Visited Whitehouse Drive in today and what a wonderful experience it was. I loved the small town charm, ambience, and super friendly service. The mushroom, onion burger was cooked to perfection and the square tots was a delicious bonus. Of course I had to have the fresh strawberry milkshake which was fresh, creamy and wonderful. Horrible customer service, they are trying to use the old owner reviews to get customers. If you want to wait a half an hour or more for underrated, and over priced food. This is it. We waited so long we asked for a refund to go somewhere else. It took another 15 min to get a voided receipt, which h we still never got, and the have still not given the redund. Waited 20 min with one car ahead of me. When I got home, one burger did not have any condiments, I ordered a double cheeseburger with everything minus ketchup and a bun. It had only half a slice of tomato and lettuce. I also ordered a second double cheeseburger with everything minus ketchup it had no cheese and only mustard and 2 pickles. I've tried this place twice now. First time, the kid taking orders had HEADPHONES playing music so loud I could hear it. When I placed my order he said "what?" Because he couldn't hear over his headphones. Who uses headphones while working at a restaurant without getting fired? That is so disrespectful. As assumed because of the headphone issue, my order was wrong because the self entitled bratty kid at the front needed to listen to music. And they expect to be paid $15/hr, what a f*cling joke kids are these days. And he still had the audacity after asking "what?" And "huh?", throughout my order, he swung that little iPad around and asked me to tip him. I should have asked "and just what am I tipping you for?" Just because you did your job doesn't me you deserve a tip. Second time, a few weeks later we tried again. This time a girl was working the register. No head phones, but the poor girl was standing next to the ice cream machine and kept saying "huh?" And "what?" How about move your tiny little head away from the loud machine so you can hear the customer?? Crazy thought, I know. Teens can't think that far. I asked if ham came on the deluxe cheeseburger, she said "I don't know." At least know the menu at the place you work at. The menu is not that intricate. I ordered a cheeseburger because she didn't know what the deluxe was, and a butterscotch shake. After the struggle of ordering she asked me to tip her. I flipped that iPad right back to her. Show the customer respect, knowledge that you know your work place, and go above and beyond your job then maybe I will give you a tip. My shake came out as butterscotch milk. The fact that these kids serve food like that is disrespectful not only to the customer but to the store owner. Show some kind of care and give quality. Store owners put a lot of money and time into owning a business. To have kids like this working is disgraceful. I've worked at many restaurants and never in my life have I acted like these kids or served food/drinks I wouldn't be happy with as a customer. There was 2 cars in line, and a table of 4 who had already ordered. A couple walks in, someone yells from the back "wait is probably 25 mins!" Didn't even great the customers, just yelled from the back. When I looked back there, ONE of the 3 employees was cooking burgers. The other 2 employees were just LEANING on the counter, one on a phone the other looking into space. So maybe there would not be a 25 min wait if all employees were actually doing something?? Shocking I know. I have never seen an owner in there before to manage these teens, it really shows they were just given few instructions and then let loose. I probably won't be coming back. Food was decent but after interacting and watching these kids "work" I'm going to assume the kitchen is not very clean. Really wish the owner could manage these kids and show them how to be decent workers for the current employment and future employment. One last thing, food is WAY over priced. I know food costs are high but not that high. A large shake is $10! A bag of pre-mix ice cream from Reid's dairy is like $10-$15, that will serve 90 large milk shakes. read more

My wife and I used to Love this place before it changed owners. We went here last Saturday and I ordered a double cheese burger. When I got the cheese burger and took a bite, I noticed immediately that the buns were not grilled, which is what set them apart from other burger joints. After the third bite the bottom bun crumbled into 5 pieces and came apart because it was soggy from the tomato and mayo that was on the burger. My wife and I have been enjoying this place for years but will no longer be going because since the ownership has changed, the food is no longer good..and that's sad. The food is now sub par and average. A little advice: Start grilling the buns on your burgers again, it really makes a BIG difference in taste. read more

I give this 2 stars because of the teenage kids that were doing their best. They needed leadership. Where was the owner on a busy Sunday to offer support ( like their sign about training new hires suggested ). The iPad did not offer a tip option for these kids - they deserved one. I love this place it's cheap & good food but the wait time plus the staff makes it a hard to go here. With two cars in front of you it'll be about a 30 to 45 minute wait. I understand being short staffed but I don't think thats the case. There are a bunch if teenagers running this shop. I won't even rate this place I have seen mold in the walk in freezer, base boards. They put there hamburger to thaw out on the bun rack in the back and leave it there over night. When any one I know you thaw meat out in the fridge. Not in the hot back room for 12 to 14 hrs on a bun rack in the back. They do not rotate any thing. They bearly wipe ony thing. alot of cross contmation happing here. There soups are not rapid cooled. There set on back table. To cool off and incubate all kinds of bacteria. I'll never eat here. My wife and I really enjoy coming to the Whitehouse drive in. They have been around for decades and remind me of the way things were. The food is very good and we especially enjoy the $5 breakfast special on Saturdays. The sodas have crushed ice, the employees are friendly and the bacon is excellent. You will get a very good meal for a very good value. read more

Since the new owners took over this place has gone straight down the drain. They Never answer the phones, one day I called and kept getting "the caller is busy call back" message so I kept trying to see how long it'd take to get thru and then answer, called 22 times in 15 min I called to keep getting that message, so I gave up. I drove by since I was on my way home and there were only 2 cars there!? Totally ridiculous. When they do answer they get the order wrong or it's fried to the point where it's non-edible!
