Not all of their hot dogs are all-beef and so if that's something you're concerned about you definitely need to ask. Personally, I like (not love) their food and when I'm looking to eat badly I don't mind a corn dog or a chili dog or even a regular dog from here! They do taste a little different than other hot dogs and I can't explain it as anything else except that it's a Weinerschniztel dog! I've been here multiple times and they are closed during normal business hours. It is just unprofessional. They also charged me for all beef and I just got regular dogs. As much as I love their food, I have never been fucked over this much by this fucking place! This is the second, no third goddamn time I went here and i've been screwed over! Today, I ordered a chili cheese burger COMBO, and a Bacon Ranch! I told the guy three times today, I didn't want to substitute the fries, and just wanted to keep the sides. I went to the drive through window, I got my stuff thinking that he actually "listened" and went home. Come to find out he STILL substituted the fries that was supposed to come with the combo with the BACON RANCH! WTF! I was pissed realizing I spent 11 dollars on this shit and I lost three dollars for what could've been spent on the side that came with the combo. And this isn't the first time. The last time I told them that I wanted the $5 deal, the one that comes with chili fries, burger and a hot dog (I think that was what I was called). I looked in my bag when my order was ready and realized they forgot the hot dog that was supposed to come with the $5 meal. So I went back to the counter and told them that they forgot my hot dog, and they WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR IT! WTF KIND OF SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE IS THIS!? So I as the consumer of your restaurant is being blamed for a mistake that they made, and they are going to charge me for their mistake! I'm sorry, but as much as I love your food, I am never going back to this shitty restaurant ever again. Do not go to this restaurant (the one in allen), the inside of the building is poorly maintained, customer service is garbage, and the employees look like they don't want to be there. No wonder you have few people going in, because they've been fucked over as much as I did. If you had a chance, I'd say go to any other weinerschnitzel restaurant, stay away from this one, and that's what i'm going to do, because i'm sure there are other buildings that have way better customer service than this garbage elsewhere. Who turned the corner and literally screamed "WIENERCHNITZEL!!!!!"? That would be me! These are few and far between (something hat I'll never understand). My husband and nieces graciously offered to eat dinner here solely based on my enthusiasm, lol. I love me some Wienerschnitzel. Been eating at the chain since the early 80s when I could eat solid foods. My aunt worked at the one in Victoria, 40ish years ago (oy!). This is fast food, y'all, and is obviously not fine dining (unless you're me and don't have super high standards). I always get the two chili cheese dog meal. Comes with fries and a drink. This is always way more food than I actually need, but I always eat it all. I've gotten their corn dogs in the past - good. I've also tried their chili cheese fries - also good. This location is one of the seemingly rare ones that you can actually dine INSIDE at. Some many others have outside dining available only. Which would be fine...if it wasn't so mother loving hot in Texas most of the time. This location was nice, but it had a distinct...bathroom smell. We actually ate there twice over a couple of weeks and the smell was there both times. Not a little gross. Otherwise, it was a nice enough little restaurant. The employees that served us both times were friendly and helpful. Would I go back? Heck yes. Would I recommend them? Heck yes. read more

This lady seriously needs to take it down a notch, she's in customer service... tonight was the last straw when they closed an hour and half early and couldn't bother putting a sign or notice out in the drive thru area. Went by several times: 1st time- Waited in the drive thru too long and left. 2nd time- (months later) I was met with rudeness and left. Third time, I waited it out, as I was first in line. Ordered 2 beef chili dogs. They were good, but this place doesn't flow well. How hard is it to make a hot dog? Bun, bun, dog, dog, add chili, add chili, wrap, wrap, hand to person waiting. I'm thinking 30 seconds? Not 2 minutes! Years ago in college I used to go to one in Bryan, Texas, and it was fast and efficient. It was one of those "A-frame" stores and was much larger. Of course, being a college town, the owner had a much bigger group of intelligent people to get the work force from. I know that sounds bad, but there is truth to it. People struggling to work their way through college need those tips, or a job to pay the bills. Please don't get me wrong. I think there is a market for Wienersnitzel around this metroplex. Made the long drive to this location because it's the only location near me. Love the food but today they got it totally wrong. Ordered from Andrea and she was totally rude. She should not be helping customers. The only thing she said to me was the price. Then she even got the order wrong. Didn't find out until I got home. Very dissatisfied. Called and spoke to Teresa the manager. She called the owner and they wouldn't allow her to refund my order. What kind of crap is that?! Will think twice about supporting this restaurant. Out of all the Wienerschnitzel locations I have been to, this one by far is the absolute Best! I was skeptical before eating here because I was curious as to how the food would taste. It was delicious and hot, unlike some other locations I have been too. Definitley worth the drive. read more

I have been eating at Wienerschnitzel for years, but today, when I ordered my meal and asked for a water (not bottled water, just plain water out of the fountain), I was charged $0.25 for it. I asked why they are charging for something that everyone else gives away for free, and was told that the $0.25 was for the cup. Once again, a restaurant is charging customers for something that everyone else gives away for free. When this happens at a place I frequent, I tell them I am never coming back, I tell all of my friends to not go there anymore, and I write a review to warn others not to go there. If everybody did this, maybe restaurants would stop trying to nickle and dime their customers to death. read more

One of the most sad parts about leaving California was my wienerschnitzel that was right down the street. I loved their chili cheese fries and cherry lemonade and after moving to Texas I never thought I'd see it again (till I moved back). When searching on yelp I came across there was a location near by and instantly drove over. Tasted just like home. :) Pros: fun place to have a chili cheese corn dog and try new things with affordable price. I didn't come here for a hot dog. Most people do, but, I have never been normal. I visited this establishment for the sole purpose of a big Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Cone. The chocolate layer was the perfect thickness and perfectly bittersweet. The inside was a mound of sweet ice creamy goodness. When I was a college student in San Jose CA in the early 1970s, Der Wienerschnitzel was one of my major food groups. The Polish Sandwich was a real treat. When I moved to the Dallas area in 1992, I still visited the Wienerschnitzel on Coit in Plano and the Allen TX store. The Coit store is gone and I miss it. I visit the Allen store several times a year. Good news! The Polish Sandwich is still as good as it was in 1972! The staff of the Allen store are friendly and efficient. Makes me feel good to have lunch there. My wife likes the chili dogs. The only change I'd like is to have them open a store in McKinney TX so I wouldn't have to drive 30 mies for this treat. I drove from Dallas because of ease of travel right up US75 and so glad I discovered this gem ! This location is worthy of a periodic 40mi round trip lunch for me.Guests feel welcomed and at ease. Had a coupon for a free medium drink with the purchase of the new fish items they have. I got the fish and chips. They made it to order and it was not bad for under 3 bucks. The fish was crispy and tender on the inside. The fries were fresh and very tasty. I did notice that my Dr. Pepper tasted like it was diet. I went back and got it replaced but it tasted the same. I told them someone must have put the wrong bag of syrup on that line. Traded for a tea and was on my way. I come here for my family, not for me. I like an all beef hotdog at the ballpark or at home, but there is just something about a fast food restaurant that is all about hot dogs that weirds me out. So I am reviewing to help others who might feel the same way but want to eat here. Im here to tell you that my family (hubby, son, and parents-in-law) eat here (drive thru only) fairly frequently, and have never had any complaints. Went to this location today (6/28/18) for a late lunch. Ordered off the menu - nothing special - and the clerk read it back wrong. I corrected him, he read it back right. When I go the bag, it was incorrect. The hot dogs were okay, not great, but they seemed a bit smaller than I recall. However, the hamburger was just horrible. It was almost burned, way over-cooked and cold as could be. I took one bite and it was all I could take. I spit it out and tossed the rest of the burger. I have been to this location many times, it seems the people there just don't care. I drove out of my to eat here, but I won't be making that mistake again. I'm a Southern California native who grew up eating this stuff so I was excited to try the food, yet cautious that I'd be disappointed because they're so far from home (read del taco and their transplant failure). Went through the drive through on a late afternoon. Ordered a #3 chili cheese dog, fries and a drink. I was delighted to find that all the food was hot and fresh and it tasted just as good as I remember it. I wish I had a tad more chili because it was delicious. The food isn't bad at all. However, this particular location does not have very good customer service at the drive thru window. There is one particular gentlemen who works in the afternoons who always have this look on his face like you are the last person he wants to see much less serve. Terrible experience here. Was craving a hot dog so I drove a bit further than I normally would for fast food. I get in and there are two people in the kitchen. One is mixing shakes for a group of people and the other is standing there doing nothing. Neither acknowledged my presence, took my order or even spoke to me.
