We had a lovely dinner outdoors at one of the picnic tables, under the trees, offering a perfect break from the day's heat. Our dogs enjoyed the shaded garden, making it a relaxing evening for all. We started with the bruschetta, one of the day's specials, and it was absolutely delicious. I had the wild thyme salad with a chickpea cake, which had a curry flavor and wasn't fried--a great, light addition. The sauce was on the side, but it was so light and the salad large enough that we used it all. My partner's Mediterranean salad with chicken was equally satisfying. Our son ordered pasta from the kids' menu, which ended up too bland for his taste, but the staff kindly brought over their tomato sauce, similar to what we had with the bruschetta, which was a lighter, fresh take on the usual. We arrived in Springdale on a Thursday afternoon, and on the way in, we noticed an apple orchard with a restaurant that immediately caught our eye. The atmosphere and views were hard to pass up. The food was great, and the service matched--overall a wonderful experience, mostly thanks to the ambiance. Because of that, we decided to return and try Wild Thyme again on Saturday. Unfortunately, had I known how disappointing it would be, I would've opted for the Subway in town instead. While the food itself was still good, the service was deeply lacking. Our waiter spoke to us only three times: to take our order, to drop off the dessert menu, and to bring a payment tablet. Our food was brought out by a different staff member, and at no point were we asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything else--not even a drink refill. What made the experience even more frustrating was watching the same waiter check in regularly with another table nearby. I'm not sure if the lack of attention was because the 20% gratuity was already included in our bill, or if it was because we spoke a different language--but either way, the difference in treatment was clear and disheartening. I'm giving Wild Thyme Cafe 3 stars: one for the view and atmosphere, and 2 for the food. If you choose to dine here, I suggest keeping your party small enough that the auto-gratuity isn't applied--perhaps then, the staff might make more of an effort read more

This charming restaurant is situated in beautiful spot with lush green grass and the rocks of Zion national park in the distance. They accommodated our party of 11 with a large table outside and the service was excellent. Everyone loved the salmon cakes (although I couldn't eat them because I'm gluten free). There were numerous options for me and I ultimately decided on the salmon. It was cooked to perfection and served with fresh vegetable. Someone else ordered some excellent potatoes.
