Decor: nice. In all fairness, did not have sushi, but ordered ginger mojito from menu, with sub of 10 Cane rum for Bacardi. Mojito was not muddled, ginger was from mix, and I received a $4 upcharge for liquor substitution! The coctail was $17.29, and last time I looked I wasn't in Manhattan.... (Just bought several cases of rum for my wedding, and I know the price differential per bottle didn't justify the specified upcharge.) Probably won't stop by again. Typing this on android at the restaurant as I am waiting 15 min for my check after I asked for it. Don't stop by if you have a short layover less than an hour...in the last 10 minutes I saw several patrons cut out early because they had been waiting. Initially my expectations weren't too high for "airport food". However I was pleased and will certainly be back. This was much better than the Wolfgang Puck pop-up restaurant in an adjacent terminal. This place will be my go-to for future connecting flights. Just ordered Hawaiian roll and shrimp udon in the morning. Udon soup was not hot enough it was lukewarm where the udon taste was not full. Also as I was eating udon they did not completely peeled the egg shell so i had some shell. Ewww. It was not pleasant. Maybe i came too early but still this was become more questionable for any future visitors. If the restaurant is busy how much will this place can serve a good quality food. Hawaiian roll was alright. I personally want to eat rich taste of fresh sushi. Nevertheless, Hawaiian roll at this place was more of fruit -mango- taste that take away sushi's flavor. If they reduce the mango flavor bit down maybe the roll taste much better. If you enjoy rich taste of mango this could be good for you. My attempt in here was not very successfully. Since flying from Fargo to O'Hare if faster than flying to MSP and taking a cab to Origami, Wicker Park is the closest decent sushi to home, time-wise. It is certainly better than anything Fargo has to offer. I eat here every time I am in Chicago. Service is fine: quick and efficient, which is appropriate for travelers. They always seem accommodating. The saki is hot, the fish is fresh and chilled. No, it is not "premium" sushi, and it's a bit expensive for what it offers in terms of quality, but it is a great treat in an unexpected location nonetheless. FOUR STARS. read more

Tried this last week on my connecting flight - had to since I ate pretty unhealthy the past week. Not bad, coming from Vancouver, BC we are a bit spoiled with good quality sushi at reasonable prices. Ordered the spider roll, for those of you who don't know it's the softshell crab maki. $17 which is decent for the airport since the ingredients are quite pricey. Met my expectations and loved the asparagus that came with it. Also, had the rainbow roll maki (roll with raw fish on top). This roll was $14 and okay. Overall this roll was okay due to the fact they used imitation crab meat instead of real "kani." You should expect real crab meat for that price. read more

We were there 10 minutes before their stated closing time. We asked the host if we could get anything available - edamame for instance - and he said no. These people just lied to my best friend and told her that toro sushi is banned. Either the server was grossly uninformed or they were out of stock and didn't want to say anything. Now unless I'm missing something here that information that went into effect in the last week or so because my google searches have come up empty, my friend is a food safety quality inspection auditor and I ate toro at Todoroki in Evanston in the past month and asked for it at Happi Sushi in Highland Park two weeks ago and was just told they were out of it that day. This is pretty disheartening. I always look forward to eating at Wicker Park before catching my flights at O'Hare. There is no need to be dishonest with customers. read more

This might be the best lunch or dinner spot I've yet found in any airport. Good food, calm atmosphere, quick but doesn't feel hurried. Even though it's tucked away and a but of a walk from American or United main terminals, I make the effort to find it if I have an hour to spare. read more

Whenever I travel through O'Hare I make it a point to swing by here for food. It's always SO good! I had the spicy tuna and miso soup this afternoon and it was amazing as always! I was with a group so I did get to try some other things I wouldn't have typically ordered and they were ALL amazing! My experiences with the wait staff is they are always on top of things. Lets face it folks, flying ain't fun any more, its a painful, occasionally humiliating and arduous experience. I expect bad food, bad service and grumpy behavior every time I am forced to eat in an airport... so imagine my surprise when out of the glum walk from checking in and terminal F I saw rising from the distance a little oasis. Clean, white crisp and dare I say it , a glimmer of gustatory hope fluttered in my chest. After standing for several minutes I was finally seated by a hostess. Then after sitting for several more minutes, A waitress wandered over. Excited by the menu I asked a number of very challenging questions such as, what kind of oysters were they serving? She said, "on the half shell" I said I know, I can read that part. What kind of oysters are they? She said I have no idea and left it at that, LOL really? I settled on the miso soup, a large bowl of healing goodness, a lovely broth with little rice crisps floating in it. I also ordered the Escolar ( which has been re branded as "super white tuna" which I suppose is preferable to its other name which is "oil fish" (I am not kidding - look it up) I also had the Spanish Dynamite Roll, which hands down is one of my favorite rolls ever! Yellow tail, tuna , Jalapeno, cilantro, ponzu sauce, it hits the right balance between spicy and delicious. The fish is always great quality and well prepared. The rice is never gummy and sticky... I have eaten there several times since that first epiphany and i have to say it is actually one of my favorite sushi spots in Chicago. My only complaint is that the service is slow - apparently the waitstaff doesn't realize they are working inside an airport and most of us are going someplace that requires fairly snappy ( in a good way) service. On every occasion I have seen food sitting , waiting to be delivered, while staff chats and wanders. That's irritating. It is also irritating to stand ignored , waiting to be seated at the hostess stand....Which is why at the end of the day, they get a 3 not a solid 4. read more

I was in Chicago for less than 24 hours, had barely had any sleep, and was a complete zombie. Stumbled across this place and thought I'd give it a try because I didn't want heavy airport food. For an airport, this is decent sushi. I was really pleasantly surprised. The service was incredibly slow so it was good I got there early before my flight. But it didn't matter since I could get off my feet and enjoy my tea and edamame. And contrary to other experiences, my server was the nicest guy. I think I got the unagi and spicy tuna... though details are hazy. When I'm at O'Hare again, I will definitely swing by this place. read more

Deplorable service. Heard many waitresses gossiping and yelling about various things. Waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for 5 minutes while many people looked but did not seat us. They were very rude to many people and for those prices it should be fantastic service. $21 for 6 shrimp... I want excellent service, even if you are in an airport. That said it was good shrimp and the bartender was nice, but there were 15 people on staff and at least 3 were disgruntled and 4 acting inappropriately. read more

I always hope for a slight delay @ORD to swing by this sushi joint in the airport. In the United terminals, this is the best place for food in ORD. The options are great; but I usually have 3 varied rolls and a single Sapporo. The service is quick even though this joint is always packed. They have a good size crew that's very compartmentalized. The servers take order, the chefs make the food and another crew delivers. I don't know what they are called; but they do that task only. It's great I think. The price is a bit more than normal; but the food is good and especially good for airport food. read more

Really quick: Love the sushi!! Great stop on my way in or out of Terminal 2. I love getting to the airport early enough to swing in here for a beer and some fab rolls. The service is excellent and fast! Two things that are imperative for the busy, crabby traveler. Just a bit of advice: The tiramisu is delicious... but it's in no way shape or form Asian. Yes I know you sprinkled powdered green tea on top but that does NOT make it some sort of "fusion dish". But the damn thing is fabulous if a bit of a lie. Disappointing.... have been in the Chicago airport on numerous occasions and always had my eye on eating here. I Finally had a long enough layover, and on a Wednesday night 5:30, things were rather slow, including service. I had to flag down my server every time. You think being in an airport the servers would be accustomed to being quick on their feet. All that to say, I ordered various sushi and sashimi. Maybe that was my problem, as most people were ordering rolls. The albacore was a bit dry and warm. Need I say more.... Not sure I will give it another try... read more

They have pretty good sushi for an airport place. The service was quick and friendly. They will also give you a "to go" cup for your adult beverage if you can't finish in time to make your flight. I had the tempura shrimp and the Spider Roll. The tempura shrimp roll was what you would expect, but the Spider Roll was huge, and I don't mean that in a good way. It was so big that it wasn't pleasant to eat. The flavor was pretty good, but they should have cut much smaller pieces. I didn't have a salad, but the girl's salad next to me looked pretty and flavorful. Also, their house chardonnay is delicious! read more

It's pretty good for airport seafood. I had the shrimp salad, and rather oddly (and perhaps sadly), the shrimp was better than the shrimp served at many of the "higher" end or local favorite seafood spots in Charleston, SC. Getting past that fact, I had an enjoyable time there. The only bad part is the service; I think the waitstaff is on island time. I had the extra time, but a lot of the high strung folks around me seemed to be developing ulcers as each request, i.e., water or a bill took about 10 minutes to fulfill. It was fun eavesdropping on all the self-centered people that came in with uber-picky requests (at an airport seafood restaurant, really?). I heard a woman complain about the firmness of her chair and asked if they had a pillow or small cushion. I heard a man complain that they did not have sea urchin, but should gosh darn it! Another guy inquired; do you have flavored cappuccinos? WTF, really? So yeah, if you live in your bubble, this place may disappoint, but if you want a decent meal while on layover, give it a go! read more
