Our server Chris was phenomenal, which is the only reason why I'm not giving this place one star. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and prompt. However, the wings were awful! This is not okay for a wing place. They were tiny! There was hardly any meat on the bone and much of what I thought was meat turned out to just be crunchy over fried chunks of batter. In addition, all of the four sauces we had on our wings all tasted pretty much the same. We tried Red Dragon, Red Hot and Bleu, The Slayer, and Crazy Daisy Asian BBQ. None of them were as spicy as suggested and they were all just basic, bland hot sauce flavors, nothing special, couldn't even guess which was which. Surprising because you would think you could differentiate between a teriyaki base, and BBQ base, a bleu cheese base, and a garlic base.... Also, we started with a buffalo chicken dip that was very bland. I have had homemade ones that are ten times better. I will stick to Buffalo Wild Wings from now on with hearty wings and flavorful sauces. read more

Wild Wing Cafe is huge and there are a lot of tvs to catch a game on, so it's a great atmosphere to hang with friends...except if it's a Friday night. Your eyes aren't deceiving you, I said don't go to this place on a Friday night and expect to catch a game and talk with friends over wings and drinks. For some reason this place turns from a Cafe into a Club on Friday nights. When we first walked in the music was so loud that we had to shout at the hostess how many people were in our party. After we we seated, we again had to shout our drink and food orders to the waitress. After awhile I almost lost my voice from having to yell to talk to my friends. Finally the music stopped, only to be replaced with a live band who was just as loud. What could have been a nice time out turned into me almost losing my voice. I would go back for the food and drinks but I would find out first what time the loud music starts and whether there is a live band playing. read more

After reading the other reviews and remembering my various experiences at Wild Wing Cafe, I think the primary issue here is consistency. We have had good and bad meals here. We have had good and bad service here. This time everything aligned and it was good on both fronts. Why the 3? I really don't want to mislead people by giving a high rating from this one visit. I'll raise my score if the next visit is also good. Soooo, after a few meh meals here, I finally talked my husband into coming back on 7/21/14. I really wanted wings. The place was pretty empty (ok, that can't be good), and the hostess was not very friendly (ok, not off to a good start), and she took us to a booth in the far back (ok, that was odd). Then things changed. Our server, Kate, was cheerful and efficient. Our food came out quickly and was well prepared and tasty. Even the manager was friendly. He stopped by and enthusiastically told us about their new dishes and weekly specials. I'll get to that later... Before you judge us, we knowingly over-ordered in order to have leftovers. :-) Hubby ordered the Slider Station sampler and received 6 decent-sized sliders (2 or each) for $12.99 - LITTLE B's - mini burgers with cheddar, onions, slider sauce and a pickle slice. - SLOPPY JOEY'S - Little mini versions of our scrumptious sloppy joe. - BBQ SLIDERS - Pulled pork or pulled chicken in your choice of bbq sauce topped with coleslaw. I ordered a double order of wings (20 pieces) with 2 sauces. We chose the GOLD RUSH (Honey BBQ with a KICK!) and the HOT Buffalo wing and a basket of "Big Fat Fries". The sliders were very good. The BBQ was probably our favorite of the three, as the sloppy joes were a little sweet and the burgers were, well just burgers. We shared the sliders and were too full to eat the wings. Hubby & I did sample a couple of wings, but took the rest home. The wings were large and moist. Our favorite was the gold rush, with a nice balance of honey and heat. The Hot wings were also good though, with a decent kick. The fries were generous. My only criticism - the 20 wings were $19.79. That just seems a bit pricy for wings. They were good, but $1 per wing is steep. What we found out from the manager is that they have a special on Wednesdays that is buy 10 get 10 free. Doh. Now I know why the place was empty on a Monday. But, maybe that is why we had better food and service? Who knows. I will definitely be back. I got a sampler platter from here last night, and I was pretty excited about the variety of flavors that were offered, but underwhelmed by the flavors themselves. I tried: Medium - meh, lil bit of spice, nothing remarkable flavor wise Italian- this barey had any flavor at all...if I had not known that was supposed to be Italian flavor, I would have never guessed Island Jerk- this wing was completely plain, but came with a thick, sugary sauce that was spicy. Not at all like jerk chicken Wild West - this was my favorite....buttery, with a nice tangy ranch taste Old Yeller - this was my partner's favorite......thick mustard style Carolina BBQ sauce This was a takeout experience, and overall I would describe it as lackluster. The gentleman that took my order was very helpful and friendly. If I had dined in the restaurant perhaps the food would have been better. Pretty good chicken wing buffet. Small but regularly stocked. Best thing about the place is the waitress Alisha. She is on top of her section. Have never had to wait for service like water or dip or napkins. She seems to be 2-3 steps ahead of what you may want or need. She's awesome. Ask for her - never leaves you sucking ice. Lemon pepper wings are pretty good. Meatballs are not. Mealy and flavorless. Salad area ( way too small to be called a bar ) is pretty sad as far as selection goes but it's not a health food restaurant. It's chicken wings. And as far as wings go they're decent. read more

The live band, The Rebel Yells, was awesome! Sadly I can't comment on the food or beverages because the service is horrible. The waitresses just walk by and never ask if we want anything. If I want to be ignored I can hang out with teenagers. After a while it became a fun game, see who can ignore the other first. I won! No tip for you! read more

The service here is terrible, clearly there have been no improvements based on prior reviews. I went Saturday around 3pm, the host didn't greet us and acted as if he was too tired to speak. There was a total of maybe 4 people at the bar do we assumed if wasn't the best time, but should get fast service. The waitress to say the least, needs serious training. I couldn't tell you her name, because she just walked up to the table and looked at us as if she was waiting to take our order. No introduction whatsoever. Didn't ask us if we wanted something to drink , if we've been here before, give us time to look at the menu, offer a kids menu. NOTHING! She did say they didn't have a kids menu, but could tell me what's on it, but didn't. She just asked what we wanted. So after figuring out the menu we ordered, asked about the unlimited 2 hour mimosas that's on the menu, but were told they didn't do it anymore. Ordered a regular glass, which we waited about 10 minutes for. After we walked towards the bar to get them ourselves, the bartender met us halfway stating "they were sitting for awhile, so figured I would bring them over". I don't know where the waitress was. The drink was warm, so I assumed the Prosecco wasn't chilled. I would have loved to eat here, but something in my gut told me I was going to be disappointed just based on the service alone. I would have felt like an idiot to still spend my money on that kinda service at a restaurant. Like I can only imagine what they're doing in the kitchen. I went here because a family member said that the wings were good. Weeeellllllll, they must have had one or two or 52 drinks. The wings are expensive, badly seasoned and not worth even trying. I wasted $40 on wings that we didn't even eat. They were so undercooked the juice oozed out. The terriake wings are spicy and when I asked on the phone they said they were not hot. Well I ordered them for my toddlers who screamed bloody murder when they bit into them. I ordered togo, they didn't tell me were to pick up the wings, it was just unorganized and poor service on top of horrible food. Buffalo Wild Wings is so much better, it is worth the drive. My family is from Winston Salem, and they came up to Raleigh to visit. I told my mom about this place because me and my fiancé go here all the time and never had an issue. The service was always good and so was the food. But i guess Sunday was a bad day to go. We hyped this place up just to receive horrible service and management. Me and my fiancé both ordered the 3 for 10.99. As we ordered our drink Michelob ultra, appetizer and entree. She said nothing about them not having it in draft and brought it to our table anyway. When the bill came it, it was over $30?? When we asked she said they didn't have the Michelob ultra on draft so we have to pay for it... not sure why she didn't tell us that when we ordered, we would of gotten something else. But even the manger said we had to pay it. Most of the time while eating we had no drink, no sauce as we requested and took her five or six times to pass us to finally get us a box after we asked multiple times. she had a rude attitude and very bad service. We went to celebrate my promotion but it was one of the worst dinning experiences we have ever had. I have wanted to go back, but my fiancé never wants to go. Yesterday was our first time visiting Wild Wing Cafe after I had read reviews I was expecting the worst but it ended up being great. We were seated fast, the waitress was super fast. She kept our drinks full and checked on us regurlary. The food (boneless wings) were delicious. The only small complaint I have is there is. Band at 10 they are a little loud but not intolerable. The staff was run down as well as the food. I ordered chicken nuggets and fries for my daughter and the food came out late 30 minutes later. I ordered the devilishly bad fried chicken sandwich with "special sauce" that I specifically said not to put on the sandwich but it came out with the nasty sauce on both sides of sandwich ugh! The grease they used to fry the food was obviously old and needed to be changed desperately. This would be ok for a typical durham restaurant but didn't expect it in Raleigh at brier creek. Went with a group for lunch. Half went with the buffet (10.99 per person) and half ordered off the menu. Those that had the buffet were satisfied - menu on buffet was simple but plentiful. Wings - mild, medium, hot and garlic as well as some boneless chicken / pasta salad and fries as sides. Price might seem a bit high, but matches up with the cost of 12 wings so not too bad. My favorite flavor of wing here is the slayer - a hot wing with some garlic kick. The food is the upside here. Homemade ranch dressing, which is a must for me.... The downside here is the customer service. Wait staff is inconsistent at best and clearly from the other reviews its a systemic issue that the owner isn't addressing. I wish no stars was an option. I know that it's Super Bowl Sunday. In fact, most everyone knows it's Super Bowl Sunday. So when we called the morning of and asked for 48 wings and to pick at 5 and the restaurant said 5:30 was the earliest, we were good. We understood. But when you show up at 5:30 and they are just getting the 5 pm orders out... really??? It's 6 pm and we still don't have the order. I blame management for not being prepared to take on a crowd on one of the busiest days of the year. But it's shouldn't have been a surprise that it's the busy... it was just a lack of preparation. When asked why they weren't ready, we were given attitude... again, not our fault. We played nice the last time we were here when a waitress spilled a beer on my husband and didn't do anything to help him. The lack of customer service at this place is evident. Went out tonight to watch football. Busy at all the sports bar. The manger at wings was amazing! Checking on tables and bringing out food. He even made sure we could get a table right in front of the tv with the game we came to watch. Sports bar that is open late in Mayberry! Yeah!! Good burger kinda small for advertised size but very good. It was blue cheese basil and pesto flavorings. I would not have put them together but they were very good none the less. awesome sauce I got the Boneless wings with slayer spicy garlic, and honey chile cilantro coating they were excellent. Super friendly staff, especially Lisa. The menu is Keto friendly which is a plus for me. Wings are outstanding (as you'd expect) and their website is really helpful about picking out low carb options. The burgers are also killer, and they must put crack in their broccoli - it's really that good as a side. Give it a whirl, you won't leave disappointed. Wow the wings were spot on. We enjoyed the amazing parmesean wings, the delicious ginger wings. Which if I might advise everyone should try the ginger wings. We also enjoyed the Garlic wings as well as two other flavors. Our server magically was able to keep our cups filled without us even noticing. To which I give her two thumbs up. So here's the regional Wing restaurant trying it's hand with the Brier Creek crowd. It seemed to be doing pretty well when I went there on a late Saturday afternoon to take in a basketball game, talk to some friends, and try some wings. For watching the game, it was just as serviceable as any other sports bar, perhaps even the neighboring Ale House. The game the most people were interested in was the one with the volume turned up, there was almost no direction I could look in without seeing it, and there was a large screen that brought the whole building together to watch it for the big moments. For hanging out with my friends, it also had a certain charm. Even out in the middle of the floor with a game on, we could all have a pleasant conversation and enjoy each other's company. So that's another rather good success. As a restaurant and bar, it failed pretty hard. The menu didn't have much to offer outside of traditional barroom fare, which was fine because if a place is going to call itself the Wild Wing Cafe, I'm going to try the wings. The sauce wasn't particularly spicy, nor was it thick. It seemed kind of like a thin grease-based sauce that didn't make for happy times after the fact. They had a beer special, but not the selection of the Ale House, which the Wild Wing Cafe had finally come too close to resembling. There are better places to watch a basketball game, and there are certainly better places to eat and drink. Not much to recommend here. read more

Louis was friendly and great! Onion rings w southwest ranch delicious! Dipper trio was good, we loved the guacamole and the spinach artichoke dip. The chili con queso was a lil too oily and could've been more creamy/cheesy. Wings were delicious. I ordered the grilled feathers which was the only thing we didn't love as they were a bit dry. Mixed experiences here. Typically good food and friendly service, so I don't want to bash here for one out of the norm instance. Solid all you can eat weekday lunch option. Lots of wing options that let you get creative and have what you want, the way you want. Big fan of the grilled tenders (they call them feathers I believe). Usually request the sauce on the side and dip. Live music at night is an added bonus and great place to watch a game. Convenient location. Only bad experience was at lunch when coworker and I were seated by the hostess and then no one waited on us for 15 minutes. I am a frequent customer of wild wing cafe. I often visit for NFL games as well as college football games. Normally I always have a positive experience when visiting. However, three weeks ago myself and a few of my female friends were treated unfairly. We were being harassed by a guy who continued to make sexist comments towards us. One of my girlfriends did get upset with this guy who begins to yell at her. After a shouting match between the two of them. The manager (guy named Chris) proceeds to kick me and my girlfriends out. Only one of us was involved in the shouting match. To add insult to injury we were kicked out by a male for standing up to another male making harassing and sexist comments toward us. He never asked this group of guys to leave. I am so disappointed. The two people involved should have been asked to leave not the group of women who were innocent bystanders. read more

I ate here for the first time today. I had confused it with Buffalo Brothers for a long time and since there was one of those near my house I never came here since it's a little farther away. When I walked in I saw the people I was meeting in line to go to the wings buffet. I said I didn't remember seeing that before and that's when I realized I'd never been at one of these before. It was a little more than I'd normally spend on lunch - $10.99 but it was a good deal- all the wings you can eat plus a side salad. I tried most of them - my favorites were the smokey Joes, the Cajun boneless and the Hot. The rest I would say were all good- no bad ones in the bunch. The Italian ones got my prize for most original. All the blue cheese and ranch dressing you wanted came with. I feel like I ate my weight in wings which was fine. It was nice not being constrained to a set amount and doing that "being polite and leaving that last wing on the table so you don't look like a pig" thing we've all had to endure from time to time. We are not spicy food eaters anymore. We will not be eating the wing 33 flavors which is a major point for people coming there. This was the first thing we were told about when we ate there. For starters, I would recommend the queso, spinach dip, mozzarella sticks, and their guacamole. These are the only appetizers we have tried in our three visits to them. The staff is very kind and very concerned for your food restrictions. I asked about the Garlic tortilla for the turkey G.L.T. and I didn't notice the garlic until the next day when I ate the second half of the wrap at home. The garlic wasn't too overwhelming. We have also tried the Texas Toast Club which is a huge portion size and tastes amazing! We have also tried the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger which the beef is superb plus real BACON! Their turkey burger is also a must try! Although they seem to think their turkey burger might be a little dry possibly because it comes with condiments that are oozing from the burger. I would recommend you get the condiments on the side of you want to try the meat by itself or don't want a ton of condiments. I look forward to trying the turkey burger again with the condiments on the side. Also I tried their potato salad with their turkey burger and the potato salad is very "mayonnaisy" (lots of mayo) and I didn't think it was even average but very oniony as well. I would not recommend the potato salad. Their chicken fingers are BIG! I had to take the last two home for the next day. I would recommend the 3 chicken fingers if you don't want to take any food home and are a little hungry. If you are very hungry or want leftovers place your order for the 5 chicken fingers. As you remember we can not eat spicy foods, any more without stomach pain, so we asked for the Rookie Batter which is plain batter, I believe, with no heat. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in a clean environment with kind and caring staff! I think an owner or manager runs food because this man knows the menu front and back. He recommended the garlic tortilla for my turkey wrap and said, "They would be happy to remake it or make anything else on the menu." This shows me they care about their customers and are willing to put the customer as a priority. As always, staff leave and managers change so this place is amazing now.
