Visiting Wenatchee and liked the sound of "Wild Huckleberry" so went there for breakfast. Best. Idea. Ever. Biscuits and gravy to die for. Eggs cooked to perfection. I was here with Eric Clark and he ordered a huge pancake, and I knew he wouldn't finish it but he insisted he was a "big boy". Fast forward 20min and he's eaten three holes out of the pancake and he's wearing it on his face like a mask... one hole for each eye and one for his nose. He forgot to eat a mouth hole. So then he starts to panic and yell "I can't breath, I'm drowning in syrup guuugle guuuurgle". And this really nice waiter came over and she calmly removed the floppy (and delicious) pancake mask from his face. He had turned blue! But that could have been the huckleberries. Very rude service even when I asked where the restroom was. We drove quite a ways off the freeway to try this place based off the yelp reviews, but it's definitely a "LOCALS ONLY" spot and not welcoming to anyone not from around here if you catch my drift. Had to sit outside which was not very fun, considering our server was hard to find. Lets start with the food... This place is AMAZING leme tell ya, the French toast was good BUT the chicken fried steak with the biscuits and gravy were by far the best I've ever had. CFS was tender and juicy and not greasy or overly breaded. I have been dissapointed with 90% of the places I've tried CFS at but this was golden melt in your mouth deliciousness. biscuits were homemade and really soft with lots of flavor in the gravy sooooooooo delicous. The restaurant Looks small from the outside but inside there's several tables that fits many people comfortably and still able to walk around and Very clean as well. The customer service We got lucky it was just 2 of us so we got a small table and no wait waitress was extremely friendly and on the ball had our order in right away because we looked the night before and had a good idea what we were getting. We didn't wait long at all for our food very fresh and hot and definitely good sized portions, we saw pancakes walk by that were as big as a large pizza pan (no joke) Prices were on point definitely worth every penny I wish we lived in this town because I would make it my regular place. Serviceable because there's no real competition. Anywhere else this place would be mid at best. Here it's practically the best we have. That said, service is always acceptable with possible gusts up to good and/or great. I primarily come here for chicken fried steak and bloody's and I never feel ripped off. I'm always satisfied and that's because they are incredibly consistent here. They are more consistent than the McDonald's in town! It was like eating breakfast at grandma's house, if I had a grandma and if she was really into those Hobby Lobby signs with inspirational messages. I ordered their granny smith apple omelette with German sausage, and the friend ordered their veggie omelette with French toast and coffee. This place is so cute inside! We came on a busy Sunday morning but did not have to wait long at all to be seated. Maybe 15 minutes. The food came in a timely manner and everything was amazing! I was visiting Wenatchee for just a night and am glad I chose to spend my breakfast at Wild Huckleberry. I had the bacon and eggs with biscuit and gravy. If you haven't been to Wild Huckleberry for dinner RUN don't walk- to this AMAZING place! We went because the reviews on here were so great and let me tell you- it exceeded our expectations by a long shot! First off our waitress, Becky went above and beyond like I've never experienced. She was so attentive and helpful and friendly. Instead of trying to upsale us like waitstaff my try to do to get a bigger sale she actually told us to order as we go instead of over ordering because the portions were generous and I'm so glad she did. We tasted three wines before chosing a bottle and all the wines were excellent (and two were local which I appreciate). I highly recommend their wine list. They mentioned they go by what customers tend to like so they're on point. To start, we had the cáptese salad (incredible!!) and the farm cottage salad which was unique and SO good with goat cheese and candied pecans along with a homemade lemon dressing. The bread is house made and warm and they keep it coming. For dinner I had the Oscar Chicken and my husband had the Santa Fe Maple Salmon. I tasted his salmon and that is hands down the best salmon I've had in my life and I don't say that lightly. Perfectly seasoned and moist which is hard to accomplish since many people over cook fish. The chicken breast was also moist and the crab and hollándose was perfection. Even the veguwere perfectly seasoned with garlic and butter and al dente so they were nice and crisp and not over cooked and mushy which is often the case when you go out. We shared the pumpkin cheesecake which I would describe more as a pumpkin mouse pie because it had the texture of cloud. The crust is made from gingerbread snaps and the spice level is the max you could do without going overboard. It's amazing. They said the baker is 86 years old and clearly she knows what she's doing. I know this review is a novel- but it's still just scraping the surface of how great this place is. It's a gem of central Washington that deserves to be in the heart of a big city like Seattle or dare I say- New York. We are beyond lucky to have it here. We will be back! read more

Wow, The food is very good, the potions are overwhelming, and the staff is great! This was out first visit and by the line out the door it is a very popular place. The restaurant is in an old house converted to the restaurant and it very nice inside, AC works well even when it was 110 out, and lots of seating. We had a 20 minute wait which I didn't think was bad considering it was 11:00 AM on a Sunday. Our waitress Alex S was very helpful and gave us a few tips on the menu and warned us about the portion sizes. I am not a little guy and couldn't eat all of my french toast, eggs, and sausage!
