Okay, I will say the wings themselves, they tasted good, BUT. My order of 30 was for medium, lemon pepper and garlic and honestly, nobody in my household could taste any of those flavors. When I opened the box, they were separated but all looked exactly the same. If I tried REALLY hard, I could maybe tell a difference in flavor, I am not kidding. They were all basically plain wings. The onion rings in the top of the box were good but the ones at the bottom were sitting in a pool of oil, it was disgusting. Fries were great. I don't know if the lack of wing flavor was due to my using a $25 off deal from Uber Eats and they were mad or what, but it was really disappointing. First, the ordering... I thought the server was giving time to look over the menu until we were done looking over it and she passed us twice busing tables before finally getting to us 15 mins after we sat down. Next, the order arrival.... 30 minutes later the food finally arrives. I had asked that the guacamole on the turkey GLT to be put on the side which it wasn't, but no big deal. The wrap was decent but the chips were over cooked a bit. The Chicken Feathers on the other hand were an issue... the menu set the sauce at a heat rating of green which is a small amount of heat. That sauce tasted mostly like hot peppers and should have been in the next level up. It was too hot so we mentioned it to the server who offered to have it done over (remember the 30 min wait) which we declined because we couldn't wait that long. So, after 1/2 of the meal was eaten, the server brings the check and the meal was fully charged on it. I went to her and asked that she take off 1/2 since it couldn't be eaten and she said she offered to fix it to which I reminded her that we weren't willing to wait the length of time it took to prepare it. She got the manager who did approve 1/2 off that meal. The reason for the poor rating on service was due to the attitude. When a server uses excuses rather than good customer service for a known issue, that just isn't acceptable. I don't know if this is an isolated incident or if others have experienced subpar service as well. If it isn't isolated, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all which is sad because it used to be decent. read more

I've been to this place several times on different days, times, occasions and I always seem to have to wait to be seated! No one is ever at the door to greet you when you come in! It's crazy and yet I go back again because the bleu cheese dressing is amazing and well as the chicken feathers! They have a wide variety of chicken and the service has been hit and miss each time I've been. My friend loved the lunch buffet so I think that was a win win for her. Wild Wings Brier Creek has fabulous food and ambience. I came for karaoke night with Stevie B. It was so much fun! I did not seem to be able to get service for quite a while. Young short blonde bartender girl was busy talking to a cute guy customer, and didn't pay me much mind as far as her attitude bc I am a mature female, not a cute hot young guy. But, Steven, server, saved the day. He not only waited on me, but when I noticed a couple had walked in and no hostess was helping them, I pointed it out to Steven, and he said "Thank you!" and RUSHED over to assist them. He is an excellent example of great cusomer service and care for the establishment. Also, the manager, Halee, remembered me although I haven't been there all that much yet. This is also great customer service! Keep these people and give them a raise, please! P.S. I am serious about the raise. After a long day of moving, my boyfriend and I wanted some good ol wings and French fries to enjoy our new place. This was our first time having wild wing cafe and I must say I was not thrilled. We ordered 18 wings and French fries, 9 hot and 9 lemon pepper well done. The wings weren't done and the fries were overly crispy and cold. The fries seemed as if they had been sitting for hours. The first time I went it was 5 star service but this experience was just horrible. We waited over an hour for our food and then the waitress would never come back. After we got our food it was dried out from being under the sun lamp too long and tasted old it then took another hour to get our check. We wanted to complain to the manager about how bad the service was but turns out that was the waitresses husband. That manager bussed all her tables while she was no where to be found. A couple of weeks ago, some coworkers and I met up here for lunch. As we took our seats, I noted that we were extremely out of place in our business-casual attire. Most of the patrons in attendance were construction workers/maintenance men -- I'm guessing due to the popularity of the buffet special. Well, there is not much special in regards to the buffet. It was super small for the amount of traffic, and the food-stations were just ill-placed in front of the band platform with only one-way traffic. I don't understand why they didn't have two lines going to quicken the pace. There were two soups available (broccoli cheese and a veggie stew), six flavors of wings, fries, tater tots, corn dog "pups", and dippin' sauces. As for food utensils, there were not individual ones for each food offering -- which led to sauce scrambling. All I could think about was the lack of food-safety, and the fact that if one of those foods was undercooked, the whole station would be cross-contaminated. I've gotten food-poisoning before, so I think about these things. In terms of taste, the wings were good and the fries/taters/corn dogs were standard. Soups were not my cup of tea... super bland. The service was also severely lacking -- short-staffed and the waitress was super slow to refill our empty glasses. A small group that took their seats at a booth didn't receive a waitress for ten minutes, which was ridiculous since waitstaff passed by their table dozens of times to restock the quickly dwindling buffet-bar. Above all things, there was an awful *smell* in the place that super irked me -- a mixture of sweat, b/o, and dirt. Where were the air fresheners...? We stopped in here for some food on 4th of July. As opposed to every other time we've been, it was a ghost town. The food was average. We started off with the spicy buffalo pizza pie. The crust was reminiscent of standard Chicago deep dish butter crust. The ranch sauce was applied with a little too heavy of a hand and the hot sauce on the chicken tasted like an eighth of a cup of Texas Pete. I had a dozen wings extra crispy with the Ranchilada sauce. Good consistent flavor and an overall decent sauce. For some reason I still hold major allegiances to a good crispy hot naked wing over all gamut of sauces offered at establishments like this. Brit had a grilled chicken salad. Negative stars. Ordered food To-Go for lunch on 6/23/15. Co-worker picked up food for everyone at the office. Co-worker noticed the To-Go girl had a napkin in her hand, but didn't think much of it. Co-worker gets back to work and starts handing out food. Everyone notices the FRESH BLOOD STAINS on their bags, napkins, utensils, food containers, receipts, AND cards. How gross is that? BLOODY FINGERPRINTS ON EVERYTHING. Of course, we collectively call back and ask to speak to a Manager. We're told that the Manager is at lunch and to call back after 2pm. Ooookay. Call back at 2pm. Manager says he's sorry, but all he can do is give us coupons. I'M SORRY. COUPONS?! AFTER GIVING US OUR ORDERS WITH SOMEONE'S BLOOD ON IT?! HOW IS THIS NOT A HEALTH HAZARD?!??? I personally had the bacon bleu cheese burger with the potato wedges. The burger was tasty and flavorful once they got it right. We came here to watch the Duke vs. UNC game, thank goodness a few of our friends came here early to nab a table because the place was packed and there was a long wait. This was my first time here, so I of course had to try the wings. I'm probably the only Asian who can't handle spice so we went with the Gold Rush and Island Jerk and stayed clear away from the Habanero hot. The wings were great, until we found a hair in them....eewwwwwwww. They took them back, but then took FOREVER to bring us a new plate and weren't too apologetic about it. Hopefully, it's not a sign that it happens a lot because honestly I did like the wings. There are a few positives and a couple of negatives. The wings are generally good (except the boneless ones - way too greasy), and they have a nice big selection. Usually the service is good, and they have TVs, and a pretty good atmosphere. There are two main negatives that keep them away from a 4 or 5 star rating: 1. Parking is horrible. I usually don't bother considering this place because there is never any parking. 2. Wing stinginess - Twice we have gone missing wings. Once we were dining in, and were able to get the missing wings replaced. Once I got an order of 50 wings for a group for takeout, and we later discovered a total of 43 wings. It has places that are obviously scruffy holding areas for stages and band equipment. The garage and gasoline decor is just too contrived for a place in a shopping mall built two years ago. Everything about this place simply screams generic, cookie-cutter wing chain restaurant with absentee/uncaring management. If even their wings were decent, it may make up for the other problems. But, add on a kitchen that simply can't make decent wings, and you're safe to leave this joint off your list of places to try. You're not missing anything. read more

This is the third time I've been here, but the first time I've actually eaten. Now, in an effort to frame my review properly, I should admit that I was very much against eating here, so my judgement could be tainted as I was already in a bad mood upon entering. The place was very busy at all, but they managed to take nearly twenty minutes to seat us as more than six or seven tables still had refuse on them from previous customers. Rather than fume, I got a beer at the bar and chatted with our group. They had some specials and since I wasn't sure what I was going to eat, I opted for a standard Bud Light draft before I attempted to pair an future beers with my meal. This was a mistake, though. It was probably the most watered-down or flat beer I could have gotten. I didn't send it back because, well, I don't do that. We sat and the server approached. Rather than introducing himself or taking drink orders, he quietly prodded each person at our table for their entire order. I understand doing this in some situations, but the bar was quiet and he had just handed us the menus. No excuse. I got one more beer which was also flat. My food came. More substandard pub food. The bill came, he "gratted" us without informing which, to me, is so foolish as his tip from my wife and I came out to less than $5.00. I will certainly not return and the only reason I gave it two stars was that a band was setting up when we left and they teased a little 38 Special during their sound check. I'm not a huge 38 Special fan, but I appreciated the fact that they would tease a band that clearly represents what the restaurant is going for: one or two high-points dressed in whole bunch of frill. read more

I'll be honest, I've had quite a few wings from here, and they've been hit out of the park and miss (like... bigtime miss). However, they tend to be large, juicy, and meaty, and that's my biggest key in a wing spot. I'm a big fan of the Ragin' Cajun (great spices, extra juicy), and the hot is another go-to (nice and saucy). We tried the "chipotle jolt" this time, big mistake, as it's got very little heat and is mostly a sweet BBQ sauce. I think it'd be better suited to ribs. The queso was queso, not much to complain about there, but not nearly enough chips were provided for the portion (we ended up getting another basket.) My friend got a chopped salad that really looked (and apparently tasted) like it'd been sitting in tupperware for a while, which was a shame because it's a great concept for someone who wasn't interested in getting the whole big club sandwich. The service was good-humored, but I probably could've done without the sarcastic (or genuine...) remarks about how he hates to work outside (where we were sitting.) He almost made it seem like a chore every time we ordered a new round of drinks. In the past, though, the service has always been acceptable, the beers cold, and the wings hot. It's a wing place. What more can I say? The wings are good - no complaints of anything being too bland or too rubbery or anything; the wings are great. A big variety for those who shy away from the hot stuff - I usually stick with hot, Italian, Bubba's BBQ, ginger and garlic, since I'm not into crying in public. (I've seen the Chernobyl flavored wings do some awful things to some good people...) It really does vary as to how busy the place will be - on a Saturday night, expect to get screwed for: parking, a place to sit, a conversation that you can hear, and super reliable service. However, go in the middle of a day to catch a baseball game and it'll be a ghost town! They do have good drink specials on the weekend nights and the prices for wings are fair for what they are. Service can be a little hit or miss, especially if you're with a group of girls (most waitresses are young girls) but last time I was there, the waitress sat with us for about 10 minutes, chatting. If she was as drunk as we were, I'll never know, but she was definitely feeling good - one of my more enjoyable visits there, I must say. So go out on the weekends, try some wings, drink some drinks, listen to some band butcher No Doubt, but don't expect much beyond that. read more

Now that I reside in Brier Creek I live so close to so many restaurants, it's great! I have never checked this place out before, it didn't seem like the kind of place I would want to make a special trip for, but now that it's so close it seemed like the perfect opportunity to check it out. Disclaimer: this is not a review of the food, I went with a few girlfriends for drinks on a Friday evening. We were looking for a relaxing place to just sit and talk, as we didn't want to get too crazy that particular evening, and this was the perfect environment. Being a slightly cooler summer night then the sweltering ones we had been enduring lately, the outdoor patio was completely filled, but they have a semi-outdoor patio (enclosed) so we were able to sit there. It was calm and quiet, just a bunch of people hanging out, enjoying themselves. They were setting up for a band, but we didn't stay that long to find out who it was. We ordered two pitchers of drinks to share between four of us, and the pitchers were so disappointingly small. They were mini pitchers, not the normal ones you come to expect at every sports bar. We got a pitcher of some blue tropical drink and a yellow one, and it was filled with so much ice that by the time you poured it in the cups it came out to about half a drink each. It was $8 a pitcher, so while the price was reasonable, we would have been better off each ordering our own drink for around $5-6 and gotten a full glass. Blue moon was on special for $3.50 so I enjoyed one of those as well. I will come back again and try the food sometime, upon passing by some tables I saw some good looking chicken wings, so I'll have to go see if they live up to my hometown Buffalo standards ;-) read more

Well, I've tried Wild Wing's a few times. Been late at night and the crowd was okay, usually pretty busy. Karaoke night was awful, just a bunch of employees screaming up on stage. There was an 80s band there one night who were pretty decent (unfortunately I just wasn't in the mood for somewhere that loud -- not their fault). I think Tuesdays is pint night which is a pretty good deal anywhere. Sundays they have a Bloody Mary bar, which was great (except our server tried to overcharge us). The service has been on the slow side and our servers seemed to not really care. Hello, have some personality (you'll get a better tip). Second bad part was the food. The wings were NASTY. Half of them were undercooked. The wing sauce tasted like it had been in a can for years. In fact, they're still sitting in my fridge waiting to be thrown away. Why I even took them home, I have no ideal. The burger sliders tasted like thawed out cardboard on soggy little buns. The beer is good (because they don't make it?). Occasionally you can catch a good band, but be prepared for a room full of unruly rude drunks. I'd recommend staying away... unless thats what your looking for. read more

The ever growing an increasingly popular shopping and restaurant mecca known as Brier Creek in Raleigh got a hot new tenant earlier this year when regional chicken wings chain Wild Wing Cafe opened up near the Brier Creek Ale house. I have been there several times, and every time I go they are doing outstanding business and for good reason. First of all the place is enormous! The layout is booths and tables with a bar smack in the middle of the place with a stage for bands up front and a huge t.v screen above the stage when bands aren't playing. In addition there are plasma T.V's throughout the place making it almost impossible to miss a play when there is college basketball or football on. If you like music this a great place to hang out since they have bands ever weekend such as local favorite Sugar the Band . As I mentioned previously bands play on a huge stage located in the front of the restaurant. Bands usually start playing around 10:00. So far, I have only mentioned the entertainment, but the primary reason Wing Wings Cafe is so popular is their wide variety of chicken wings. If you like your wings buffaloed, spicy, barbecue, or hot enough to make you chug a gallon of water then WW has you covered. If you would prefer burgers , salad or soup then you will be happy, as there are plenty of choices there as well. A variety of beers, will satisfy any beer lover and domestic beers such as Bud Light and Miller Light are often on special for around $3.00. One warning is that this place can be very loud, and every time I have been the bar area is so crowded that it is difficult to move around. Also this is a smoker friendly establishment so if smoky restaurants bother you then you might want to reconsider. If you are o.k with smoke and noise and enjoy good times with great friends while feasting on chicken wings and beer while watching the big game or your favorite cover band, then Wind Wings Cafe at Brier Creek is the place to be! read more

Saturday night at 9:30pm, stopped in for late dinner. Ordered ice tea with lemon. 5 minutes later, got an ice tea, no lemon. Not a big deal. Appetizer ordered. 10 minutes later, appetizer arrived. Asked server for napkin and utensils (none on table). 15 minutes later, no napkin, no utensils. Ate the appetizer with bare hands, wiped hands on pants. Chicken came out 10 minutes later. Good chicken. While all this was happening, at 10pm, a DJ turned on music (on the far side of the restaurant) THAT WAS SO LOUD the server had to shout in my ear to ask me questions. LOUD HIP HOP MUSIC. No one was there to dance, it was people eating and a few people drinking at the bar. Yelling in his ear, I asked the server if the music could be turned down a bit. He said he would ask, server said he was as frustrated as I was, that he can't hear what patrons are saying to him. 5 minutes later, the music was taken from a volume of 9 to about 7. A 7 was still WAY too loud for a place to eat (again -- no one there to dance) but I could live with it. 5 more minutes and the volume cranks to 10. Not an exaggeration. Server came over and apologized (by yelling in my ear) saying that, at the request of patrons, he had already asked 3 times for them to turn it done. I asked for the manager. Manager came over with a dirty look on his face. I (yelling in his ear) told him that the music level was unacceptable. He offered no apology, no willingness to turn it down. He saw I was typing on Yelp and asked not to put a bad Yelp review because he wants to turn the place into a hip-hop club after 10. If you want loud hip-hop music, this is a good place. If you want a wings place to eat, talk with your friends, and watch the game, go somewhere else. This was really bad. And rude. read more

I have habit to check out reviews and commendations of a place before I actually visit, and I have seen more "so-so" and "dislike" than "excellent." I arrived first among the friends, so I got pleasure of putting my name on the list, and the hosting staff was courteous. It was a busy night, but we got the tables in 35 minutes, exactly how long they told me to expect, while we had a drink or two at the bar. The food was pretty decent, and among us we ordered quite a few from their flavors (35) list. The flavors were what I would expect, and the wings were not overcooked and dry. Our drinks were constantly being refilled. Just so happen it was a live band night, so we did enjoy a little local band music and watching other people, who were already too sauced up, making a fool out of themselves.
