    Southwestern burger with tater tots!!
    Simon W.

Went for brunch on a Sunday. I had the chicken tacos and my wife ordered avocado bean bowl. Her bowl had a poached egg, but even with that and lime it was devoid of flavor and no discernible cilantro. My tacos were ok but the rice and beans also bland so we got cholula. Bowl was bland "on purpose" due to the "freshness" but the beans are canned so that explanation does not sit well. They can do better. Staff are pleasant and mostly attentive. Outside patio is where it's at.

I've been here quite a few times and they're always on top of it. Mark the owner is awesome and super friendly. Ryan the bartender is friendly and will sit and talk with you if you're at the bar top. They've always got great food, great drinks, and sports on the TVs. The food here is always AMAZING. I've never had anything I didn't like here. I recently had the smoked wings and they were super flavorful. They are served with Buffalo sauce as well as your choice of ranch or blue cheese. My brother and I also had the pretzel braid on this trip and it was pretty good as well. I've had the pork spud before and it's a loaded baked potato with a pile of pulled pork on it. And it comes with a side as well! The chicken tenders are also awesome. It's a lot of chicken tenders on a plate with your choice of side and a honey sriracha dipping sauce. Highly recommend getting the tater tots. The service is always amazing. As stated earlier, Mark is the owner and he's always helping the staff out and making sure everyone dining in the restaurant is having a good experience. Ryan is one of the bartenders and he always gets to know the regulars if you sit at the bar top. Food and drinks always come out fairly fast and it's always piping hot so you know it's fresh! They will also put on a specific game if you are looking for one. The ambiance is classy neighborhood bar. There's not tons of decorations all over the place. It's clean, modern, and simple. The food and service mostly speak for the restaurant in this case. They have a parking lot in front of their building so parking is ample. They also have a patio for warmer weather if you'd like to sit outside or even bring your dog! This place is a staple in my rotation and my brother is a regular here so definitely give it a try if you haven't already.

Hate that I have to do this but not all places can be amazing... Happened to come here because we ran into our friends here. Their saga was a whole another adventure before we even got there! Long story short, my friend had called ahead and at the time of our run in, they were already hitting their one hour plus waiting period. We sat at the bar, and there was a beer spill. Poor job cleaning it up aka towels were dumped in front us to clean it up. The waitress ended up splashing more beer on us as she tapped the menu "dry". Uff Finally after an hourish of waiting, we get seated. Our waitress was sweet but after seating us, we didn't see her for a while. One dish came out soggy and had to be sent back. Our waters were never refilled until asked. Overall, sadly not a great experience here. Highly doubt I'll be back here anytime soon.

Went here last summer! Super casual and fun vibes ~ outdoor patio is spacious and dog friendly, and the waiters are super nice! Their food and drinks are also super affordable. Definitely recommend this place for happy hour! Menu items we tried: - Warm Bruschetta // HAPPY HOUR MENU ITEM! A good balance of sweet and savory flavors. Sweet from the balsamic drizzle and savory from the toppings! - Asian Meatballs // HAPPY HOUR MENU ITEM! definitely recommend if found on the menu again, the soy ginger garlic glaze is delicious! - Super Nachos // only an appetizer BUT HUGE OMFG. Definitely worth - Optimal Wit // sweet and roasty! Paired well with our food

Everything was phenomenal to the atmosphere, customer service, menu items, prices, and quality of menu items. We chose this place since we had our little pups with us today driving from out of town and we could not have been more satisfied. Servers were lovely, those dining in around us were decent and looked relaxed. We ordered a burger with tots, the shrimp po boy sandwich with fries, and cookies for dessert! It was great portions! There is also a pup menu which is always nice and the pups enjoyed. Everything was delicious. Even the cookies offered were some of the best I ever had. It was a peanut butter Reese's chocolate cookie. I cannot wait to go back when in the area.

First time here, we went for weekend brunch! The Wicket Door Pub is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere and a welcoming staff. The combination of outstanding food, great energy, and excellent service made my visit truly unforgettable. Let's start with the star of the show--the Cinnamon Roll. Oh, my goodness! This delectable treat was an absolute behemoth, and every bite was pure bliss. It was served warm and gooey, oozing with sweet, cinnamon-infused goodness. Soooo good, def get it! Moving on to the brunch, I ordered the Breakfast Burrito. Packed with a combination of scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes, all wrapped snugly in a flour tortilla, it was a delightful explosion of flavors. The generous amounts of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses added a perfect touch of creaminess. Accompanied by a side of fresh Pico de Gallo, this burrito was just what my hangover needed! LOL My fiancé got the Salmon and Spinach Muffin. This had chilled smoked salmon delicately placed on a toasted bagel(not sure why they said English muffin). Topped with a generous portion of fresh spinach and complemented by a tangy caper red onion cream cheese, each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors. The contrast between the smoky salmon, vibrant spinach, and cream cheese was so yum. Filling and well proportioned! The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure that every detail was taken care of. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, and the outdoor area was SO pet friendly!! We had several furry friends by us w the other guests. I highly recommend this place! If not for anything, go for the behemoth Cinnamon Roll- you won't regret it!! The combination of exceptional tasting food, great energy, and top-notch service made my experience great. I will 10000% be back here!

Was so pleasantly surprised by this place, WOW! I knew this sopping center complex had added a few stores, upgraded a bit, and was thrilled to see it. #1 Tip, get Valarie as your waitress, has been there for 2 years and would not steer you wrong! My wife and I had both had burgers, mine being the caramelized onion burger, and since you can, had tater tots as sides !! I even out a few in my pocket to eat later. Perfectly prepared and served hot. My wife had, what she said was the best margarita since leaving Texas, which is high praise indeed. Save room for dessert, we did and loved it. We split the home-made cinnamon roll which was incredible. Will visit again real soon.

The cinnamon roll was huge and so delicious. Definitely recommend. The shrimp po boy was good and brat burger was good, but too much root beer mustard. Great service and relaxed pub.

Came in for late lunch once again and as with the last time the food and service were excellent. The chicken strip plate is an excellent deal as it comes with 5 GIGANTIC strips of chicken which could easily feed 2 people. This time we also ordered the salmon and spinach muffin (yum) and the pancake covered bacon strips which tasted like funnel cake! Definitely a great place to come if you're anywhere nearby!

Wow!!! Food is refreshing and new for the Brunch scene. The staff was entertaining and fun from the moment we hit the door! Cozy setting on a Saturday mornin is all we wanted, we got that an MORE. BACK soon....no doubt.

I'm so glad this spot was open during COVID and was eager to check out this recommended spot for lunch. They followed excellent social distancing guidelines and took measures to help patrons feel safe. I noticed them cleaning and using masks appropriately. I chose to sit outside on a beautiful day and there was surprisingly more space than I had anticipated. They had a pretty extensive beer list on the menu. While I waited to order I looked around at other's food and noticed that the food was presented very nicely and looked really fresh. I overheard others commenting about how the food was tasty and I started to get super hungry. Service was a bit slow, but I get we're in a pandemic and staffing was possible smaller. I ordered the grilled cheese and it was PHENOMINAL. If you want to eat your feelings, this is the perfect sandwich! It was the perfect amount of cheesy, with the bread slightly sliding on the cheese. Not too much (not that there really could be such a thing) and not too little. The bacon gave a great flavor and a good crunch. I also ordered a side salad and it was really large! The salad was perfectly put together and really tasty. My friend ordered a burger, which they were happy to put an egg on! The burger was fresh ground and you could tell by how juicy and fresh it tasted. The kitchen is open to many modifications, which is perfect if you're picky or want ALL of the things on top! I was really surprised at the freshness of the food and quality of care that went into preparing it. Nothing was tossed together and it came out looking picture perfect. The reviews are true - you've gotta try this place!

Wicket Door Pub is a true gem. We have been here at least 5 times and the waiters know us. The first time we came was when it was just opened and I had the best salmon with a yummy teriyaki sauce. We have eaten here during the pandemic on their spacious patio as well. Waiters are attentive, lighthearted, and always kind. One time I wasn't feeling well and the waitress hurried up our check and boxed our chocolate bliss balls up to go for us. I have had nearly everything on their menu and everything is fantastic. I have had the loaded spud, chicken tenders (such a big portion!), their pancakes for brunch (to go), 3 weeks of specials, chocolate bliss balls, burger, salmon, grilled cheese, and grilled chicken salad. Solid every single time. Pictures are from my last two visits when we got the special dishes of the week. As a Hawaiian, the loco moco was a little lacking for me (but that's because I know Hawaiian food quite well), but it was still good anyway. This place is getting popular, so be sure to call to see if they have a wait. AND to check to see if they have the specials still. We missed out on the huli huli ribs since they sold out. The best part of this restaurant is the pricing. We had the sticky pork app & 2 burgers for $35! Don't wait to go to this restaurant.

I ended up biking and there's a bike stand really close by. My friend was craving fish and chips, so we ventured out this way. Because we came on a Thursday they had a deal going where if you ordered a pie, you could get a beer for free. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. A bit small for the price point but with the beer included totally worth it also because their fries are so good. I could demolish over a pound of those fries. They were thick potato and maybe the extra added bonus of having to use a glass ketchup bottle added to it. My friend and I were also taught how to properly hit the ketchup bottle to get the ketchup out by the bartender. You find the 57 on the bottle at an angle and bump you palm there that instead of hitting the bottom and hoping and praying that ketchup comes out. It actually worked or at least it was more efficient than trying to hit the bottom of the bottle upside down. I had never had a hand pumped beer before, but it was quite good. They are a warm beer rotating and it was quite good, it especially paired well with the pie or fish and chips.

My interpretation of the gist of what everyone was complaining about was that they used to come here all the time (as did I years ago, but it's been a year since being here) and they didn't like the new, slimmed down menu... and they definitely hated the prices here now. Our service was ok, nothing special. I feel like the majority of the servers are very young and might not have the training, nor experience to understand what true service is, not just taking orders and bringing food. The menu was nice. We liked their "Everyday is Sunday" section of the menu, so we tried 2 orders (4 persons) of the pork chop tomahawk and 1 order (2 persons) of the Côte de Boeuf. We started with their Scotch Egg - WOW! Really flavorful with a great texture, inside and out. Definitely a very nice way to start. Cocktails and wine were a hit here for sure! Especially Jarad's G&T, which we got a couple of. Main dishes were great! Plenty of food too!! The spices on the crust of the porkchop tomahawk were so tasty and the temperature was spot-on! The steak in the Côte de Boeuf was incredible! Perfectly seasoned and at that absolute perfect temperature too! The carrots that came with this were very nicely done, but the potatoes stole the show! This dish came with OUTSTANDING Fondant potatoes... They had a great, smokey flavor to them, as if they were basted in pork fat. The meat was perfectly textured and flavored. Overall - While this is no longer the Hunter's Head that many came to know, love, and enjoy, I feel they're doing a decent job here. I'll definitely return, as I want to try their fish & chips!

It projects an English modern cabin vibe, but with a touch on whimsy (see mustache coat hangers on booths!). The fireplace is centrally located and gives off an essence of coziness. Complimenting the ambiance, the service was great! The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast burger and pork belly breakfast sandwich. We also split the avocado toast as a starter (we were starving!). The avocado toast was perfectly prepared - toast was cripsy on the outside and chewy and thick on the inside. Ample smattering of smashed avocado with the fixin's. The burger was very good and my friend said they would totally order it again. The pork belly breakfast sandwich held together perfectly despite the inside being heavy. Pork belly remained perfectly crunchy and it had a heavy helping of melted cheese that was not overpowering. If these are the seating arrangements, then maybe it would be a good idea to have a QR code or menus at the tables to browse while we wait. We ordered our drinks and when I got my water, it was extremely "tappy" tasting, which I don't really expect from a place that has a bar. I ordered a sweet tea instead, which was perfect (not too sweet). We looked over the menu for a while and I decided on the golden barbeque chicken, while hubby got the chicken and waffles. Food took a really long time to come out (no fault of our waiter, he kept checking with the kitchen). We were here longer than an hour and it wasn't *too* busy. FOOD: -Golden Barbeque Chicken - half chicken with a dry rub and then bbq sauce and comes with corn on the cob and fries. This was really, really good. It was just what I wanted - and I couldn't even finish it! The fries were crisp. The chicken had just enough sauce and was juicy, but the breast was a tad dry...but even the corn on the cob had seasoning! Yum. -Chicken & Waffles - I only tried a bite of the waffle, which was soft & crisp at the same time. A perfect waffle. Hubby ate it all! Haven't tried dessert but they all sounded yummy. Maybe next time! Prices were really fair and "cheap" (not in a bad way, but lots of restaurants have raised their prices a lot and this one hasn't). Ambiance lacked since the lights were basically turned off and the paint was worn away where the chairs scraped it. When we were leaving, we noticed our waiter was the ONLY waiter AND he was managing the bar. I think the wait had to do with staff shortage and I felt bad for him. Note: We have been here once before a year ago (when there were Covid restrictions) where I had chicken tenders (I think) and hubby had the cheesesteak. Both were really good. A good local place to visit (and they're open late!!). We will definitely be back.

Fries, crispy, there is a crunch in every bite, topped with parmesan cheese and parsley, it is pretty good for something to snack on. The Guinness on Draft is surprisingly extremely smooth and was very enjoyable; I would get it again! My friends got the poutine and I'd say after sampling it, it's great.
