This place was fun, but a little too dirty and crowded. Definitely a place to dance the night away but you will be dancing on sticky floors and cups on the floor. I saw Tiffany (you know, THE 80's Tiffany!) at Wildcat Lounge and had a blast. We all donned 80's gear and arrived early for the show. We waited a long time for Tiffany to begin but loved rocking and dancing to all of the 80's tunes playing beforehand. When she came on, it was brief but "I Think We're Alone Now" was everything I could have hoped for and more! We snuck into a VIP area with some friends and oohed and aahed at Tiffany's "talent." On "normal" nights, the Wildcat Lounge is still fun for grabbing drinks with friends and sometimes dancing. We'd often snatch an outdoor table on the patio and stay a while. Apparently Yelp said it was 20s something but guess not on a Friday night. It was mixed but I guess still mostly young, under 35. Friday night $5 cover charge. Dance the night off at a fun place. Pros: Really great music and overall always a good time, drinks are not too overpriced and removing the cover charge for Thursday was the best decision the owner could have done. My wife decided to book a short get away trip up here to Santa Barbara to celebrate my birthday. She googled local gay bars and found the Wildcat Lounge to be one of few if not only local bars that offered a gay friendly environment. Lucky for us we made it on a Sunday night which they actually advertise as "Gay Night". With that being said, I assume every other night is open to all walks of life. After we were dropped off at the front entrance by a great Uber driver, we got in line for a quick ID verification. Bouncer was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Upon entering, we were able to walk up to the bar and get our drinks. We took a quick walk to the dance floor and got our boogie on. They had a great pair of go-go dancers (male and a female) each at there separate stations. They appeared fit, clean, and had the moves! Bussers and bouncers walked the floor regularly picking up glassware and keeping the walkways clear for emergency access. Music was great and patrons really made this visit a success. The only negative comment I can offer is my wife called the establishment to get more information such as cover charge, dress attire, and if in fact they were gay friendly and the employee couldn't provide answers to simple questions. Other than that, I will definitely return for future visits. read more

The silent disco on Saturday nights is so fun with only a $7 cover charge. Devan and Alyssa was our cocktail waitresses and they was absolutely amazing. Ciera was very attractive, attentive and super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. Devan took our girls night pictures for us and got us our drinks fast. They play throwback RNB and it was so fun. The vibes here are amazing!! We were on vacation and I'm really gonna miss this experience. Recommend for everyone! The "Shitty Kitty" really doesn't get shitty unless they mean you get shitFACED LOL I've came here on Thursday nights through Sunday nights for different occasions and they always have the BEST dance music. They have a large bar indoors and a small bar outdoors along with a patio smoking area. Small cups of ice and water are usually sitting at the side of the indoor bar and it's nice to have something to refresh our alcoholic, dancing selves. I came as a visitor to the area with my friend introducing me to her favorite hot spot on the strip. I had so much fun even though I started the night with a pounding headache from a 4-hour drive filled with LA traffic. The headache went away eventually and the fun began. The venue had a large dancefloor, large for a bar/lounge. They also had stages for go go dancers on other nights. My friend and I spontaneously decided to go up and dance to our heart's content. Little to my knowledge then, there was a camera that would project on a plasma screen around the bar. Interesting... I only stuck with beer that night, so I can't really tell you how great the drinks were. If you are just looking for a good time and a place to dance, Wildcat satisfied my hunger to shake my hips. =) read more

Came here on a Monday night. They had Karaoke which was kind of cool, but people that can't sing... not so much. Towards the end of the night a DJ starts playing music and people start dancing. No cover charge on Monday and drinks aren't too bad. Patio area at the back is a great place to chill and have a smoke. Then you keep walking in, past the bar... Ahhhh... I see now. The Wildcat is surprisingly spacious. Even boasting a pretty vast patio area. The dance floor is split between 1.5 rooms. The bigger half having the DJ both. There is a relatively big dance floor. Plenty enough for a weekend, late fall draw to SB. Music starts with Top 40, then slowly gets into house. Then, towards the end, I don't quite remember?!??!?! We had bottle service for our party of about 12. The cocktailetresses were very nice and attentive. Worst place to go for cocktail drinks; a few of their bartenders don't even know what they're doing when they preparing your drinks. I went there a couple weeks ago and because it is a bar they think that every customer who goes there is drunk and they want to be disrespectful towards them. When I order the girl a drink she made it completely different of how it suppose to be, I was just watching her, I told her about it and she got super aggressive and offended. I am paying for what I am receiving I obviously can complaint if I see thinks different. She is super aggressive to customers, I have experience several problems with her for the same issues. She take advantage of people cause assumes they are drunk; she is an expert on stealing customers money if customers don't notice. Last problem I had with her I gave her a $100 bill and she denied it, but I ask her to call the manager, then she came and she was, "Oh yeah, here is the rest." She didn't even bother to give an apology for what she've done.. Be really careful when you go there! They like to take advantage of you.. Depending on my mood I'll go here, but in general not really. You walk in and theres a bar on the left and tables at the right, keep walking and you hit the dance floor and then the back and theres seating outside, people smoking and another small bar. The crowd varies, but mostly those who like the 80s and 90s mash ups :D Many rocker type-edgy, older crowd comes here to hangout and just chill. I've been here several times. One night it was for like burlesque and not evceryone dressed up. LAME! I kinda felt a bit stupid. My friends and I trek down the street already get crazy looks like we are some hookers and yeah, we walk in and like a 1/8 of the crowd was actually taking the night seriously. O well, we just had a few drinks and had fun. The people here are pretty nice, you get your fair share of ppl though who will judge you if youre not "emo, or punk, or indie." I've been here twice for Fiesta, and it is one the cheaper places to get into since it's the only time of year when there's a night life in downtown SB. I would assume it would attract the broke college/entry level professional crowd, but it seems like it attracts the cougar crowd. And I am so not a cougar. I'd probably go back if I were with my older girlfriends who need a wing man because the people who go there and work there are nice. Our service sucked as* Katie (i found her on Facebook on the website) would stop bartending and start conversing with other guests that she recognized. When she came up to ask us for our drinks her breathe smelled like alcohol & she was slurring her words & when i asked called for her she was twirling dancing with a guy from the inside of the bar & we were waiting and watching her like fools & when i gave her my card she gave it to some other girl at the register and the other girl was just calling them out so i had to run over to make sure i got my card back.
