We did take out. The food was delicious. However we called two times and they lost our order both times. They blamed it on the number being close to another location's number. However, the second phone call we confirmed that it was Logan Square and they confirmed that it was, and they still "lost" the order. One of favorite sushi places in the New Hope/Lambertville area. The sushi is always fresh and the rolls are not overstuffed with rice, the Angel roll is my all time favorite there. The plating is very pretty and colorful, there are also 3 large fish tanks in the middle of the dinning room which are so relaxing to look at. We would usually dine in and ask for the table by the tanks but recently have been ordering a lot of take out which is always packaged very neatly and carefully. I normally find the food at Wild Ginger to be a solid 4 stars. Not fantastic, but consistently good. Last night we ordered carry out and all of us were extremely disappointed. I ordered udon with red curry, shrimp and beef. It was supposed to be spicy and have basil, scallions, mushrooms, and peppers. What I got was udon noodles coated in what appeared to be cornstarch paste with a tiny hint of curry. There was ONE basil leaf and ONE small piece of scallion. There was MAYBE one mushroom. Last, I got chicken which I didn't order. My husband and our friend had similar complaints. Over cooked rice, no flavor, "garlic" sauce that tasted like cornstarch and little else. Needless to say, we won't be ordering here again. What a shame. We've been eating there since the second day after they opened. read more

Sad that things have come to this. I really wanted to like them, but now on more than three occasions the food was pretty horrible. Really Wild Ginger? Is it so hard to maintain consistent quality? I've been ordering for pick up, so I did not notice the atrocious food till I got home. Even more annoying than getting bad food at the restaurant, since there at least you can send it back. I always order the vegetable pad thai. The time before last, when I opened the container I was hit with a hefty aroma of BLEACH. Yes, my pasta smelled like bleach. We called them, they apologized, and said we could get credit for it. At that point I just wanted a refund. They were very accommodating, and i decided to give them another try. Disappointed again. Very few vegetables, sauce only on top portion of noodles, the bottom portion is a tasteless congealed mess. I had enough. Staff is always very friendly and helpful though. read more

I recently moved to the area, and wanted to find a new Asian restaurant, super happy with this one! The staff seems to be knowledgeable about the menu, which makes sense because the food is so good, I would be eating there all the time too! It's easy to spend a little more money than you would hope, but the superior quality of the food makes up for it, plus if you go in for the lunch specials, you can get more than enough food for under $10. I wish someone would have recommended it sooner! read more

The food has always been good, however the service is slow and the servers seem to forget to bring certain items unless they are reminded. This was my regular lunch spot cause I work close by and the food is pretty decent. I would say one of the best asian food in 15 miles radius. However, their waitress, Kathrine is shockingly rude. She messed up my order (which I did not mind at all) but accused me of ordering the wrong thing and stomped off. She later caused a scene without me uttering a word. I could not believe her attitude. Just moved to Solebury Township and were looking for our new, favorite sushi place and this is it!! The sushi was fresh, delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff wasvvery knowledgable about the menu. Highly recommend the peanut avocado salad! The service was prompt but not rushed. Also, they were very knowledgable about adapting dishes to gluten free and offered gluten free soy sauce. We will certainly come back again. read more

So far so good with this new location! They offer thai, japanese and chinese food for eat-in or take-out. It's a fairly small restaurant with a sushi bar and maybe 15-20 tables. There is a room that can be reserved for large parties I believe. It's nicely decorated inside as well...has sort of a posh feel to it. The first time we ate there, we dined in. The service was good despite being their first week open and the food was good. We had a variety from each cuisine...all of which was good. My only disappointment was that they did not yet have the mochi in yet but that's to be expected when they just opened. Since then we have ordered take-out from them twice. Each time the food got better and better. My only negative comment for the take-out is that sometimes it can take a long time. One of my orders was supposed to be ready in 15-20 minutes...it took 45 minutes. They seem to be getting better with that though because my last order was ready when I got there. "Ate" here with my brother on recommendation of my hair salon manager on a weekday night. Astonished by the horrible service (or lack thereof.). Took 25 minutes to have a server stop by and another 10 to get an order placed. Even after asking for a manager and questioning what the problem was with getting simple things like a soda or seaweed salad that doesn't require any kitchen talent, there were only excuses and no improvement in the order fulfillment. The table next to us left after 45 minutes without ever getting their food or even a beverage. While we finally saw food and enjoyed what we ate, we left angry and disgusted, having had over an hour of time wasted over their incompetent management and disastrous table service. 2 stars are solely for the food and decor. read more

I like to be as objective and fair as possible when doing reviews, so in this review I will give both the ups and the downs of my experiences here. I was really excited when this place opened, because I am a local that has lived here for many years, and we don't have many Asian restaurants, so this is a nice alternative to the others. The first time I dined here was about a year ago. I loved the modern, trendy feel, and I was intrigued and drawn in by the beautiful and immaculate saltwater fish tanks that are located right within the main dining area. We were lucky enough to get a seat right next to one of them, and it was very relaxing watching those beautiful fish swimming around as we enjoyed our meals. The food was very good, and the portions were a nice size. (When we had finished eating, I was absolutely stuffed, and we had still had plenty of food left over to take home and enjoy the next day, so if you are a "doggie bag" kind of person, or if you are sharing the entrees with the whole table, I think you'll be happy with these portions). That was the good part. Now, for the not-so-great part. Our waitress was snotty, impatient, and not at all interested in recommending specific dishes when we asked for her opinion. She forgot our drinks, and then gave us attitude when we finally asked her about it, and she wore so much perfume that it lingered at our table after she was gone. The other thing I just couldn't seem to ignore was the streamed music. It didn't really match the atmosphere. It was an average, typical pop station, but I could have gotten past that if it didn't keep turning on and off every few minutes. It would play for a few minutes, then go off, then play again, then turn off, and on and on it went. It would also randomly turn off completely for a longer stretch of time and then start the whole cycle again through the whole meal. If you are the type of person who doesn't notice or doesn't care about stuff like that, then you probably won't have a problem with it, but I am very auditory, so I just couldn't tune it out...lol...no pun intended there. So, overall, my first visit was a mixed bag. I loved the food and décor, but really didn't appreciate the snotty wait staff and annoying music. The second time I visited this place was just a few nights ago. The decor was just as nice as it was the first time, and the receptionist was friendly as she walked us to our table. The staff still had an edge, but it was a bit more tamed this time around. Our waiter, Dan, was especially attentive, and the food was outstanding. I ordered the Buffalo Shrimp as an appetizer and Thai Crunchy Fried Chicken with brown rice for my entrée. Both dishes were delicious, and the portions were large. (I am not sure how true they are to being authentic Thai cuisine - seems more Americanized for sure, but that doesn't really bother me, as long I have an enjoyable meal prepared nicely.) And, now for the grand finale....wait for it....the music. There is it was again, playing in the background, turning on and off, on and off, off for a long stretch, then on again. I can honestly say that the second time around I would have given the whole experience five stars, if it had not been for the streamed music constantly turning on and off. It was so annoying, and I hate to have to say that because the rest of the experience was so great, but little details make a big difference in creating an overall dining atmosphere. That music issue is like nails on a chalkboard to me, so even though I'd really like to, I don't think that I can go back there for again, unless I wear earplugs, but that's going to make dinner conversation a lot more challenging. I was excited to see a new entity in this location, and the menu seemed very interesting. I've enjoyed takeout at another Wild Ginger location before, so felt confident going into the experience. The inside is, as others have mentioned, flashy and upscale. Gorgeous fish tanks! My first experience with the restaurant was takeout. First, wait time was staggering. I was informed it would be an hour for my food to be ready for pick-up. (Note, I did not get much, one entrée, four sushi rolls, an appetizer.) They were really busy, it seemed! (I counted this a positive sign!) The food was, unfortunately, lackluster. The appetizer (salmon tartar, as it's spelled on the menu) wasn't bad exactly, but it was rather plain, and the four Pringle chips stuck into it were disconcerting. Most of the sushi was decent. Nothing amazingly mouthwatering, but we'd stuck to the basics. The tuna roll, though, was completely uneatable. I'm not sure what happened, if they used the wrong part of the fish, or what. It was horrible! The texture was wrong, in such a way that it was literally stomach-churning to bite into it. I'd been looking forward to new sushi options in the area, but after that experience will never be ordering sushi from Wild Ginger again. The General Tso's chicken was good - spicy and tasty - and we ended up sharing that to finish dinner once we tossed the tuna roll. Knowing that the restaurant is still gaining its feet after opening, we might try again after some time has passed, to see if their more thai-oriented entrees are enjoyable.
