Taking a stroll in downtown Morgan Hill and walked up to Wild Oak. I had seen it on Facebook and it was on my bucket list of restaurantes to try, so, today is the day. Ambiance was casual and family friendly. Walked in and we were greeted and sat right away. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The employees were welcoming and friendly. Our server was awesome and geve great customer service. He explained some of the menu items and gave some good suggestions. After looking over the menu we made our choices. DRINKD Piña Del Roble $16.00 Rum, coconut, pineapple, vanilla Tropical island style cocktail with creamy coconut and pineapple. Drink had a strong pour, if you know what I mean. It was not lacking spirit. Enjoyed the coconut and pinapple flavor. Hubbs orderd a beer, however, cant remeber which one, lol. APPITIZERS Jalapeño Cornbread $13.00 Cornbread with jalapeños bakd right into it. It was served with whippd warm honey butter and sea salt. Cornbread was warm flakey and jalapeños did not overwhelm the tatse of the bread. Good choice for a starter. Greek Salad $17.00 Mixed spring greens, topped with Kalamata olives, cucumber, pickled red onions, and feta cheese, with greek dressing. Rally enjoyed this sales. The veggies were fresh and crisp. All the ingredients went well together. Garlic Fries $7.00 Crispy fries tossed in roasted garlic, herbs and olive oil and finished with a touch of sea salt. Thse fries were perfectly cooked and golden brown, just how I like them. Fies were crispy on the outside and fluffy and steaming on the inside. Thy were perfectly sasoned and very satisfying. I woulld come back just for the fries, thats how good they were. While we were there we noticed our drinks and food took a while to come out. I guess they are still working out the kinks from recently opening. Will come again in the near future to give them another chot as their food was good and the drinks were srong spirited, lol. Thank you for the complementayr glass of wine.

It's always a pleasant surprise when every single person at the table leaves happy, and that's exactly what happened at Wild Oak Grill. The menu descriptions were spot on, and each dish delivered exactly what we were hoping for. I ordered the Wild Oak House Burger, and it was outstanding. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy without being greasy, and topped with fresh ingredients that complemented the beef instead of overpowering it. The toasted brioche bun held everything together perfectly, and every bite was packed with flavor. My wife ordered the Blackened Southwest Chicken Salad, which was anything but an ordinary salad. The chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the combination of fresh greens, avocado, black beans, corn, queso fresco, crispy tortilla strips, and the vinaigrette made for a fresh, satisfying meal that was full of texture and flavor. My nephew went with the Morgan Hill Burrito, and it was seriously impressive. Stuffed with tender filet mignon, seasoned fries, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, and their rich brew cheese sauce, it was indulgent without feeling overdone. It was one of those dishes that makes everyone else at the table wish they'd ordered it. What really stood out was the consistency. All three completely different dishes were prepared with care, generous in portion, and exactly as described on the menu. That's not something you find everywhere. Pro tip: If you order the burger, spend the extra $2 to upgrade the regular fries to the truffle fries. They're crispy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely worth the small upcharge. If you're in Morgan Hill and looking for a place where the food actually lives up to the menu, Wild Oak Grill is well worth the stop. It has a great pub grub bar and grill vibe inside with very friendly wait staff We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu.

We had a wonderful experience at Wild Oak Restaurant in Morgan Hill. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. We ordered the Blackened Southwest Salad and the Hanger Steak, and both were outstanding. The kids enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries, cheeseburger and fries, and butter noodles every plate was a hit! The service was just as amazing as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our meal. Everything arrived fresh and perfectly prepared. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Wild Oak for a great dining experience!

Husband said it was the best jalapeño burger he's ever had. Fries were delicious and the burrito was great. Very friendly service too!

Newest restaurant in downtown Morgan hill. Very nice setup and spacious. I really like the outdoor seating. The food was very solid. I liked the flavor of the French dip sandwich and sauce. My wife's burrito also good and had nice portion size.

We saw that Wild Oak opened in our downtown MH last week. We stopped by for a quick happy hour on Tuesday, which was when their happy hour started. And again today for Funday Friday to take our son after picking him up after school. We tried the happy hour food which was pretty satisfying : truffle fries, calamari, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, coconut shrimp and the house special fish & chips. His favorite was the mozzarella sticks because he said it tasty. My favorite was the coconut shrimp because the batter was perfect and the shrimp itself was soft and tender. Hubby's favorite was the calamari. We tried the happy hour drinks: Guava Paloma (very delicious), Chardonnay, Cadillac Wild Margarita, & Lemon Drop Ember. All were very delicious. And spot on. Especially the Guava Paloma. Our waiter today was Nate, who was extremely accommodating and checked on us frequently even though we could tell he was busy with other tables inside and outside. Very good at multitasking and getting his customers what they needed like extra sauces. Thank you.

(Memorial weekend) Friday lunch was packed but we were able to get a table. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. Here's what we ordered: Crispy calamari (10/10) Jalapeño cornbread (10/10) Jalapeño burger (3/10) - thick raw slices of jalapeños, at least use pickled jalapeños -the onions would've tasted better if it was caramelized - the burger patty was greasy, watery and tasteless Prime ribeye (2/10) - very chewy and tough - no flavor - I asked for an upgrade on sides and I chose truffle fries, which were delicious Service 10/10 Would we come back? maybe.

We had dinner here last night, this is a new place in town. I forgot to take a picture of the food but I had the jalapeño cornbread and the BBQ bacon burger with truffle fries. My son had the ribeye and mashed potatoes. We all enjoyed the food, everything was delicious. The whole restaurant staff were very nice, we were sat right away. The reason for 4 stars is it took a long time to order and it took a long time to get our food. Maybe that will improve with time. We ate outside on the patio, it was a nice vibe out there with the heat lamps.

Brussels + shrimp scampi (ate the shrimp before I took the picture - only thing edible)

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant because of its location and all the hype on social media. The one bright spot of the entire experience was Chloe, our waitress. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely apologetic for issues that were completely out of her control. The coconut shrimp was good, although the sauce was a little unusual. The hanger steak was well-seasoned, but the sides looked old and soggy. The Brussels sprouts were mushy, cold, and lacked any seasoning. The biggest disappointment was the shrimp scampi. The first plate I received was essentially boiled noodles with shrimp. To the manager's credit, they had it remade, but the second version still lacked flavor. What really surprised me was being told that "shrimp scampi doesn't have a sauce." Maybe not a heavy sauce, but where was the garlic, lemon, parsley, butter, or even salt? It was incredibly bland. I tried to eat it, but I'm not willing to finish a meal out of pity. I still paid my full bill and tipped Chloe because she did a great job, but unfortunately, I won't be returning.

    Cadillac Margarita

Great food and even better service! The fish tacos were fresh and delicious, and the Cadillac margarita was excellent. A special thank you to my server, Lea, for her professionalism, kindness, and attentive service. She made my experience even better. I'll definitely be back!

    Loaded nachos

The ambiance was great and they have a very welcoming team! This was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back! I went there during their happy hour and our server Lia was incredible!! We asked her for recommendations and she guided us through the menu and always served us with a smile! I had the loaded nachos and they were spectacular!!

I arrived for dinner recently on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is located in a nice area in bustling downtown Morgan Hill. Parking is available on the street and the few parking lots close by. The restaurant is very small with a cozy outdoor patio for dine in. There is just enough space for the kitchen and front counter to order only. I ordered an A-Jay classic cheese steak and garlic fries. Everything was quite tasty. The cheese steak had quality meat and fresh soft bread. The cherry peppers went well with every bite. Garlic fries were crispy and flavorful. Overall I enjoyed my experience at A-Jay's Cheese Steaks. The staff were nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was family friendly and welcoming. My only gripe is since the price point is high I suggest combo options with small sides available for better value. It's been a while since the last time I was here. Not sure when I'll be back but at least I satisfied my recent craving.

Coming from Westminster in the OC then moving to San Jose, those two areas I was always around viet food so coming to this place I tried to give it some leeway since I know since moving to Morgan hill there is not many places to gather Vietnamese ingredients to cook at home The banh mi itself needs work. The baguette came out pretty dry. For their selection, it seems like they try to add multiple variations of banh mi meats into one rather than the way other banh mi places do specific meats per each sandwich. (Thịt nướng , chả lụa, heo quay) The pate and mayonnaise were lacking. The đồ chua or picked daikon and carrots were kind of lackluster. That being said it seems like one of the few places to get banh mi in Morgan hill, I do feel that they should not be charging such premium price for their sandwiches. If it was cheaper then I wouldn't be so harsh as "you get what you pay for". Not the case here

I wasn't sure what else was around in the bakery department, so my husband drove me down town to see what we could find. I spotted GVA and ran in right before closing as a last-resort, hoping they had something I could bring as a dessert to a friend's house. I caught the cashier while trying to get a quick bite, but she hurried to help (even with her mouth full, which I appreciated, being in a rush myself). She was very friendly and I got the chocolate chip cookies and biscottis I was hoping to find. The cookies were impressively big (my daughter told me they were as big as her head). We cut each cookie into 6 pieces so everyone could try the different types: chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate, and oatmeal, and then almond and chocolate biscottis. Everyone was happy with the cookie assortment! Thank you for being open when no one else was GVA! You saved the day~

On one fine fall day heading to the Morgan Hill Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning, I decided to try GVA's Ube Matcha Latte (iced and extra sweet) via their mobile app. Inside, there's seating available, complimentary water, and cozy vibes all around. They were cranking out drinks left and right, and doing it all with a smile. My drink was definitely a 100/10 because it was that good! They nailed the matcha latte ratio to ube. Even some gals at the Farmer's Market were intrigued by my drink because of its beautiful colors and of course it looked good too!
