Had dinner here this past Friday night. My family was so excited to return after a delicious meal earlier in the week. Unfortunately Friday nights dining experience was totally different than Tuesdays and not in a good way. We waited for a table outside since it was a beautiful night, after a half hour wait we were seated overlooking the marina, beautiful view. My husband and I each ordered a glass of wine which we waited for almost 30 minutes to receive and comically one came in a wine glass and the other in an old fashioned glass, the waiter said we ran out of wine glasses, oooofff. Then my husband and I wanted the stuffed shrimp which came over risotto, I asked the waiter if he could do the risotto without mushrooms and peas as described on the menu. He went and asked and said sure no problem. Unfortunately the kitchen prepared the stuffed shrimp with mushrooms, I don't like mushrooms! Then my son got the chicken lettuce wraps and he wasn't able to eat the lettuce wraps/shells, he said they tasted like hand sanitizer. My daughter ordered the shrimp po boy and enjoyed that. We came in with a large party the other night and got two servers Chloe and Mandy, they were the funniest duo ever, but also so attentive made us feel like their only guest even though we were clearly in a private room made for large parties which there were plenty of. The food was out of this world they both suggested plates like the yum yum roll which they said they share all the time, the catch imperial was amazing so was the wicked shrimp and bang bang grouper they recommended. Great place for a nice family dinner. One thing I really enjoyed was the wine pairings that they offer for each item. The food was great tasting, but cooking temperature wasn't consistent. The service was good 95% of the time, with a little slip here and there, but it is due to being short-staffed. All in all, a great experience and will be going back! read more

I would not recommend for sushi connoisseurs. 9 out of their 11 specialty rolls have fried shrimp in them, and they won't let you order rolls without shrimp, "no modifications." We come to Wicked Tuna 3-4x a year and have always been impressed with the quality of sushi and have ordered rolls without the shrimp, but the fried shrimp in the rolls sort of ruins it (not to mention we have shrimp allergies in the family and generally try to avoid it). read more

We sat at the outside bar and best choice ever. Mackenzie and Darren were amazing bartenders. So personable and friendly it was the reason we came back the next day. Mackenzie gave the best wine and food recommendations. We had two sushi rolls and the tempura cauliflower the first night and had the wicked shrimp the next evening. Oh my, this was SO great! We saw only 3.5 stars across more than 1k reviews & were a little skeptical but the menu sounded interesting so we gave it a try and are we glad we did! From Kelsey's welcoming prompt service to the tremendously flavorful Bang Bang Grouper, to the Tuna Pizza (more like nachos but VERY good!) to the tasty & creative Dragon's Egg & the delectable Catch of the Day Piccata. On top of all this, a great waterfront view with a "classy casual" vibe, and being described as "hook to table" with locally caught fish from their own boats is really worth something in our book. I have been to Wicked Tuna at this location plenty times in the past. I will say I am unsure if I will be returning. To start, our original server, Nicole, showed up once at the beginning and after taking our drink orders, never showed up again for the rest of the night. (Keep in mind the drinks didn't arrive until SOME of the food got here) Now for the meals, two of my companions ordered salads, (Which by the way never came), and all of our food and drinks took 30+ minutes to come out, with two other guests in our group not getting their food for atleast 1 hour. Along with that, we couldn't even eat because there was nobody to give us utensils or napkins, resulting in us having to rip them im half and share. And while we're on the topic of napkins, we had to ask atleast 5 seperate times before they came. Since our server, (NICOLE), was Heavily Incompetent, another nearby waiter, (We didn't know his name but he was very grumpy and "Irritated" with nicole for "leaving him hanging" and "Im not sure whats going on with her". all I know is that i'm thankful for him to step up and help out, regardless of the attitude. To finish, Nicole finally showed up at the end and tried to act nice just so she could get a goodtip, which we did not want to leave as we wish we could've transferred it to the other helpful waiter, who did his job for her. Unfortunately, since we had a group of 11, our Tip was automatically applied, which we were dissapointed about as Nicole probably knew this and slacked off knowing she would get a gratuity regardless. All in all, I will say that I hope management has a "lil chat" with Nicole about her plans for the future, as I hope it's not with wicked tuna, since I know serving isn't her best work. Always a a wicked tuna fan. I've eat at all 3 locations (MI, Tuna Shak, Myrtle) and loved them. Most recently I was on the deck in Murrells Inlet. Service was fast, drinks we good and for the first time didn't come in a novelty glass (maybe they stopped that? Maybe they don't do it during the off-season?). Wicked Tuna is a place for special occasion as well as a happy hour at the bar. It can mold to what you would like out of it. While I've been for their prefix valentines dinner, I hadn't been for happy hour until this visit. The happy hour options were delicious and just enough for us. You can only get these prices if you sit in the back bar room which isn't quite as nice as inside but you can still see the water and we enjoyed it. At one point my husband leaned on the table and it tipped over, spilling everything. Several servers were dispatched for clean up, drinks were refreshed. And now the food. I wish I could be enthused about the food. We started with the tuna sushi. Pickled ginger and Wasabi accompanied 3 small pieces of tuna for $12. We ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer and it had a generous portion of tuna for $18. I didn't care for the sweet sauce with sesame seeds and wish I had ordered on the side. Plain with soy and an order of pickled ginger wiuld make this a winner. Our last dish was fried grouper bites. Again with the sweet sauce. I'm not a grouper fan but my husband liked it. Lesson learned - order all with the sauce on the side. There are a bunch of tropical foo-foo drinks to choose from and a small wine selection. They have great service, very friendly staff. We ordered their wicked shrimp for an appetizer and oh man was it delicious. We also ordered a bowl of she crab soup for everyone to try and that was also delicious. For my entree, I ordered shrimp scampi. The sauce was a perfect combination of lemon, butter, and garlic. The shrimp was also cooked perfectly, not overdone or underdone like a lot of places tend to be.
