The food is delicious. I've tried the salmon and the chicken. I've ordered from them many times . I'm a picky eater so the salmon and the chicken are my go to foods. They are a little on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it. I would have given them five stars but I made it four stars because of the price. read more

This is my first visit at this location. I usually go to the one located in Oak Brook, IL which is one of my favorites places to dine. I was celebrating my birthday back in July. After, work I wanted to stop in and grab a bite to eat and enjoy me a nice cocktail. The inside is very elegant and has a nice decor feel to it. I can't complain with this location. I was just disappointed that it didn't have a Happy Hour for the drinks. I ordered myself the Lemon Greek Chicken which was very moist and cooked really nice. Full of good flavors and the potatoes were so delicious. I wanted to order me another side of potatoes to go. Lemon Drop Martini is always a win with me. The service here was top notch. There was a group of young men working in my dining area. They were ALL so very polite, attentive and nice. My server was also very nice and she blessed me with Happy Birthday Dessert. EPIC save, Wildfire! Short story (you can read my review on Shaw's if you care to search for it), my partner an I decided to go out for Easter, but we were just at Wildfire Oakbrook. We hadn't been to Shaw's Crab House in a few months and chose the Schaumberg location. She made reservations on Friday evening for 5 pm Easter Sunday. We arrive, get seated (in the bar area), and proceed to be ignored for 15 solid minutes. Empty table, empty water glasses, NOBODY serving us. It was bizarre as we had MANY servers and front-of-the-house employees walking past us as we sat on the main path to the kitchen. Nobody even looked at us. It was so uncomfortable. Minutes are going by, we're getting angry. As a couple we start arguing about now where are we going to go? Would we even get in during Easter dinner at any nice restaurant. Ignored, hungry, arguing, and frustrated is NOT what you were looking forward to for Easter! At the 15-minute mark, we took out our phones and started calling places. We all but dismissed Wildfire as it's ALWAYS busy. We took a chance and called. The person who answered said that they were no longer taking walk-ins but had high tops in the bar with full menu service and she could see that they still had 4 or 5 high tops open. Being 3 minutes away, we left Shaw's and immediately drove over to Wildfire. Upon entering we were greeted warmly, "welcome in. How are you doing this evening?" I must have answered enthusiastically because the hostess looked interested in the story. I told her I was the one who just called and was told about the "no walk-ins, but open high top" option. I then told her the abbreviated Shaw's story. She spoke over her shoulder to the Manager on Duty (who heard the story) about accepting us as walk-ins. He immediately approved and sat us within minutes in the dining room! We're impressed and super thankful! Menu's handed to us, water delivered seconds later, server arrives 30 seconds after that and takes our cocktail order. My partner now grinning ear to ear! But wait, I can top that! The server sees her gluten free menu and asks if she'd like GF dinner rolls. ABSOLUTELY! Her dinner rolls arrive 4 minutes later, warm, and at just the right crispiness level (she likes a good crunch). We then proceed to "Jon Taffer" (look him up) Shaw's for a solid 10 minutes while feeling really good we're at Wildfire's, getting great service, and getting great food for the SECOND time that week! The moon and stars are realigning. But wait, I can top that! My sweet girl loves quality fish. Shaw's was chosen because it's has a great selection of fish...but only one dish on the menu noted as GF - walleye. Not her favorite. Our server at Wildfire, knowing the GF preference, tells us that they can prepare most dishes GF but will still check with the chef to make sure. One thing a GF person loves - SELECTION! I can see the hearts in her eyes! The night had been saved in a way that I could not resist writing a review about (something I do not like doing)! But wait, I can top that! I promise this is the last one. My girl is very petite, but eats a good portion when served to-die-for food. Her dinner, with lemon butter sauce, was enjoyed with little conversation. She was in heaven! After the main dinner concluded, when shown the dessert menu and asked if she'd like something (the GF Chocolate Cake), she really wanted to but was feeling full and satisfied. Shortly after, the to go boxes and take-home bag arrive to collect the remaining scraps (the bison meatball leftovers make an unbelievable scratch bolognaise sauce for two!), when our server Jorge gives her a small serving of GF chocolate cake ON-THE-HOUSE! You had us at water and you give her dessert to take home and eat when she's not so full?! This is customer-forever magic! Tell me, could you have asked for anything more epic of an evening save?! I mean the Michael Jordan of slam dunks! The crazy part is that this is repeated every day of the week at Wildfire. This is 'normal' to them. No friends, it's the highest level of customer satisfaction! Everyone complains about the loss of service and the lowering of expectations after COVID. Wildfire does not subscribe to any of that. Shaw's sat us in the bar while Wildfire is setting the bar. That's the difference here. As a parting gift from Shaw's, they later cancelled our reservation on open table. We obviously get notified via the app. One last sharp and insulting reminder of how our Easter dinner started, AND how it was saved. A story I've already repeated 10 times at work just today. "How was your Easter? Have I got a story for you!" Lastly, I do want to give Wildfire Oakbrook HUGE props also. We don't go to the Schaumberg location all that often (mainly for business lunches/dinners). Oakbrook is our go to. Many thanks to that team (especially Margi) for too many fabulous dinners! I was trying to use a "Lettuce Entertain You" gift certificate that I received as a gift at least 10 years ago and Wildfire was listed as one of the options. Since it was only about 15 minutes away, I decided to give it a try and meet a colleague there for lunch. It was easy to make an online reservation, the service was friendly and prompt, the ambiance is sophisticated yet not pretentious and the food was great, although I will say we both only ordered salads - so I can't speak to the appetizers, full meals like steaks or desserts. The salsa were really large portions (even though we both ordered the small salad). It's nice that the salads come in three size options: side salad, small salad, and a large salad. the service was great. what was disappointing was that the Schaumburg location is not planning to order anymore of the Alaskan cod for the season. I was very much looking forward to having that last night. The "replacement " was flounder, I was willing to try it but didn't like the sauce and asked for lemon butter instead - couldn't be done. so I opted for the ribs - they were ok. This was the Thanksgiving dinner. We ordered a Caesars salad and chopped salad. Both were very good. Then we ordered the beef tenderloin which was very nice. Then it went downhill. The plate of turkey was lukewarm, at best. Almost could call it cool. The same with the mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes as well as gravy being lukewarm. These should all be served hot! The server never came by to check with us. For dessert, we were served the chocolate cake and pumpkin pie. No serving utensils! No knife to cut the pie - try using a fork to do this!! Came here for our anniversary. Very nice place, great service, and good drinks. I ordered the porterhouse, and my wife ordered the filet mignon wellington. Both were cooked medium rare and perfectly. We then saved some room for dessert. We ordered the key lime pie and a warm cookie skillet. Wildfire is our go-to reliable option when it comes to a celebratory family dinner or just a nice night out. Yes, it's somewhat of a chain with multiple locations in the Chicagoland area, but it's been such a consistently good experience every time we go. Wildfire is nicer than a more casual place like Maggiano's but isn't such an upscale place with a strict dress code. It has a similar ambiance to its Lettuce Entertain You sister restaurant Shaw's Crabhouse. Reservations are easy to book, and if you have larger groups they even offer a few private rooms on a first come first serve basis without additional charge. The menu has a lot more variety than a steakhouse like Morton's and actually has a lower price point than a traditional steakhouse, even though I think the quality of their steaks are honestly on par with other big steakhouse chains. Their steaks and chops are prime house quality, they offer more casual options such as burgers / sandwiches, and they also have plenty of non-beef alternatives like chicken and seafood. Bread Basket - For a free bread basket, this was pretty legit. They used to give a mix of onion rolls, pumpernickel, and cornbread, but now the entire thing is onion since that was the most popular. Wildfire Chopped Salad - Decent sized chopped salad. We got the small and it was enough for the 6 of us to get a portion and still have some extra as well. Calamari - Crispy calamari rings and tentacles. Came with cocktail and ranch sauces. Baked French Onion Soup - Beefy broth filled with caramelized onions. It was topped with a huge layer of broiled cheese and had a couple pieces of bread floating in it soaking up all that flavor. Bone-in Ribeye - This had to have been at least 22 oz. It was just as big as the bone-in ribeye at most prime steakhouses. The ribeye was well marbled and my knife just cut through like butter. It was so tender and succulent that the plate was filled with juices. There was a good fat ratio: enough fat to make every bite juicy but not too much where there were whole sections of soft/gelatinous fat. I've had some bad luck lately with places overcooking a medium steak, but Wildfire got it just right. Filet Medallion Trio - Three 3 oz Filet Mignon pieces, each topped with a crust of your choosing. You can choose from parmesan, blue cheese, and horseradish. They used to have more choices like mushroom and double baked potato. These crusts are amazing though...adds an extra buttery and crunchy element to each bite. Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet - Nothing beats a freshly baked cookie topped with good quality vanilla bean ice cream. The cookie came out hot with crisp edges and a gooey center, and it paired perfectly with the mound of creamy ice cream on top. Wildfire has one of the best cookie skillets out there. Overall, we've been going to Wildfire for years and it's a great option for a mid-scale restaurant. Never disappoints. read more

Yesterday, I went to Wildfire for my 75th Birthday. I won't be going back for my 80th, because: A. I'll be dead OR B. It was so terrible I will NEVER return Let's start with the OK part (that won't take long) - the drinks. Underwhelming and overpriced, but passable. They don't make a frozen drink because "they don't have a blender". Just be honest, you're just too lazy to make them. Next we had the Calamari. Somewhat greasy with ranch dressing and some red sauce. Both from a bottle. Walmart stuff. My wife ordered the Filet Mignon, which came overcooked. She ordered Medium Rare and it was Medium, at best. She said it was OK. I ordered the Large Prime Rib, something I had before that was quite good. No matter how bad this sounds, believe me, it was worse. As soon as I but my knife on it and sawed away and nothing happened, I knew there was an issue. I tried to work around the gristle and fat, but it was darn difficult. I'm really irritated that I didn't take a picture of the pile of inedible crap on my plate after I finished. At least 1/3, if not 1/2 was beyond the pale. It even looked strange, like it had been frozen and then microwaved. I truly don't know how you can cook a piece of meat that badly. The manager, filled with the milk of human kindness, took $10 off the bill. It takes someone with gonads the size of bowling balls to treat a customer so poorly. I assume we were abused more than others due to our age. I don't know. You may be wondering why I didn't say something to the waiter. Up to the point the food was delivered he had been reasonably attentive. I've had worse service, but I give him a C. After the food was delivered he absolutely vanished. It was, as if, he knew we were given plates of overpriced, barely edible "food". He showed up after we were finished. For completeness, the sides were just as bad. My wife ordered crispy hand cut fries. I've seen crispier mashed potatoes. The creamed spinach was a joke. It was green, but that's the best I can say about it. Tasteless and luke warm. As someone said in another review, the sides sit up under a heat lamp for an indeterminate length of time. Ours must have been there since the day before. Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises must have a a Vice President in charge of abusing customers and making everything as bad as possible. Only an MBA/CPA could possible insult people with a 3% service charge after everything they do. Did I say the manager had large nads? The title must go to the corporate clown that dreamed that one up. I fairness the restaurant was fairly full for a Sunday evening. I don't understand it. Oh! Beautiful ambiance. I was offered an 8:15 reservation on a Saturday night. The resturant closed at 9pm. I was reluctant to dine giving the assumed pressure to rush preparation we were assured service would not waver. The shrimp and crab bisque lacked flavor, French onion soup was ok, the beautifully charred medium well petite filet I ordered was very salty and slightly over cooked to well done. , as well as the tips being over salty. . The Au gratin potatoes were very over cooked and not describable. The house Cabernet was very good. This is a beautiful steakhouse but the food was not above 3 stars and giving the time, I did not want to request a corrected meal read more

Our friend and I both had the martini flights, which I highly recommend if you're not sure what type of cocktail you might want to try! (yuuuuum!!) The bacon wrapped scallops and a chopped salad made an excellent appetizer for the 3 of us! We each had a different steak, all were cooked perfectly; the desserts were excellent. Based on tonight's experience- I can only give 2 stars and 1 is for our wonderful server, Janet! She was the best part, not the cough syrup tasting drink or the tough skirt steak. Luckily, she offered to swap both, so I did. So the chocolate martini was honestly the worse I've ever had. Truly tasted like lightly spiked chocolate milk. The coconut shrimp were decent but they should really just be on the app menu, not dinner. I didn't care for the watery coconutty sauce either. I will say that the shrimp and crab bisque was amazing! Ants!!!!!My two girlfriends and I just left Wildfire after wine and appetizers. Our evening was cut short due to ants on our table, jackets and booth. My friend noticed an ant about halfway through our outing but I brushed it off and thought it was a little spider. Within 30 minutes, there were SEVERAL ants randomly crawling on our table, booth, over our jackets! We mentioned this to the waiter and sadly he did not seem surprised. He brought over the manager who seemed annoyed that we were even complaining. She said they are aware of the ant situation and they are taking care if it. Nonchalantly asked if we wanted to move seats but we were so unnerved we told her we were packing up to go. She took car did just the two apps we had (instead of taking care of the entire bill , which is ridiculous. It was a $22 bottle of wine, she could have comped that as well). In all my years of traveling and dining out, I have never had this experience not only with the ants but also the lack of customer service by the manager none the less. Had an amazing experience at wildfire last night. servers were very attentive, we had 3 separate staff members checking on us regularly and were very kind and professional. started out with the stormy night martini, which is the best drink on the menu if you like sweet + strong. the skirt steak and au gratin potatoes were delicious. i would pass on the mac n cheese next time, it was pretty basic, no breadcrumbs or melty cheese, just a bright orange sauce. we also got a side of the cottage fries which were so good and crispy. we celebrated our anniversary and they brought us a complimentary dessert, a flourless chocolate cake that was to die for, and melts in your mouth. the perfect date night! :) read more

Really great place for lunch or dinner. The food is very consistently good. The portions are big and the prices are reasonable. They have a lot of options for gluten free and the servers are all very knowledgeable. It's personally for me a better lunch spot as there salads and sandwiches are great. My go to: famous chopped salad (it's huge and can be split by at least two people of not three) , the Greek salad, the goat cheese appetizer, the French dinner, cheeseburger, au gratin potatoes I'm a creature of habit so when somethings really good I don't really try too many new things but their chopped salad is just the best. read more

The prime rib was super duper juicy! Our service was great! The shrimp and crab bisque was yummy. The loaded baked potato had a lot of toppings, which was super yummy. I didn't love the beef Wellington, but daddy thought it was in his top five meals ever. Grandma couldn't finish hers even though it was good. She got a candle in her ice cream for dessert for her birthday. My brother said the roast half chicken was the best ever. Mommy said her mushroom crusted filet was extravagent. My only complaint is they didn't have Dr. Pepper or rootbeer. Angelique was our waitress and she was really nice. Overall, I thought it was above and beyond. couldn't be more disappointed in our experience at Wildfire. We had TERRIBLE service and food! My husband is currently throwing up from the ribs (thank god I did not try them)! He didn't finish the small half rack, saying they "tasted funny". My steak was tough (bone in rib eye) and the potatoes were cold. Our server was AWFUL! She was inattentive, so we had to ask someone else for S & P and additional drinks. She rolled her eyes more than once...I've never been so shocked by such poor service and attitude. I've also never not left a tip at a dining establishment, but would have done it last night. She's lucky my husband was paying! We are frequent customers at Wildfire and have had many wonderful eating experiences at Wildfire. We went there on Saturday 4/13 for my spouse's birthday. She ordered the Beef Wellington and I got the halibut. Let's start with the Beef Wellington. The pastry had been sitting in the juice of the meat to the point where it was soggy and absolutely tasteless. The meat itself was chewy and tasteless as well. My wife couldn't even finish. Now onto the halibut. It did have a strong "fishy" odor but I started to eat it regardless because we weee at Wildfire. Let's make this brief. I spent half the night and the following morning on the toilet. What a disappointment for both courses. I doubt we'll ever eat at Wildfire//Schaumburg again, or any other Wildfire, for that matter. Spent a week in Schaumburg for a convention and Wildfire was the busiest restaurant we went to all week. And based on my visit I see why. I had the filet trio and it was excellent. I choose the horseradish, Parmesan and blue cheese encrusted filets. They were all good but couldn't quite discern which filet had which "encrustment". Aside from that, the steaks were excellent. Well let me get started. The hostess, was really pleasant with a smile on her face. My guest and I got here before 3:00 p.m. and it looked fairly busy for this time of the day. It took a good 10 minutes, before our waiter came to the table. But again, it looked a little busy. Our waiter finally came to our table, never told us his name. But he was pleasant and took our drink orders. We ordered appetizers to start. Calamari and crab cakes. The calamari was pretty good, but we have had better crab cakes elsewhere. This was not our first time at Wildfire. But this was our first time at this location. I ordered the moreno chicken dish with argula. It was pretty good, but nothing to brag about. I opted for the bake potato and there was a slice of cheese placed on top. Terrible presentation. My guest ordered, a fliet mignon and it look like cube steak. We both have eaten plenty of filet mignons. But we have never seen one completely flattented as if it was a piece of mystery meat. The ambiance was okay for that time of the day. However, we both were not impressed with the food. The only thing we had that was very good was the "side car martini" The food itself will not make me return. read more
