Haven't been here in awhile. There cokes taste really bad. There phone is disconnected so you can't call them to let them know and my daughter French fries had a black hair in them. My husband and I usually visit this place once every week and we're used to the same employees. But today's visit did not go so well. The lady who took our order was very rude. When we were trying to pay she was standing there in the window I was getting the change 0.75 cents and she closed the window just as i was about to hand it to her. Then she just disappeared then came back. Took the change gave our change back didn't ask if we needed any sauce like how everyone else does. She basically just threw the bag at us and closed the window is how it felt. Tonight 11/1/25 the drinks we got were not good. We got a couple of iced tea's which were old and cloudy and did not taste good. The cucumber lemonade was not good either. Most times the tea here is good but sometimes it's not and it stinks that I pay almost $4 for a large drink and then it's not even good enough to drink. read more

Not many vegan options in town, so I take what I can get. There's a couple different plant based styled dogs. However, I found that none of them are good because they just slop on sauce and a sour pickle. So, I order a plain plant based dog with ketchup and mustard. PS. Service is quick and good. read more

Pull up to the drive thru at 1045pm, they advertise they're open til 12pm. 2 employees inside won't answer drive thru act like they are closed yet have all the open signs on, drive thru monitor on etc. I finally pulled to the front knocked on the door and they just ignored me like I was invisible. It's been about 40 years since I've been in a Wienerschnitzel restaurant. I have lived in the Phelan area for about 12 years so I thought what the hell I'd give it a try. I went in and ordered a BBQ bacon cheeseburger, no tomatoes, with extra onions. I was told that they would be no tomatoes and I would get extra onions. I got a great big huge thick slice of tomato and no onions. I understand this is a fast food restaurant but I do want it my way and I'm not happy when I don't get it my way, so I'm not happy. I'd also like to add that this is the first time that I've had a barbecue bacon cheeseburger that was spicy. Always found barbecue sauce to be sweet not spicy. I will also mention that the bacon was like leather. Now I remember why it's been 40 years. read more

I just visited this Wienerschnitzel and had to walk out before ordering. The two female employees were outside washing the windows with a rag and a bottle of Windex, when I pulled in they went inside and went right into the kitchen to prepare food without washing their hands. When I asked her why they did not wash their hands she said we were just outside looking around, I said really? I saw you with the Windex and a rag in your hand actually wiping the windows off. She had no answer for me. Do not eat any food prepared in this disgusting kitchen. I actually love this location. Can't understand why the star count is low. I travel up the hill a couple times a month to visit my sister and have to say this location is a credit to the Wienerschnitzel name. Whenever I am about the town and need a quick bite I can always rely on the fast and consistent food provided but the smiling and helpful employees within. This place really sucks. The service is provided by high desert tweakers. The chili dogs had very little chili and the hot dogs themselves were hard like they were over microwaved or old as #&@!. There fryer was down and only had hot dogs, drinks , and ice cream available and they even messed that up. I don't recommend this place. The servers are nice but.....it takes forever to get your order! I ordered the special 5 corn dogs for $5.55 today and waited almost 11 minutes!! The food came out hot, and fresh. Family of nine can eat here economically including delicious dessert. Staff is very friendly and caring about the order being made correctly for nine picky people. Not the fastest place in town but not the slowest either, and again that was food for 9. read more

Slow service, rude and ignorant staff, and unpleasant management make for a big 'no' when cruising for lunch in the Phelan area. Food is decent most of the time with an off day here or there. We go here a lot. Line is slow but if my corn dogs,are fresh I don't mind. My issue is that they are often out of something advertised or machine is down. Once I couldn't get root beer float, no Ice cream. Today they had ad up for cream sida, nope, they don't have any. I'll still come eat here but they need to make sure everything is working and available or the manager or owner is failing their job. I ran 8 locations and 4 different chains for my boss and owner.
