My friends and I were looking for a good breakfast/brunch spot that we could stop in on the way to the beach. I'm a faithful Yelp user and so I came across the Wildflower Cafe....thank goodness!!! This place was amazing; from the location, to the cleanliness of the dining room to the beautiful colors they used to decorate and most importantly to the food. Whatever you do, order some biscuits. They are homemade and come with homemade honey butter and strawberry preserves and they are delicious!! My friends got the country omelet but I got the French toast which is actually a bread pudding!! How can you go wrong with dessert for breakfast?!? They also have homemade muffins and breads that I was dying to try but that will have to wait for a return trip. Every dish that walked past us looked amazing and I highly recommend this place! I can't wait to go back for more biscuits and to try something on the lunch side. Blondie and I went out for a nice brunch, which we rarely do, as I normally cook breakfast on Sunday mornings. Glad we did. We started with a Bloody Mary for me and a Mimosa for Blondie. Both were well received by us as they were delicious. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of cheese grits. The toast is toasted challa bread which is as thick as Texas toast but more flavorful. The eggs were scrambled perfectly and sat on ample amounts of thinly sliced nicely ripe avocado. My cheese grits were creamy and tasty. Blondie got a Wildfire special crepe with cream cheese and Portobello mushrooms and it was also tasty and well-presented. She had roasted potatoes as a side and they were soft and crispy at the same time. Nice. A biscuit comes with her meal and it's a big drop biscuit which was pretty good but a little doughy. The service was prompt and attentive but no overbearing. All in all, a meal and a place worth driving to. read more

Location: Cute, cozy with a very open feeling and very clean. Service: For me this is 50% of the dining experience that is why only three stars. This is a gem for both for breakfast and lunch! Their deep dish quiche lorraine is the best I've ever had. Their cheese grits are to die for. Their biscuits are amazing, especially when paired with their homemade jam and honey butter. The only negative is they're always packed! If you don't get there by 11:30 for lunch, you'll have to wait. It's worth the wait though. Returned 3 days in a row and ate a different breakfast each day. Wow! The biscuits are amazing. Puffy, crisp outside, so light they supply a butterfly net with each order so they don't float away. We had passed this spot on previous rides on the pinellas trail and always wanted to try their breakfast. So this past weekend before our trail ride we did. It didn't disappoint. It is such a quaint little place that I felt like I should be wearing white gloves and a Sunday hat. We had the pot of tea and there are plenty of selections, we had the earl grey and lavendar tea. The earl grey waa wonderful and lavendar tea was okay. It smelled more than tasted like lavendar. but it was good for a cold day. I had the vegetable quiche with a spring salad and homemade biscuits with homemade jam. If you are in Clearwater, you should atop by. Came here for a bachelorette brunch and left very satisfied. We were quick to be seated and were taken care of so wonderfully. Our food came out very fast and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. We are in the Clearwater area about once and month and have gotten to the point where we eat at Wildflower pretty much every day! They have the best tomato bisque I've had (and apparently word gets around because my husband and I were at the car wash and I said something about wanting tomato bisque for lunch and the woman next to me said, "At Wildflower? The Wildflower Cafe is a quaint little spot with a comfortable atmosphere, friendly service, and fresh breakfast that is a nice break from the diner style food that is typically served for breakfast at most places. I absolutely swooned for the mocha latte with fresh homemade whipped cream that was dense and delicious. My party also shared the baked French toast which was warm and dripping with sweet goodness and that same to die for whipped cream. For my meal, I had the Sunday omelet with mushrooms, caramelized onion, and Swiss cheese. The cheese wasn't quite melted but the flavor of the omelet was unique and savory. Breakfast came with a fresh biscuit, honey butter, and fresh strawberry preserves! This place is one not to miss. Hubby and stopped in here based on reviews and the availability of vegetarian items. Cute place, we sat outside on the patio since the weather wasn't too hot yet. The flies were a bit of a bother when we ate, but not horrible. The vegetarian tomato basil bisque was very nice. You could tell it was homemade with small pieces of tomato. How much are we willing to suffer for excellent food? After many trips to this establishment, I've had it. It is time to solve the perennial problem of long waits in a rather uncomfortable al fresco waiting space. I respect the fact that they are small and their food is excellent. But then, take reservations or provide a call ahead list, or go electronic and provide a waiting list online. Anything but the present system. By the time you sit, you are soo irritated that you cannot enjoy the food. If they insist on their nearthenthal system, then for crying out loud , improve your waiting room by providing shade and some temperature mitigation. From now on, I'll try the order and pick up but most likely, like many good ideas that don't adapt to new circumstances, It will just fade away in my memory. Too bad. read more
