Tips: CASHLESS PARK make sure you bring a debit card or you'll have to get a prepaid debit card at one of the 2 kiosks in the park, buy your ticket online for discounts & to skip the long line to get in! Do not bring your own floaties but DO bring water shoes! The Park Went to wild rivers for Mother's Day since mothers got in for free! I've never heard of any amusement or water park that does this, it was such a nice treat. Wild rivers is always super fun but I took my son with me for his first time so I was most excited for the water park playground but it was closed when we got there which was pretty dumb to do considering a bunch of moms we're gonna be there with their kids the only options for toddlers was the park and the lazy river. The service The staff is mostly made up by young teens which is fine they are extremely kind & willing to help! I only needed assistance 3 times and every employee was more than helpful. :) Overall The park was very clean, I felt safe with the life guards, I had fun and felt special during Mother's Day. We are passholders at Soak City, but we ventured out to Wild Rivers to check it out. We came for the $40 for 4-7pm special. When we approached the parking area, I saw that it was $5 more expensive than it was online. I pulled over and bought everything in the car. This was for the best, since these special deal tickets aren't available at the window. Parking was easy and a close walk. We went right up to the entrance. Unfortunately, we had to go back to the window, because free senior citizens need to get verified there and can't just walk in with everyone else. That took a little time, so keep that in mind. The bracelets were a nice touch, but when I went to buy food, mine didn't work. That was a shame. Also, the food was mediocre. We weren't there for that, though. There are two toddler areas, and we only managed to do one while there. This was the one with all the toddler slides and swings. My daughter loved it all, and she was on a cyclical course the whole time, nonstop. My son was scared of the slides until the last ten minutes (of course), and by that time it was too late for him to go more than twice. I was sad about that, but he still had fun. Unlike Soak City, there are TONS of slides for those 36" tall. Even though we're back at Knott's, my daughter still asks for the other park. The summer is about over, but I'm sure we'll return next year, at least once. Oh, and when they close, they really close. The workers all jump in the water and herd everyone out. Be prepared. The only issue with this waterpark is that they don't have enough chairs to place your things down so for a family with kids it can be inconvenient on a weekend. However they do have lockers. I don't know what it's like on weekdays, perhaps less busy and you can find more seating. There were two main kiddie areas, but I noticed that the one for the older kids had colder water but was super fun nonetheless. We mainly stuck to the small kiddie area. Fun rides. Welcome back home Wild Rivers! I celebrated countless birthdays at Wild Rivers in the early 2000s so was so sad to see them close in 2011. However, all hope was not lost and they are back and newly renovated! This new location is at the Great Park in Irvine. Ample of parking which is nice but on the pricier side ($20 for pre-purchase or $25 at the gate). If you are an Irvine local recommend drop off If you want to save some bucks. Otherwise, reservations are currently required. They do update tickets on the website in real time so you may be able to purchase day of. Please give the ticket staff some grace as it seems several of them were having difficulty scanning barcodes, etc. It is a soft opening week July 10-17th so they are working out the kinks. I do recommend trying to shade the barcode on your phone which seems to work better with the scanner. Currently General admission is $60 per person for adults and juniors(under 48 inches)are $40. Anyone under 3 is free and anyone over 65 as well. The park itself is beautiful, clean and so new! It was exciting to experience this park firsthand because it was so new! Keep in mind soft opening does mean not all rides open due to them not being completed but still a solid amount available! We got there right at 10am and left around 3pm. We were able to experience all rides with minimal wait which I'm sure will be much different once the word gets out that they are open! The wave pool is iconic and the highlight of our visit! The lazy river was lackluster for myself as it was 2.5 feet deep with no waterfalls or theme. Tomcat riders was my favorite ride. Speed racing on the mat was so fun! Bombay blasters was my favorite back in the day still very fun and landing in a 9ft pool is refreshing! There are currently 4 slides that are double tube rider and they are equally fun! Two family style rafts are running and I definitely underestimated them. They both had some kick/stomach drops to them, lol! The children tiki area is so cute--I can see the littles enjoying the day there. Cute little baby slides, water guns, waterfalls, etc. All the staff was so welcoming, genuine and happy to be there. Kudos to the staff for being attentive! Tips- lockers $18-25(take card/cash) are all day. Minimal food onsite so check the website when the cafe opens. Once the cafe opens outside food won't be allowed but for the soft opening outside food/drinks ok. There is re- entry allowed which is nice! Also recommend water shoes by all means- lots of bees and hot pavement. Can't imagine stepping on a bee or burning feet to be enjoyable--thank me later! read more

I really enjoyed my time here at Wild Rivers with my son and nephews. First of all I loved how manageable the park was. Not big and not too small either. I think it had the right amount of rides to have a fun day. The park is new and very clean. Lots of restrooms and changing rooms. The water was pretty clean specially at the lazy river and the pool where at other parks you can't even get in after a few hours. It gets so yellow ... since it's wasn't a busy day we got to go on every ride and spend a lot of time at the pool and the lazy river. Overall we had an awesome time and will be back again next summer. The reason for a 4 star review is for the price. Considering the size and ride options at the park the prices are high. We paid $64 for each ticket plus $25 for parking. And they were open for 6 hours (from 12-6) read more

I found this waterpark on instagram so glad I did. I just visited yesterday and had to run to make a review. I bought tickets prior to visiting which saves you money. I recommend arriving to the park early. I arrived 15 minutes ahead of time and there was already a line. They let you in but you can't ride on anything but you can atleast put your things in the locker. The locker was $23 for all day which isnt bad. I recommend getting there and riding all the slides as the lines do get long. My family and I are waterpark people and this one has the best slides. They also have the most slides I've seen. The lazy river was really nice. The wave pool was amazing the waves were huge. This park has something for everyone there is a section for the younger kids as well. We were given vouchers for participating in an activity so we were able to get some sweets. The pineapple mango whip was so good ! At the end we stopped for quick food. I like that the food is already prepared so you can grab pay and go. The staff here are very friendly. The park was clean. Just watch for the bees that was the only thing. I seen them everywhere and someone did get stung. If you are thinking about visiting you definitely should. We will definitely be back and I hope we have the same experience. read more

Did you grow up with the original Wild Rivers? I did and it was very nostalgic to visit with my own kids. They loved it. It didn't feel crowded and we had a good time. My only real complaints are that it is really expensive and there are tons of bees. During the regular summer season, a ticket is the price of visiting the San Diego Zoo or a theme park PLUS they don't allow outside food and you have to pay for parking. For a family of 4, expect to spend about $300. The season passes are definitely worth it. In regard to the bees, I get it. There are bees. But they have open top or side trash cans and the bees swarm them. I saw at least 3 kids crying after being stung throwing away their trash. They need to have more proactive custodial to clean up the sugary spills and trash cans that close like other theme parks have to prevent swarming. The kids areas are super fun. The Lazy River is awesome but really shallow (was it always only 2 feet deep). The wave pool is fantastic. And the bigger slides/raft rides are thrilling. Water is cold but it's fine in the summer heat. read more

Wild rivers is such a good place. They have good food and good water slides also the lazy river and wave pool is very fun. So fun.

I got a Cabana for three hundred dollars and all the gave me were two chairs. Two kids were also drowning in the wave pool next to the lifeguard and were doing nothing about it. A lifeguard said that they were going to let us in after the wave pool ended but they didn't and we had to wait in line for another 15 minutes in the burning sun, our feet were on fire. The only good things were the slides and the lazy river, slides 10/10, lazy river 10/10. read more

If I am basing it on the venue itself...I would probably give a a solid 4 stars. The rides are fun and honestly with Groupon deal the park ticket price is very affordable. With Groupon coupon we paid about $40 per person. It's suitable for teens, little kids and even adults. There are plenty of shades and sitting areas. So why the 3 stars you say...?? It comes down to safety. One of the kids in our group stepped on a piece of glass which was obviously a beer bottle. I do not know how a park where guests mostly walk around barefoot (especially children) can let this slide. The bag should have been checked inch by inch and unfortunately it's one of those incidents stupid adults ruin it for the kids. The staff did mention they check but according to his words "we can't check for everything and people are clever about sneaking it in". I was bit puzzled by his reaction. The medics came but they were useless. They could not get the glass out. All they could provide us with was alcohol pads. Luckily someone near you had a tweezer where one of the moms pulled it out (again the medic was useless) and the medic offered another alcohol pads and a band aid. We confronted the staff that the bad check needs to take it up a notch because finding a broken beer glass is simply unacceptable. It was end of the day and we were leaving so we left it some words of wisdom to the staff. Whether it made it difference or not I really do hope they take this matter seriously and do a more thorough bag search. read more

I came here a few weeks ago with my fiancé and we had a great time but wish we had more time. The following week we went back and took some friends and it was perfect! The park was nearly empty because all the kids were back in school and the weather was warm and perfect for the water. Went back again for my son's birthday. We had a really great experience. My husband's sunglasses fell off on one point and an employee went above and beyond to find them for him. He's was incredibly helpful and kind. We also found their food selection to be great and affordable. I also REALLY appreciate that they have a picnic section for families that have to bring their own food. We have a child with food intolerances and had to bring his lunch and eat outside the park, but the picnic area was great. Finally, their safety measures are second to none. The employees go to great lengths to ensure people enter each slide correctly, the rafts are balanced, etc. They also have one lifeguard at the top and one at the bottom and signal to each other when it's safe for the next person to go. That's more important than anything. This time there were plenty of chairs too. Overall, I'm not personally a fan of crowds and communal water experiences, but if I have to do it for my son, this is our go-to place. read more

I haven't been to a waterpark since I was a kid. I tried to look up info on the Wild rivers website and I wish more things were clearly stated. We did bring unopened water bottles in and they let us. We waited in line for a ride only to find out AT THE TOP that they weigh you! Yes, you have to get on a scale to ride. I think this should be done before you wait in line. Anyway, for one of the double rides its 110-300 lbs for one rider or combine weight of 400lbs for 2 riders. Also, I was wearing my shoes because the ground was hot and I had to hold them, my sunglasses, and my phone (which I had on a lanyard around my neck, but I guess its a strangulation hazard). Just be prepared to hold all your things. On another ride, someone's hat flew off and they had to stop the ride to retrieve it. We set up our things by the wave pool and they have safety breaks every hour. One time they seemed to be doing rescue training and had it closed for 45 mins. Yes, there are also loads of bees everywhere. The stagnant water everywhere has swarms of bees. The kids liked it, but even going when they opened we rode 3 rides in 3 hours. I guess sometimes its 3 hours wait per ride. It doesn't seem worth it to me. Some people said the summer pass is the way to go to get to try more rides. Maybe when the kids are older and can go solo. Park is understaffed and the employees are poorly trained. Bought a season pass online and highly regretted it. First, parking is inefficient and expensive. Two lines for both prepaid and on the spot paid parking. Took forever to get into the parking lot. Staff is rude. The staff at the ticket line to get the poorly made season pass bracelets is also rude. Feels like a bunch of high school kids run the front. No one knows anything and when they do get a question, you don't get a reasonable answer. And did i mention, they are rude? Customer service is not their priority. Rented a cabana .. overpriced and very very basic. Food is worse than the most basic food court fare. Service is slow and omg the price of water and soda .. 4 bottles for $28 .. at least, the server is nice. Gratuity is automatic at 18%. I can see why otherwise these servers wouldn't get any tips because of the inedible food and kitchen prep is slow. The park itself is one big parking lot of lines and uncomfortable lawn chairs. Rides were not impressive and boring. Overall, do NOT make the mistake of purchasing a season pass until you give it a try. Apparently, there are always deals on Groupon. Get that first, before even thinking of buying a season pass. This park is a hard pass. Spend your money elsewhere read more

Went there today for the second time. It's off season now so it's an awesome time to go (and price is right). Barely any waiting for rides! It was great to be able to run on most rides. There's a ton of lifeguards which I love and the two toddler areas are fantastic, my 2 year old went down the slides like 75 times. My only complaint (and it's a big one) is that the water is freezing now that it's off-season. So while we wanted to go in so many pools, we were just so darn cold from the water. Not sure why they don't just heat the water since it's the main attraction! read more

OG Wild Rivers fan, so I had been dying to try it out. The reviews made me had medium to low expectations, but Wild Rivers exceeded them. Getting in was quick and easy, got there right when they opened at 10. Parking was easy, but $25 unless you pay $20 online beforehand. You can attach your card to your wristband and at the Mustang Bar they can ID you to get a 21+ wristband so you don't have to carry around your ID and card if you plan to drink. If you get there at opening, go straight to the chairs to put your towel down, they got taken up pretty quick. We bought a locker, but it was $18 for a large locker (not a jumbo) so it's not cheap. Next time We will probably just run in put a towel down, get our 21+ wristband and run our stuff back to the car (re-entry is okay) so we don't have to pay for a locker. It was busy, but all the lines moved pretty quick. HIGHLY recommend doing the Pelican Plunge Aquacoaster FIRST. You have to have a specific tube and that line took us about an hour and a half around 3pm. It was miserable. Knock out the two seater slides first, because other slides are 4-6 seaters and the line moves quick. We had a blast and everything exceeded my expectations, however, to my cons: The kids running the rides were not efficient nor did they care about how the lines went (which were also confusing as there are like 2-5 rides per platform with no direction for the line), kids were cutting left and right and had to call them out (great job raising your kids parents), the lazy river is 30" deep and there are NOT enough tubes at any point. They need more. Some tips: Bring Water-shoes, the pavement is super hot, bar drinks range from $13-18, food is pretty decent and average priced, but bring a cooler and pack lunches and beverages and just go out to your car instead. Definitely worth going and can't wait to go back. read more

Fun at Wild River but expect crowds and costs My kids had a blast, but there were some downsides to our visit too. The best part was seeing my little ones light up as they played in the kiddie pools and slid down the tiny slides made just for them. The bigger rides were a hit with my older kids as well. However, the long lines for the popular rides were really frustrating, such LONG waits which wasn't even worth it. The food situation was another let-down. Everything inside the park was very overpriced, and the quality wasn't great. Plus, you can't even bring in your own snacks or drinks, not even water. Overall, Wild rivers has a lot of fun rides. But be prepared for big crowds and high costs if you visit. I'd recommend going early to beat the lines. read more

Gosh, this place reminds me so much of my childhood when it was open. Now that we live in Irvine, we had to check it out since they reopened in May. My visit this week was a 5/5! Only gripe is that they didn't have a lot of food options but didn't really expect much for a water park. ARRIVAL: check in is easy. Had the tickets on my phone and we scanned right in. Kids that are working here were all pretty helpful and friendly. We received wristbands and you can also set them up to be a payment method (no phone, wallet or credit cards for the remainder of the day!) that's pretty neat. RIDES: besides the Pelican Plunge (which, don't let anyone tell you isn't the best ride at the park), wait times were pretty decent for all rides. They're all slide-based of course. No straight drops or Supreme-Scream style rides thankfully. My favorite ones were Pelican Plunge, the racing ones, and Typhoon. When you're up in line waiting for Typhoon, there's a blue slide up there called Aquaconda - not that great, just wait for the Typhoon because it's better. Lazy River was awesome. Pretty crowded for the first half of the day and winded down after 5pm. FOOD & DRINKS: we had pizza, chicken tenders, and funnel cake fries. Funnel cake fries were GOOOOOD and I added ice cream on top. Tenders and fries were very salty but bearable. Bar drinks: they ran out of light beers really fast so definitely grab them while you have time. The bar wait lines get super long and we ended up waiting 30 min to order at one point. Cocktails are nothing special, bartenders are blending a lot of drinks which is why there is a wait. Overall, a fun experience and we hit all but 2 slides and the Wave Pool area (too crowded) in less than 6 hours. read more

This review is specific to a manager that helped us today. Bends went above and beyond to make a sticky situation just awesome for me and my family. Long story short, glitch in the system (could have been my credit card) had me charged twice. Emailed on Wednesday going to the park Friday. As I walked in Brenda called me and said I am about to issue your refund. I asked her to isolated to see if a cabana was available. As we speak my family and I are at a VIP cabana in the park being treated fabulously with an abundance of service and care. Wild rivers slides/wave pool/lazy river were all fun . We went for my daughter's 7th birthday . The only thing I would suggest to anyone going would be NOT to purchase a cabana , there is no relaxation whatsoever, there are a ton of bees swarming inside . I spent $350 on the cabana just to avoid it all cost due to the bees ... also we ordered platters in advance like they asked of us and it took 2 hours for them to come , and to come cold . The prices are very expensive but I wanted a great experience so I went all out . Just to be disappointed in not being able to rest a little ( because I am very pregnant) in the $350 cabana .. I will not rate it low because the other parts were fun . So my star rating is solely based on the water slides/wave pool ... cabana , service , platters would be a 0 star rating . read more

I thought security went through my bag a to check for weapons like Disneyland does. Instead, they took out my water bottles and Gatorade instead, and said I couldn't bring it in the park. Perfect place to cool off during the hot summer days, they have fun slides, for big kids and the little kids, the food was very good and tasty, and my personal favorite slide has to be Mano and tala in the corner of the park. Just a wonderful waterpark in general 10/10. read more

Lazy river and playground are never open which are the best part of the park. When you ask when to come so that they will be open. No staff can give a clear answer. Would reccomend calling ahead if you plan to visit to see if the full park is accessible. Kind of upsetting that tickets are the same prices regardless. I've been hearing about this waterpark for a while, so I decided to check it out with my family. The park is impressively clean and easy to navigate, and the crowd was pleasant. While some of the kiddie pools were a bit cold, it was actually refreshing on such a hot day. The wave pool was a blast, but unfortunately, we didn't get to try any of the bigger slides due to the large crowd. I thought with most kids back in school, it wouldn't be so busy, but I was definitely wrong. As for the food, I can't recommend it. We ordered a whole pizza for $30, and it was undercooked. Since outside food isn't allowed, it feels like they're making a lot of money from overpriced, low-quality options. However, the drinks were good, and the staff was great, which helped make the day enjoyable. My daughter and I decided to go on a Thursday with my 2 grandchildren. We thought it would be nice to have a Cabana to stay a bit cooler and out of the sun. And another bonus was that it had a safe and cooler it said on the website. When we arrived the Cabana was super hot, absolutely no wind flow what so ever. The cooler did not work and the safe would not open. Also we were attacked by mosquitos who I guess lived in the Cabana. The park itself is fun but the Cabana was a waste of money it was nicer outside of the Cabana. read more

Was also nice and I think that both of them are really good at there jobs including all the other life guards that work at wild rivers. One worker that was really nice and let me and my friend on a slide one more time before the park closed was Solone she really made the trip to wild rivers extra fun for me and my friend including the other 3 workers. We LOVED this water park. Seriously the best water park I have ever been to (soak city/raging waters/hurricane harbor/OG wild rivers). Everything is still so new and sparkly clean. We came on a Tuesday and the lines were short, moved fast and some had no lines at all. Definitely recommend coming on a day early in the week. This park does not help handicap people, it's actually part of their rules not to help the handicapped. I went to one of the workers and I explained my handicap and if there was anyway to get on the slid easier and quicker because my illness doesn't allow me to stand long periods in line, I could pass out. on the loud speaker they stated we don't help handicapped people but we can giver her crackers and gatoraid. That was such an insult to hear that. It felt as though they were making fun of me and my illness that handicaps me. I was so upset they said that. omg what can i say we came here for 4th of july 2025 and had an amazing time with friends 4 families total around 5 smaller kids ages 7-9 and two teens age 14 they had so much fun we didn't even have to be chasing them around because they knew what pools where perfect for them to be in without it being dangerous the lazy river is about 2.5 ft perfect for the 7 yr olds to walk in standing up and not to say the alcohol for the adults is on point the bar is crazy good with great cocktails dont forget ur id for the 21 and over wrist band they also serve shots!!!! we had so much fun was also just right not crowded for 4th of july read more
