Went here today for the first time. Started with an order of the cheese curds and they are fresh hand battered ones that were excellent (some of the best I have ever had) then had a few beers that were very nice and Ice cold while I waited to get hungry enough to eat a burger and fries. Asked for medium rare and it came out cooked perfectly the way I like it (a light medium rare) and had great beef flavor. the bacon was cooked perfectly as well and was very good. Topped it off with cheddar cheese that was great tasting and melted perfectly. The fresh brioche bum was soft and amazingly good! The fries were slightly thin cut and had a nice crispy crunchy texture and great flavor. The place was clean as a whistle and had all friendly employees and Brian the bar tenders service was very good as well as the conversation that we had while we enjoyed our great drinks and amazing food!!! 5 stars all the way! And I will definitely be heading back here again. It's just to bad I don't get down that way to often but now I have a reason to head to that area!! Imagine coming here late night ordering a fish and chips and it takes 40 minutes to arrive. On top of that they didn't even let me finish my food and kicked me out. Great sports bar, about 100 yards off the Milwaukee river. Had dinner with the wife before a nice walk. Today was a Brewers night game so it was bouncing! They have a free shuttle to the stadium and it was definitely being utilized. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with curds on the side. (Do not come here and not get curds...) I came here with my brother before heading to a concert at Turner Hall around the corner, and it was on an off-game night, so a game day/night experience might be different, but this was a solid place. They did have Thursday Night Football going, but it was between the Patriots and the Bills, so I don't think many of the people at the bar were actually there for the game. The space itself is relatively large and would make for a perfect game-day viewing--it's a long, narrow room that stretches from the front of the building to the back when you enter, and there's a side room with a bar that was closed when we were there. It looked like it's pretty big and can fit a lot of people in during a gameday, so we're planning on coming back and checking it out eventually. My brother and I had two different craft beers, and I do have to say they have a rather large selection of beer, at least more than your typical sports bar, which I appreciated, especially if you're looking for something other than PBR or Miller Lite. We both also got meals--he got a burger, and I had a chicken tenders platter with fries. The fries were delicious--crispy and fresh and extremely hot when they came out, meaning they were as fresh as they could possibly be. The chicken tenders also tasted good, but they were different from 'normal' chicken tenders--Who's On Third uses a different kind of battering process than other kinds of bars/restaurants, and it seems like they dip them in homemade batter and then fry them. This allows a kind of casing to form around the chicken itself, and when you start to eat the chicken tender and get down near the end, the chicken itself falls out of the casing, meaning you either have to pick the chicken up and put it back in the flaky casing, or you just eat them separately. A little bit of a weird eating experience, but it still tasted great! The service was also really good--the server took our order as soon as we sat down, and she was checking up on us regularly, enough that I felt like we never waited for too long. There was a space in the back for darts with a few lively games going, but otherwise, it was a very quiet, low-key night. If I come back here in the future for a Bucks game and the place is rocking, I think that'll bump it up to a five-star. For now, it's a solid sports bar option near Fiserv, and a great place to grab a beer and something to eat any night of the year. read more

Planned to have a bucks game party downtown for my friends and family. Alec helped us organize tables and took care of us during the game. 10/10 service! Alec was fast with orders and very nice. Everyone I was with was extremely impressed and said how they are dying to come back for more sports games and events. I Would highly recommend this bar if you are looking for a fun, inviting place to hang with your friends. Ask for Alec if you can. He definitely made the night for me and my group. My wife and I were in town for a Brewers game and swung by here to watch the NBA Eastern Conference Finals game 7. Place was packed but we found a table. We order four different apps and they were all good! I use to live in Buffalo so I'm a wing snob and I can say that these wings are arguably the best I've ever had outside of Buffalo! The grilling of them gives them a great taste but still the crispy texture. The only thing that wasn't great were the cheese curds; it was a lot of fried and not much cheese. They were still good just could have been better. Prices were good, service was fantastic and I would come back again for sure! read more

Have you seen those episodes of Bar Rescue where the owner's son get's smashed at his Father's bar and drives out all the customers every night? Well this is another one of those places, except I don't know if this guy is actually related to ownership. We where there for Sunday Night Football as we thought it was a good sports bar. Instead we found a sports themed bar more interested in playing Celine Dion, Spice Girls, and Mariah Carey back to back with this belligerent fool mumbling into a microphone. He was clearly intoxicated, putting his arms around us and others and not making any sense at all. I had to tell the staff that the game was even on. At some point a manager came out and was clearly kicking the guy out. We paid and left and would not recommend this place for an actual sports fan. read more

This place had the best music! Your typical sports bar with lots of tvs and people! Place was loud. But it was ok. They have a short menu for late night which was fine. We ordered some appetizers. Came here on a Saturday for lunch with some coworkers. It wasn't crowded but a decent amount of people. We were seated right away. The only thing that could be an issue is parking depending on what time of day you decide to go. I decided to order the grilled wings with Sriracha Ginger and Garlic Parmesan with Blue cheese. They are always in the Top 5 when it comes to best wings in the city of Milwaukee.... The wings were a nice size definitely flavorful but a little fatty. The Sriracha Ginger was tangy but not spicy. Has a lot of kick to them but not overbearing. The Garlic Parmesan was bursting with flavor as well. Definitely would order again, except I would what them grilled a little harder to cut the fat down. Overall good wings, I will have to order them again to determine if they are Great :) The house made chips were an excellent compliment to the wings. Crisp, fresh and salted perfectly to go with the side of ranch dressing. Had a good time at Who's On Third, I will be back to try the wings again.... read more

I've been to Who's On Third many times for late night beverages. This is the first time I've dined here and it was a pretty ok experience. Atmosphere - We ate here on a Saturday afternoon on a day that was perfect for sitting outside. I love their patio space on Old World Third. There's plenty of seating and all of the tables have umbrellas. It's a great set up for people watching if you're into that! The inside is dimly lit and is a basic sports bar. Plenty of seating inside too. Food - I had a grilled chicken sandwich. Everyone else at the table had burgers. The menu and food seem to be nothing special. It's your basic bar food. They do have a good selection of items to choose from, but nothing seems overly fantastic. I should also note that they have a brunch menu which includes a glass of champagne. I would be up for trying that! Service - Slow. Very slow. It took around 45 minutes to get our food. I understand that it was a busy day, but come on, there was nothing that complicated about our sandwiches. Overall - I'm sure a future drunken stupor will lead me back to Who's on Third for a few beverages, but I wouldn't choose to eat here again. read more

I've only ever had Bonnie as my server and boy is she great. She's super friendly and has never once screwed up my order. Whatever they're paying her is not enough. Very nice atmosphere on a sunny day on the patio. Waitress was very kind but forgot the beer chasers with the bloody mary's, syrup for our brunch, and potatoes for 3 of our meals. We waited up to 20 minutes for her to come back to the table and decided to pass on getting the potatoes or chasers because the syrup itself had taken so long. I have only been here 2 times before and after today I know I'll be coming back soon! The first time was good, great cheese curds. Went back today for the curds again and at lunch time they were pretty busy. It made me nervous bc we leave work for lunch and only get an hour. But, I had nothing to worry about as two very friendly employees helped us the entire time. We literally never had to wait for anyone or flag someone down for anything! They were totally on the money. I also have to say this time I tried a chicken wrap with fries and I'm not a HUGE fry fan but these fries were so good I was gobbling them up so fast. The wife and I planned on going to Octoberfest for our 30th anniversary but things didn't go as planned. So, rather than doing nothing we decided on throwing a belated party, for family and close friends. Open bar, appetizers, and 2 of our favorite bartenders. Who's on Third did not disappoint. With minimal effort from me, but maximum persistence from the owner of Who's on Third, we had a night to remember, as did many of our guests who told us so days / weeks later. The food was top notch, but more importantly, the staff of Who's made ever person who attended the party feel like it was being thrown at my home and "everybody (from Who's) knew their names". That one night celebration was better than any 2 weeks we could have experienced anywhere! I asked for a specific dollar amount zone and as is typical, the costs were less than planned / discussed. Yes, it's a young crowd that frequents the place, but with our private side of the establishment, it was perfect for our select group of family and friends. We don't miss a Thursday night unless all hell is breaking loose. Between the same friendly staff, excellent $0.50 wings and a nice mix of customer base, we prefer to be at Who's on Third then at Home looking at each other and asking "What do you want to do tonight". read more

Who's on Third? Clever name for this spot on 3rd street. Not only do they have such a witty, clever name but they also have excellent service and solid pub fare menu. They do it up right and the atmosphere is inviting. They have great happy hour specials and lot's of room for large groups. We had an office party at Third and it surprisingly turned out to be a perfect place to host it. The wings, fries, and a few other appetizers that were served to us were great. I would call this a sports bar as they have a lot of TV's and I think it would be an excellent place to catch a game. Good things going on here! read more

GREAT downtown pub. Great happy hour, great food and great atmosphere. After doing the lakefront brew tour, we stopped in here for their very popular cheese curds and....they were the BEST cheese curds I've ever had. It is a must. They had good beers on tap and we happened to be there when they had $2 burger night. They hit you for about fifty cents per topping....but for 7 bucks I got a very large, juicy cheese burger with a side of mac and cheese and it was all awesome. After our big meal, we went to the back of the bar to play some darts and had a great time hanging out there for a few hours. I've been to Who's On Third several times now. Some key things to note: they have a kids menu, big TVs, lots of TVs, an iPhone charger and single serving bottles of wine. The first time I was in was a few weeks after opening. I ordered a grass fed burger which came with warm chips. I'm not sure whether they offer grass fed burgers anymore. I think they were still working through kinks at the time because I remember there being something odd about the size or shape of the pickles and not being able to fit them on my burger or something. The burger was fine, nothing great to me, but if you know me at all, you know I'm not a true burger aficionado. Fast forward several months and we stopped back in and there were two really nice gents working behind the bar, Mike & Dave. They were offering $3 tap beer, rails and wine and 1/2 off the app of the day (Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m). I tried the blackened chicken wrap...not bad. I also got to try the wings. I prefer my wings saucy and these were the grilled variety, so I personally wouldn't rush back for those. We stopped in with some friends one time and tried Grandma's dip. Let me tell you, Grandma knows something about making a thick dip. After a few bites, the dip became somewhat addictive to me. I would share it with someone again. We also stopped by for $2 burger night. You get a patty and bread for $2, then pick your add ons for 25 cents to $1.50 more. I decided on a burger on rye with Gouda, pickles and raw onions but soon found out they were out of Gouda. I decided on Swiss instead. The rye ended up being lightly toasted marble rye bread. I topped the patty with mustard and ketchup and really enjoyed the flavor of the pickle slices. I had ordered the patty medium, and I would say it was prepared medium and the meat had a nice flavor. Mr. R threw in an order of the battered fries with his $2 burger. If you would have asked me if I would like some battered fries, I would have said HELL NO GET THOSE AWAY FROM ME, but I tried these and they were piping hot with a nice crispy crust on the outside and I ended up really liking them. On this night there was another really nice young guy working behind the bar, although he didn't tell us his name. One thing I will say about the bar staff at Who's is that they all seem to be very friendly. Next on my list is trying their brunch, which they started serving more recently. read more

Definite college bar but on a Sunday watching NFL Playoffs it was a good mix of non-college aged adults, couples, groups, and a few Chads/Brads. Service was excellent from the bartenders to the servers. We had a few beers and some appetizers over the course of a few hours. The curds were standard for Wisconsin-salty, fried delicious. Large baked pretzels were well made and not over salted. Lastly the wings...oh boy those hot wings. These are fried and grilled or vice versa then tossed in your choice of sauces. We chose traditional buffalo with some ranch and blue cheese. If you like your wings dredged in a ton of batter then fried these aren't for you. But if you like a crispy skin and a perfect buffalo sauce than order away. They will get your lips going with that heat. They are fantastic and I can't wait to be back in MKE for more. read more
