Service is top notch without being pretentious, the atmosphere is tranquil but casual with cream colored walls and blue velvet booths but the best part is the food! The food is always delicious! Chef Cesar can do no wrong!The potsticker appetizer is so flavorful with probably the best yuzu sauce I've ever tasted. For lunch the chicken salad sandwich is my go to. It has tender white meat chicken with red grapes but is still more savory than sweet and without an overpowering amount of onions that many places have a tendency to use, it's served on toasted brown sugar wheat bread with havarti cheese and avocado, a perfect balance of flavors My all time favorite item on the menu is the lemongrass scallops! All served a gorgeous golden brown outside but perfect medium inside. They practically melt in your mouth. They're served on a generous bed of forbidden black rice with arugula, spinach and snap peas. If ever had to choose a last meal, the lemongrass scallops would be that meal. For dessert, wrap it all up with a Bar of Sin which is a chocolate lovers dream. read more

Oh, this place was good. But I think all Fox restaurants are amazing (even the ones that started as Fox and left). I came to Wildflower with a friend while I was back in Tucson. It was great. It was obviously a popular restaurant. My friend and I had the same food. The fire roasted artichoke and the soup of the day. We have similar tastes. I love artichoke season. I'm wild about Wildflower (yeah, I said it) for its overall concept, thoughtful menu, and stylish setting, including the greenspace elements that zhuzh up the sidewalk patio. Our artichoke app was a bit of a fight (could've been prepped a little more), and the cauliflower main was a little underwhelming -- just chunks of vegetables instead of the grilled-slab moment it could've been. But on the flip, the pork main, red Zin, and bread were excellent, and the wait service was outstanding. Looking forward to a return visit. read more

We were in the area for a doctor appointment and stopped in for a bite. We were very impressed with the lovely architecture, decor and overall ambiance of the restaurant. Our waiter was prompt and attentive throughout our stay. The menu was varied and gave a palatable hint as to what we would experience. Everything was marvelous! The salmon was AMAZING. We have been here many many times but today has issue with hostess. We walked in and another customer was ahead of us. That customer proceeded to text multiple times then made two phone calls while we waited. I told the hostess we were ready to be seated and she told me she was attending to the woman ahead of us. I told her no she was not that the woman was texting and calling and we have waited long enough. We left in a huff. We had been coming here for twelve years. The service is impeccable and the food is not only like a picture, it is an adventure of combined tastes in your mouth. We started with the hummus, which can easily be a meal in itself. I chose Wildflower to celebrate my birthday this year. Our party was sat in a corner booth close to the front door. There was a little bit of a cold breeze, so bring sweater if you're near the door! We bypassed appetizers and ordered our mains - spinach pappardelle, short rib ravioli, braised beef short rib, shrimp and avocado bowl, fish and chips, and a salad. Truffle fries, creamed corn, and broccolini were also ordered. I absolutely loved the spinach pappardelle. The pasta was cooked al dente and was served with tomatoes, chicken, and pine nuts in a flavorful broth. Pasta can be very heavy, but this dish was light and bright and I honestly loved every bite. The creamed corn reminded me more of a corn souffle. It was light and creamy thanks to the mascarpone cheese. My husband had the braised beef short rib. The meat was tender and seasoned well - he ate every bite. I heard murmurs of everyone enjoying their meal, there were no complaints at all. Service was pretty good and had a nice timing to it. They offered me dessert to celebrate and I chose the cinnamon donuts since that was a tad easier to share as we had cake waiting at home. The donuts were warm, freshly fried, and melted in your mouth. Dusted with cinnamon and sugar on the outside, they were sweet without being overwhelming. It was a little odd as there were plenty of wait staff standing around talking. The food was good. I had the spinach salad without blue cheese, add chicken. I was visiting Tucson and this restaurant came highly recommended by my local Tucsonan friend. I decided to check this place out during my visit to see what the fuss was all about and so my friend made a reservation for dinner here. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were asked if we wanted to sit inside the restaurant or in the outside dining are and we opted to sit inside in one of the booths seating. Our server was quick to come to our table to introduce himself but he disappeared a long time after that. How long? Another party had came a few minutes after our server had gone, they had their server came to their table to introduce himself to them, had their complimentary bread delivered to their table, while I was still waiting for my complimentary bread. Our server was gone so long, I had to flag a different server to please bring us our bread. After the whole Harry Houdini disappearing act, however, our server was back to his old self: friendly and attentive. The service level was top notch after the fact but it still didn't excuse him disappearing that long. Onto the food!! We ordered the Lebanese Hummus to start, with extra fresh vegetables for an additional $3.00. The hummus was pretty good: tasty, rich, and creamy. I have to say, though, the fresh vegetables extra just weren't worth it unless you love celery because it came with a lot of celery. I personally would have preferred more carrots and more radish. Or at least an equal portion of everything. For our entrees, I had ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib while my friend ordered the Grilled Shrimp & Avocado Bowl. My short ribs were tender, rich in flavor, cooked to perfection, and just an overall excellent dish. My friend obviously loved her dish as well because, as I mentioned above, she was the one who recommended this place in the first place! As for dessert, we had decided to share the 'Bars of Sins' and OMG, these were some delicious chocolate bars. Despite the little magic act at the beginning of our dinner here, I had an overall great experience at Wildflower and I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here the next time I visit Tucson. read more

Problem was, the place was SO noisy that we couldn't hold a conversation. Not great for a belated Valentine's Day dinner out! The dining room was probably half-full, but the room was so echo-ey that the noise gave us a bit of a headache. I'm a picky brat about scallops, and these were some of the best I've ever had. Cooked perfectly. The black rice, arugula, and bok choy were perfect compliments to the scallops. They took great care to prepare gluten free versions of items not even listed as gluten free on the menu. And they treated my service dog like a person. It was refreshing. The friends we were visiting took us to this restaurant and we were so happy they did! The menu is very unique and I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to order! We came here on a weekday for dinner and this place was packed! Service was great and I love their decor in here. It would definitely be a good date night spot. I ordered the shrimp bowl which had Asian flavors and I savored each bit of it. I honestly thought this was a cold salad dish but it comes out hot. You could tell that they only use fresh ingredients and the combination of the arugula and quinoa with the large shrimp was divine! Also, this place is reasonable and not over priced as you would think it would be. It's classy yet casual and we enjoyed eating here very much. I had dinner here last night as part of a party of eight. They gave us four complimentary appetizers to compensate for late seating. I had short-rib ravioli ($21) for dinner. It was pretty good, though I'm not a fan of Swiss chard, which comes with it. The appetizers we got included calamari, smoked salmon, hummus, and artichoke. All of them were good, especially the smoked salmon. Service was good aside from the delay in getting seated. Prices are kind of high, but it's a nice place for special occasions. read more
