We've been meaning to go and finally went on our anniversary, loved the salmon and the atmosphere. Drinks were great too.

Our rating is based on 1. service-***(used dishes sat.), 2. food-***(lack of seasoning), ambiance- ***(loud), price-****. It was a Sunday evening and the place was packed. Before the manager comes at me, it was Gem week. This restaurant has been through many Gem shows. So that is not an excuse for the experience we had. Guide your waitstaff to perhaps mention that it could be a few minutes for clearing or food to arrive ect. This goes a long way. We were a party of 4 with a reservation. We were seated within 20 minutes of arrival. We ordered drinks then entrees were, Spinach pappardelle, Shrimp & avocado bowl, tasty, lemon grass skewered scallops, total lack of flavor and seasoning, and the grass fed New York strip suppose to be Medium rare, over cooked. Chic. Music. Little candle and flowers on each table. Unable to hear each other talk at times. The servers wear cute little ties with spoon holders. I had the rib ravioli with mushrooms. It was delectable. But not really enough to make me full. My boyfriend that the rib plate. It was good. The calamari as the appetizer had lettuce with it. It definitely needed a dip with it. We had to ask to get any bread. The bread was good though, they served it with oil which we didn't love. Bread would have been better with butter instead. I went here for a late Saturday lunch and by the time I left at 5:30pm the restaurant was pretty full. The salmon was amazing. The sauce was so unique, I've never tasted one like it before on a salmon. The side of Brussels sprouts and squash was good as well. The scallops were drenched in salt. I met friends here for lunch and we sat outside. It's been awhile since I had been here and prefer outside because it gets noisy inside. the service was very good. The bread was nice to start with. I had the fish and chips. The fish was cooked well and came with fries and cole slaw. My friends ordered a dessert, cinnamon doughnuts with vanilla custard and berry marmalade. I didn't plan on having any but they talked me into the doughnut holes. Wow, what a great dessert! It was delicious. It would be worth the trip just for that. read more

This place is one of my fav spot in Tucson. Came here twice and quality has been consistently superb. Service is phenomenal with great service and attention to details. Vibe of the restuarant kind of reminds me of Newport Beach of Cali but very relax. For appetizers, I always get their crisp calamari, which is made with perfection. They didn't make it soggy and flavor combine together uniquely. Love love love their black mussels, it's a must. The soup/sauce that the mussels are cooked in is divine. I always get this when I come. For main entree, I highly recommend their spinach pappardelle. This dish is unique in terms of flavor and ingredients they cook. If you got pine nut allergy, prob wanna avoid this dish. If you are looking to get your daily veggies in, this is a good dish to get. I got their braised beef short rib too with friends and this was really good if you are a meat lover. Overall, this is one of my fav restaurant to have in Tucson and I am picky with food as there is limitation with belly space and money. Dinner was lovely. We had a group of 13 and our server Nathan and the server he was training Aaron were wonderful! Attentive, fun and best servers we have had in a long time. Food was good. They serve a bread with a dipping sauce to start and it was yummy. Expresso Martinis we perfection. We took Nathan's recommendations: appetizer we had the yellow tail dish and it was fresh and flavorful. Main course, short Rib Ravioli and the shrimp dish. Other people in our party had braised short ribs, Bolognese, a few salads. Everyone loved their food! Dessert we had the doughnuts and OMG. We have been here many many times but today has issue with hostess. We walked in and another customer was ahead of us. That customer proceeded to text multiple times then made two phone calls while we waited. I told the hostess we were ready to be seated and she told me she was attending to the woman ahead of us. I told her no she was not that the woman was texting and calling and we have waited long enough. We left in a huff. We had been coming here for twelve years. Met my business partner here for lunch. Drove down from Phoenix. Like most Fox concepts, I anticipated this one having a vibe all its own and it did. Walked indoors to be seated, it was freezing and incredibly loud so we opted to sit outside Outdoor seating was nice (storming most the day so not hot). Waiter was nice. Explained the menu well & was prompt with initial drinks. Ultimately I ordered grilled artichokes for the table, Fish & Chips for myself (came with fries and slaw). I had opted for grilled asparagus vs fries. Artichoke was decent. We ate the vast majority of it. Fish and no chips were good however they plated the slaw and fish on the same plate so after a couple bites the rest of my crispy fish on my plate was soggy, so that was a little underwhelming. One of my favorite places to enjoy a nice meal in Tucson. Service is top notch without being pretentious, the atmosphere is tranquil but casual with cream colored walls and blue velvet booths but the best part is the food! The food is always delicious! Chef Cesar can do no wrong!The potsticker appetizer is so flavorful with probably the best yuzu sauce I've ever tasted. For lunch the chicken salad sandwich is my go to. It has tender white meat chicken with red grapes but is still more savory than sweet and without an overpowering amount of onions that many places have a tendency to use, it's served on toasted brown sugar wheat bread with havarti cheese and avocado, a perfect balance of flavors My all time favorite item on the menu is the lemongrass scallops! All served a gorgeous golden brown outside but perfect medium inside. They practically melt in your mouth. They're served on a generous bed of forbidden black rice with arugula, spinach and snap peas. If ever had to choose a last meal, the lemongrass scallops would be that meal. For dessert, wrap it all up with a Bar of Sin which is a chocolate lovers dream. read more

I was in need of a lite evening snack so my friends Perry and Deborah took me to one of their favourite spots that most definitely did not disappoint. We opted to sit out in the patio, full of shades and misters that kept the patio cool. I ordered a pre-dinner cocktail, Fig & Ginger Mule which was deliciously refreshing. Our server extraordinaire Cassandra was absolutely magnificent with her knowledge of delectable delights on the menu. It was difficult to choose my main course but that was easily resolved. Perry ordered the Short Rib Ravioli and Deborah ordered the special, Rainbow Trout ,so I could take sample of each. I opted for the Lemongrass Skewered Scallops which they both had ordered before so there was no need for me to share with them. I paired my Scallops with a Spanish Albariño which was a marriage made in heaven but when I paired the Sandeman port with the Raspberry torte, it was a rocky marriage that ended in divorce, a nice Italian prosecco would have been a better choice. I do declare that this was the most delightful culinary experience and will most definitely return to check out some items that I eyeballed on the menu. read more

I came here for lunch on a beautiful Saturday after a November morning hike. And I was hungrrryyyy! I was concerned I might not get a table when I first arrived because the place was packed. But it was just me, and the hosts tucked me away at a small table just outside the door on the patio. Perfect! I was tempted by so much of the menu, but I chose the chopped kale salad with salmon. It was SOOOO delicious. And it was a good-sized dish, especially for the price! I wish i didn't have so many other resyaurants to try... otherwise, I would have come back for a few more meals to try other things on the menu (or maybe that kale salad again... it was just that good). Taste wise everything was solid! The artichoke was ok don't think we would get it again. Overall we will be coming back! Our waiter was prompt and attentive throughout our stay. The menu was varied and gave a palatable hint as to what we would experience. Everything was marvelous! The salmon was AMAZING. We came here on my Mother's 80th birthday. This is the original Sam Fox restaurant, we've been coming here since it first opened. So we expected exceptional service and great food. We were not disappointed. The server was fantastic. Very engaging and knowledgeable about the entire menu including the wine options. I started with a glass of the Valrvan Pinot Noir, it was perfect. I had the large pour at $22. I rarely eat beef , but was hungry for a steak. The New York strip was the perfect choice. Cooked to order. Served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The presentation was as expected. We order the Cinnamon Doughnuts served with a vanilla custard berry marmalade mixture . We actually had 3 orders for the table. I'm wild about Wildflower (yeah, I said it) for its overall concept, thoughtful menu, and stylish setting, including the greenspace elements that zhuzh up the sidewalk patio. Our artichoke app was a bit of a fight (could've been prepped a little more), and the cauliflower main was a little underwhelming -- just chunks of vegetables instead of the grilled-slab moment it could've been.
