So I'm a big breakfast guy. Love me some eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy you know the whole shebang. I've been to Sleepy Rooster once before and I couldn't remember exactly why I haven't been back in so long until today. I decided to re-visit and I was reminded of just how meh the menu felt to me the first time around then again I'm not really into eggs Benedict and not that much of a omelette person either. I enjoy a more traditional breakfast if you'd call it that so I ordered their biscuits & gravy which is what I believe I had the last time I was here. The food looked fine until I ate it. The biscuits were very bland and lacked any real flavor. The hash browns were overcooked and too crispy, the coffee wasn't too terribly hot either. I just simply wasn't impressed with this meal that they somehow feel they can charge $13.99 for what doesn't seem like very much food. My server was very prompt to make sure I was taken care of so I didn't have any real issues there so I can say that service was good. The look/vibe of this place is rather chill and does offer lots of outdoor seating which is nice. Other than that, I can't see this as a place I'm going to go out of my way for and especially when it comes to breakfast which is what this place claims to do best. I can't say for certain if my mind would be changed if I had tried something else but I don't think I'll find myself coming back here to find out.

Nice spot for brunch with fast service and plenty of breakfast and lunch dishes. Chicken and waffles were served with a side dish of spicy sauce, which I found odd, but they also brought a bottle of warm honey-like sauce that went perfectly with the light, airy waffle and crispy fried chicken. My mom enjoyed the berries and cream French toast, a great choice for the sweet tooth in the group. BLT was packed with crispy bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. Generous portions.

Three beautiful pieces of French toast servers with three slices of bacon, that was my breakfast. My spouse had the Hangry platter which consisted of about everything in the kitchen! The food is always delicious with nice presentation. Never a complaint. Omar was our server, he greeted us promptly and took our drink orders, upon returning he took our food orders. He was very polite and was at his best, refilling drinks and prebussing the table. Our food orders came to the table exactly the way we ordered them. Great service! Ambiance was very pleasant, not loud makes for a great experience. The restrooms were clean as was the restaurant. If you want a great breakfast Sleep Rooster delivers, I might add I eat there a lot, give them a visit, promise you'll be back .

Was visiting my bother & decided to take my nieces to brunch- Service was good, food came out quick! Was a Thursday morning so it wasn't too busy. Was not impressed by their green juice - tasted store bought but my nieces loved the red velvet pancake!

Nicely appointed spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Smallish patio that's got some coverage from the sun. We sat inside for quickest service. I got the Baja hash brown bowl and hubby got the biscuits and gravy. We both liked our food. Plenty of chicken in mine, egg cooked over easy as requested.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. We had the chicken and waffles and the carne asada and eggs. Both were very good. My wife preferred the maple syrup instead of the chili infused honey on the waffles. The guacamole and pica da gallo were very good and apparently made fresh daily. The coffee was strong and good. I had crispy hash browns instead of beans. Our server Allyssa was great and very attentive.

Sleepy Morning Rooster is the perfect spot for breakfast or brunch. It won't break the bank, and the food is excellent. The Kentuckiana is a standout Benedict with a spicy, flavorful gravy that really sets it apart. You will not be disappointed--definitely a place worth adding to your breakfast rotation.

Stopped in at Sleepy Rooster, hadn't been in a while. Service was great, seated promptly. Waitress was quick to stop at table. She had brought us water; to late in the day for coffee but not breakfast. She took our orders and before long we had our food. The restaurant is always bright with lively staff. I ordered the AM burrito, first time and my wife ordered the Loaded Nachos. I loved the AM burrito. I tasted the loaded nachos, not quite my cup of tea, but my wife enjoyed them. Loved that you can exchange hash browns for black beans, love both but today was a hash brown day. Always a nice place to have a delicious meal.

The place was nice. It was easy to find parking. The vibe is a less busy first watch. The pace in the restaurant is a relaxed one. The items on the menu vary from lite bites to more filling ones. The portion sizes were great and so was the pricing. The food was flavorful and most of all I didn't feel rushed to pick an entree or feel rushed to eat.

We had very fast service. Everything was very hot and crispy. Fresh ingredients. I got the hot brown with fries. The fries are very tasty. Well battered the toast was a high quality the turkeys average. The bacon was really good and thick cut the cheese sauce. I would've liked a little sharper, a little more flavorful, but you know good for kind of a mild cheese. Her hashbrowns were nice and crispy. She got the morning glory and really enjoyed the avocados. All those flavors of the egg the sauce, the hollandaise the biscuits all blended very well she said. Can't wait to come back

I forgot to take photos of the food however I can tell you my experience and still describe the food. I got Cinnamon roll pancakes and they were underwhelming. The pancakes were not hot and the taste was bland. I had three side of over-medium eggs and those were fine. I ordered the pig candy bacon but I never received it and they added it to my receipt. The service could've been better and I think forgetting part of the order was crucial. The orange defense drink tasted like "naked" brand juice, I couldn't taste any ginger or turmeric in the drink. To be honest I don't think it's cold pressed juice, but I could be wrong. The avocado toast was cold, the bread was soggy, and the egg was cold too. Overall we were able to get in fine because we made reservations. The only downside was parking, it's pretty limited but the ambiance in the restaurant was fine.

    Nachos!

Go go go. Let me start by saying breakfast is not my thing so I was beyond pleased with the non traditional breakfast options. My niece and I were promptly greeted and seated right under the fun neon sign. She ordered eggs, toast, bacon and fruit with OJ. I had the nachos and couldn't even finish half of them. Sooo good. Wait staff was great, friendly and the bathroom was so clean!

An inferior First Watch. Hash browns were probably the best part. The tacos were decent but the tortillas should have been toasted because they sogged and fell apart. Home fries and sausage were simply tragic. Bacon was too tough as well. It was a cute space, though, even though it was just the Bob Evans in a different color scheme. Service made an effort. Except I asked for no cilantro, the server confirmed no cilantro, the order said no cilantro...but there was still cilantro :/

Food was good. Just good. A little pricey to me. Ate breakfast there. Biscuits and gravy. $22 for me alone. Pricey.

The baked goods here are irresistible. I'm obsessed with their cheese danish (honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their pastries). Whether it's a muffin or a fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie, you can taste the love and homemade quality in every bite. On the savory side, the chicken and waffles is a must-try! And don't get me started on their biscuits and gravy--pure comfort food that hits the spot every time. Leavin Bakery is more than just great food... the atmosphere makes you want to stay a little longer. It's super cozy, always friendly, and the perfect neighborhood hangout. I can't wait to come back and explore their lunch menu--if it's anything like breakfast, I know it's going to be amazing.

The bakery and bread items were plentiful and everything looked delicious. The cinnamon roll was our favorite and it will be the reason to return. I also loved my lemon lavender scone, eating half there and taking home the other half for dessert. I wasn't as happy about the sides from the grill. My eggs were extremely peppery and I gave up eating them because every bite was overwhelming. My two slices of bacon were hard and pitiful, definitely not worth the cost. My friend noted her sausage as "interesting". The space has seating at the grill and two rooms, with one being crowded because of the incoming crowd. However, we were so happy to be there that we didn't mind the visitors and no one was rude to us as they walked along the ordering counter. The owners are a husband and wife team. She was friendly and talkative and we loved her the pride she took of the shop. We left with more pastries and bread. Such great selection and pricing. This is a reason to promote this shop. I've paid more for less quality but now know to come to Leaven Bakery.

The menu is pretty large for a fast casual restaurant, so there is something to every palate or just about every dietary restriction. I had the delicious Edgy Veggie: Fried green tomatoes with mushroom gravy on a biscuit with an iced coffee. The coffee is lovely and there is a good range of specialty lattes (hot or iced) including milk alternatives for the dairy challenged, such as myself. The staff was delightful and friendly, and equally as cheerful was the decor of the restaurant. No boring gray here! Despite many options our second day in town, we decided to return the next day. The modus operandi here is that you stand in line to place your order, then go find a table. At Sunday brunch time, the line can be long and slow to move. After you are seated, a runner will bring your food out. Our orders were correctly prepared and came out quickly. We ordered fried green tomatoes, loaded tater tots and donut holes as appetizers. The green tomatoes were just okay, but I would say that the dipping sauce that came with them was fabulous. The loaded tater tots didn't really seem like tater tots but tasted okay. The donut holes were decent. I ordered the Chick N' Ditch (chicken breast and waffles). The unpleasantly salty chicken was a filet. The French toast that looked like pancakes were good JP ordered the Avocado Toast and said it was just okay. The Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit was good. I was able to order a biscuit on the side (even though the paper menu didn't show biscuits as a side). The biscuit was good. I'm torn between three and four stars for Biscuit Belly, but because the ambience was lively and the interior appealing, I'll go ahead with four stars.
