Danny saw me at breakfast downstairs in pain and took it upon himself to go to the bar and had a special drink made for me. By the time I was finished with breakfast, my pain and nausea was gone. It is that kind of hospitality that makes people want to travel and experience new places. A thousand thank yous Danny. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The pillows by the way were the most comfortable. They also had small windows that open from the bottom. Fresh air is the best! I found a smoking area across from the front entrance of the hotel. It is surrounded by beautiful trees and a small bench. The hotel has a parking structure for parking, No charge, just park on the 2nd floor. I cant wait to come back to this hotel. Clean rooms, good atmosphere, and the ClubSport fitness facility attached to it is honestly one of the best hotel gyms you'll find anywhere. The place has a real "active resort" vibe with pools, spa amenities, and a full health club attached, which is pretty unique for a hotel stay. But what made the night memorable was Taylor. When I first sat down at the bar, she was the only person who actually noticed I had been waiting. No eye contact from anyone else. She immediately stepped in and took care of it. Then she made my Old Fashioned exactly how I like it. Not overly sweet, balanced, and actually tasting like bourbon instead of syrup. You could tell she cared enough to get it right instead of letting a rushed bartender crank something out. The best part came after that. I'm from Northern California and admittedly have a slightly obnoxious wine palate. Instead of just pointing at the wine list and walking away, Taylor spent a solid 10 minutes walking me through their red selections, talking about flavor profiles, letting me taste a couple options, and helping me land on a bottle that actually hit the spot. That kind of hospitality is rare. Most places are trying to turn tables as fast as possible. Taylor did the opposite. She slowed down, paid attention, and made sure the experience was right. First, I want to give a huge thank you to our servers--Stephanie, Jaden, and Piper. They were absolutely amazing: friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Their positive energy really helped make the party fun and enjoyable for everyone. Unfortunately, our interaction with Ashley, the manager, was disappointing. She came across as rude and not very welcoming, which put a bit of a damper on the experience at that moment - she needs to be taught how to speak to a customer ! Basics of customer service I don't think she even knows ! That said, I truly appreciate how the event manager handled the situation. They were very respectful, professional, and went above and beyond to make things right by offering us an additional 2 hours for 5 people. That gesture meant a lot and showed great customer care. In the end, while there was a hiccup, the excellent service from the team and the effort to resolve the issue made a positive difference. I hope management can work on consistency in customer service, because the rest of the staff truly shines.

Very little parking and the back leads into an alley way. There was a lot of guests so we were told to park in the residential area which had sketchy surroundings when walking back towards the event space. When we entered the space, it felt like an open layout house. Fairly modern design. Useful space. Two restrooms for guests. There was a small connecting area with a fridge for storage. The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. Needs to be replaced. The AC was very cold on a 67 degree day. Two stars docked for the limited parking. inconvenience and the odd location in a commercial/residential zoned area.

We have always come to the Marine protected area when the tide is low and walked along the beach and sand outside the Institute to see all sorts of sea life. It is amazing what you can see, even saw an octopus one time. Just make sure that you know when the tide is rolling in and out to not get caught out on the rocks! On the backside of the Institute there are also benches to sit at and listen to the ocean. The Institute itself is filled with wonderful sea life and is a great learning experience no matter your age. Outside, there is a calm bay area where paddle boarders are all over as well as the educational ships filled with history. There is nothing that you cannot do in this area!
