We ordered 3 different sandwiches: - pesto melt with turkey - denwich - turkey bacon avocado Food was good. We went at lunch primetime so the wait was a bit long, but the vibes were great! We're local and there was a good mix of local and the beach goers. Staff was kind and helpful. There's a little bar area in the back I'd highly recommend. Will definitely be back for one of the local night events!

Completely forgot to take a picture before I ate but this is my go to spot when im in laguna beach. They get very packed so it can take a while but definitely worth the time. Workers are always friendly. They have a few seats inside and outside as well as a bar outside which is super cool. I love this place!

I personally love an establishment where employees feel relaxed. I love when they talk with each other and have fun at their job. Everyone was friendly and inviting. They were kind to every person who came through the door. Yummy and generous sandwiches! Every bite was flavorful. The ingredients were fresh. Definitely want to return!

I thought the ambiance was great upon walking in. It's small but long, having the back patio available to the customers if you need additional seating. My boyfriend and I bought the Italian sandwich and it was good. I did think the bread was too hard and also paid extra for cheese and never got any cheese in the sandwich. We only noticed it after we got to the beach which was a bummer.

This place is so damn good. First off, such an awesome vibe. The guy at the counter super friendly and helpful and there was also a very nice local that gave my girlfriend and I a run down on the whole menu. It felt so welcoming. Now onto the food, these sandwiches were so good. It was such a fresh taste, and we enjoyed them in the cozy seating out back that seemed to be some type of beer garden later on in the evening. I wish I lived in Laguna and could grab these tasty sandwiches everyday. So if you find yourself in Laguna beach, enjoy a nice lunch at this spot!

This spot seriously hit the spot. I ordered the Laguna Caprese and added both capicola and bacon, and it completely elevated the sandwich. The capicola added that perfect salty, slightly spicy depth while the bacon brought a smoky crunch that paired so well with the fresh mozzarella avocado, and tomatoes. Everything tasted super fresh and high quality, and the balance of flavors was honestly perfect--not too heavy but still really satisfying. The bread was soft with a slight crisp on the outside, holding everything together without getting soggy. You can tell they really care about their ingredients and how everything is put together. It felt like a simple sandwich turned into something way more elevated with just those add-ons. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I've had in Laguna Beach and I'll 100% be coming back for the same order.

Great sandwich selection! We shared two hot sandwiches the pesto and laguna caprese. Both were delicious and on different breads. The spicy mayo in the laguna caprese is pretty spicy! They don't include any sides but they have a selection of chips to choose from to add on. They have a nice patio you can sit at in the back where their dalmation Tina hangs out at the bar. There is also alot of seating out front and a few seats inside..

They have a small parking lot in the rear otherwise park on the street since it is on the main street of coast hwy. Came after the beach activities and was pleased! Its been awhile since I had a simple sandwich and they have some great selections! They have seating towards the back which is like a shaded outdoor area with a bar and TV's Very cute and homey its like you walked into someones well kept backyard Ordered; 2 bags of chips and 1 can soda the spicy tuna melt/nicks way (you can order this in different ways: regular tuna melt, either traditional or nicks way) And a bacon avocado turkey sandwich which were both flavorful and filling all their sandwiches from what i learned are about 8in long I highly recommend

Maybe I was affected by driving all day from Phoenix, but the sandwich I had here totally hit the spot for a quick dinner. There was no waiting in line and service was fast with a helpful cashier who also made some of the sandwiches. While they were out of my favorite Dutch crunch bread (must arrive earlier in the day instead of an hour before closing next time!), the French roll used to hold all the fillings was as perfect as could be without being Dutch crunch. All the fillings on my Gabagool Grinder were fresh. I'd maybe have liked more pepperoncinis on it, but that's more of a "me problem." It wasn't cheap at $16 for the sando, but it was big enough to share and even Subway footlongs are 10-15 bucks these days. There is a bar in the back with more seats than the handful of tables in front, so we sat there to avoid traffic and have some shade. I'd definitely return.

I was really excited to try Wigz, especially their sandwiches, but unfortunately our experience started off a bit rough. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for just two sandwiches, only to find out our order had been given to someone else. That said, once we let the staff know, they handled it quickly and remade our order right away, which I definitely appreciated. Aside from the mix-up, everything else was great and the food was worth the wait. Thanks, Wigz -- I'd give it another try!

We were in town for a concert and decided to drive up to Laguna beach. I found this place on Yelp and chose it cuz of its proximity and reviews. I immediately made my way to the register to order and was 2nd in line. When it was my turn to order the girl at the register answered the phone to take an order before taking mine. It wouldn't have been a big deal but she seemed to take forever with this customer meanwhile the line started to form and snake outside to the front sidewalk. Imo she should've let someone else take incoming phone orders. Other than that everything was great. Our food came out fairly quick considering the crowd of people that had formed. I ordered the "Wigz grinder" with the turkey and salami my partner had the hot pastrami sandwich. We both enjoyed our sandwiches although mine was a little bit dry. We didn't know that they had a nice little back patio that we could've enjoyed eating at since we had sat down on the front patio near the highway. Well there's always next time.

We'd just rolled into Laguna and wanted a light dinner. Wigz was a terrific sandwich place right by our hotel. They have a lot of great menu items and I was also able to customize my own simple turkey sandwich. We were super bummed they were out of Dutch Crunch bread (understandable one hour before closing) so we got our sandwiches on a French roll. We were pleasantly surprised to find that those rolls were amazing too. Like, first bite "Oh my god, these are great" good. We'd thought about taking the sandwiches back to our hotel room, then we noticed a cute shaded patio in the back so we ate there instead. Really nice people here and sandwiches you would definitely come back for.

Came here for lunch and never again! It took so long to get our food for just two sandwiches. We thought ordering, waiting for our food, and eating would take about 45 minutes and we had to feed the meter more money. We assumed a sandwich place wouldn't take so much time... The sandwiches were even worth it. Maybe I don't like squaw bread (I haven't had it before), but it seemed like a weak bread. The sandwich itself was packed with ingredients, which is great, but the bread just completely falls apart with all that plus the liquid from the veggies. To make it more manageable I ended up taking out about half the meat from the sandwich. It also had way too much mayo. You can see the layer in my photo. My partner got the spicy tuna and it wasn't much better...the sandwich was also a messy. There was too much liquid (kind of seemed like the tuna wasn't drained enough in addition to the liquids from the veggies) that it also fell apart. There's 2 outdoors seating areas (one in front and one in the back) in addition to the couple of seats inside.

Have been here 5 x now the turkey Sando is great, the roast beef is awesome especially if you add horseradish, the corned beef was flavorful and really tasty. The veggie sando was excellent as well. There's a back patio with games to play and hangout. Service is excellent at this family run business, is just what laguna needs, keep up the good work! Plenty of beers and booch on tap and a well stocked fridge full of any drink you could want! Support locals and you won't be disappointed. Fair prices and friendly staff! read more

From the moment you walk in you can tell this is not some corporate BS sandwich shop. The vibe is super chill which is what you'd expect being in Laguna Beach. The sandwiches are AMAZING!!! I tried the classic roast beef and was not disappointed. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and can we talk about the bread?? The Dutch crunch is perfection! Aside from the food and atmosphere, the crew they have working there is super friendly-Jen is a rockstar!! If you're looking for a great sandwich, go to Wigz, you won't regret it! read more

Delicious! Only one problem, should I stick to the sandwich I love or try something different? We are local and if I didn't know where it was, I might have a difficult time finding it. (Next to Spigot Liquor) It's definitely worth looking for it. I love the Dutch Crunch bread! read more

We live within walking distance of Wigz. Decided to give them a try. Ordered 4 sandwiches online for takeout. They were ready when promised. The sandwiches were very good, especially the Sir Melvin. Excellent squaw bread. Will use them again. read more

Saw the great yelp reviews and they were spot on. Wanted simple. Got the Laguna Italian and was one of the better Italian I've had in a bit. Got a happy hour $5 draft and sat out front looking at ocean. Sub came quick. Enjoying the view, so had another draft as sun set. Sub was packed with meat. Basically was the picture, which is rare these days. Lots on the menu to try. Louisia was very helpful on all. Great staff, great food, good prices and great view. All you can ask. read more

Good not great, the Dutch crunch bread was tough and my jaw was sore towards the end of the sandwich. Tailoring the Italian sandwich was difficult and it had a ton of oregano on it. I ordered it for dine in but it was served togo. It has a ton of oil, vinegar and Italian dressing (not necessarily a bad thing) I just would not recommend taking this particular sandwich to the beach. I went to the counter after getting my sandwich twice and the 3 employees didn't notice. I recommend a bell for service. Prices per usual of the past few months have gone up. read more

The Turkey bacon avo sandwich was just good, not spectacular. The crunch bread tasted stale. Next time I'll try squaw to see if it's better. Place has a fun vibe in the back and nice ocean view from the street seating. Worth a second shot. read more

Great new sandwich shop in Laguna Beach. Wigz sandwiches are signature great. It also has put together a great team that makes you feel you are welcome. I go there with my two dogs, sit in the beautiful back patio, and did I say I love the sandwiches. I'd highly recommend that you stop and enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner. See you there! read more

So exciting to see this space morph into Laguna's best sandwich shop! What an amazing place to eat in- the back patio is super nice with a relaxing ambiance, or sit street side and take in ocean views and the people watching on PCH. The food is fresh and amazing! I tried this place for the first time and I had a bad experience. I finished placing my order at 12:34pm and it was past 1pm and I still hadn't received my order I ordered 3 sandwiches so I thought maybe that's why it was taking a a while. But I saw customers who ordered after me had already received their orders decode me. I visibly saw workers walk to personally hand other customers their order. Not orders that were to eat in, but for orders that were for take out in a brown bag. I saw that happen twice and the workers who were handing customers their order walked by me twice. It had been 40 minutes and I still haven't received my order, turns out it was sitting at the front the whole time and the lady was being super rude claiming that they called our name a couple of times so they left it there. First of all, I was with another person and we were sitting right by the register and we did not hear you call a single time. Second of all, why was everyone else being handed their order even when they did take out like we did??? Super ridiculous that we waited 40+ minutes for our food. We went to ask nicely, not being rude at all just asking when you think they'll be done and the worker was super rude. She wasn't being apologetic at all. I've worked in customer service specifically the food industry and that is in no way the attitude that is expected from workers. Ridiculous that I spent $40 at this place. The only reason I am giving it a 2 stars is because the man who took our order wearing a blue hat and a knotts berry farm shirt was kind to us. Other than that, I do NOT recommend this place. Please avoid at all costs unless you want to encounter that lady. read more

The sandwiches are excellent. Quality of bread, meat and produce can't be surpassed. You can sit out back in a cool quiet vibe or on the front patio watching people.....along with the an ocean view. Great beers available and good wines by the glass. read more

Great place for lunch! I've been twice now and the sandwiches are made fresh and quickly with quality ingredients . The garlic mayo on the roast beef is sooo good! My daughter is obsessed with the veggie on squaw and said it's better than what she used to get at The Stand (RIP). We will be frequent customers!!! read more

Probably the most relaxed and welcoming spot to have a drink in town.. oh yea, and the sandwiches are BOMB! The service is fantastic and you can't go wrong sitting out front or in back to escape the sun. I think I've tried everything on the menu at this point and they haven't missed once. If you're in town visiting and you haven't scoped this place out.. you're missing out! read more

Amazing sandwiches! I got the Melvin - modified it to be panini pressed (because I love hot sandwiches) + on sourdough instead of squaw bread. It was soooo good! And the ocean is a quick walk to take in the view :) staff was very friendly too! Highly recommend :) read more

Please hear me out. Things couldn't have been more wrong. We ordered two sandwiches and both were made incorrectly. We ordered two sandwiches and were charged for three. So why 4 stars? The food is good. The prices are reasonable. This is a new restaurant and and they made an honest mistake and they are learning. The employees we so very sorry and nice. And an ocean view patio. Wigz makes the best sandwiches! We love them! Once we had the first one we have been back many times. We've tried a lot of them but still have more to try. All are delicious! It's friendly and fun in there and is an authentic old school Laguna place. read more

Except I couldn't open the stupid thing for a couple of minutes. Sure enough, a twenty got into the zipper. I was dripping sweat since I had just ascended the steep Thousand Steps Beach stairway and temperatures were rising on a muggy morning. The nice lady gave me a couple of papertowls to pat myself dry with, and did I ever need it. My legs were still burning from the ascent! What I needed wasn't booze, although I approved of the selection and reasonable prices, no, I needed sunblock. Sure enough, they carried it, plus I could have scored a Frisbee or another beach towel if necessary. I also saw a small but good cigar selection, which was funny because all morning I could smell cigar smoke and essence, even while on the beach. Anyhow, next time I need alcohol or a cigar or anything else I'll bypass the nearby 7-Eleven and come straight here!

The steak was perfectly medium rare and tender to eat. Shrimp was cooked beautifully and firm. The corn was cold but it was still good! Came with a side of onions and jalapenos. The flour tortillas were taco sized. Great shareable plate for 2-3 people. Had the virgin margarita and it was one of the best virgin drinks I've had. Not just a bunch of sugar and soda water like other mocktails. It had freshly made syrups and with chunks of cucumbers. So refreshing!

Lines can be very long during weekends and peak times, but if you go down time, which I did, there's little wait. There's plenty of flavors to choose from as you can see from the picture, and apparently they let you sample some if you ask. I went with their regular cone size which costs about $6-7, and you can select up to three flavors. I chose the Pistachio, Chocolate chip (stracciatella), and Milk Chocolate Hazelnut. Overall, all three flavors were very delicious, with the stracciatella being my favorite. The regular cone and the 3 scoop portions are very generous and could probably be shared amongst 2 people. Afterwards, you may feel heavy from all the gelato, but its worth it. I can see why this place is very popular!

My favorite place to eat a casual meal in Laguna Beach. I have had most of the items on the menu and love them all. The bread is amazing - Dutch crunch or the squaw are my favorites. All of the meats are top quality. The outdoor dinning is always relaxing and they usually have great tunes playing. Cool vibe. And the best part is the service. Once you order they give you your drink right away and then bring the food to your table. The people there always have a smile. read more

The sandwiches here were a significant disappointment, falling short on both flavor and value. They were remarkably bland and boring, with a distinct lack of zest or any memorable taste. To add insult to injury, the prices were quite high, making the overall experience feel overpriced. Still a great spot for a Sandwich and a Beer. There is a decent little ocean view, great back patio, and a good vibe in the shop. The staff are always friendly and do a great job at helping with assisting in sandwich selection. There's no better feeling than eating awesome food at a local spot.
