Lamb chop special with mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli with demi-glace and an edible flower.

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversay and chose to splurge at the Cactus Creek Steakhouse. My wife had the pan roast, and I had the lamb chop special, which is not what I meant to get, as I really had my sights set on a ribeye steak. I'm happy with my choice, as the meal was delicious! Our server Alexa was very delightful and attentive, without being overbearing. We were presented with a complimentary desert for our anniversary, which was not only appreciated but very good! The whole staff was very engaging and the whole experience was top notch. Hopefully we can go back without having to wait for a special occasion.

Great food, steak ordered and cooked exactly the way you ask. Great dim lighting and ambience for dinner for two. Excellent service as well. I didn't think bonanza would have a good steak but I was wrong! Check this place out, you won't be disappointed.

I'm fortunate to be treated to this delicious steak house on my birthday, for the past 4 years. The restaurant is quiet and gives a peaceful ambiance, that I'm certain all can appreciate. We have had the same waitress each time and she, along with the rest of the staff, seem to always go the extra mile. I splurged and got the Surf and Turf and BOY WAS IS GOOD! If you like a little spice in your life, I recommend sharing the crab cake to start!

Went in for dinner, we did have a reservation. We were greeted promptly and shown to our table quickly. Within just a few minutes our waitress Debra stopped by to introduce herself, take our drink order and let us know what the specials were. Debra was very sweet and attentive throughout the evening which was very much appreciated. We opted for the calamari special for an appetizer which was lightly breaded and perfectly cooked, the grilled lemon was a nice surprise. We split a bowl of lobster bisque, which had chunks of lobster and was tasty. For dinner my husband had the macadamia nut halibut which he said was excellent and fresh. I had the scallops which were really delicious, the only criticism I would have, would be the orzo medley that was served with my dinner. The mixture of flavors competed with the scallops, instead of complementing it. Next time I would opt for a side of asparagus or white rice. We didn't leave room for dessert tonight, but there is always next time! It was lovely night out, the food and service was delightful.

Had the best dinner last night at the steakhouse. First we started with a cocktail at the bar. David was our bartender. I had a Negroni. The first one was good but he told me he had a special recipe one so I had that for my second cocktail. It was even better than the first!! I highly recommend asked David for his special Negroni. DH had a Moscow mule which he enjoyed! Several people at the bar were eating a yummy looking Turkey dinner. I was tempted to get it but I had my heart set on a steak. For dinner I ordered the blackened Prime rib. It comes with 2 prawns and a yummy sauce. It also has an onion jam with slivers of Granny Smith apples and I think pea sprouts!! It was so good! Tho it was a bit salty for my tastes. I do expect that with anything that's blackened. I also got the French onion soup which was perfect!! Not over salty!! Done just right!! DH had the filet with asparagus. Also so delicious!! He ordered a pumpkin cheese cake. It wasn't on the menu but came with the Turkey dinner. I ordered a glass of the Segheso Zin. A really fantastic wine! It went especially well with the blackened prime rib. I had brought gift cards at Costco. So the meal wasn't that expensive for what we got!! Service was wonderful!! I have to say I think Cactus Creek is just as good as Western Village which is my benchmark for great steaks in the Reno area.

Food was fun and entertaining to eat! Service was clear, sweet, and attentive. Ambiance was western, calm, and sexy too. We had a great date night- we were such gracious guests that they bought us dessert!! We loved the homemade butter variety and great booth.

Our server was amazing. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I had the lobster with a side of asparagus and it was fabulous. My husband and brother in law got soup and salad. Our server brought us tasters of the tomato basil soup which was amazing. The boys got steak and we celebrated my in laws 27th anniversary and they brought them a sorbet with fresh strawberries and whip cream. We all split a cannoli. We brought our own wine and paid a cork fee. Everything was amazing!

Our first time eating here and we were very impressed with everything. The food was amazing and the service from Debra was above and beyond! I Wish we had known about this place sooner! We found our new favorite place and will always ask for Debra, she was genuinely kind, patient, and definitely made us want to keep coming back! The ambiance is everything, very beautiful place.

First time eating here, hubby wanted to try it for his birthday. Despite having a reservation it took a few minutes to seat us, once sat we were brought waters and some bread rolls that came with a sundried tomato, pesto and whipped butters. The bread was okay but I've had better. We had our drink order taken and it seemed to take about 20 min to get drinks back to us. Our server then took the order for our appetizer which we ordered the jalapeno polenta pork belly, ( I was too excited and put my portion in a plate before taking pictures).I highly recommend the pork belly app. After about 30 min our server came back and took out entree order. We got a ribeye and filet with a side of mushrooms and garlic Parmesan steak fries. The steaks were juicy but I ordered the blasphemous mid well ( texture issues with me) it did come out more on the medium side which was okay as it wasn't too under done for my liking. The hubby enjoyed his filet which was mid rare and that too came out a bit underdone. The garlic parm fries were delicious. The ambiance has a native western decor style so it doesn't appear upscale but the taste of the food says otherwise. It would have been nice if the service was a bit better as they weren't that busy ( I may just be used to other places rushing to get custom and out) they def did not rush us here. All in all of most likely come back so I can try some other items on the menu. They also provided a free bday dessert for the hubby which was a marscopne cake that was light and fluffy but very dense and heavy at the same time. The compote they topped it with was delicious, a bit more marscopne or whipped cream would have made it even better.

We always look forward to coming back! Our server Leo is amazing and always makes it worth it!

For a small bowl of clearly watered-down clam chowder that didn't seem fresh - and somehow cost around $20, more than some of the best clam chowders at well-known coastal seafood establishments - I'm annoyed enough to write a Yelp review, which I rarely do unless I'm especially impressed or especially offended. We really wanted to like all of the food items that we got, but it was not good at all. The only thing we really liked were the French fries and what seemed to be house made ranch. The appetizer we chose were the mozzarella sticks which were not great, the warm marinara was good though. So then I had high hopes for my lunch item, the chicken parmesan sandwich, and it couldn't have been more of a let down. Maybe it was the type of breading used to coat the chicken, but it was soggy and became a texture issue for me. My fiancée had the fish and chips, not the most horrible fish in the world, but definitely not the best, and not worth the price. And then lastly the "chocolate cake" which is more like a spongy brownie, will not be something i choose again. I guess it was another textural thing, but I couldn't take more than a couple of small bites. I'm also really not a fan of fudgy brownies. I was hoping for a chocolate cake, and this was not it at all. I'm disappointed with our visit especially for the price we paid. Again this sucks to give such a terrible review for this place. We really wanted to like it. Our server was great, super nice, and accommodating. Everything was nice and clean. I absolutely love the theme and decor! Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

It is also airy, light, and crispy. The crunch of the fish shattered lightly when you bite it without sticking heavily in your teeth. They also use a clean oil when frying the fish -- unlike other fish and chips I had in Lake Tahoe, burnt and the batter tasted old. The cod fish was hot, juicy, and flaky -- it really tasted good. I squeezed them with lemon and dip it in vinegar. Satisfyingly good! The clam chowder is packed with clam and not too heavily creamy -- it is just right. It brought back the time when I had a bowl of clam chowder in a restaurant in Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is bright and clean, so I will really recommend it! Also it is interesting that this restaurant is surrounded by fast food chain, if I were you, dine in here than eat a very unhealthy fast food burgers and fries.

Served hot (how I prefer it), the chowder was full of flavor with Clams, Potatoes and I think some mushroom. I thought the texture had a nice creaminess to it. Some in our party didn't care for it, but for me, I thought it was pretty good. A friend had the Ceviche. A couple of Shrimp top the dish, but it is mostly tiny bay shrimp. Other than the larger shrimp, the dish was unremarkable and not worth the money. We moved on to the fried zucchini. This dish was fresh from the fryer and served freakin' hot. And I do mean freakin hot. The dish was fine, but a tad bit on the oily side. More on that later. All of the starters are just a fancy lead up to the main course. If you're going to do something well, it better be what you are known for. Smee's use 100% WILD ALASKA COD "Hook & Line", received from their Alaskan Leader fishing fleet. The fish is made fresh on every order. I will say the "fish" was pretty good, but I think the oil was either old or not at the righ temperature because the resulting dish was oily and just plain soggy. While served hot, it was a doughy, soggy mess. We hoped for more but Smee's did not deliver.
