    Complimentary bread

We dine here at almost every celebratory occasion, but this was my first time ordering the wagyu trio. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I couldn't decide which Wagyu to get, so the trio was a great introduction to Wagyu meats, so now I know what I want for next time! As always, the complimentary bread is amazing and the staff is pleasant and attentive. You really can't beat the local discount that Peppermill gives locals.

My husband and I came here recently for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We had booked the reservation a few weeks in advance. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. The ambiance inside is pretty nice - it's a very large dining room with a lot of seating. I would expect a bit darker/moody lighting for a steakhouse, but it's still very nice. Our waiter Robert "Bob" and his assistant were so genuine and kind. We got alot of recommendations from them and they were very helpful. My husband and I started with the Classic Tableside Caesar Salad. The salad was so fresh and flavorful. It was a bit on the spicy/tangy side, but was enjoyable. I then got the 8oz Prime Filet Mignon and my husband got the 16oz Niman Ranch Prime NY Strip. We split the Au Gratin Potatoes and the French Fries (I know, I know - two potatoes dishes haha!) we both have our preferences in potato and figured the Caesar salad was enough for a veggie and we didn't need another. The veggie sides are so marked up at these places. I love that each steak comes with a sauce: we got the Roasted Garlic-Cabernet and Creamy Horseradish. For dessert we split the Cherry Crumb Cheesecake which came with ice cream and chocolate truffles. This was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. What a great recommendation from the waiter - we were so full by this point that we were able to take it home and eat it the next night. I'm still thinking about that amazing cake batter crumble: yum!! Overall we had a great experience. We'll definitely add this restaurant back into our rotation when we want a nice night out. The best part of being a local is the 20% discount!

Amazing service. This place is a bit pricey but we had so much fun. My husband has the steak Diane which was prepared tableside. Overall we enjoyed all the food and would highly recommend to anyone.

Great dinner in an elegant setting! Service was on point and the drinks were great. The complimentary bread service was very good as the bread is made in house. The lobster bisque is some of the best I've ever had- chunks of lobster in a rich flavorful broth. Loved the sorbet with sparking intermezzo. The bone-in rib eye was cooked perfectly. The broccoli side with garlic was a nice accompaniment. I had the scallop special. Wow! Perfectly cooked sea scallops over a bed of amazing veggies and roasted potatoes with beurre blanc sauce. The dark chocolate carmels with se salt were the perfect end.

I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday here, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. If you do decide to visit, I recommend parking in the garage--it's quite a walk from the Virginia Street parking lot. Service started off okay, but the pacing felt off. We were rushed at the beginning, then experienced a long gap after our appetizer, salad, and soup before our entrées arrived. The food itself was just okay, with nothing that truly stood out. From the complimentary bread to the entrées, most dishes were bland, and there wasn't anything we would order again. The Wagyu and Tomahawk steaks tasted as though they were of lesser quality. The King Crab legs were prepared well and easy to eat (market price $141), but still nothing to rave about. This was especially noticeable when compared to several steakhouses we've dined at in Reno and Sparks, and it doesn't come close to the quality of steakhouses in Las Vegas or Hawaii. Desserts were better--the Poached Pear, Cherry Cheesecake, and 6-Layer Chocolate Cake--but even the Banana Foster didn't quite measure up to others I've had. My son did enjoy the Old Forester flight. The Pineapple Margarita was just okay, and my daughter appreciated the server making her an affogato. Oddly, the server used some "sayings" throughout the evening that made us pause. He also didn't acknowledge that it was my birthday, which was disappointing given the occasion and the notation on our reservation. It makes you wonder why there's even a section for accommodations if it doesn't matter. On a positive note, our busser, Spencer, was great and very attentive. Overall, the whole experience fell short of what I had hoped for as a birthday dinner celebration and unfortunately ended the evening on a disappointing note, especially considering the nearly $800 bill.

We dined at Bimini Steakhouse last month and the experience was phenomenal from start to finish. The service alone deserves five stars--our water glasses never even made it a quarter of the way down before being refilled. Attentive without being intrusive, which is rare these days. The homemade Caesar salad was incredibly fresh, perfectly balanced and clearly made with care. The steak was cooked spot-on, exactly as ordered, tender and full of flavor. From the food to the service, everything was executed flawlessly. A truly excellent dining experience and absolutely worth returning for. It was a beautiful restaurant! Highly recommend

Our favorite place to eat at when visiting Reno NV. we love lobster bisque there is the best. Tomahawk steak was very good. Love their complimentary sorbet with prosecco, and how they give at the end warm wet towels to clean your hands. 10/10 overall.

Jeff, Tony, and Gary took great care of us making sure we had everything we needed and wanted. They were extremely efficient and friendly. The food was excellent and good portion size. The flavor of the food did not disappoint which is especially important when you're paying top dollar. The whole experience was top notch and we will definitely tell everyone we know if they want a nice steakhouse where they can go.

Filet mignon + au gratin cheesy potatoes + mushrooms
    Tara T.

The food was delicious. We ordered the cooked oysters + crab stuffed mushrooms -- the BEST I've ever had. Split the filet mignon + au gratin cheesy potatoes + mushrooms. You could cut the steak with a fork. Service was on point. We had 3 people helping our table of 8. Loved the sorbet w/sparkling wine to reset the palate. The ambiance was very nice. We had the back private room. Would go again!

Beautiful restaurant, attentive servers and DELECTABLE entrees! Doesn't get much better than this. Came here to celebrate my son's birthday with the fam. It was my son's birthday wish to try A5 Japanese Wagyu, and what better way to do it than in style at the Peppermill hotel/resort?! The decor and service at Bimini's was inviting and warm. Appetizer wise, we ordered the fresh oysters which were indeed delicious and fresh. The birthday boy was happy with his steak, and saved room for his birthday cake. The filet mignon sampler was EPIC. Perfectly cooked-medium rare with an assortment of dipping sauces. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. For dessert the crème brûlée and apple cobbler were both amazing. Impossible to choose which one I enjoyed more. We will definitely be back again for more!

The food is very mediocre better off at the Atlantis steak house for better quality steak and food ! Highly dissatisfied with the so called Wagyu steak the quality was very mediocre was not top quality meat. The sides is bland as ever. For the price I expected way better quality food. So mad I didn't go to Atlantis steakhouse

This place is one of a kind! I only gave it four out of five stars because of some of the food items that we had ordered. But the service was 10 out of 10. Gary and Jon took such great care of us. It was our anniversary, we received a card and the best treatment ever. My husband had an old-fashioned drink and they made it at the table smoked. We ended up splitting bone in ribeye, mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts. We also had a blue cheese salad. The blue cheese salad was exceptional with little bits of pancetta, Kamala, olives, avocado, radishes, and delicious blue cheese. That salad was also 10 out of 10. The mac & cheese was good, but needed some more flavor. Brussels sprouts needed some salt. They were crispy, but didn't have a lot of taste. The restaurant treated us with some chocolate mousse cake for our anniversary. That was 100% amazing. This restaurant is truly amazing and we will be coming back. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is amazing, and the steak was amazing. They have huge screens showing different places from all around the world. It was fun to watch while we were eating.. the ambience was incredible.

This is a tale of a potato. Yes, I get it, this is a steakhouse. But, I haven't had a steak here…read moreyet. I work next-door and I've only had a couple of things to eat here on the fly. I will be posting a future review on the steak but I felt it necessary to review what I have had. The first day I ate here was the onion rings. Albeit a little pricey, they are the best onion rings you will ever have. They are awesome. Large, crispy, side of ranch or ketchup, I had both. A wow. But then last week I forgot lunch, but I didn't want steak. So I checked the menu and saw they had the fully loaded potato. If you know my reviews you know my wife is the steak eater, I usually get chicken at a steakhouse. Yeah I know. But, always my favorite part of the meal is a loaded potato. Well let me tell you, this place has the best loaded potato I've ever had in my life. And that is saying a lot. My former favorite loaded potato was at a steakhouse in California that is no longer in business. But fear not, as they have been replaced. This was the potato to beat all potatoes. Oh my God it was so good and so loaded with bacon, cheese, and green onions. It is a meal in itself, and I had a second one on Saturday. Yes, I will take the Wife there so she can get a steak and I'll review that, but I am telling you this was freaking awesome. But it doesn't end there. The wait staff is extremely nice and efficient. And to top it off they give you a cookie. And man is that cookie good. Seeing I work next-door I'll be back many times and try many of their things, probably even a steak at some point. But I'm telling you, if you love a baked potato like I do, go no further. I see people eating outdoors here all the time and they're all happy, so come and check it out. You won't be sorry. And don't forget to order that baked potato! OK part two. I took my wife there tonight. She had the ribeye and I had the ribs. The ribs were incredible. They have a really great rub and they are obviously slow roasted to perfection. Fall off the bone perfection. Comes with a little side of barbecue sauce which is really good, but truthfully I don't need it, they were so tasty on their own. I will definitely try them again down the road. But the ribeye steak. Wow wow wow. My wife got the chimichurri with it, and I am telling you this is one of the best steaks you will ever have. It is so flavorful and so soft. It is truly amazing. Although I am not a steak guy per se, this is one of the places I will definitely order a steak and enjoy it. I was truly amazed. Great service, great ambience, great experience all around.

The level of attention was perfect; he wasn't all up in our biz nor did we have to put a BOLO on him. Overcook it and keep cooking it that way? You've lost me for life. I'm thrilled to share that everything was the right temp and flavored REALLY well. We dove in so quickly that I failed to take photos. BONUS: we had arrived during the time when Zive was playing live music which added to an already great ambiance. What an incredibly kind and talented man! This was by far one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. In fact, I'm writing this review while we're still here. I highly recommend BLS!!

That was fine so as soon as we turned around to sit in the lobby, the guy called us and said he happened to find a table for two. So we were sat immediately. This is the busiest I've ever seen this restaurant. Pretty much every table, and they have lots of tables, was full. Braden was our server and he was at our table within five minutes. Considering how busy the place was, that was awesome. He took our drink orders asked if we actually knew what we wanted to eat, which we didn't, and so he went to get our drinks while we looked at the menu. What we ordered: 25 ounce Cadillac margarita Frolic in the sand Shots of tequila (Herradura) 20 ounce prime rib, medium rare Lobster tail Jacketed baked potato Sautéed mushrooms The food arrived quickly. The prime rib was perfect. Lobster, mushrooms. Everything was just so darn good. The star of the show was the server Braden. He was friendly and a little entertaining. Even though the place was super busy, he took the time to talk with us and make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our evening. I will definitely ask for him next time we come in here as he was that good. We ended up going somewhere else later that evening to actually get some food we could eat. I'm really sad that this meal went so poorly when we were trying to celebrate a birthday. We will never be going to this restaurant again. Additional after the fact, the sign outside that advertises the business has been broken for months. One would think that if you were a serious business that you would want to fix that. It reflects on your image. Our server Donovan was charming and made sure the birthday in our party was celebrated (thank you). The food itself was good, but I do have to say that for an a-la-carte menu, I do not feel that it was worth the cost. I ordered the Chilean sea bass with green beans which was priced at $62, and was disappointed when I received a 1x4inch sliver of fish under a measly 5 whole green beans (yes, I counted). Others in my party ordered the short ribs and prawn fettucine, which appeared to be normal sized servings. I enjoyed my food, but felt silly needing to use my fork and knife to try and cut 30 bites out of a 5 bite serving so I didn't finish within 5 minutes. Luckily, people in my party also shared their food with me once they noticed my tiny serving. I had looked at previous pictures of this dish- only one had green beans but even that one looked significantly more substantial than what I was given. At the end of the day, while I enjoyed dining here, I feel strongly that it's severely overpriced for what you get. The sea bass at another comparable Reno steakhouse is currently priced at $52 and not only comes with lobster risotto and creamed spinach, but is also served with soup/salad, vegetables, and another starch.

For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. If you are looking for a luxurious and decadent dinner, this is the restaurant.

There were…read moreplenty of spaces at the bar but the two hostess at the podium said it would be at least a 20 minute wait. We went back at 4:40pm as instructed and still plenty of room in the bar, but yet they still would not see us. It wasn't until I asked if we could just sit down and we would wait for the service even if they were behind at that point, they allowed us to sit at the bar and we were waited on right away with no issue. Adrian knows us and we are very good customers there. I think some things changed in management, Kevin the waiter who has been there since it opened is no longer there and you could feel a different vibe going on in the restaurant. The happy hour menu has changed and my husband's favorite Chardonnay is no longer included, but Adrian bought him a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc which was very tasty for $8. Adrian is a wonderful bartender and we enjoy his service! Sad to hear Jenna moved on too! Why is it all the good people leave, but then you have Quincy at the chandelier bar yelling at customers, not serving customers, telling you he won't serve her until it's convenient for him. Thank goodness Larry was working at the sports bar after happy hour! He is a great guy and works so hard for the casino and his customers!

The eating area is very spacious and commodious. Though this place has a casual vibe, the presentation of the food is totally fine-dining material. Each dish, especially the Citrus glazed salmon, is served as a piece of art. I've been here around three times before I installed yelp, and am excited to finally leave a review. The short rib, was absolutely amazing. The short rib was so tender, and each brussels sprout was a literal flavor bomb. The brussels sprouts I've had at other places have flavor only on the exterior, whereas the brussels sprouts here play a different game. The short rib is served in a really big portion. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. This short rib was a win. Chefs kiss. The truffle lasagna was terrific; so much sauce in between the lasagna layers. I could absolutely make out the truffle flavor in this dish. However, I recommend eating this dish quickly, as the lasagna stiffens really quickly. Thirty minutes after it was served, I went it to take another bite, and it wasn't as good anymore. The ceasar salad +beef is a great choice for a light but filling meal when you're currently on a healthy diet. Each dish here comes in giant portions, but even after you finish this salad, it won't feel too heavy on your body. I think it's because Washoe is really light on the dressing levels; perfecting the amount so it doesn't overtake the fresh flavor of the greens or leave the salad bland and insipid. However, the beef was a bit too well done and on the firmer side. The first time coming here, I was totally shocked to find out that the food they served did not match the relaxed and informal vibe the setting sets up. Not a bad thing at all. Creates a laid-back vibe while still getting high quality food.

Our most recent visit was dinner to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary. It still maintains it's casual atmosphere. The entrance has shifted to the Ridge Street side of the building. A good decision. It always felt a bit cramped to check in in the bar area especially when they are busy. Dining area is now mostly in the back room. While the setting is casual, the food is upscale - including the burgers. They offer game meats, elk, kangaroo, venison, and wild boar, in addition to high end beef and a small selection of seafood. They also have a few vegetarian/vegan options. I had the Citrus Glazed Salmon with root vegetables and squash. It was very good. The salmon was fresh and and flaky and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Rock Candy Short Rib. He deemed it "acceptable" Mine was paired with a light dry Savengon Blanc. Service was good and our satisfaction was checked. I debated between a 4 or 5 star experience - I decided on 5 mostly due to the quality of the meal. Return visit? Yes.

There is still the photographer that comes around to take your photo and print copies for the book. It's fun to still have that older school touch. The only real downside is to have to walk through the casino where it is fairly smoky. The restaurant does not smell like that and the lower ceilings and tiles keep the noise at bay. Unlike other steakhouses, there are plenty of dishes that come with the sides versus al carte. I had the seafood pasta, the scallops were larger and seared well, the crab on top was generous. Overall, delicious flavors. The portion is large and after the bread, salad, sorbet palate cleanser, I couldn't finish it. The bread variety is really yummy and there is a cheesy one and a butter as well as a cheese spread. My parents had the chateaubriand, which they really enjoyed and is really enough for like 3 persons. The Steak House at Western Village is a great place to celebrate an occasion or for a nice date night.

Every single time I come here, I'm gently greeted by a kind face at the front door, I'm immediately sat down and taken care of. I've had the pleasure of meeting Edson my first time here and it makes me happy to see he is still here today, still working hard with the same energy he had those couple years ago when I met him. It's really awesome to see a General Manager running around checking on all the tables with a smile on his face. That's the type of service that's rare nowadays. Don't get me started on the food. I could talk for days about it. Just know you'll never find quality food anywhere else in Reno other than here at Churrascos. What I'm really more impressed with, is the young men running around serving the meat. They are highly knowledgeable of the meat they're serving, they know just the right temperature to pick for you, and they are highly attentive. I've never met the owner but I bet you the owner is proud of the amazing work these guys do. It is damn hard to find workers like that. I am a permanent customer from now on because of my experience with these guys, they all made me feel right at home, seen, and taken care of. Thank you to the GM Edson and his team that night for always making me feel amazing with quality service, and a huge thank you to the owner who brilliantly hired these guys.
