He was professional, knowledgeable, and quickly diagnosed the problem. What really stood out to me was that he also noticed an issue with the ice maker and took the time to fix it, even though I hadn't originally expected or asked him to take care of it. He really went the extra mile, and I appreciated the effort and attention to detail. The refrigerator has been working great ever since. With a previous repair done by another technician, the fix only lasted a few months to maybe a year before the problem came back. This repair, however, has continued to hold up for several years and is still working great today. That really says a lot about the quality of Jose's work. I contacted Marcello in the late afternoon of Wednesday and he came later that same day to diagnose the problem. Showed up on time, figured out the issue, and told me he would order the part in the morning and come back the next day to fix it. Literally exactly what happened. No fluffs, no upselling, cleaned up after himself, was professional on the phone and in person, and just told me what to expect and that's how he delivered. Service call was $75 and it would be applied towards the repair. I knew that was fair based on cost of gas, travel time, his knowledge of appliance repair, and the time to diagnose and repair the problem. I called around on Saturday and Philip at PKC was the only one who was able to make it there on the same day. He was responsive to both call and text. I suspect that the Yelp area is not quite accurate, since Philip mentioned that he covers over into Norwalk as well, but certainly on both sides of the LA and Orange counties. He estimated that he would arrive between 6 and 7 PM, and did so at 6:45 (still in the time window). During the visit he was very direct, no-nonsense, quickly identified the inverter issue, had a replacement part on hand, and was able to install and confirm functioning in about 45 minutes. The final cost was $350, in line with his estimate, and a bit below some quoted prices I got from other vendors. I was quite satisfied with the communication, ability to identify and repair the issue, and overall value. I have mentioned Philip to my neighbors in case they have an issue. Philip is able to service other appliances (except for AC units, though he knows someone else who specializes in that).
