Met up with friends for lunch at the Wild River Grille. It was such a nice atmosphere with smiling staff and comforting dimmed lighting. The menu options all sound so good. I went with the gambling pig with chips and it was absolutely delicious. The bbq sauce with slaw and Jalapeños works so well together. Happy I got to experience this local grill, and would like to return again to try another tasty dish! The only con is that anywhere you park, you will have to pay and walk. It is a beautiful walk along the river though.

This restaurant is on the riverwalk in Reno & was very nice. I sat outside & it was super windy but they had inside seating as well! There was live music outside which added to the ambiance....nice! I had the special which was supposed to be shrimp and mussels over pasta in a lemon cream sauce but I skipped the mussels & wow they put a ton of shrimp in the pasta. It was very good & came with garlic bread. The mint mojito was very tasty as well. My server was pleasant and accommodating. This is a great place to sit outside have a drink & listen to live music although I don't know how often they have the live music.

We stopped by Wild River Grille for lunch and had a fantastic experience. We were seated on the patio almost immediately, waters arrived right away, and the service remained friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The riverside setting made for a relaxing atmosphere and was a great place to spend a summer afternoon. We started with the Crab & Salmon Cakes, and they were outstanding. The presentation was beautiful, and each cake had a perfectly crisp exterior while remaining delicate inside. You could clearly taste both the crab and salmon, and the slightly spicy aioli complemented them perfectly without overpowering the seafood. For cocktails, I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird, and it was excellent. The mezcal's smoky flavor came through clearly, almost reminding me of a good Scotch, yet it had just enough sweetness to keep it balanced. If you enjoy spirit-forward cocktails that aren't overly sweet, I'd highly recommend it. My wife ordered the Razz Jazz and later the Rosé All Day. She loved the Razz Jazz, describing it as refreshing, lightly sweet, and lemony, with enough alcohol flavor to remind you it's a cocktail without being overpowering. The Rosé All Day was another refreshing choice and perfect for a warm afternoon on the patio. For lunch, we ordered the French Dip and the Tri-Tip Sandwich. The French Dip was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the rich au jus. The Tri-Tip Sandwich was loaded with smoky, well-seasoned beef on fresh bread. It was a bit richer than I personally prefer, but the quality of the meat was undeniable. The fries were a standout in their own right, perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned just right. Wild River Grille isn't the least expensive lunch in town, but the quality of the food, expertly crafted cocktails, attentive service, and beautiful riverside patio made it feel well worth the price. We'll definitely be back.

Love Wild River Grille! So much so I even had my 50th birthday there. Went recently for appetizers and drinks and the service and food were delicious, as always. I love their outside dining area with plenty of umbrellas to shade the area and dine by the river. We had the caprese bruschetta with tomato, fresh mozzarella, garlic basil pesto and balsamic. Excellent flavor combination. We also enjoyed the crispy brussel sprouts. Perfection! Included blue cheese crumbles, bacon and a ham vinaigrette. I recommend making a reservation of you plan to dine during the lunch and dinner hours. This is a popular spot! Gift cards are available at the Reno Costco at $79.99 for $100 food value. I always have a few in my purse.

I had a nice dinner with my family to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the sausage trio appetizer which was good but was a little light for $21. I ordered the ribeye steak which was okay, I ordered it well but it came out rare, which isn't the end of the world but not what I ordered. The portion was good but the cut seemed just okay for a premium ribeye, the potatoes were just good but didn't strike me as well seasoned, but I did love the carrots and thought they were delicious. The service was great and the server brought me a free creme brulee for the steak mixup which wasn't the end of the world. Overall, I had a good time, the prices are a touch high and add up quickly, but Wild River Grille is a staple of the Reno Riverwalk and you can't go wrong dropping by.

This review is for the intimate meeting room for a party I attended. Perfect venue for smaller meetins. Holds 162 people. Great place for a smaller, quieter band. Room has a dance floor and nice, well stocked bar. Servers were prompt. Food was great and presented nicely.

Reservations required! Hubby surprised me and our friends with dinner and it was worth every penny! Sat outside on the patio, music playing by a local musician, and the drinks and food were spot on! While we went in summer heat, I highly suggest going once the sun goes down behind the taller buildings (we went at 7:45 pm). Staff were respectful and my filet mignon was on point. Business casual and a bit pricy, but again, we had a great experience and it was worth every penny!

My first time coming here and the service was friendly, with good suggestions for wine pairings. My husband and I split the salmon dish (and we were told there was a $5 charge to split the dish but extra sides would be added). I liked that they added more sides and the size of the fish was perfect after we split it. We each ordered a salad which was also a great size. The kale salad was delicious with a little heat to it, fresh strawberries, and the perfect amount of dressing. We also had room for crème brûlée. Great date night and nice to finally try the Wild River Grille!

I decided to celebrate my birthday with my friends here during their happy hour. We were a little disappointed that their happy hours changed and all their best apps were gone from their happy hour menu. I made a reservation for my group and when we walked in, we asked if we could add another person. The hostess made it seemed like it was inconvenience even though there were multiple tables open. In the end they were able to change our table with no issues. Like usual, the drinks and food we ordered were delicious. Overall a good visit! Disappointed about their happy hours changed.

This was my first time at Wild River Grill and unfortunately it was not the best. The restaurant is very nice and inviting. I originally made an appointment for 5:00 and was told that my reservation was at 5:30. I was able to go back and confirm that the l did in fact made it for 5. None the less they did still seat us. The inside was quite empty or so I thought and they sat us all the way in the back on the side that there were no other guests. We sat for about 10 minutes before another group was sat at the front by the door and then once that group got their waiter so did we. Apparently the waiter was also the bartender and the hostess did not notify her that we were there nor did she take a look. I ordered a burger well done which was was medium well when it got to me. I did have to sent it back and unfortunately due to the service etc. I decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. This was an unfortunate first impression, maybe I will try again and sit outside and hopefully get a better experience.

Had a good lunch at the wild river grille. Weather was perfect and the restaurant had a good vibe. Just had sandwiches. Kind of pricy but good.

We were seated on the left side of the patio, away from all other guests.

This was my coworker and my first time dining at Wild River, and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. We were celebrating my coworker's birthday while we were in town for work, so I made sure to note in our OpenTable reservation that it was her birthday. Sadly, that was never acknowledged. No one wished her a happy birthday, and there wasn't even a small dessert or any recognition, which was disappointing. Our server, Tyler, was friendly, but the service was very inattentive. I understand restaurants get busy, but another table was seated next to us about 10 minutes after we arrived. By that point, we had already ordered our drinks, appetizer, and entrees. Despite arriving later, that table received their drinks and food before we did. Their server was consistently checking on them, clearing their plates promptly, offering dessert, and bringing their check without them having to ask. Meanwhile, I repeatedly had to turn around and look for our server whenever we needed something. He would eventually notice me and come over, but we shouldn't have had to keep searching for him. After we finished our meals, our empty plates sat on the table for at least 10 minutes while nearby tables had their dishes cleared and checks delivered. Because service was taking so long, I decided to order my dessert to go. My original plan was to enjoy half of it at the restaurant and take the rest back with me, but I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for dessert to come out, then spend more time trying to find our server for a to-go box, and then wait again for our check. When I received my butter cake, it was honestly the most unappealing butter cake I've ever been served. It looked like it had simply been tossed into the container, and to my surprise, it was served completely cold. I've dined at many upscale restaurants and have ordered butter cake countless times, and I've never been served one cold simply because it was packaged to go. I took one bite and was immediately disappointed. I asked Tyler to remove it from the bill because I didn't feel comfortable paying $15 for a dessert that looked poorly presented and was served cold. He explained that when the butter cake is ordered to go, it's served cold. Whether that's the restaurant's standard or not, it wasn't communicated beforehand, and it definitely wasn't what I expected. The food and drinks themselves were good, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the level of service did not match the quality of the food. Between the inattentive service, the lack of acknowledgment for my coworker's birthday, and the disappointing dessert experience, this visit fell far below our expectations. Sadly, we won't be returning.

We made reservations at Wild River Grille to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary on April 8 2026. What a wonderful, wonderful experience! Annalee was SO gracious, friendly and accommodating. I don't order Filet Mignon often, but this Entrée was literally "done to perfection". It was delicious and tender, served with cowboy butter, asparagus, on an amazing parmesan risotto cake. My wife had their New York steak special with "duck fried " Fries and Delta asparagus- SO GOOD. Imagine our surprise when we ordered Bread Pudding for dessert and it arrived at our table emblazoned with a chocolate "Happy Anniversary" decoration wish on the plate! (See photo) All in all, an awesome experience at what has to be one of Reno's premier dining locations! We can't wait to visit again and perhaps dine outdoors on their charming lighted patio on a warm summer evening.

It's such a bummer because we hardly ever get to eat dinner together, and we want to spend it interacting, not using a phone for yet ANOTHER task. We order: rosemary popovers, steak, wedge salad, potatoes a gratin, and asparagus. Popovers: no rosemary, just dried parsley sprinkled on top. Burned on the bottom, very tough (likely over mixed) Wedge salad: pretty solid, very salty Steak: too salty as well, but cooked nicely to order Potatoes: this...is not a gratin. And it was covered the same sauce as the asparagus, which was maybe a flavorless béchamel? Asparagus: covered in bacon w the above sauce and very tough and stringy. My experience was quite different, we had a party of six celebrating a very special occasion. Thinking this Steakhouse is rated 4 stars we thought we couldn't go wrong, that was our first mistake. Of the first 5 salads brought out they had to take em back because of the 'off' odor. Our server explained that maybe it was the radishes (not what I would expect from a four star steakhouse). When the entrées came out three people had ordered filet mignon's, which I was told was very tasty. One of the patrons had ordered New York strip (three of us confirmed that) and was given and charged for a filet mignon rather than taking it back to the kitchen and giving the patron what they ordered. It was unfortunate, but the service in my opinion was not four-star they did check on us occasionally and kept the water glasses full and 'maybe' they even asked if everything was OK. Not wanting to spend $60 for a steak (I was a guest) I ordered the seafood roast. It turned out to be a very tasty bisque, but a tasty bowl of soup shouldn't cost $35.00. Give em try if you want to gamble on a great experience. My recommendation is to go to Western Steakhouse, enjoy the much better ambience, 120% better experience for maybe 10% more. Absolutely lovely bread service here. First round of dirty Tito's with bleu cheese stuffed olives & a refreshing pineapple Patrón margarita to start, the perfect accompaniments to starters foie gras & waygu Rossini and escargot. To be 100% honest, these aren't my favorite snails. White wine takes up room that unctuous butter and garlic should, making them seem watery, thin and a little tough. Hubby had that evening's special sea bass with polenta and I had the double cut lamb chops, both entrées were PERFECTION. We ordered the mushroom medley and sauteed spinach for sides. The mushrooms were luxurious, but the spinach was brothy, again not buttery or creamy at all. Not bad in any way, just not the steakhouse staple creamy spinach I was expecting. Even though a few dishes were a little different than what I was hoping for, the overall meal was excellent. We're at the age in life where we don't want gifts or parties for birthdays; we want experiences. And Bimini delivers on the experience. With leftovers in hand, my only regret was not swapping out being too full for desserts for a tawny port. If this is what grown up money and free will get you, then whoever says money doesn't buy happiness hasn't dined at Bimini. Treat. Your. Self.

I've never done table side before, but our waiter was very kind and good at keeping the conversation going. Absolutely wonderful experience at Duke's Steakhouse! We had…read moresuch an amazing experience from start to finish, and a huge part of that was because of Oscar. He was absolutely incredible! He didn't just provide great service--he truly went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of and had a special experience. Oscar was attentive, kind, personable, and genuinely seemed to care about making our evening memorable. You can tell when someone is simply doing their job versus when someone truly takes pride in what they do, and Oscar definitely falls into the second category. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed! And of course, the food was fantastic! Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious, and the atmosphere made it such a great place to enjoy a meal. Duke's Steakhouse is lucky to have someone like Oscar on their team! We will absolutely be back, and we hope we get the opportunity to have Oscar take care of us again. He deserves all the recognition for the wonderful experience he gave us! Thank you Oscar!!!!!!

We always get the Jumbo Prawns, but tonite they didn't come in the cocktail glass and the presentation was not appealing. We always ask for the thousand island instead of cocktail sauce, there wasn't much sauce to even cover your prawn. We were very happy with the prime slider and cooked to perfection and so flavorful! This is a keeper on the happy hour menu. The bread & butter is so good! A variety of fresh baked bread pairs well with your dining experience. I was shocked the wine of the month was the Dauo Sauvignon blanc which I just had at a yelp event! Very good wine! I did start with the Val Kilmer Lemondrop, which features huckleberry vodka so very good. Must order! The complementary chocolates are a nice touch to end your happy hour experience!! The best part of the meal is seeing Adrian, he's one of our favorite bartenders. Look forward to the menu change later in September.

This place is so UNDERRATED! Such a peaceful atmosphere, consistent food, and chill staff; I can't…read morebelieve that Washoe Public House isn't getting the hype it deserves! The eating area is very spacious and commodious. Though this place has a casual vibe, the presentation of the food is totally fine-dining material. Each dish, especially the Citrus glazed salmon, is served as a piece of art. I've been here around three times before I installed yelp, and am excited to finally leave a review. The short rib, was absolutely amazing. The short rib was so tender, and each brussels sprout was a literal flavor bomb. The brussels sprouts I've had at other places have flavor only on the exterior, whereas the brussels sprouts here play a different game. The short rib is served in a really big portion. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. This short rib was a win. Chefs kiss. The truffle lasagna was terrific; so much sauce in between the lasagna layers. I could absolutely make out the truffle flavor in this dish. However, I recommend eating this dish quickly, as the lasagna stiffens really quickly. Thirty minutes after it was served, I went it to take another bite, and it wasn't as good anymore. The ceasar salad +beef is a great choice for a light but filling meal when you're currently on a healthy diet. Each dish here comes in giant portions, but even after you finish this salad, it won't feel too heavy on your body. I think it's because Washoe is really light on the dressing levels; perfecting the amount so it doesn't overtake the fresh flavor of the greens or leave the salad bland and insipid. However, the beef was a bit too well done and on the firmer side. The first time coming here, I was totally shocked to find out that the food they served did not match the relaxed and informal vibe the setting sets up. Not a bad thing at all. Creates a laid-back vibe while still getting high quality food.

Elk Chops, Kangaroo Philly Cheese Steak, Boar Schnitzel or Scottish Eggs, if you are looking for…read more"different" you can have it at the Washoe Public House. Situated in Mid-Town, it is conveniently located near the River and an easy walk to to the Pioneer Center. Have no fear, there is quite normal food fare in addition to the more exotic. We went with a large group, so we were able to sample the exotic and the more traditional. Starting with the Double Elk Chops, featured on Dives, Diners and Drive-Ins, the Elk is a bit on the gamey side, tender with a hint of lamb taste but a finish of liver, it is not for everyone. Scottish Eggs is a soft boiled egg, wrapped in sausage, then deep fried. It is served with a beer mustard. My friend, from England, was quick to order the Scottish Eggs. He reported that they were a bit over cooked but otherwise fine. 6/10. The Kangaroo Philly Cheese Steak sounds more exotic than the taste. For this sandwich I would have appreciated a bit more Kangaroo :-) but otherwise was good. Our friends seemed to enjoy the Boar Schnitzel and the portion was certainly large, as were all the portions at the Washoe Public House. The Short Ribs were so tended and a just a touch on the sweet side. My wife liked the sweetness but as a full meal, it was a bit sweet for my palate. I had the Washoe Burger with Bacon. A solid burger. I would have preferred my patty a bit less cooked but it was fine none the less. Rich with flavor, a solid choice. The fries were good. Nothing spectacular. It you are looking for different, Washoe Public House just might be the ticket. Fantastic cuisine, located close to the River and other entertainment.

My mother-in-law surprised us with a dinner here for our one-year anniversary, and it did not disappoint. The service was wonderful everyone was so friendly and attentively and the restaurant has such a beautiful, classic elegance to it. We ordered the Chateaubriand and OMG... this could seriously feed four people! I absolutely loved the presentation. They bring it out, slice it tableside, and show you the cut right in front of you. Such a nice touch! We also had the crème brûlée, and they surprised us with a chocolate mousse cake for our anniversary. They even give you a palate cleanser of lemon sorbet with non-alcoholic bubbly, which was SO good. Another really sweet touch: they ask to take your photo and then give you a beautiful printed copy to take home! It made the anniversary dinner feel even more special and gave us a little keepsake from the night. Everything from the food to the service and all the little details made the evening memorable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great steak, wonderful service, and a more elegant dining experience in Reno. Definitely a special-occasion kind of place!
