AMAZING! I had been to this restaurant once and been wanted to come back! I really loved their Sonoran restaurant week menu choices. Everything was perfect!!! First of all, I need to commend our server Dan. It was an extremely busy night and he was handling at least 6 tables. I saw him running around super busy but still attending every table with a smile. My boyfriend's soda was never empty! From the beginning to the end he provided top notch service! As for food, just wow. from the bread to entree to dessert, everything was excellent just how I remembered from the first time I went there! Their hummus is amazing! Their braised short ribs is to die for! Their dessert (bar of sin) is a perfection! Love love love this restaurant! The only negative is it could get a little loud. So if you don't like that, maybe it's better to sit outside. It's not to the point where you can't hear your party talking though. read more

Took the family out to an early dinner at Wildflower and we were not disappointed. It's located in the casas adobes shopping center and is adorned with all kinds of greenery and vines. It makes for a very inviting and comfortable entry. The dining room is beautifully appointed and I love the open kitchen, it really engages all of your senses We were seated in a booth and decided on the winter sangria, calamari and New England clam chowder for starters. The sangria was fantastic fruity and not too sweet. The calamari is fried in this crispy batter and serve with this beautiful green salad and dressing. I've not had that presentation before but it was absolutely delicious. The bread and oil were great accompaniments. For entrees I ordered the short rib ravioli, my mom had the lemongrass scallops, and my hubby ordered the braised short rib. Each dish in addition to being gorgeous completely melted in your mouth. The raviolis were tender and flavorful served with mushrooms and greens. The sauce and drizzle of demi glace really put it over the top. My husband RAVED at the short ribs, I managed to grab a bite and he did not exaggerate. The meat was silky and served with truffle potatoes. We all tasted each other's dishes and my Mom crowned herself winner with her scallop dish. It was accompanied by forbidden rice and green peas. The scallops were perfect seared and some of the sweetest I've tasted in Tucson! Absolutely scrumptious! The service was top tier, attentive but not overly so. What a gem. I absolutely love the gorgeous blue/green color scheme, it had a feeling of real Southern charm. I actually felt a bit underdressed. There is outdoor seating, the spray mist helps you stay cooler. I'm not used to the extreme heat so we sat inside. Our waiter, Kahiko, was such a lovely, polite young man. Always came by to make sure everything was perfect for us. We started with some fresh bread. It was all about that amazing homemade olive oil dip with the seasonings. Gotta start with a couple of apps, a grilled artichoke and their must order of Yellowtail Crudo. OMG, we couldn't get enough of this dish. The soy and citrus juices had our tongues dancing. Whose idea is it to drown a salad in dressing? I literally had to push my food to the side and put a piece of bread in the bowl to absorb all the excess liquid. The shrimp and avocado were on top so they were good but the black rice was swimming. Service was attentive. Sat in the covered outdoor patio. Very comfortable as the weather changes although leaking canvas overhead had some tables unavailable and watch your step for the big puddle in the middle. Inside is ridiculously loud. Our baby fell asleep right before we arrived and they were very accommodating to push our reservation back a few minutes and allow us to pick an area that would work with a sleeping baby. We sat on the outdoor patio and it was perfect! Once we got seated, it took a while for a server to come by though, even for water. Ordered a few cocktails that were very well made. We ordered the grilled artichokes and calamari. Artichokes were okay, calamari was delicious! Ordered the short rib and Mediterranean cauliflower for our entrees, both were good but not EXCEPTIONAL. Not many vegetarian options. I would return for the drinks, but not sure about food. read more

I had to ask the cashier if she would look us up. Once we were served, again they forgot to swing by to see if we'd like anything (like dessert!) We had a fabulous dinner on a Tuesday which is half priced bottles of wine day. The price for a full bottle ended up being not much more than a glass or two of wine so we ended up ordering three bottles for the four of us. We ended up taking re-corked bottles home. Great deal. From the appetizers through the dessert everything was great. Our sever, Jesus, was incredible in guiding us through our choices and keeping us entertained with his lively spirit. I was vacillating between two dishes so he said he would surprise me with one. It was the braised short rib raviolis and it, along with calamari with arugula, was amazing. Great service all around. We went on a work lunch and as always food was outstanding. The only bad thing is that they took a long long time to bring our drinks ( like 30 minutes) and our food (about 40 minutes), luckily we were not in a rush but we were hungry and thirsty! The food was OK but not up to the hype that one would expect given the reviews on YELP. The calamari appetizer was good, the Brussel Sprout appetizer was nothing special. The short rib ravioli was disappointing, the salmon was OK and the parpadalle was also just OK. Just nothing worthy of four or five stars. The service was friendly but inattentive. We have to get silverware off of a neighboring table since they had cleared the silverware after the appetizers and right before our mains arrived. The noise level in the main dining area was too loud for conversation. If you come here, ask for an outside table then you might have a chance of hearing your table mates. read more

Oh. My. God! I LOVED Wildflower for a number of reasons. The very best part of my experience was our INCREDIBLE server. They were extremely attentive, very amicable, and had delicious recommendations. I had the hugo spritz--a light and bubbly cocktail that I honestly could have drank like water. It was so refreshing that I would have believed if it wasn't alcoholic! My partner and I shared their crispy calamari (which wasn't very crispy), topped with the most delicious sauce I've ever tasted with calamari! (I don't think I'll ever find a calamari as good as Wildflower's!) For my entree, I ordered the pork scallopini: I try not to really order just *meat* when I eat at restaurants (because why would I eat something that I can make at home?), but the sides with this dish really made the pork chops stand out. Their mashed potatoes have such a unique, creamy texture! I'm honestly drooling thinking about it again. My partner ordered the short rib ravioli which were soooo delicious, I almost wanted to trade. The short rib ravioli is kind of a smaller serving, but we didn't mind since we planned on ordering dessert! We got the Banoffee Trifle to share. It was the perfect amount of sweetness! I loved the texture and the dulce de leche was sooooo good. I'd definitely order it again (or twice more!). Finally, I would like to compliment the restaurant on their gorgeous atmosphere. Braised beef short rib includes fregola risotto, roasted mushroom, brussels sprout, and horseradish gremolata. This dish needed salt, but is good otherwise after I added some. Wood fired NY strip steak includes a side of charred broccolini, loaded smashed potato, and a red wine sauce. Great steak and potatoes. While the steak was not a perfect medium rare, it was tasty. Looking for casual and trendy restaurants with great food and great service than look no further. Four of us went out last night after the wife's conference for a late night dinner. The Lebanese hummus was great with flat bread and vegetables. I have to eat gluten free and the pork wrapped loin was excellent. It was nice and crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside I could cut it with my fork. Our server Brittny provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I think I reviewed Wildflower once before, but our last visit makes a follow up review necessary. My wife and I came for our anniversary and we were both very excited about it, knowing how good it always is. We were lucky to sit in Jenna's section, and she recommended some good dishes. We had a few new things and followed her suggestions on some things. As always, everything was spectacular and the service was even better. One of my daughter's very favorite places for dinner in Tucson and we have spent many fun family moments at this restaurant together. The ambience is comfortable and sophisticated, the food is fresh and top notch and the service is exceptional. But I think the main thing that sells me on Wildflower happens to be the guests. The first time we went, she brought her 3 month boy the people sitting around us were absolutely charmed by him and it made her feel so welcomed and comfortable. We made a reservation and were able to sit outside on the outer patio as we brought our dogs with us. The waiter was really nice and turned the heat lamps on for us as it was a bit chilly. He even brought out a bowl of water for our dogs as well. We ordered drinks and our food pretty quickly. I got the blood orange Paloma which was good. The hummus was split by the table and we got fresh veggies with it as well as the pita. It was delicious. The tomatoes and fresh parsley on top were really good and the za'atar sprinkled on the side mixed really well. For my main I got the pork chops. They were very good. It came with two decent sized boneless pork chops over mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. There was also an apple chutney glaze drizzled over the pork. It was all very good and went perfectly when getting some of each in one bite. The overall experience was good and if we are in Tucson again, we will make sure to eat here. read more

Oh man, where to start. This is a lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu - and I only had appetizers - was stupendous!!! The cold salon? Knocked me on my butt. It was gorgeous crunchy silky and righteous. The artichokes had bits of char. Chefs kiss! I'd eat Brussels sprouts with every meal if they were prepared the way chef prepares them. We came to celebrate my birthday and from the moment we arrived, it felt special. There was a birthday card waiting at the table, and our waitress wished me a happy birthday right away. It was such a thoughtful start to the night. I had the lemongrass scallops with forbidden black rice, my favorite dish here, and once again it was absolutely delicious. Everyone at our table loved their meals too. To make the evening even better, my dessert was on the house and came out with a candle. A sweet gesture that made me smile. Another amazing find for my trip to Tucson. And what is crazy is they are NOT new but been there for 26 years!! Let's talk about the Wildflower at 7037 N. Oracle Road. Absolutely phenomenal in every essence of the word. The decor is very modern, and I loved the 20 foot ceilings. I didn't feel crowded at all even though it was very busy. Again, an above average restaurant by far with a single page menu. I tell people all the time, you can tell a lot about the food you're about to receive by the size of the menu. I started with in-house hummus and homemade pita. Spectacular, that first but the freshness consumes your palate, and you start that shoulder swivel back and forth happy dance. I loved the fresh herbs and ripe tomatoes along the edge of the plate, and it was far larger than I had anticipated. The Filet, O...M...G... I took that first bite, and no joke said "Shut Up" when I started eating it. Cooked to perfection is a strong enough description, but it's all I can think of at the moment. Stephanie was the bartender, and she made a wicked delicious Manhattan, and they use the real Cocktail cherries and cheap ones. The veggies of peas and asparagus, Fingerling Potatoes just complimented the filet so well. The one thing I didn't enjoy paired with it was the Parsley. That to me was very confusing for my palette. I would ask to hold that in the future. And sweet little baby Jesus, that dessert... A strawberry olive cake with homemade whip cream and strawberry ice cream... I have never eaten a dessert so slowly in fear of finishing too quickly and having to order a second one. Stephanie came through again recommending the Espresso Martini. She could just be the coach because she does nothing but win. The crispy exterior of the cake played so well with the cool creamy ice cream and decadent fluffy buttery cake.. there was so much taking place sensation wise in one bite, I could say on the verge of an overload. This was our first time at Wildflower (as we were traveling), and wow, did we have a wonderful dining experience! Though we would have preferred patio seating they were veey busy and only had indoor to offer us. Samantha was our server and she greeted us with a smile and asked if we would like bread and butter, which we said "yes",- if you aren't gf we highly recommend the sourdough bread. As an appetizer we had the Brussels sprouts with bacon, tender in the inside, crispy on the outside, tossed in a yummy sauce, generous portion and so delicious! Our entrées included the Asian Chicken Salad, and the Short Rib Ravioli. The salad was packed with a tasty shaved chicken tossed with fresh greens in a light Asian vinegarette topped with crispy wonton noodles, Deliicious!!! The Ravioli pasta itself was very tender and thin. The short rib stuffing inside the ravioli was so tenderhad an exceptional flavor all topped with a very light cream sauce. Each bite just melted in your mouth. Samantha offered us a dessert menu, but we were too full at this point. Chatting with Samantha after our dinner told us that the 2 entrées we ordered have been a favorite among diners and has been on the menu for 26 years. When we pass through Tucson again, Wildflower will definitely be our #1 choice for dining. read more
