Cute shop, but the Italian wedding soup was a big disappointment. Only a single meatball, suggesting the pot wasn't stirred before ladeling, it was too hot to eat right away, and after it cooled off, the taste just wasn't there. The turkey BLT was okay. If you are a regular patron of wildflower you know that weekends holidays like Labor day that breakfast runs until 2 pm, so since we were flying outst 5pm. We got to the airport way early to eat breakfast for the 3 of us that were traveling to plan my father in law's funeral. Not knowing what we were heading toward when we go across the country we made due we were going to a long stay in the terminal and it being one if my kids 1st time on a plane. The menu was much completely. There was no cesddffslf option oh protein such as salmon I ended up getting chicken which was out barely visible. There was more chick peas than lettuce which was kale ldont think I had any I got an extra dressing, which I should have been notified that I did not need. I also ordered a scone, which was hard as a rock and non-edible two hours later and thrown away. My son got a kids sandwich and an extra cookie and a flavor he did not order, but since we were running tight on time and there was a line, I did not complain to Management I also ordered a pecan loaf since it was Christmas time and the Christmas loaf or pecan loaf was very very very dry. Overall, it was a poor experience compared to experiences prior at different parts of the airport that were just for pick up which I utilized on my way back and I came back at dinner time and got the cow romaine salad with adding chicken and it was a very good salad with extra dressing. My family and I have been regulars of Wildflower, especially on Sundays and when we go up to Sedona. So overall, I was disappointed by the airports experience, especially considering the price being much higher because you're in the terminal.. and we ended up sitting next to the pilot of our plane and he did say that the quality of Wildflower has gone down, especially when he has more than three hours between flights. We just know now not to go to Wildflower or pre-order via the app.. we will only use the app for Wildflower at the Glendale arrowhead and Litchfield Park locations. Been on quite a few flights this past year, and as far as airport food goes, this place was pretty solid. My breakfast sandwich, though a bit on the greasy side, was warm, flavorful, and fresh. Will always come here for breakfast and coffee when I'm in this airport no matter how far away I am. I'll book longer layovers just to make sure. People are always polite and have good manners. This is very decent place to get something quick in the Phoenix Airport. It does have hot sandwiches as well as cold sandwiches. Its spicy Cuban sandwich is amazing. It also has good selection of hot and cold beverages and breakfast choices. The sitting area is very limited and normally crowded. read more

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving, we were flying home, and had a layover at PHX. During the layover, I decided to order from Wildflower for dinner, because... frankly, the really high average rating intrigued me; it's not a thing you usually find with airport food. 1. The wait to order was long, probably because the order taking was slow. And the food took a while to be prepared. But it's an airport, so I guess that can be excused. 2. I ordered two sandwiches, as well as two kids meals. For the kids meals, after having paid, I was informed that they only had one cookie, and I could choose chips as a substitute. The only option available was Sun Chips. There was a long line already and the idea of asking for a refund seemed like a hassle, so I was like, yeah I guess I'll take the chips that old people like. And then I ran back to the gate (in a different terminal), because you know, planes leave without you if you dilly-dally. On the plane, I discovered that they hadn't included the fruit cups for the kids meals as well. So basically the kids meals were just sandwiches at this point. And one cookie to split between a 4-y/o and a 2-y/o. Thanks for that fun little opportunity to teach young siblings (in a very public setting) about sharing, when they naturally gravitate towards selflessness at that age... /s 3. The sandwiches that my wife and I had were good though. No complaints there. We tried the Spicy Cuban, and the Wildflower Grinder, and both hit the spot, but I preferred the Wildflower Grinder. 4. I went to Wildflower's "Contact Us" page and told them about this less than great experience with the kids' meals. Some lady reached out. I think she said she was a district manager or something. She said she was going to refund me for the whole meal. I told her I wasn't looking for a refund to the whole meal, just a refund for the items that were incomplete. I was informed that a check was on its way to my home (my address was provided when requested), and that was last year (hurhurhur). In all seriousness though, that was several weeks ago and no check. Edit: Wildflower did send a check. It was delayed, but it did get to me. And because it was delayed, they sent me a check for the full price of my airport meal (as opposed to just the part that I had requested; the two kids' meals) as a "sorry for the delay." Which was pretty gracious of them, so I appreciate the extra effort with their service recovery. And now I get why they have such a high average rating: Either people like them because their experience is great. Or if something goes wrong, Wildflower seem pretty intentional about making it right for the customer. So I'm contributing to the high average now as well. read more

I've said it in other reviews and I'll say it again - Phoenix Airport has excellent food options. Our find this time was Wildflower. Very flavorful sandwich options at a competitive price point. If you ask them to wrap the halves separately, you have an affordable meal for two. We enjoyed a Turkey BLT Deluxe, with avocado and chipotle Mayo. Delicious. Needed a quick breakfast that was not fast food quality so I stopped here. My breakfast sandwich looked better than it tasted. The bacon was good however I found it hard to finish. I think the pairing of pesto with bacon might have been odd and the bread wasn't holding the sandwich well. The salted caramel latte was good, they don't have almond milk but they did have oat milk and I don't believe they charged me extra for that which I appreciated. I will say maybe it was my fault for ordering the ultimate bacon and not foreseeing that maybe eggs, arugula, pesto and bacon might not go well together. read more

Very kind service at an airport establishment with a tasty kids sized sandwich for a big kid! The kids size is actually great for a small eater like me that doesn't like many toppings. I chose turkey, lettuce and tomato with mustard all on wheat bread and it suited my taste perfectly! The turkey was not salty and tasted homemade while the bread was delicious! I ordered the Spicy Cuban Sandwich today based upon previous reviews. The flavor was good but the sandwich was clearly reheated in a microwave based upon the sogginess of the bread and the liquid grease from the meat and cheese that covered the paper wrapping and entire dish sandwich. If the restaurant had used a sandwich press to heat the sandwich and toast the bread, which is how Cuban sandwiches are traditionally made, the sandwich would have been much better and received 5 stars from me. read more

Had some time before my next flight this past Friday afternoon and so glad to find Wildflower. Kept it simple w the Italian wedding soup and a sourdough roll. Both super tasty and hit the spot. The sandwiches and salads looked really great too. The cookie display really worked as I went back for one. I rarely buy sweets but the super thin chocolate chip cookie was calling my name. Delicious. In addition to the food, the team working was super friendly--helpful, kind, quick and thoughtful. Liked how the display was lined w the butchered paper and stickers. The little eating area looked cute but headed back on over to gate area to eat. It was the last spot at the end to eat so seemed a bit more calm down there --so good ambiance. I guess I got lucky as my gate was right next to this small restaurant. I just wanted a pastry and coffee and didn't expect much. For a bit under $10 I got a cranberry scone and regular coffee. They thankfully had oat milk and WOW the coffee was great. They were short staffed (2 staff members didn't show up) and the manager handled it professionally. The cashier was awesome. Loved the scone, not too dry. Would highly recommend for an airport spot! read more

I travel a lot and have visited this location a few times. Every time I've been here, the service is 110%. The place is always clean and the staff are on the ball. During my last visit, I saw a kid spill a drink and it got all over everything (parents, the stroller, kids, etc). Immediately, a manager (Chris) stopped what he was doing to help. Not usually a big deal, but the mom was very frazzled and he could tell. The situation resolved in minutes and it was obvious the parents genuinely appreciated him for taking charge of the situation and helping with the with the accident. I ordered the ultimate grilled cheese and there just wasn't anything special about it. It had way too much cheese (yes, that's possible with a grilled cheese) and hardly any tomatoes or arugula. I've been here a few times when I land in Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. I usually get a soup and sandwich, hot tea and cookie. The lady manager at the time was very friendly and helpful. The Menu changed a bit; but I still tried their soup and turkey cranberry sandwich. The soup was good but the sandwich wasn't like the ones I had before. Not much flavor. Maybe because the workers who made it wasn't enthusiastic. But the new lady manager was very attentive at asking if we enjoyed our meal and when I mentioned how I didn't really like the Turkey cranberry sandwich, she quickly refunded me and gave me another sandwich of choice. I have been on what it felt like a never-ending search for a good, healthy and tasty food at airports. When I traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, I found this spot, a bit far from my gate, but I was willing to walk 15 -20 min inside the terminal for a good food. Seems like a popular spot at this airport, it had a long line, but the line moved quickly with efficient staffs. They had some seating, but it was mostly taken. Most of the people were ordering salad or sandwiches, and they were pre-made and ready to go in the window showcase. Their staff make them in the kitchen right in the back, so they are pretty darn fresh! It helped with the purchasing process, and to move the line along. Since I was going to get on a flight home, and I was not getting any food on the plane, I decided to get a scone and a salad. I chose Chocolate Chip Scone which was bigger than I expected. It was very satisfying and delicious! Then I found a nice surprise in a bag, my salad came with a complimentary bread! I could tell it was not some cheap piece of bread, but high quality one. How awesome! For salad, I chose Wildflower Chopped Salad, and it was a really nice, big salad! It was super fresh and put together beautifully. The quality was very noticeably high. Lots of texture, flavor and ingredients mixed together in a perfect harmony and became one big delicious family! An awesome salad!!! I also couldn't help myself from getting one of their popular cookies... Chocolate Chip Hazelnut Cookie with Sea Salt which was huge, bigger than my hand. It was soft, moist, again with all the high quality ingredients. Yum!!! Kudos to wildflowers! Now I know it is possible to eat well at an airport! Everything I had was just amazingly delicious, high quality, healthy... All we need now is to have Wildflower Bread Company at each and every airports! read more

My review is for the location inside Terminal 4 at Sky Harbor. I've eaten here every trip to PHX so far and I'm a fan. Wish we had this restaurant in my town!! The employees are SUPER friendly and helpful. The food is healthy and delicious right in the middle of the airport which is a treat. Sandwiches, salads, soups - all good. I got a BLT with avo sandwich on 9 grain bread, chips, bottled water and a muffin for later for $19.00. That is a steal for airport food, and well worth it. They have enough seating for you to hang out a bit before getting squished onto your flight. It's before security also. read more

The 45 minute layover at PHX afforded me only a few minutes after traversing the terminals to pick up a quick bite to eat. Good ol' Panda Express had a line extending out in to the open so we ended up just next door at the bread place. Wildflower Grilled Cheese Swiss, imported brie, cheddar, organic arugula & tomato on grilled Nine Grain $7.59 Bought one of these and brought it on the plane. That turned out to be a great move as the plane remained at the gate for another hour (which has nothing to do with the eatery) as we ate the sandwich still on the ground. I think the consensus was that this sandwich should have had some sort of meat in it. It was a good but pretty small bite to eat. Airport food will always carry a bit of a premium with it- this was worth it for the stop-and-go nature of my visit. read more

Looking for something substantial after a very long and delayed NYC flight into Phoenix. Boy they sure were busy, they just got slammed with a huge to go order. I opted for getting one of their ready made Turkey, tomato, Brie sandwiches. Very very healthy portion. Topped it off with a moist and mouthwatering cranberry scone and a bootle of water. Tab was under $20, which is the norm in airports. However this sandwich was filling unlike the usual bland airport sandwiches on stale tasteless bread. Although the sandwiches and salads are made ahead of time, the bread is still fresh and so are the rest of the items on the sandwich. I had the tomato, arugula, and brie sandwich for $9 (remember, it is an airport after all, so prices are going to be high). A sandwich is just a sandwich, and usually what makes or breaks it is the bread. Well, the bread really made this one - it was fresh, soft, and oh so tasty. I was so happy to find Wildflower while waiting for my flight. It was breakfast time, and they had several breakfast options, as well as various bakery items. I chose the Wildflower breakfast sandwich, that comes with egg, bacon and cheese on a brioche bun. Something told me to just get a croissant from the case. The sandwich was missing cheese, making it dry, and the scrambled egg patty was burnt, very dry and didn't even have salt on it. The bun was an odd choice. I had a couple bites, then just ate the bacon and threw out the sandwich. I hate to waste money like that! My husband was excited to get coffee from Wildflower because he said it's always mild. This coffee was super pungent, like it was coming from the bottom of an old pot. I did get the salted chocolate brownie and it was fantastic.
