    Pistachio chicken
    Claudia E.

This was our favorite place that we ate at in the Zion National Park area the few days we were there. We had been overall pretty disappointed in the food, and we were hoping this place would be different. We were pleasantly surprised! It was a little bit of a wait, but the area around the locale is very cute and rustic farm peaceful, so we didn't mind. For our meals, we got the pistachio chicken and the curry. The chicken was unique and enjoyable. The curry was my husband's choice, and while I would not have opted for a curry in this restaurant, it was better than I expected. Like I said, the locale was very cute and westerny. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would come here first if I was in the area again!

Really great lunch spot maybe just 3-4 miles away from the Zion park entrance. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and high chairs for the little ones. They had a few great options on the kids menu and it was so sweet of the staff to give the kids some silly string type toys to keep them preoccupied. I didn't try the libations but others in my party said they were delicious. I enjoyed my ultimate grilled cheese which contained so much pulled pork it hardly resembled a grilled cheese! The smashed home style potatoes with lots of thyme was also tasty but I couldn't eat it all because of the huge amount of salt that made me thirsty. Would absolutely recommend to stop by for those visiting Zion.

Death by Chocolate dessert, Cocktail & Mocktail

My husband and I stopped by here for a treat after hiking around Zion, and it did not disappoint!! They have amazing cocktail & mocktail selections. When we first got sat, we smelt the most delicious smell (our server told us they were baking a fresh batch of cake)... so of course we had to indulge. Their death by chocolate dessert was fantastic and was GLUTEN FREE!! On top of that, this place has amazing views, greenery & songbirds all around. We will definitely be back!

    Pistachio crusted Chicken

One of the best restaurants otw and near Zion. I usually do not order chicken at restaurants, but the pistachio-crusted chicken was a standout and absolutely worth it... it did not disappoint! The chicken was juicy and tender with a perfectly crisp pistachio crust, and the sauce complemented it beautifully. The potatoes were also deliciously crispy. Ribeye was great and perfectly seasoned and cooked too! The restaurant is pet-friendly and has outdoor heaters, which was a huge plus during the cold. Our waitress was incredibly kind and even brought my doggo some bacon! We were even contemplating going again the next night but ended up trying something new. Would def come back again when I'm in the area !

The view was amazing and the hostess went out of her way to give our baby cherries that she wanted. But that was about where the positives ended. The Thyme pasta was supposed to be angel hair pasta but it was so soggy that the noodle was fat, breaking apart. The rest of food we ordered was so bland and average. To top it off the server charged us 20% gratuity when we were 2 adults and 1 baby. There was no signage about auto gratuity so we were not informed prior. He didn't fill up our water or ever came by to ask if everything was ok. I would never visit this place unless you want terrible service, terrible food and auto gratuity.

    Wild sliders.

The ambience was great, the service was great, the drinks were great, but unfortunately the food was very mediocre. Everything was very under seasoned and pretty bland. The pasta just tasted like noodle water, the steak had no flavor other than the butter, and the chicken was kind of dry. I will say the sliders were good though. Sitting outside was peaceful. I'd go back for a salad and some wine.

A beautiful backdrop of Zion NP awaits you if you are dining outside or inside. We arrived for a late lunch so the restaurant was not very busy and we were seated and served very quickly. Now on to the food not only is the presentation fantastic but the dishes were truly delicious. If you are going to or leaving Zion make this a stop as you will not regret it.

Sooo ... everyone knows Springdale has become very touristy (trappy), right - it's pretty awful with stupid high prices for mediocre hotels, huge crowds of wandering souls - and this is not high season. Can't imagine high season! Our respite (twice) was Wild Thyme ... great service, calm, super food, a menu with something for everyone. We tried other restaurants in Springdale - pretty overwrought, overpriced and awful. Wild Thyme was just right!

Food was fantastic! If you're coming around 6:30-8:30 pm be prepared to wait. It's a minimum 45 min wait. Tip:join the waitlist online! Service was friendly but it's a wait.

Mediterranean salad, made into a wrap

This is a gem! The pistachio chicken I got is sooo memorable and the Mediterranean wrap that my fiancé got was light and healthy while being yummy as well. The location is lovely, as it has mountain and orchard views. Definitely sit outside if you can! They have misters to keep you cool. The service was fast and friendly, and they happily let us sit outside per our request. We did not have a reservation and just showed up as we were road tripping and needed a place to eat. I would definitely be back!

Now the food - tremendous! I'm actually forlorn we love so far away this isn't our local! As a couple, we always share. Our choice over two evenings (one being takeout as we weren't staying at the connected hotel were: Steak tartare (I don't enjoy eggs and they accommodated this by putting them in the side) Spanish octopus Golden beets carpaccio Bolognese with the golden trio of meat blend Duck confit cassoulet Pork chop Honestly, I would order any single one of these again without hesitation. Everything component belonged on each dish, and pleasant to eat separately or piled on the fork as one mouthful. (Also appreciated when getting our takeout order that chef referred to cutlery as cutlery - rare in the US - specially when plastic takeout) Don't miss this on your Zion trip, and definitely worth going out of the way for!

One thing to note is that the chips and salsa are ordered separately, and the queso is an added extra charge on top of that. For our meals, we ordered the special swordfish taco and the carne asada tacos. Both proteins lacked flavor and were heavily covered with pineapple salsa, which overpowered everything else. The tacos themselves were very bland and desperately needed salt. Once we added salt, they became much more enjoyable. The same went for the rice and beans -- both were pretty flavorless until seasoned. The highlight of our experience was Jimenez (Hopefully I'm spelling his name correctly) who did a great job handling a very busy bar section. Service was attentive despite how packed it was, and we appreciated that. Overall, the food just did not meet expectations, especially for the price point. Sadly, Bit & Spur would be a hard pass for us if we return to Springdale.

My husband is a meatloaf lover, so he got the bacon wrap meatloaf. He said it was just OK, the appearance was amazing in a little tower, but it really needed a sauce on it. It was kind of dry. he ordered some gravy to go on top and our waiter brought him out some and that made all the difference. Could also just be how we're used to eating meatloaf and my husband thinks every meat has to have a sauce. Lol He also got the French onion soup and thought it was absolutely amazing and scarfed down every bite of it. That was recommended to us by the waiter as one of his favorites. I got the filet mignon and chose to top it with truffle butter, I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly, nice and lean, and the truffle butter was done just right not over the top, paired perfectly with the steak. I would highly recommend that. We got the calamari which was nicely battered (lightly) It was cooked correctly, and they even added fried okra in with the pepper mix. That was something unique to me, but it actually paired perfectly and I really enjoyed it. The aïoli that came with it was delightful as well. So overall, we would definitely recommend this. It is nice on the inside, but I wouldn't say upscale suit and tie kind of place, I did feel a little out of place walking in there and hiking boots and sweat though.

They claim the wine list is extensive- it is if you consider the Costco wine isle extensive. Mass produced and uninspired. The Muzak they play was funny.. Yes, actual elevator Muzak- and at one point it treated us to a full instrumental version of "Pour Some Sugar on Me." It was the highlight of the meal. To be fair, our server JT was great- attentive and genuinely nice. Not his fault the kitchen couldn't deliver.
