I went into this bar after calling beforehand. I was by myself and sat at the bar. The woman bartender (tattoos on her right arm) saw me sit down. The bar was slow as there were about 8 people in the entire bar. She proceeded to serve other patrons who had already been there for a while, and then went and spoke with her fellow bartender and then was playing dice with another patron at the bar. On my Milwaukee adventure I found Old World Third Street. I was told to visit this establishment and I must say that I was not excited. It really was unnecessary loud for the time of day and it had a septic smell. In all fairness, the bar staff was amazing and I had a good time. Unacceptable wait - 1 hour and 7 minutes later I finally received my food order and it was incorrect. It took so long that my parking meter expired! We ordered our food to-go and waited over an hour before finally receiving the order. Cheese curds, a salad, wings, and a burger w/ fries, yet other people sat down after us and we watched trays of food go to their tables and the bar (including cheese curds, burgers, fries, and wings). The orders were incorrect too - missing sauces, the burger we ordered with toppings had nothing on it, the bun was stale, the fries were soggy and cold, and there were no onions in the salad. The prices listed on their Facebook are not correct and I spent $20 more then I planned then waited 50 minutes longer then I was told. I attempted to order through the phone but was getting a busy signal so I had to drive to their location to order, when we got to the location they were not very busy yet at all, a few people at the bar and on the patio. When I tried to call them after to ask about the missing items from our order their signal was still busy even though we tried to call several times. I will not be coming here again. read more

Good service. Good beer. Lots of tables and tv's. Ordered the chips and grandma's dip as recommended by my fellow Yelpers. Chips came hot and the dip was fantastic. Also decided to go with the award winning Siracha garlic wings. Not so great. The sauce was delicious, but the skin was not crispy. I hate non-crispy chicken skin. In fairness, the meat was juicy and hot and the flavor was good. 3 stars for the wings. 5 stars for everything else = 4 stars. I'll stick to Points East Pub for wings. read more

I discovered this bar shortly after moving to Milwaukee. I was in search of a good place to watch my Mets in the 2015 World Series. Although the Mets disappointed me in their World Series efforts, Who's on Third did not. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the decent food (some was really good, some just ok). The bar can definitely become a bit of a college crowd as the night goes on...actually, it pretty much starts off that way during the day. Still, it is a fun and lively place. Fun for the local games and out of town games. I would probably go as far as saying it is my favorite sports bar in Milwaukee. read more

I love this place, very fun bar to go out to has great deals and a good bar scene. The only problem I have with this place is they skimp on some of their food items. I ordered the 'who's favorite' which was the blackened chicken wrap, it was very good but the chicken was no where to be found only two small cubed pieces? Kind of annoying because to add on to it they really skimp on the fries on every item my friends and I ordered. Has a nice range of things of the menu but your meal will not fill you up like it should with how much they skimp on it. read more

I went here for the second half of the Badger game a couple weeks ago, as everything else was closed. I am happy that worked out that way, otherwise I probably wouldn't have ended up here. The space is set up perfectly for watching a game. The space is long and narrow, with large tvs and plenty of seating. It was slower when we went, so we were greeted immediately. We sat ourselves, and knew right away that we were going to imbibe in bloodies, $2 PBRs, .50 cent wings and half off on cheese curds - as the sandwich board outside boasted. Our server, (3/4 of the removed star) happily told us about his raunchy hangover, and when Joe ordered a Bell's beer he said he'd just finished the last one...? He totally forgot my beer until I reminded him. He asked what food we wanted and I ordered the wings and curds - but before I had the chance to order the two sandwiches we also wanted, he just turned around and took off, never to be seen again. I'm not kidding, we never saw him at our table or anywhere else in the restaurant the rest of the time. Our wings and curds came, delivered by another server, and I had to flag someone down for another beer. Given the terrible service, the wings were actually pretty good! We had the parmesan garlic and the garlic sriracha. I prefer more of a saucy wing, so I liked the hot one better, but others preferred the dry rub of the parm/garlic. The curds were greasy, hot and cheesy - just as they should be. I spoke with another server about never once being checked back on, never once being offered refills and never once even seeing our server. He apologized, bought us a round of shots and dropped off our bill. It was full price curds, full price wings and full price beer. Once I pointed out the specials weren't included, he fixed it right away. I think it'd be a fun place to watch a packer game, given that we stuck to the trend of never seeing the drunk server again. read more

You like chicken wings? EAT THEM HERE. Seriously, it's my favorite food group. I love them. I'm considering raising chickens in my backyard to eat them more often. But after trying this place, I've reconsidered. I'd recommend mixing them up. Get the siraccha ginger and the bourbon honey glazed. The others are so-so. Atmosphere - there are walls of TVs. Easy to catch a view for any sporting event. And they have Dish or some satellite so you can see games from the whole region. (Not sure about UFC) Service is good, but food is a bit slow to come out. Lived up the reviews. Didn't know what to expect from cheese curds (my first time) but were very good & not in a heavy coating, like I expected. Fluffy but crunchy outside & tasted great. Was with a group of four & two guys got the mac & cheese (it's a huge portion) and they said it was great. One said it had a bit of spice to it, but that's advertised. I had a burger, and it was excellent, juicy & perfectly cooked. The fries were seasoned well & thin & crispy. Only "complaint" is there weren't very many of them -- maybe 15? It was a loud, wild crowd being St Patricks Day & NCAA Tournament, but our waitress was attentive & friendly, a pleasant surprise considering the environment. read more

Cheese curds here are certainly respectable. The cheese itself just melts in your mouth once it hits your tongue. Seems to be beer battered as well. Only wish though that they wouldn't charge $0.50 extra for dipping sauces! Service was really good for simply a sports bar. Every time we needed something it came pretty quickly with a smile. The brunch items that my wife and I had were pretty decent. My Milwaukee omelet came mixed with a Usingers brat and mustard - quite strange but quite tasty. My wife's french toast was typical but satisfying. The fried potato sides on each dish were a tasty surprise as they were slightly smeared with a white cheddar cheese sauce - quite something! Pretty decent sports bar as the name states on 3rd St. Cheap drinks and patio seating. Our group had a good enough experience the first night we were in town that we came back again the next night with more people. It's not a typical kind of bar I like to go to, but the prices ($6 wells) and patio were alright enough to return. Note: apparently bars in Milwaukee don't serve single size drinks. Every time it was in a tall glass as opposed to short glasses like I'm used to. I wasn't sure whether they actually included more alcohol or not. That's to say I don't really know if they were doubles or they just always use big glasses regardless of whether it was a single or double shot drink. One girl in our group ordered a double which looked the same as my drink that was not requested as a double, but cost the same amount. Slightly confused by that. read more

Look, I'm a fat, jolly man. I've been coast to coast eating fried unhealthy foods. Drank enough booze to float a battleship. I'm here to tell you, the cheese curds in this joint are phenomenal. Fried cheese with a side of ranch always sounds good but this place just does it better. Also, the mac n cheese brat. Cheesy noodles, a quality brat (made across the street, no less) all covered with bacon and presented on a pretzel bun. Definitely a decent place to grab a bite of eat downtown. My #1 mission when arriving in Milwaukee was to find a place with cheese curds, and Who's On Third delivered. I don't know if they are truly the best cheese curds in town, but they were certainly very tasty, and I was happy to have ordered them. My husband and a friend enjoyed local beers with our lunch, and I got a vodka and soda in a pint glass (without even having to ask for a "big girl drink"). Service was fast and friendly, and our server was patient with our questions on what beers he would recommend, which was the best dipping sauce with the cheese curds (ranch), etc. We also enjoyed a Wisconsin bratwurst, made locally, a Cuban sandwich, and the club - all with fries. Everything came out hot and quickly, which was good as we were all starving and needed a good food base for what ended up being a long day of festival-going! Service here was better than most bars in downtown Milwaukee. The food was also a little bit better when compared to bars downtown....but on a grand scheme of things, it wasn't nearly as good as I was hoping it'd be. Comparing my burger to other burgers around Milwaukee, there's nothing about the burger here that stood out at all. That's not to say it's a bad burger by any means, but just nothing that makes you desire to go back anytime soon. They are known for their cheese curds, and I can seeeee how they could be amazing, but mine were a bit undercooked, so I was a little upset to have spent $8.50 on them. Nice thing was, they didn't charge me for my soda, which was definitely alright by me. Odd that some places want to charge you for refills, some places won't charge you at all. Made me not feel as bad about the expensive, under cooked cheese curds. read more

I recently moved to Milwaukee and was introduced to Who's by my sister. We now go to the bar multiple days a week due to the fun environment, friendly staff, and amazing food and drinks. I've never been to a bar where they genuinely care about their customers and want to get to know them/what they like. We came here for dinner and a drink on a Wednesday night. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted by a server who also seemed to be tending bar. We both ordered their special of the night- $6 Captain drinks- with diet cokes and perused the menu. Drinks came out promptly, and we were ready to order. We both ordered medium burgers- I got the Kick burger, with the kick sauce on the side. The burgers came out shortly after, with my sauce on the side. When I cut my burger in half, I noticed something strange on my knife and realized I'd gotten my burger loaded up with sauce on it, and also the sauce on the side. Not idea, but not terrible. It mostly soaked into the bun, so I just ate most of the burger without the top bun. The sauce itself had a strong chipotle flavor. It wasn't bad, but it just tasted super calorific, so I wanted to keep it to a minimum (I mean, I already had two cheeses and bacon on this burger already!). The burger itself was really good! Great flavor all around. The fries were good as well. And for $9.95 I left stuffed and satisfied. I would definitely come back here again. Service was good, food was good, and drinks were good.
