Honestly, didn't expect to find such yummy Thai food in Bend! This was a recommendation from our Airbnb host and I'm so glad we went! I was overwhelmed by the menu. I appreciate that it's descriptive, but I've never seen a menu with so many words! We ended up ordering the papaya salad and the street noodles. The portion sizes ended up being huge, and it was more than enough to fill the both of us up. I'd highly recommend the street noodles. The addition of the lettuce made the noodles taste super fresh and not oily. We walked in without reservations, and were able to be seated right away at the bar. This is pretty much my favorite Thai restaurant on the entire west coast. And I pretty much never get anything but the Khao Soi Curry every time we go. We went again, when visiting Bend last week and I swear it was even better than ever. I don't know how that is possible, but it was soooooo good! It's flavorful and was full of chicken. My husband had the Hot Basil Pork this time & LOVED it too. It was a bit spicy for me, but he loved that the spicyness had a lot of flavor & wasn't just hot to be hot. The current lockdown situation had us request a reservation the day prior - their website tells you how- but worked out well. We were seated promptly upon our arrival & service was very prompt, helpful & friendly. Our meals came our so quickly, I was very surprised. If you don't want to wait or make a reservation, try coming at an off hour... we were seated right away at 4pm on a Sunday! Luke, our waiter, made our experience exceptional. Since this was our first time, he graciously gave us an overview from the starters to the entrees. He let us know which dishes were the most popular and which were house favorites. The Thai iced tea had the perfect sweetness. Some other teas I've had before had too much sugar. I really liked the mushrooms in the Tom Kha soup. The curry flavor in the Curry Basil Noodles flavor had the perfect saturation, and wasn't too overpowering. Luke said the Khao Soi dish was mind blowing.. and I couldn't agree more. I think I would fly across the country again to have the Curry basil noodle. The spiciness can be adjusted per your request. I order a mild one, and it was perfect for my lunch. In the same week, I came back for dinner. Restaurant seems to be pretty full during dinner times. At 5:45pm on a Wednesday night, the only seats were bar seats. Unfortunately it was extremely sweet with all coconut not like the Tom kah I'm used to with a good mix of tang and spicy with a little sweet coconut taste. The food was just amazing. Outside of Thailand this must be the most authentic and flavorful Thai food. Place is super busy and reservations is recommended. We arrived at 7:15 PM on a weekday and were given a slot for table at 8:00 PM. There were a lot of parties who had to be turned away as they were at full capacity. Food as I mentioned , was amazing. My husband and I were recommended this place on a spur of the moment trip to Bend. I'm not a huge Thai-food person, so I shrugged off the suggestion. However, while shopping downtown later in the day, several other locals recommended it, and so we acquiesced and decided to try it out. This was hands down the best Thai food I've ever had. Our server's name was Keegan, and he was super knowledgeable about the menu which was a huge plus if you're a picky vegetarian (like me). Try Grandpa's Tom Kha soup... 12/10! Used to be the best Thai in Bend:( Have eaten here many times and ordered most of the menu. Over the past few months I have noticed the quality of the food has not been the best. The last two times menu items have been lacking flavor, heavy and don't sit well after the meal. I have been to this restaurant several times. Lunch food was the best as I don't think the cooks are so stressed. Dinner food gets skimped on probably because they are so busy and rushed. Despite knowing the dinner food is not as good as lunch, I decided to order take out while guests were here. Bad idea.......their on line order system was shut down so we had to call in our order. We were told we could only order at that exact time (5:00 pm) and pick up in 20 minutes. We were told if we call back later they would not be taking to go orders. So now or never.......Ok... We ordered 4 different dishes.....one was the Street Noodles which are usually excellent. Awful....almost no lettuce, one little piece of egg, and the noodles were soggy. It was sad...... Another dish we asked for #1 spice and it was almost too hot to enjoy. I think this is a good place to eat, however don't order on a Friday for take out or go for dinner when they are busy. I've lived in Bend since 2015 and think that Wild Rose is our best restaurant. The food is great every time. My son spent a semester in college throughout Thailand and said that the best Thai food he's ever eaten is Wild Rose. My favorite is the street noodles with seafood. Khan Sai curry is delicious. They are owned by the same family as SEN so many of the menu items are the same. The flavors are so delicious. They do not have a robust beer/cider list but decent wine and some cocktails. There is also classy glass/plastic dividers between tables which creates additional safety and privacy. There's nothing bad here so definitely come, eat and plan to take food to go. read more

Best Thai food I've ever had, we had the Tom Kha soup to share, the Yum Khao Tod with Naam (crispy fried rice) which was all of our favorite, the pork larb and the Pad Mamuang with beef off the lunch menu. I'm visiting from out of town and so happy to have found this place, I leave tomorrow and we're going for lunch again today! They were very busy but the service was great and our food came out quick, our server was Keagan and he did a wonderful job of explaining any questions I had with the menu and helping with the spice levels. We got here on a Thursday night I think and it was obviously packed. We waited about 20 minutes and sat at the bar. The bartender was great, professional with good recommendations. We ordered the green curry with tofu and the seafood stir fry. The food came quick and was fresh and delicious. The serving size was large so we both had lunch the next day. Super popular downtown restaurant that doesn't take reservations for small parties (such as our three). So, expect a wait. On a late September Sunday at 5:30, we waited about 15 minutes. Our assigned table was not the best, but you get what you get. - Sukiyaki: haven't had this dish in ages. WR's version is quite good. Ordered with chicken, it's a bit spicy but not too much if you like your food picante. - Curry basil noodles: a standard Thai dish. WR's version is good. - Thangwa: a cucumber egg small plate. Interesting but not terribly flavorful. - Khana Fai Dang: broccolini, nothing particularly special here but it's prepared well and is tasty. This is a good side dish. - Tom Kha soup: also a standard Thai dish but WR's version is more interesting than most and perhaps a little less heart attack inducing than most. We ordered it with tofu in deference to the vegetarian at the table, which works well. Large tofu chunks. Very good soup. - Spice tray: love it! Five different condiments to add flavor and heat to your food. If you're not tolerant of hot spices, use with caution. They have lots of drinks, including local craft beer. Service is outstanding. The food is really good, highly recommend their muscles and crab fried rice! They make great cocktails and the servers are good. Only negative is that they will sometimes rush service, bringing out the main courses with drinks and apps. The little lady at the door can be rude, don't let that turn you away. read more
