    Waiting for the band.
    Kim W.

Friday night date, and we decided to enjoy some live music. The environment was great! Swanky, nice little vibe, and pretty busy. A reservation is highly recommended. We were seated promptly. We ordered appetizers and drinks, and then our meal. Everything took a minute, but our server kept checking with us. Food was piping hot! The ribs were really good. We also ordered the fried chicken meal and a side of fries. Fries were good and the biscuit was delicious! The chicken...not so much. No flavor throughout the chicken at all! Very disappointing for $32.00. In addition $44-50 to park, unless you find street parking. The venue is great, but my meal was a no. I'd been better off just ordering the ribs and the biscuit. I'm told the best night to come is Saturday night, as the band is more of an R & B vibe. Tonight's band "White Chocolate " was pretty good. We enjoyed them. I'll return for the great vibe, but will order something different for sure.

The food and drinks were delicious!!! Amazing band playing. Service was not the most attentive. But I would definitely come back.

Starting with the most important part- FOOD: If it's a table share, you'll have to order multiple apps. But all the apps were cooked very well, delicious. Ribs perfect, glad they were meaty pieces and not scrawny bones. Entrees: (and yes I tried all!) I am a steak fiend and was expecting more from the pallet but it was just eh OK. Salmon was dry and bland wish it was paired with a sauce and side dish but it was a big portion of just rice and fish. The BEST dish was the creole pasta and the two piece. I was not expecting that two piece to be the entire fowl! It was huge and tasty, not dry, biscuit was sweet and moist ! But the entrees are a good portion ! Ambience: Chic music lounge. Atmosphere is nice. It's a small/tight place, the pictures make it look bigger. We were a party of 6, sat at a booth. So some will have their back towards the stage but there's a tv screen of live view. Service: waitress was nice/attentive until it got later. Then it was harder to get someone to our table. the place turned more into a full lounge. Singer/band: perfect Drinks- kudos to the bar tenders: just right! Mixed well! Gratuity and an entertainment fee are included in the bill. Would I go back- YES

I enjoyed my time at GBN! The food, the drinks, and the music were good. This is a nice spot to come to celebrate a special occasion or bring out-of-town visitors who like live music. It was a packed house, and we still received attentive service.

Went here for Sunday brunch with friends and loved the atmosphere. The large windows let in so much open light, the blues and oldies live music hit just right, and the food was fantastic. We really enjoyed ourselves. This time the server (pretty sure it was the same one) split our bill 3 ways but said it had to be evenly. I'm not sure if this is due to not wanting to split them himself or actual policy not posted anyone, but very much so a nuisance to customers .

What a night! It was maitre'd Tyler's birthday, and Angelena and the Unit put on a SHOW. WOW that girl can saang! Tyler arranged for us to stay into the second set cause we didn't want to leave. Amazing vibe and energy in this place. Awesome fried chicken dinner. Spectacular ribs appetizer. And a night full of soul, '70s, '90s R&B, and more. Privileged just to take it all in.

Came in for dinner after cocktail carnival. We had nearly the place to ourselves so it must get busy later. We got pizzas and sobered up. It was a good time!

Loved the vibes of this place! Really nice staff who were very helpful. The the drinks were also really good but since its Seaport cocktails are around $20 so something to keep in mind! I had the jam session and it tasted like candy. Had to hold myself back from drinking it all in one go! Can't speak for the food since I only went for a drink. One thing to note is their restroom is outside of the restaurant and shared a restroom with Alamo. Other than that I had a great time and looking forward to going again.

Finally got to experience Grace by Nia via an impromptu visit and it was quite the evening. As soon as you enter this bar the decor in is filled with gold palm trees and chandeliers giving it a Vegas feel. This place is very intimate and definitely fitting for date night. The performer of the evening was really good singing songs like 'loyalty' by Kendrick Lamar but still keeping it jazzy and moody. The crowd was also very interactive forming a dance train throughout the main floor and grabbing people as they went. It was all around fun! Unfortunately, the kitchen closed by the time we got there so I wasn't able to try any of their dishes however I ordered a French 75 which was made well. I will definitely be coming back in the future for a proper evening.

I've been to Grace by Nia several times now and think that it has already established itself as a signature establishment in Seaport. From the thoughtfully designed dining room area to the live music performances, it stands out compared to plenty of places nearby. On my most recent visit, we came for Sunday brunch. We had a great table near the front, with a perfect view to the live entertainment. There was a band featuring a soulful singer named Antoinette, who was from Texas and brought some southern soul! We decided to have a carbfest, starting with the biscuits. They have FANTASTIC chicken & apple sausage in a spicy peach sauce! Get. The. Chicken.&. Apple. Sausage! Easily one of the best dishes I've had anywhere recently. The red velvet pancakes were cool but weren't huge on the red velvet taste. They also have nice cocktails with some inventive ingredients. I appreciate that Grace by Nia is the type of venue where people of all ages can have a good time. Unlike some other venues that rush you out after you've been seated for a certain time, we are always able to enjoy ourselves here. I hope Grace by Nia enjoys many years in Seaport and beyond!

This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever seen. It was like stepping into another world. The cocktails, ribs and mac and cheese were exquisite! The menu tends toward More heavy items, but the beet salad is really good especially if you add the grilled shrimp. We enjoyed the jazz trio.

I'm thinking about going tonight while in town . Is there a place to sit at a bar and enjoy solo?

Yes, they have bar seating. There were some small tables too. They also had nice big booths for big groups that could seat 8 comfortably or 10 in a nice tight squeeze

It was a Sunday night and we didn't feel like going far for a meal. That's when we put the voucher to use as the Capiz is in the lobby of the hotel. We went for an early dinner. Walking into the restaurant, no one was there to greet us and there was no host stand. Finally, a server (who also turned out to be our server) told us to pick where we wanted to sit. We chose a four-top table. When it was time to order, we were dealing with a limited menu. I chose lobster quesadillas, which were listed under "appetizers". My husband chose the fish and chips. The quesadilla was sloppily made. Some pieces had hardly any cheese or lobster in them. Other pieces were overloaded with lobster and cheese. While it was all edible and the lobster was properly cooked, it still was underwhelming. My husband said the fish was well prepared, flaky and crispy at the same time. There were too many French fries, making the plate a bit messy. In a pinch, Capiz did fit the bill as we didn't feel like going far for a meal that day.

We ordered several dishes to share: beef tartare, octopus, crudo, steak, meatloaf, Brussels sprouts, and lobster mac & cheese. Out of everything, the octopus was the only dish that really stood out, and the drinks were still solid. Steak was at high price point but below average for quality. Mac and cheese somehow the sauce was all on the bottom and not covering the Mac.. Also, Parmesan seemed to be on about 95% of the dishes. I like Parmesan, but after this meal, I never want to see another sprinkle of it again. LOL. The service was honestly the biggest disappointment. For an upscale restaurant charging upscale prices, I expected much more attentive service. No one ever came by to ask how the food was, and I actually had to box up my own leftovers. At this price point, that should not be happening. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and I can see myself coming back for drinks and maybe a few apps at the bar. But for dinner? I'd skip the table and the entrees.
