We recently came here to celebrate a family member's birthday dinner and unfortunately left very disappointed with both the food and the service. Several people in our group ordered burgers and all commented that they were extremely dry and lacked flavor. The hanger steak was probably the best item we tried, but it would have been nice to have more sauce options besides chimichurri. The mashed potatoes were bland, and the jalapeño cornbread appetizer also lacked flavor. On top of that, the service was very slow despite the restaurant not being busy at the time. Loved our dinner at Wild Oak! Didn't even know they were open already. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was fantastic. We ordered the Burger and French dip and my favorite is that it came out hot! Everything we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared, and the overall atmosphere made for a really enjoyable evening. The new wait staff did a good job. The management needs a wake-up call. We arrived on Sunday at noon and wanted to be seated outside. There were 3-4 workers handling large 3 X 10 foot sheets of roofing plastic found something to the outside roof. I mean, why schedule this on a busy Sunday and not an early morning weekday? Anyway we made our way outside, as the workers continued and we placed our order. I asked for a chicken sandwich and fries, but it was nothing a fast food place couldn't produce. I'm not sure how they managed to mess up nachos but they did. They used flavorless queso instead of real cheese. (Who does that?), jalapeños out of a jar and left the steak completely unseasoned. They forgot the tzatziki sauce on our gyro and when requested they brought us sour cream. The bun on my burger was great but the patty itself was obviously a frozen patty from the freezer section. Completely flavorless and mushy. Drinks were wildly overpriced, especially for lacking any flavor beyond the alcohol. Fries were also poorly done. No crispy exterior with a soft inside, just mush all the way through. Do not waste your money here. read more

Honestly not a great experience. Sat at the bar during the end of a rush. Got drinks with my party of 3 pretty quickly at first then weren't acknowledged again for at least 10+ minutes. Had to ask for menus then after another 10-15 minutes the whole rush was over, a table got cleared and my group asked to move to an open one and as another 10 minutes went by we noticed nobody cared about serving us. Got served two beers in the span of an hour and a half and the fact it took that long to get out of there was crazy cause it was dead after 30 minutes into arriving. Got the food and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich, looked fried but was so soft. I'd give that a 6/10 but the fries were good at least. Played good music but the feeling of so much staff walking around us and not noticing or maybe noticing and not caring was wild and embarrassing . Had to get up to get my own to get the WiFi after asking 3 different people, definitely felt like the look of the restaurant didn't match the service. read more

I came in for a girls dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I had seen this place a few times when walking by but finally decided to dine here. Our server Joelie perfectly answered all questions we had about the menu and helped accommodate to dietary restrictions. The food was amazing and the drinks were even better. Last night, my family & I went to WOG to celebrate Father's Day. Due to my sister getting married soon, and rehearsal dinners & life in between, we decided to celebrate Father's Day early. My sister reserved a table for 7pm on a Friday. It literally took us almost 45 mins to find a parking spot. We live 20 mins away & left 45 mins before our reservation & didn't find a spot till 7:20pm. My sister & parents got there on time (my mom & dad have a handicap placard & found a spot pretty quickly.) They arrived on time & still had to wait for a table that was big enough for our group (9 people). We got there about 3 mins after they were given a table to serve our group. When ordering we were told we were not allowed to have separate checks. The only thing they could do was use different credit cards to split the bill evenly. So say, your bill is $300.00. You can use one credit cards to pay, $100.00. Then use a 2nd credit card to pay another $100.00 dollars. Then use the last & third credit card to pay, $100.00. That's absolutely ridiculous. WOG loses One star for that logic. You should absolutely let your customers split the bill. We placed our orders & got our food & my future brother in laws burger & salad were not made correctly. We were all really hungry & he just wanted to eat but didn't touch the salad he was given for it was wrong. The food was really good. My husband loved his tacos (he wanted the filet mignon tacos but they were out) so he got the birria tacos instead & loved them. My family mostly got burgers & thought they were good. My order was great. But the parking situation & the food order being wrong & not being able to split the bill makes me want to give 3 stars. Being that they're a new restaurant, I'll give them so grace. However... I don't know if I will be back for a while. Especially on a Friday night. read more

Servers pleasant and attentive. 3 of us chose 3 different entrees for a large selection on the menu, all were appropriate temperature, large portions, attractively displayed and very deliciouis. We were planning on eating at a different restaurant but when my husband and daughter passed by we loved the vibe and look of the restaurant and decided to give it a try. We got an outdoor table easily under the nice shaded umbrellas. The place was pretty busy for lunch. I ordered the French dip sandwich with a salad. The French dip was tender, full of flavor and delicious and I liked that they served it with horseradish. I have tried many French dip sandwiches from various places and this is at the top of the list. My husband had the steak sandwich with fries and my daughter had the wild oak house burger and they both thought their order was delicious and generous in size. Our server, Ivan took care of us and was friendly. I didn't realize the restaurant only opened 8 days ago and i thought everything went smoothly...from our drinks, to the food and the great service. The menu is all over the place and not sure what this restaurant is trying to be. Inside looks exactly the same as Opa plus a couple things on the wall. I don't think there was a menu item we ordered that wasn't previously frozen . It's pub food . I will come back and give it another shot but will be surprised if this place makes it based on the random menu and average drink options. read more

We really wanted to try out the new restaurant downtown and have now been twice. The food selection is good but delivery and execution are not great, friends enjoyed their happy hour drinks, and the salad was tasty overall but slow to come out. Both experiences were really sullied by a ton of flies in both rooms (they use the Stacks location next door for alcoholic drinks-which is confusing and a little suspect as to why?) and constantly trying to land on us and the food. Both times so it's not a one off thing (and we had this issue at Stacks and didn't return there prior) so this needs to be fixed asap as it's gross. The first night the service was good, the second we saw the server once to take orders and then to drop off the food, and never again. No drink refills, no checking on us for further needs, just gone. We had to flag someone down for the check. We will wait a while to go back and give it one more try but so far not worth the $ or parking hassle of downtown which is a bummer. read more
