food and you are not going to find better. This restaurant is the best in the Glen/ Bartlett area. It's expensive but worth it. The menu changes with the season. The cider mill portion was rebuilt and the cider donuts are to die for. Happened upon this place by chance while adventuring in the White Mountains. This place has the best apple cider I've ever had. It was the perfect thing to force out the chill of the day; I'm very glad we stopped to investigate! We got a half dozen apple cider donuts too, which I actually liked. I have had a few different cider donuts and not enjoyed them, so I thought perhaps I just didn't like them altogether! Nope! It was bustling, yet there was still ample seating to be had. Tons of yummy looking dessert treats and lunch options in-house too, which is great. Only suggestion would be that they label the galloned ciders in the fridge for you. We wanted to buy a gallon of the hot cider we got in cups, but had a hard time because the gallons had different types of cider in then but no label saying which was which. Absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the short ribs in a yummy tomato sauce. We were too full for dessert, but I'm sure it's just as good. I did not think the place was too hard to find. It may be because I have been up to North Conway and remember roughly where it was. We've dined here only once, but it was a delicious experience on all levels, and we have no hesitation in giving it five stars. The restaurant has a delightfully energetic vibe, attentive service and of course some excellent dinner preparations. It is housed in what appears to be a small restored farmhouse close to the highway, a setting that doesn't immediately suggest what fine dining is offered here. The presentation is splendid but never feels stuffy, and the food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Tuna, haddock and sirloin made up our dinner, and each was deeply satisfying, especially the sushi-grade tuna with a surprising slightly sweet sauce that brought out some unexpected flavors. The cider donuts are appealing for dessert. And the bartender serves up some stylish, yummy concoctions. Add to that a server who was knowledgeable, never intrusive and yet caught everything we needed, and you wind up with good reasons for returning. Which we definitely will later this summer. A word of caution: during the summer the restaurant fills up quickly on weekends. A reservation is a very good idea. You'll be glad you made one. read more

We stopped here a handful of times on vacation. They have the best cider donuts and we love their apple cider dressing! This year we also tried the chocolate chip cookies and individual sized blueberry and apple pies. The cookies are outstanding and the apple pie was amazing! We wish we bought the full sized one! We also ate their for lunch a few times. My husband had the cider mill salad and loved it. It has green apples and pecans! So good! I had the fall turkey sandwich, delicious! We also went back for dinner and both had the pork. The cidertini is my favorite martini of all time! We sat on the patio because we had our puppy but the inside is so beautiful. This place is a hidden gem...and worth the trip out of North Conway. Its about 6 miles out of NC in Glenn NH. Its unassuming farm house / cider mill location is extremely charming with its vintage decorations, fireplace and classic farmhouse, cozy feel. I recommend making a reservation - they are on OpenTable. I have been here twice and both times were truly off the chart good. This past time was for a date night for my husband and I and it was the perfect setting. I ordered the duck - which is one of my favorite dishes to order when out, when restaurants serve it. I have had amazing duck, so so duck and horrible duck. This meal goes into the amazing category. Cooked to perfection on a bed of sweet potato with a wonderful dressing. I could not finish my meal, but wanted to badly. The service is top notch with very well informed waitstaff who really enjoy the diners. It is a real treat to have such wonderful and professional service all around. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the North Conway area. Its not far from the outlets and well worth the drive through such a beautiful part of the state. read more

We ate here at the recommendation of our B&B in town. It offers a large bar along with their restaurant. Like a previous review, the homemade potato chips are a big hit. We got the appetizer with three sauces, the Gorgonzola cheese sauce, the horseradish dill sauce and the garlic aoli. All three were terrific. When asked which one we preferred, I thought I like the horseradish sauce the best, but I was licking up the Gorgonzola sauce. The entrees were outstanding. I had the roasted duck breast with sweet potato puree and my wife had a special of shrimp with a pumpkin butter sauce with goat cheese and spinach dumplings. Both of us licked our plates clean and couldn't get enough and we failed to save room for desert. Its nice to travel and find jewels like this place. Came here because it was highly rated on yelp and close by to where we were staying. We are not locals to give some context but came up here to ski and enjoy the winter. Perhaps it was the difference between what I got and what I expected, but I didn't feel the high reviews met my expectations. Once we ordered our food they brought us hot bread with butter which was so amazing and fresh. For the starters, We had the dates with blue cheese and bacon, this appetizer was fairly priced at 5 dollars for 4 large stuffed dates. They were served perfectly warm with a generous amount of stuffing. I would say this was my favorite of the appetizers I had. Then I had the crispy beet appetizer which came with spiced nuts and squash I believe and tangerine as well as more blue cheese. I was not a fan of this dish. It was too savory for my taste. I expected a sweeter beet dish. It wasn't bad but not what I expected as I wanted something on the sweeter side, I barely finished it. Next I had the burrata with pesto and pumpkin seeds on the side and a slice of proximities. There was also garlic bread served with it. The portion of burrata was very small, about one third of a burrata ball from Trader Joe's for comparison I'd say. The proccuito was thick and more on the harder side and tasted very fatty to me. I wasn't a fan of the pesto, it tasted good but I just didn't find it super tasty. There were also a few small dates mixed in. Overall it was ok. Lastly I had a cydertini, their special cocktail. It was refreshing served in a martini glass and like a slushy. I didn't expect the texture, I thought it would be a liquid cold drink didn't expect the slushy part. My family was happy with their dishes, the Chinese bbq salmon miso ramen dish and hanger steak dish. My husband had the seared scallops, the flavor was good but they were over cooked since they were too chewy. For dessert we had the cider donuts and ice cream with caramel sauce, I didn't try this dish but my family liked it very much. Then the bill came.. it was pricey but we knew this coming in. The main dishes range from 25-35, so definitely not cheap. The appetizers are about 10 dollars and dessert 10. Cocktails were around 12. I guess bring in a touristic ski area we should expect higher prices. Overall the restaurant was very cute with a nice fireplace and paintings, presentation of the food very nice, staff was ok I didn't feel like they were too friendly but not rude either (I guess we came in pretty late as we were the last reservation for the night and the reservation was made for 4 people, they thought we had made it for 2, the person that greeted us seemed ticked off by this, don't understand why as there were many free tables when we came in), food not so cheap and I wouldn't say amazing but wasn't too bad. This was one of the best meals I've had all year. I had the cod with gnocchi and broccolini. It was amazing. Such surprising flavors. Light and lemony, but not tangy. Just delicious. What can I say about this place other than...WOW! White Mountain Cider Co. is an exceptional restaurant if not one of the best in the valley. Absolutely superb food, ambiance and service. We came here with a large group and were seated immediately upstairs at their "loft". Which I'd highly suggest requesting if you also plan to visit with at least 6 people. The loft was private yet not isolated from the energy of the restaurant. It felt intimate and as if we were eating at someone's home. It was very easy to hear everyone in our group and they provided a large/long rustic table for all of us, 8, to sit down and enjoy dinner at. Overall, the food was amazing and the best part about this place of course! Everything from the fresh hot bread at the table, to the apps, entrees, and dessert was perfect. Some of my recommendations: - Venison...this was a daily entree special though - Bacon Crusted Pork Chops (entree) - Chili Dusted Tuna Steak (entree) - Loaded Homemade Potato Chips (appetizer and huge!) Just order a 1/2 plate ...trust me - Braised Short Ribs in a curry sauce (appetizer and a bit small for large groups/for the price) - Cider Donuts with Ice Cream and Caramel (dessert and simply perfect) In the end, I look forward to becoming a regular here next time I'm in in the area. We have been visiting the North Conway area for many years. We've had a few successful dining experiences, and many only so-so. White Mountain Cider Company was in a class by itself. We had dinner with another couple and from the moment we walked in all was fantastic. Our waitress, Patty was so knowledgable and fun. The food was amazing! I had duck, my husband had the pork and our friends had scallops and the steak. Everything was prepared beautifully with delicious veggies as well. The lobster risotto and crab cakes were yummy appetizers. Desserts were the gingerbread (warm and melt in your mouth good) and the cider donuts.... a must! We will most definitely return! read more
