Anytime I'm craving a good burger I always hit up Wibbley's. I've tried quite of few of there burgers as well as there fish n chips which is awesome. My dad was craving a fish burger which I've had here before and got two to go. I was excited to share my love for Wibbley's with my dad and we both took our first bite. I was like hmm that was crunchier then I remembered. Took a few more bites and the fish didn't look fresh, it was over fried but I was starving at finished it Hopefully I won't regret that decision later. As awful as this experience was today I'm sure I'll go back but won't be getting a fish burger. I'm hoping this was a fluke and really hope I'm not going to get my dad and I sick. Solid cheeseburger, I appreciated the bun, wasnt soggy or super greasy salty fries, not overcooked but not too little salt so its just dry potato solid mocha shake, good amount of flavors to try. microbrew beers there but didn't have any. read more

Based on the flames that could be seen in the kitchen, my expectations were one of two things - fire trucks were rolling or a burger that I was excited to try was in the works. It turned out to be the latter and what was one of the better, if not the best, burgers I've had in quite awhile. There are many ways to prepare a burger and for whatever reason charbroiled seems to be increasingly less common. In my opinion, an open flame, grilled patty cannot be beat. I went with the standard bacon cheeseburger. The patty was thin and more on the well done side of the spectrum which goes against some popular burger ideals. Neither are a problem here as the seared in juices and perfectly charred exterior produce a phenomenal flavor. As for the supporting cast - A thick slice of perfectly melted cheese; check. Loaded with a well flavored, thick and crispy slices of bacon; check. Not one, but two thick slices of fresh tomatoes; just as every standard burger should. Thick sliced pickles and my personal preference of shredded lettuce; done and done. Sandwich this combination between a set of perfectly toasted sesame seed buns and this is about as good as it gets. This burger comes standard with Wibbley's house sauce. While I'm sure it was present and lent to the overall goodness, the sauce not distinct or overly noticeable in any way. With the burger described above, any side is going to lose its significance. The fries were good though. If I had to guess I'd say the fries are house cut. They had a little skin left on and were golden and crisp throughout. Don't be mislead by the term "half" order. Combined with the burger, the half order was all (and probably more) than this 230 lb., appetite healthy, guy should've eaten. Every part of my experience here was great and this burger is one that will not soon be forgotten. Just the thought of it now, takes me back to a happier place. read more

2.5 I haven't been here in years, this place has gone downhill since my last visit or I've developed amnesia. Given I recalled the exact number of friends and reviews of participants in the event today, I'm voting against amnesia. This business has what I have come to call the "kiss of death", or as it's more commonly known...the "yelp loves us" sticker. Nothing spectacular. The burger was typical of any "look we aren't a chain" and even some "we are a chain, but cool" places, the fries were standard, the onion rings good, but not great. The shake, just as "yeah, so it's a burger and a shake" as everything else I had. *sigh* Someone ban those damn stickers. ETA: No booths, tables w/ barstools, packed at the noon hour. Wibbley's is a good burger let me start off with that. That being said however, I do find one or two things that are not to my liking. First, why cash only? Why not take a card? I have to pay an ATM fee to get my burgers? Second the burgers are really good, but they use shredded lettuce...They are gourmet but decide to skimp on the lettuce? Don't get me wrong the burgers are good, but please no more shredded lettuce...it is soggy and tastes gross...Yes I know I could get it without lettuce but that is not my point and you know it. Delicious burger! I came here yesterday for the first time, well after the lunch rush so seating was easy. Had the South of the Border and added grilled onions. It was made fresh, and was so hot and juicy and delicious! Very good quality. The fries were acceptable. Not bad. Pretty good. But the espresso malt I had was amazing! Man. What a let down. I mean, they have burgers, but so effing what? Their sides kinda suck, their burgers are average. They lose a star for not taking credit/debit and one for having crappy hours. Stopped here tonight after shopping at Cash & Carry which is in the far end of the same complex. They had so many mixed reviews that I thought I'd see what I thought. First, I wouldn't call them GOURMET. They are pretty standard burgers non-fast food chain burgers. If I see gourmet, I envision very thick ground chuck. That being said, it was a tasty burger, much better than most of the places serving similar burgers. They claimed "Char Broiled" and I didn't watch, but it sure looked like a regular grill - yet it tasted Char Broiled. I had the Bacon Cheese burger and didn't opt for a second patty as I wasn't that hungry and knew I'd be eating later in the evening. It was juicy, but not drippy. Sure they used a big pile of lettuce, but I like lots of lettuce so no complaints from me. The lettuce and tomato seemed fresh, the bacon was great. It was a good combination and the price was less than the comparable upper tier standard burger places (Kidd Valley and Burgermaster). The counter girl was very friendly as was the owner (owners's wife?). I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop again if I was in the area. read more

It's a strip mall location on the far side of Bellevue near the 520 so it's bit of a drive for me. Still I drove there to try this place. I was underwhelmed by their burger. It was fresh but very average. The Century burger had blue cheese dressing instead of blue cheese. I almost cried as it was a soggy mess. The regular burger was ok, but again very ordinary. I am almost beginning not to trust Yelp anymore as I read rave reviews about this place but the 2 times I've been there I've not had a burger that was worth writing home about. It just may be that Seattle being a healthier city, people eat actual burgers not too often...I mean people rave about Dick's. Their shakes are amazing but the burgers?! Nah! But they're cheap food at least, Wibbley's ends up being expensive. Certainly there is nothing too gourmet about Wibbley's. The fries are also just very regular, hot, fresh but limp. I've eaten such great burgers in Tennessee, Texas, Minnesota for half the price. And in California for a similar price but a great burger! I thought this burger was going to rock my face off based on the reviews here. But sadly, no. I got the chicken sandwich, and I don't think I've ever seen a thinner slice of chicken in my life. Sad. The bun was a bun. The tomato was fresh and cold, which was nice, but how do you screw up cutting a tomato? The fries were good, not crazy good. Damn perfect burgers! Damn shame you can't find a seat! Forget Red Robin, toss the Fatburger away, this joint has the best burgers in town. (Actually their fries and onion rings are pretty freakin' good too.) Instructions to enjoying Wibbley's: 1. Enter the no-frills burger joint. 2. Peruse the wooden menu on your left while _waiting_ in line. 3. Step up to the counter and order *your burger here* with a half order of fries and onion rings and drink. 4. Stand around and _wait_. 5. Make a quick but subtle dash for the next open table. 6. Sit around and _wait. 7. Enjoy your perfectly cooked burger and piping hot sides. This is my family and my favorite burger place on the Eastside. Good quality ingredients assembled into excellent burgers. Chicken strips perfect. Fries and shakes excellent, prices very reasonable. I don't know if this is a family-owned business, but it seems like it. The counter staff very courteous and seem to care about the satisfaction of the customers. read more

OK - This is one is an exception. Normally i wouldn't go on some fancy pants review website and announce to the world one of my all time favorite burger joints in the world, but since I no longer work on the east side, I made an exception. This place is located in the mother of all strip malls. Terrible area, ugly shops - a stones throw from roaring 520. But he burgers are downright AWESOME. Get the bacon cheese - you wont be disappointed. No uber grease ball burger either, these things look like the ones in the magazine commercials, not smashed and tattered. OK - so the burgers are good, thats only part of the equation. The fries are SPECTACULAR! Some of the best fries I have ever had, honest to God. So now we have a well rounded meal set up....BUT WAIT - the shakes will put you over the edge. FAN-FRICKEN-TASTIC! Only downside is a million Microsofties at lunch crowdin' up the small joint - but fight em, jab em, do what you must to get the 3 items I stated above. Wibbley's has really gone down hill from when I used to eat there. The meat is dry and lacks flavor, they are still out dated and do not have a credit card machine (I thought 10 years later they may have joined the 21st century) The menu has stayed almost exactly the same. Ok so let me preface this by saying that eating here is a gut bomb and a pure cheat meal indulgence. I will go here once every few years. I have to say that these burgers are yummy and they taste like I remember burgers tasting in the pre microwave days when places still made burgers to order. This is what you are going to find here. Whoever said the comment about chickaterian, you are an idiot (i give your intellect 1 star because I cant do 0). For starters there is no such thing as a chickaterian anymore than peskatarian. You eat meat or you dont. Fish = Meat. Dont bullshit. That said, I dont recommend anything but a real burger. That is what this place does well and it will be very tasty. The fries are actually some of the better ones. Not too greasy, firm and crisp and never soggy. Also they dont kill you with salt. That said, dont think for a moment this is even remotely healthy. Wibbleys does an okay burger, but the standard for "gourmet burger" has gone up over the years. The beef quality reminds me of frozen patties, not high quality ground chuck. The options for burger varieties are good but pedestrian. They do have gluten free buns which were nice. Staff was very pleasant. Although delicious I was a bit put off on the fact that this burger joint only accepts cash. This is stupid because the majority of pretty much everyone hates to carry cash. The atm is the first thing you see when you walk in and I just find the entire cash policy to be pretty stupid. The restaurant was slammed for lunch hour. You would think with as much service as this place gets, they could pony up the 3 percent swipe feels cards. The food on the other hand was delicious. The Chocolate shake was delicious and the fries were abundant. The chairs however - that's another story. The chairs are awful and feel like they're about to shatter at any second. My friend dragged me to Wibbley's for lunch yesterday despite my earnest protestations. My reluctance to go stemmed from the following: 1) It was noon, and I had a 1PM meeting 2) I didn't want to eat a burger RE 1) I was pleasantly surprised that despite the lunch rush, we got our food super quickly. Staff was friendly and fast! RE 2) I really should have ordered a burger, it being a burger place and all, but I was being sulky and stubborn and decided to order the fish & chips out of spite. Um, best decision ever. First of all, I got 3 HUGE pieces of fish on top of a generous portion of fries. The fries were delicious, but the fish... PERFECTLY breaded-- very thin and very crispy. Maybe the best fish & chips I've ever had. Really. tl;dr... fast, friendly service. Best fish & chips ever. Coming back next time to try a burger. read more

I was taken to Wibbley's yesterday and enjoyed it. My very large onion burger served hot, in a wrapper, no plate or utensils, was excellent, although quite messy -- as is any burger anywhere with sauce and tomato and the natural grease of the meat. Fries were crunchy and hot. Menu is very limited, but that was okay with me. My mocha shake could have used more mocha taste, as it was a bit too chocolately and not enough coffee for my preference. It was small, especially for the high price. Because of the rather uncomfortable bar stools, high tables and drop lighting that hits right in the eyes, Wibbley's is not a place that's amenable to hanging out for long after consuming the meal. Nor would this kind of seating work well for anyone in a wheelchair, even though the strip mall location is easily accessible. Counter ordering, but then they bring your order to your table. They get points for serving Coke, not Pepsi. I'll return to try another burger variety. read more

I've been coming here for about 6 months now, a coworker at my new job highly recommend them. For a long time the only thing I tried was their chicken strip basket, which comes with fries. I always got the ranch and chipotle mayo, and the mayo is probably what keeps me coming back! Recently I tried their picante burger which was one of the most amazing burgers I've had in my life. Juicy burger, not too spicy, doesn't make too big of a mess but don't try to eat it while driving. Another thing I really love about this place is the staff. They recognize me when I walk in, even if it's my day off and I'm not in my work uniform, which is another thing that keeps me coming back! This place should be called Wibbley's Hamburgers because there is nothing gourmet about their burgers....the menu is beyond boring. Usually when you get a real gourmet burger your salivating as you see the server bring it to your table that's not the case here folks. My burger lacked flavor, the fries were okay and the onion rings tasted good. All in all I just wasn't impressed with this place but I will say that the staff was friendly and my food was piping hot. Side note: I thought it was comical that Wibbley's has a website but they don't have a credit card machine...hello it's the 21st century. I have been coming to Wibbley's since 2014. Hands down the best burger in Bellevue! The quality and service over the years has been amazing.

Bellevue doesn't have too many outstanding burger joints left, but Wibbleys reigns supreme in spite of losing former stalwarts Gullivers and Kidd Valley years back. The Century Burger remains the go-to recommendation for me, but I also think their classic cheeseburger is always a terrific choice too. You can get a beer when you're there, which goes well with their fries (and fry sauce, duh). Point is, if you're in the area and could use a truly satisfying burger that isn't too pricey or as far away as Burgermaster, stop by. They're one of the last remaining staples on the north side of B'vue. read more

Excellent choice for a quick lunch and a popular spot for Microsoft employees in the neighborhood ! Service is quick, seating sufficient for small groups of 2-5 and plenty of variety for the carnivores. Recommend the Century burger with oh so delicious bacon and crumbled blue cheese on it :) Could do without the tomatoes making the bun soggy though. My colleagues got the chicken,fish and mushroom burgers and they were pretty good too. Next on my list is the picante burger which has green chillies in it :) Very reasonably priced at around 5-7 dollars for a burger. In my youth, I questioned the validity of a "pricey" burger joint. I spent my early formative years scarfing Fast Food dollar deals, wow, soo cheap! But, now, I'm a man. And real men deserve real food. Fresh produce, perfectly grilled meat, toasted buns and crunchy(!) bacon. Wibbley's delivers on all of these points, and I regret spending many years expressing my disdain for the joint. Yet, while the burgers are everything you'd expect from a classy burger joint, the fries and onion rings are a resounding meh. Starchy and not that engaging to scarf. The large is huge, enough to share with a man sized friend, so at least they have that going for them. Tables are all 4-tops, so larger groups might be uncomfortable here. Also, they're raised, and you sit on stools - presumably to help turnover and keep seats free during a rush. read more
