We went there for a dinner with friends. A group of 6 of us. It was a busy Wednesday evening which said a lot about the popularity and quality of the place. We had a nice glass of white wine and shared a bottle of red. We selected a nice Rioja from a nice wine list. Full body riserva. Fair to good value. The starters of calamari and Brussels sprouts were enjoyed by all. The calamari was lightly battered and on a bed of arugula with a nice dipping sauce. Spice and acidity. Good balance. Brussels sprouts were super delicious. Good sweetness and acidity from the vinegar. Nicely cooked. Entrees varied. All were enjoyed. I had the bowl of grains and shrimp. The grains were well balanced and had a nice sauce of vinaigrette style. The shrimp were a little less cooked that I like but quite nice and plump. No desserts I recommend this place. read more

What does Rome and the Bars of Sin dessert have in common? They weren't built in one day! I happened by chance to meet the executive sous chef and learned that it's a 3 day process to make this delicate treat. The chocolate cookie is made on the first day, then the mousse on the next day, and the vanilla gelato and final assembly on the final day. The namesake of the Bars of Sin might imply an immoral act but it takes your tastes buds on a one way trip to heaven! Wildflower is a staple during Sonoran restaurant week. The prix fixe menu includes a glass of red/white wine, starter, entree, and dessert. The hummus resonated with my Lebanese roots so you should definitely try it. The menu is somewhat limited to me since I don't eat meat or fish, but as a side note from the chef, their catch is cleaned and prepared the same day so you know it's super fresh! If you've read this far then you already know which dessert I recommended! The price of the menu increased from $35 in 2021 to $45 in 2022. The outdoor patio is very spacious and well appointed with plants. It offers a more quiet atmosphere than the indoor space. Went here for dinner with the pups and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The place is dog friendly but only on the smaller patio on the exterior of the building (the large covered patio is not open to dogs) --- that said, if you plan on bringing the dogs I'd definitely make a reservation for the dog friendly patio as it doesn't have that many tables in that area. The food was excellent, as was the service. As a bonus, we happened to go there on one of their half-price bottle nights, and thus we were able to snag a a nice bottle of wine that was normally $60 for only $30. We'll definitely return to Wildflower the next time we visit Tucson. read more

I was visiting Tucson for business and was curious to check this place out. I didn't realize how popular it would be on a Wednesday night, I'd recommend making reservations. We were put on the waitlist when we arrived, they estimated about 30 minutes so it wasn't too long. The food was totally worth it. Overall, the experience was good, servers were friendly and the food was fantastic, but the wait time throughout was really long (once we were seated, we were there for almost 2 hours and there were just 2 of us). They have some tasty looking cocktails on the menu, I wanted to keep it simple so I had a local IPA. They had quite a selection of local beer on draft. We ordered the crispy Brussels with bacon and the calamari. Both were great! For dinner, I had to try the short rib ravioli. Homemade ravioli stuffed with tender meat and topped with mushrooms, Swiss chard and truffles in a cream sauce. Chef's kiss! I'd love to visit again and try something else on their menu. read more

We got takeout from Wildflower last night as part of Sonoran Restaurant Week 2020, and were very pleased with our meals. The three of us shared our various selections, so for the first course we had the Wildflower Seasonal Salad (greens, heirloom tomato, quinoa, cucumber, olive, radish, apple, feta, and marcona almonds in a red wine vinaigrette) and the Crisp Calamari (served with mizuna greens, yuzu emulsion, and toasted sesame seeds). The salad was good, but the calamari, in my opinion, was better. The breading on the calamari was light and warm, which meant that even though the calamari was fried, when it was paired with the greens and yuzu dressing it tasted very bright and fresh. For our entrees, we got the Steelhead Salmon (served with horseradish gratin, sherry glazed beet, and arugula), the Grilled Shrimp & Avocado Bowl (shrimp with black rice, quinoa, bok choy, onion, snap peas, and heirloom carrots in a sesame ponzu), and the Braised Beef Short Rib (served with smoked cheddar grits, charred onion, roasted zucchini, and mushrooms). The salmon and shrimp were both quite good, though the shrimp bowl was a bit lighter on the shrimp than we expected (only three shrimp). Despite having less shrimp than we might have hoped, the bowl was still a hearty dish courtesy of the grains and veggies. My favorite was the short rib with grits! It had deep, rich flavors, with beautiful melding between the tender beef, the buttery cheesy grits, and the gorgeously cooked vegetables. It was savory, salty (but not overly so) comfort food. I would love to eat that all winter! For dessert, all three of us got the Bars of Sin (a praline chocolate cookie topped with cappuccino mousse and coated in chocolate, served with vanilla bean gelato). These bars are a chocolate-lover's dream. The praline cookie is dense and incredibly rich, while the mousse is soft and fluffy. We went on Tuesday. 1/2 price bottles of all the wines including the reserves. We had artichoke appetizer. Fabulous For desert we had the cinnamon donuts. This is what a restaurant should be like. The service, specifically from Nathan and Justin the manager, enhanced an already superb experience. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to try Wildflower for the first time. I am grateful we did as it created a perfect end to a terrific day. The food was delicious and I can not say enough praise of the atmosphere, service, and excellent food. We tried the Brussel sprouts and truffle fries to start. My wife really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, which is amazing because she typically avoids them. Then we have the NY Strip and the spinach pappardelle. Both were phenomenal! Wrapping the night up we had the Crème Brûlée and Bars of Sin. Wow! Out of this world terrific. I would highly recommend for everyone to go and experience the excellence of Wildflower. I flew in to visit family and took my mom here for some apps and cocktails after a spa day. There is ample parking, a nice outdoor patio area and a very cute inside. I'm not sure what the wait is for this place, as I had made a reservation. Both the hostess and server were very pleasant. My madre ordered a sangria and I ordered an espresso martini. Both pretty and well made. omg their bread and dip is soooo yummy. You know a place is gonna be yum when they have a perfectly soft and crusty bread and dip. I think the dip is olive oil, parm, parsley, and red pepper flakes. We got the artichokes, yellowtail crudo, and calamari. Finished it all!! It was so good, my mom wanted to bring the whole family back for dinner on Monday, and so we did. I ordered a whole bunch of everything and we all shared family style. Wow. I am still thinking about my meal here and I just remember having such a great time. We were able to get seated for a group of 5 on a busy Thursday night only after 10-15 minutes (quoted 30). I was very grateful they were able to have dogs so my friends brought their 2 pugs. The server was very attentive and friendly towards us, offering their recommendations and checking up on us often. When we ordered, he even asked if we wanted the food to be split to 2 separate plates so we can place one on each side of the table. I've never seen a restaurant offer this ever and it really made this establishment outstanding in my eyes! FOOD - wildflower salad 3/5: nothing too special for me. However my friend loved it - grilled artichoke 4/5: creative concept that I haven't tried before and was curious about (also to add more greens to our table ). But I didn't know how to eat it really and once I did, the rest of my party was over it and went onto the other food. The sauce is great to pair with the artichoke though! - mussels 5/5: the portion was generous and the size of the mussel was really good! I was surprised since we are all the way in Tucson . Loved the extra bits of chorizo. The sauce was drool-worthy. - spinach parpardelle and chicken 4.5/5: a lighter dish that was still flavorful. If you don't want to feel too full and still love your pasta, this is your dish. - short rib ravioli 5/5: loveddd this. I would definitely order this whenever you visit. The flavors were perfect in every bite! - NY strip steak 4/5: the steak wasn't the star, but the mashed potatoes!! My whole group loved the potatoes and they paired well with the steak (it was a bit dry for us even though we ordered medium rare). TLDR: service is spectacular and the food was all very delicious. This is certainly a more upscale place than I would casually go to. My friend didn't mention that when we were choosing places to eat but luckily, I wasn't dressed in t-shirt and jeans. We came here to celebrate a big moment, a milestone, and this is honestly such a great atmosphere for that. From first entering, the atmosphere and decor were excellent. They had these nice blue velvet booth seats that were quite comfortable. Service was fair, we came during linner (that odd time between lunch and dinner), so it wasn't very busy. It was still sometimes hard to catch our server's eye, for example asking for the check. The food was also a bit slow to come out, but once it did it was delicious. It was certainly worth the extra wait, even though we were quite hungry. My friend got the steak, which was cooked deliciously. I ordered the spare ribs, and it was seasoned well, with the meat exquisitely tender and they already removed the bones. I was actually looking for the horseradish, but I think they mixed it into potatoes of my dish. The vegetables were also all good. Price is definitely set more for a nicer meal. Another friend ordered salad with chicken, but the chicken breast was honestly terrible. The texture was like rubber. She also got pasta, luckily, which was fair. Didn't feel like anything to write home about for those two dishes. Overall, I would consider returning again. There are some other things on the menu which looked interesting to me and I wouldn't mind trying in the future. We plated our mouth watering entrees and took our time with every bite. When ordering delivery, we usually don't hesitate to pick dishes more tricky to make at home. One of my favorite date night spots! The patio is sort of enclosed and has misters so it's great to sit outside even in the summer. Outside is more casual and inside is a bit fancier. While visiting Tucson, my friend suggested having dinner at this establishment. My first time here and did not disappoint. I ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken which came with mashed potatoes and green potatoes. OMG it was so delicious especially the lemon and garlic sauce. Our waiter, Sean, was very attentive and immediately notified us that my dish was not right and they needed to start over. As a result, they offered us a desert of our choice on them due to the food being delayed. We chose the donuts which came with this small donut hole in the middle along with cream and strawberries. This is a fancier place than we anticipated on our first visit. I would suggest business casual dress for lunch time. The food tasted so fresh! The Homestyle Pot Pie was creamy and flavorful, yet mild. It had a complementary medley of vegetables and chicken. Most dishes here were strangely unique and adventuresome - but I say that in a good way. The Pot Pie is what you would expect and should expect - it is for the diner in the group who likes delicious yet predictable. The Spinach Pappardelle is adventurous. It includes a roasted chicken piece that is really flavorful, alongside green pasta noodles, spinach and roasted tomatoes. The tomatoes were so good. Each bite was like an adventure for your tastebuds. I am a classic girl so at first the chicken was everything I desired but after eating 50% I was sampling the pot pie next to me! Ha! I would say my eating companion and I had the perfect balance of experience in ordering an adventure and a staple then splitting our meals. I also enjoyed a delicious Riesling glass of wine. The waitstaff was helpful, kind, and professional while not being overbearing. The ambiance is outstanding - the decor is beautiful. The lunch price was very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the experience of eating here - under $50.00 including the tip. For perspective we ate at BJ's last night and ordered a small pizza and salad with no drink and our check was $50.00 to eat at a pub covered in noise and TVs. I would revisit Wildflower! read more

I went here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. We were able to get right in without a wait. The booths are very comfortable and the staff is very nice. I had a cheeseburger and fries and it was delicious. We ordered dessert and I got the Bars of Sin. Oh my gosh this was amazing. It was so filling I couldn't finish it, but it was so tasty I took it to go. I went back a week later and had the roasted chicken which was equally delightful. Okay the food -- Bread and olive oil was delicious!! So good!! Idk why, but it was. We started with the calamari. It was hot and perfect, I wish that it would have came with a lemon on the side but thats just me being picky. I would order again with no issues. Hubby had the short rib ravioli and I had the short rib entree. Matt suggested trying it with smashed potatoes if I wasn't sure on the grits. I took his advice and it was TO DIE FOR!!! Melt in your mouth delicious. I want to go back to Tucson just to have this again!! The raviolis were also delicious!! Then we had to get dessert right. The donuts and Chantilly cream with berry sauce was lick the bowl good!! We were stuffed but could not stop eating it!! Overall -- 10 stars but 5 was the only option. Ambience: Average volume with dim lighting Service: Accommodating and friendly staff, service was a bit slow Meal: New York strip - large portion size (enough for 2). My strip was a bit overdone and the broccoli was under seasoned but the loaded potato was great. Other comments: They can accommodate larger tables. Best and easiest parking is in the back. I have eaten several times at this establishment, most recently tonight. I consider the menu choices for entrees to be too limited. The smoked salmon appetizer was good, as well as was the complementary bread. I ordered a Greek Caesar for a salad, which was only okay. The fish and chips for the entree was a bad choice, as it was overcooked and not even as good as what you would get at a fast food restaurant. The service was okay as well as the ambience.
