It comes with consommé which is a delicious Mexican (presumably beef) stew seasoned with guajillo Mexican peppers and other things. My last order which fed the whole family was the Taco Tray which is 15 Birria Tacos w/ cheese and toppings and four consommés for $58. It's now available to order online. It's a large, complicated order and it takes a bit of time to put it together, so be patient. You get the tacos and also a split sauteed onion and a few grilled serrano peppers laid on top of the tin foil tray sealed tight. The sliced cold toppings which include a huge number of really juicy lime quarters are in a separate container and then the four hot consume containers with plastic spoons are separate as well. There is also a container of chopped red onion & fresh cilantro. Also, homemade chilled red and green hot sauce packets. The tacos and consume are piping hot and stay hot all the way home. The chilled toppings stay chilled. Everything sealed tight, no spillage. So you get home and spread everything out on your table. Tacos and consume are still steaming. Grab a taco, add the chilled toppings to the taco and also some of the chopped onions & cilantro, add a healthy squirt of fresh lime juice, add some hot sauce if you wish, add a grilled onion slice or grilled serrano slice if you wish, then dip the taco into the consume (birria stew). Then bite into the dripping taco. It's a kaleidoscope of flavors that seem to come to you in waves. Each flavor is distinct. Every bite is a thrill. You've never experienced anything like this. Overall, I cannot complain about the food, quality, service and price. Tacos will typically run $3-$4, which is a bit standard for the area, and they are loaded with plenty of fixings. Also, Trippy has daily specials for certain items on the menu. For small place, the restaurant has a pretty extensive Tex-Mex menu, so I think everyone should find something that they'll like. Although the restaurant has some seating, this place is more of a take-out spot. One tip: I highly recommend ordering before arriving to Trippy Taco, so you can simply grab and go. Unfortunately, parking is a bit limited and tight (like most places in this area). While the food, service and prices are pretty good, I'll admit that I would not go too far out of my way to visit since there are no shortage of Tex-Mex spots in the area. But, it's a great spot to check out on your way from Point A to Point B. Usually, I visit on my way home from the gym (to undo the benefits of my workout).

This smoothie was the right thickness and was shockingly sweet from the pineapple juice. You could not taste any bitterness from the kale yet the green color clearly identified it was blended in. I ordered the large smoothie and was so full! I was expecting it would be the appetizer to my breakfast, however, it kept me full for hours! At the $12 price point I thought it was well worth it for how delicious, nutritious, and filling it was. This truck had a pretty long line and I thought they moved through the orders efficiently. I felt they had a good team taking and blending orders and I would certainly come back to try more of their offerings.

We rolled into Savage Park around noon (Jun 2026) We jousted for parking with baseball-goers and playground-goers. We got a good spot. Then we pulled out our camp chairs and set up in the shade. We got our go-to: Authentic Chicago Dogs! Hot! Loaded with the right combo if all the right toppings! Poppy-seed buns! Perfect! Delicious! Soft drinks and chips to go with. They have many other dogs, even vegetarian dogs. This was the "Big Trailer", so we could also get baked beans, with just a little spiciness that builds up. The big trailer also has Black Angus smash burgers, veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, chicken nuggets, fries, pasta salad, and Italian donuts. Delicious! Ordered my fav vegan dog with cheese (i know! lol) & a vegan Chicago dog. I was only able to eat one lol Service is always awesome. Definitely check them out!
