Came here on a Friday night for some after-dinner cocktails last year. My wife and I saw it was new and wanted to try it out especially because we're big cocktail aficionados. The place was extremely busy. It's full of style with some substance. We sat at the bar after a brief wait despite having a reservation. I looked around and I think my wife and I were probably some of the oldest people there, definitely a younger crowd. The cocktails were good but my expectations were high with the very hip and stylish atmosphere. They even have a bouncer at the door. The food is great and I love the wait staff, but the place went from a really really nice North End gem to a circus in the course of a year thanks to the management doing absolutely everything they can to make the place instagrammable. The menu used to be solid, but now it's turned into an enormous expensive kitchen-sink mess; they're constantly experimenting and trying to do way too much both as a restaurant and as a bar, basically throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks. It's overpriced for what you end up getting and the cramped ambiance. Even if you make a reservation in advance, getting seated is often a process, and thanks to their constant gimmicks, they're usually full of wannabe-influencers. The place is a lot smaller than you'd expect, so be ready for that. Maybe management should cool it a bit with the wild ever-expanding food options (that their kitchen definitely doesn't have the capacity for, hence the wait times) and the flash over substance approach, and focus on a simper, solid menu, an expanded staff, and better organization. The bouncer was very stern for a restaurant and came across as interrogative, not exactly the most welcoming foot to start on. We were seated and were waiting on one more guest and hadn't had the menus two minutes before our waiter came back to tell us that there was a reservation for our table after us and we shouldn't take our time to order, which I thought was unnecessary and rude. At the bottom of the menu there is a disclaimer that a 20% gratuity "may be added" to the bill but when we went to pay it we weren't able to edit the tip total at all (we didn't think our waiter had earned that 20% by a long shot). The food was good enough but I didn't feel it was worth the price. The drinks were very sweet, my friend who ordered an $11 mocktail didn't finish hers due to how sweet it was. They're advertised as a restaurant but Wicked Craft is painstakingly striving for a Vegas influencer club vibe. Low lighting and club music with neon signs for decorations. There was a man with a professional camera walking from table to table filming you as you eat and drink which was deeply uncomfortable. I don't remember signing a release/consent form granting them permission to film every minute of our experience there for media content, but apparently that was what you signed up for? My friends and I found this very distracting and anxiety-inducing. I would be curious to know if anyone else was as deeply bothered by this aspect of their experience too. Overall I would not recommend this place. If you want to be able to see and hear your friends, not be harassed by photographers mid-bite, as well as get remotely decent service, go to any of the other restaurants in the North End. read more

Tiktok really made this place hyped up and I was not impressed. My boyfriend and i had reservations, and we arrived about 15 mins early. we were seated right away. The dining room is extremely small, and they really pack you in. i felt like we were dining with strangers, thats how close our tables were. We ordered drinks which took 30 mins to arrive. As pictured, only one was a cocktail, the other was a simple beer. So im not sure why it took that long. We ordered a chicken flatbread. This was alright, but i wish the chicken wasnt fried cutlets cut into chunks. it made the flatbread very messy. Before we were even done with the flatbread, our meals came, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. We did not have the table space to keep our appetizer and both our meals, so we requested the appetizer to be boxed. I ordered the alla vodka and my boyfriend ordered the lemon chicken. Presentation was good, but the taste wasnt anything special. My dish was so hot i burned my mouth, definitely too hot to be serving that soon. My boyfriends lemon chicken was soggy. Customer service, horrible. I didn't cancel 24 hours before my reservations and was charged $50 for a no show basically. I tried calling this establishment at the moment it opened as well as sending a message through open table. in the middle of the night I started feeling ill. I don't want to be in an establishment spreading germs and possibly getting anyone else sick and they refused to refund me $50 for the reservation. Don't get sick people, there's no empathy for you. They focus all their attention on big parties doing bottle service. Oddly enough we would have ordered a bottle but they didn't even make any recommendations or even offer it to us. Went here for a 10-person work dinner and had an excellent time. The drinks are absolutely delicious and the vibe was on point. Only complaint was those who ordered the salmon said it tasted a little too fishy but the lobster rolls were delicious and jam-packed with lobster. I was out with friends on Friday night when my friends and I witnessed one of the security guards tackle a man and have him in a chokehold while the man was asking to be let go because he couldn't breathe. Moments later another man (short and bald) pushed a woman down on the side walk right outside the bar. Whatever the situation was I don't think it should ever lead to this level of aggression. Although the restaurant was beautifully decorated, it did not take away from the lack of friendliness and slow service. Upon entering, we were asked for ids and given a seat along the window. The street view was nice, people watching. However, we waited 8 minutes before someone even came to bring water. When the waiter came over, he never introduced himself or even seemed interested in explaining the menu as this was our FIRST time there. We ordered drinks that took so long to get to us. As soon as he set the drinks down, we were asked what we wanted to eat. The menus were taken and we sat for several more minutes before being brought our food. While eating, we were never asked for refills or anything. The food was OK, nothing that you would be seeking but great if someone is treating you to a meal (maybe). At the end of the meal, i went to order another drink, asked the waiter for a menu and never got it. When he finally came back, menu in hand, i told him i just wanted the bill.
