The appointment was scheduled from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. After walking to the check-in area and waiting for the customer ahead of me to complete his business, a woman wearing a grooming apron came out from the back. She had apparently seen me enter through the glass windows. She did not introduce herself or review Piper's appointment, she immediately began feeling my dog's coat and stated that she might not be able to groom her because she was matted. I acknowledged that Piper had some matting and began feeling her coat myself. The woman then stated that Piper was "over 75% matted" and that PetCo could not groom dogs that were that matted. I disagreed and replied that Piper was nowhere near 75% matted and certainly not even 50% matted. I then asked if she was my groomer, and she said she was not. Despite not being the groomer assigned to Piper, she again stated that PetCo would not be able to groom my dog. At that point, I told her I felt PetCo was being ridiculous and that I would simply take Piper back to her regular groomer, whom she has seen for the past three years, even though that groomer is located about 30 minutes away. The reason I scheduled with PetCo was convenience, as it is much closer to my home. What bothered me most was that someone who was not my dog's groomer appeared to make an immediate judgment about whether the appointment could proceed. I also found the interaction unusual because, when I originally scheduled the appointment, I was asked about Piper's breed and weight. After I explained that she is a mini Goldendoodle weighing approximately 45 pounds, the employee remarked, "That's not a mini." I replied that she is, in fact, a mini Goldendoodle. She seemed concerned about Piper's size at that time as well. The appointment was booked as "Piper's FS Long Hair Med Bath & Haircut Premium." Piper is three years old and has been groomed regularly throughout her life by the same groomer. In those three years, we have never been told that she was too matted to groom, nor has an appointment ever been refused because of the condition of her coat. While I understand that some matting may require additional work, special handling, or additional fees, this was the first time I had ever been told that my dog could not be groomed at all. In my view, if a dog's coat requires additional work because of matting, that should be discussed as part of the grooming appointment. If PetCo has grooming policies regarding matting, coat condition, breed, size, or any other factor that could prevent an appointment from being completed, those questions should be asked during the scheduling process. Groomers are the professionals and know what information they need to determine whether they can accommodate a dog. I was asked Piper's breed and weight when I made the appointment, and PetCo had every opportunity to ask additional questions at that time. I cannot say whether size, coat type, staffing limitations, or company policy played a role in this experience. I can only say that I left feeling disappointed. Piper has been successfully groomed by the same professional groomer for the past three years without issue, which is why I was surprised by how quickly this appointment was dismissed. For what it's worth, I routinely pay approximately $90 for a full-service grooming appointment and tip my groomer an additional $30 at every visit. Have a larger hairy dog? PetCo might not be the place for you.

I never left with unanswered questions. The staff has always been great, friendly and helpful. In November of 2024 I needed a new liner for my pond. Pond Country sent someone to access my pond and give me an estimate on the rebuild. I was tired of repairing my mistakes so I wanting a fully reconstructed pond. I cannot express how satisfied I am with the reconfiguration, the design and the size of the pond they built for me. It isn't just a pond, there are multiple waterfalls, streams and fountain features incorporated into the streams. I tell people I do not have to go on vacation, it is in my backyard in the safety of my own property. It is absolutely gorgeous, every aspect of the design and the final result of my pond is astounding. If you want it done right, hire a company that has been doing this for almost 30 years. Their dedication and precision to detail goes above and beyond what I expected, but I certainly appreciate all the hard work that went into my backyard oasis.

Again they built a beautiful pond but do not count on them to service your pond after it is installed. I spent 75,000 dollars with them and feel like I was lied to. They specifically sold me on their maintenance packages. My pond is now full of algae and I am having a hard time finding someone to service it.

The "Pet Sitter," (who was supposedly a licensed Veterinary Technician), who came to my house to take care of my 2 large dogs failed in numerous ways: --My dog's prescribed oral medication wasn't given, as evidenced by the full bottle that was there when I returned. --My dog didn't receive the sulphur baths that were prescribed for her skin condition, as evidenced by the foil seal that was still on the bottle when I returned. --The "Pet Sitter" lost my house key & contacted my Mother to borrow hers. Yet, when I got home, the door handle's keyhole had been jabbed through with some kind of tool--the keyhole was completed destroyed & I had to buy a new doorknob. --I arrived home at about 8pm & at 2am, the "Pet Sitter" & her boyfriend walked into my house DRUNK, to supposedly take care of my dogs! Her behavior was horribly unprofessional in every aspect! When I contacted the Owner of Ark Angel the next morning, she was unapologetic and made no attempt to smooth things over with me or compensate me for the broken doorknob. Additionally, she showed no concern that my dog's skin condition had worsened because of her Employee's s neglect! I was really shocked that the Owner of this pet sitting company didn't find her Employee's terrible behavior & neglect unacceptable! Walking into a Customer's house with her boyfriend, when they were obviously impaired & reeked of alcohol?!? Breaking a Customer's doorknob, despite having my Mother's copy of the key?!? Neglecting to give my dog her oral medication & prescribed baths?!? I paid a lot of money for them to "safely" care for my dogs so that I could have a worry-free vacation, but they failed us miserably!!

I barely take Teddy to the grooming place just because he gets super nervous whenever random people touch him and you know, I just don't want him to go thru all that crazy dramatic experience. But today, I thought that it's about that time to get his haircut done at the grooming place(I usually shave him at my house lol) and I decided to take him to Petsmart in Garner. I looked up their price and menu online first and then called them to make an appointment. I did not expect to take Teddy there today since its Sunday and I thought that they would be super busy, but well well well, they had some available spots and lady who was on the phone helped me book Teddy's haircut appointment. Few hours later, I got there with Teddy's vaccine paper and Kelsey took Teddy inside. She said she would call me once everything is done. I got a call like 3 hrs later and then when I got there to pick Teddy up, Teddy came out with this amazingly cute haircut and it just melted my heart:) This was his second time getting his haircut at Petsmart and I LOVED his new haircut; Kelsey did such a great job shaving Teddy's body(everything looks so even), tail, legs, and trimming face area. I was so happy with Teddy's new haircut and price was pretty reasonable too. Teddy got too excited when I got there, so he peed several times in Petsmart... I felt so bad but I def would come back for his haircut again!

She was very rude as soon as I walked in, ignored all the warnings about my dog that was shared, Kept telling me to leave the area while checking in my dog? which was very rude and unwelcoming. The way she was handling my dog and was already annoyed with her within 5 minutes was concerning to me. At the end of the appointment, Sue decided to go on a whole nasty rant and tell me that I am to blame for my dog anxious behavior on her FIRST appointment. Sue told me to never bring my dog here again myself?? To let someone else do it because apparently I am the reason my dog is annoying her. After 30 minutes with my dog, she feels so confident to self diagnose me and my dog. Then proceeds to keep being nasty and rude to the point where others told her to stop!! I got a package, the appointment said it would be 1-2 hour. It ended in less than 30 mins. I checked my dog in the car. Paws not trimmed, Didn't bother to dull her nails either. The package contained a lot of services but I am positive only about 2 of those services got done. I am very upset about this. Do not bring your dog to this location, They don't complete the job, the place is unsanitary and overall not welcoming. Sue is always at the door on the computer when you first walk in. STAY AWAY FROM SUE S, SHE HATES HER JOB!! IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR DOG, DON'T LET HER NEAR THEM.

We have used this pet sitting service 3x in the last 3 months and couldn't be happier…read more We struggled trying to find someone on short notice (the BF isn't a planner), but we were thankful to find this company. The initial interview with Nadia was informative ( our cats did not behave, but that didn't deter the service). She explained all of the services that would be provided and provided us with the magnet card for the fridge. This was to be used for scanning in and out of the house. You need to log into your account to see the time stamp in and out and the standard information of the pet care. The website is easy to navigate! Our sitter, Hannah, is awesome and she sends daily updates along with the picture of our allusive babies (they are hiders, but this last visit they finally came out to say HI!). I think Hannah was super stoked to get the rare sighting of our Tuxedo Man, as he's not fond of strangers. You could tell by email she was elated! She has crawled under beds to try to capture these two and we thank her for that! She lays out their toys so she knows if they are coming out while she's away and that's comforting to know. She also hides treats around the house to make sure they are coming out as well. On our first trip away, it was just a long weekend, but it's hard to leave your fur babies, we arrived to a clean litter box, food and water full, and the floor free from litter (cat owners know this is no easy feat). When we were gone on another vacation, the snow--apocalypse happened in Raleigh. Four Paws contacted us immediately regarding the weather. They kept us up to date about the status of the roads. Since we just have cats, we didn't want anyone to risk too much by driving, since these babies don't have to be let out and other animals may have needed that attention more., so we told them that if it was too dangerous to not risk it and just try again the next day. They continued to update us and did make it to the house safe and sound. We even told her to not stay the full time just to make sure she was safe. Hannah's emails are funny and written just as how I picture she talks. We enjoy these little tid bits as we are enjoying vacations away from the babies. I really like the services that we have received and they will be booked soon for another vacation we have planned next month!

Unreliable & Disorganized…read more We're new to the area and I needed to find a new pet sitter to cover a planned weekend trip next month. I originally reached out to Four Paws based on good reviews I saw here, but unfortunately had a very frustrating experience instead. Firstly, before being willing to discuss anything they demanded that I make an account on their website and then fill out an extremely lengthy profile. Then, a day or so later, they emailed to ask for specifics for our trip and said they'd be arranging a visit with our sitter, which I answered that same day. Then, after a lull in communication, I got another email asking for the same information I'd provided previously. I provided it again and, again, nothing happened. Finally, having wasted over a week with their cumbersome process and these communication difficulties, I emailed again to ask what was going on... only to get an email back saying their only pet sitter in this area was on maternity leave for the next month and that they couldn't help me - something that they should have know days and days earlier. Now I will have to scramble to find some other arrangements, causing a lot of needless stress and anxiety and possibly putting our plans in jeopardy. They did offer some suggestions of other pet sitters in the area to use, but to those reading this - save yourself a lot of hassle and headache and just pick someone else. UPDATE: The business has responded below by posting private emails including my email address out of context, but only the last set of emails, ignoring the fact that they seem to have lost the first set, and then accused me of lying. I deeply regret giving them any personal information in the first place and would strongly encourage others not to do so.
