I am purchasing a hot water heater from Home Depot and they had the option to "have it installed professionally". I already had a quote to install the unit from an appliance repair person. But figured having a second quote would be a good idea so I checked the box. In a couple of hours, someone from Will Fix It called me to schedule an appointment to come look at it. I asked to just get the price for install/removal but she said they had to look at it. I told her I had photos of the existing unit, the closet it's in, and the measurements of everything. She said no, they have to come to my house. This was my first hint that something was off. But I was already at home for the day so figured it couldn't hurt. The guy arrived and was very nice. I showed him to the (electric) hot water heater and he immediately said "oh, I see this is hardwired. We'll have to put an electrical disconnect on the wall". I said "are you telling me that the water heater I am buying won't allow you to hardwire it"? He evaded the question three times then finally said "You can hardwire it, but we don't do that". When asked how much the "disconnect box" was he said $450. I told him we could just end it right there because the other appliance repairman was going to do the whole job for $450 and hardwire the unit. He said "oh, well, let me call my supervisor and check to see if we *have* to do the disconnect". All the sudden I felt like I was at a car dealership. As luck would have it, no, we don't have to install a disconnect. So there's a fictitious $450 savings right there (if I wouldn't have questioned this so rigorously they would have just screwed me out of the $450 though). Ok, so how much for the install of the water heater then? He showed me a laminated chart of all these various install options. The least of which was $1,500. I said "but that includes the water heater right? I am buying my own and just need the install". He said "no, that is for install only". At which point I told him he needed to be on his way. Then he started trying to sell me on other services they do. As if I am going to entrust them with anything after trying to charge me $1500 to install an electric water heater. Over $1000 more than the original $450 install quote I had gotten. And if I would have not known to shut him down on the "electrical disconnect" this install would have been right at $2000! The woman on the phone could have provided this pricing when I asked. It is obviously fixed as the guy had a laminated chart. Knowing the best case cost scenario for install was $1500 would have saved myself and this repair/sales-person a lot of time and trouble. read more

Nightmare from WillFixit/ARS. Don't believe their guarantee. They replaced the wrong water heater, didn't get permit to replace the PRV valve, supplied defective equipment and faffed off my complaints and harassed me by text and phone until I got the BBB and the Texas Plumbing Examiners involved. WillFixit/ARS has my $10K and I had to spend another $10K to fix it right. I had their equipment removed and politely told them they can pick it up but now they wont pick it up, until I sign a ridiculous release form. Come and get your equipment! This is insane. I called today because our toilet was backing up into our shower. I was really happy because they said someone would be out between 2 and 6. They also told me they would call 45 minutes before arrival. I waited all day and nobody came or called. I finally called at 5:45 and asked for an update. The girl told me she had called and spoke to someone and rescheduled for tomorrow. I told her that was not possible and she said she made the call. I explained that they only number they had was my cell phone and NOBODY had called me to reschedule. After considering, I called back and canceled for tomorrow and have gone with another plumber. I called Will Fix It on Tuesday and they sent out a "plumber" the next day. My faucet in the kitchen was running slow and I needed it fixed and replaced. The Will Fix It "Plumber" said the faucet I purchased was the wrong brand and I should go out and buy anther brand. He said until that's done it won't work. On Wednesday I called Will's AllPro on 210 734-8400 they came out the next day and fixed everything with the same faucet that the other guy said wouldn't work. The fossett I bought was a $200 faucet that now works perfectly. I would add a picture of it working if I could, it's a good looking $200 faucet. It pains me to write this review. Will Fix It used to provide great service, but something has changed. When you call Will Fix It they answer the call with "How can I provide you with exceptional service today?" Exceptional service is NOT what I have experienced. I have waited over 2 weeks for a coil to be replaced on a system installed and under warranty with this company. After 10 days of ME calling them, not THEM calling me, I was finally scheduled to get the coil replaced. Yes, Sir! We have you scheduled for Saturday between 2 and 5 pm. The technician will call you when they are on their way. I even called on Friday to verify the appointment was still in the system and I would have someone at my residence to fix the AC. Well, Saturday, 5:00 pm came and went, and NOBODY from Will Fix It called to say they were on their way or that they were running late or that they were not coming at all. So, I called THEM again and was told to hold the line while she contacted that department. Unbelievably, I was disconnected after being on hold for 5 minutes. I called back only to be answered by a call center in Houston, I am in San Antonio. She also told me she would try to contact that department but was unsuccessful. She said all she could do was send an email! REALLY? I highly discourage anyone from using Will Fix It! If my experience is their definition of "Exceptional Service", I would look elsewhere. I unfortunately must deal with them until my warranty is fulfilled. When Will Fix It says "Exceptional Service" it's like putting lipstick on a pig! Called to have two 1" fittings soldered to existing copper water lines for a water softener. Was quoted $542 for a job that only required 2 NPT male fittings and about 6" of copper pipe. Was charged $89 for a trip charge. What a ripoff. read more

Stay away from this company!! Called "Will Fix It" to blow out our ac line as it was leaking on to the back patio. Their tech came out, I explained the problem and he proceeds to look at the coils and says they're rusted and I need a new ac system. He then charges me $69 for a service call that he did nothing. When I complain, he says the service fee would be waived if I buy a new ac system from them. He then writes 3 estimates for an ac system. They were all very over priced according to other prices I got. When I tried to get my $69 refunded, Eddie, the AC manager, states this covered the trip to my house and looking at the system which I never asked for. They're just scammers with excuses. read more

I'm writing to share my disappointment and to caution other consumers about "Will" Fix It Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Electrical-Insulation. The +20-year-old gas water heater at my one-bedroom. 1.5 bath, residence had failed and likely had a cracked base (the unit flooded my garage when it failed). Rather than seek a repair, I selected a comparable unit at Lowe's. Lowe's scheduled a plumber to do a site review to ensure the space was adequate for a unit replacement. Lowe's scheduled that work with "Will" Fix It. The technician that visited was knowledgeable and polite. He recommended a comparable unit and said the workspace was good for that replacement. He also informed me that my residence required a 'pressure relief valve (PRV)' at the main, that would cost an additional ~$1,300. After talking with the technician, I decided to also install a water softener as well, to protect this new investment and asked that he work up a price. He warned that this would be expensive (totaling over $6,000) especially with the need for the for the PRV. The final estimate was $7,200, and they said they would throw in the PRV for free. I blame myself for not getting another opinion. I blame myself for not checking the estimates against the Lowe's prices. Most importantly, I blame myself for agreeing to this price without doing research (I am losing my touch in my old age). The technician who did the install was also knowledgeable and polite; the job was scheduled and accomplished quickly and thoroughly. But as I investigate these prices, I'm convinced I was over-sold and over-charged. Example: The water softener I was sold is a 60K unit--my research indicates this size unit is for a 5-to-7-person residence (I was very clear that that home always had, has now, and always would have no more than two residents--it's a 1,200sf home). Example: I've also learned that PRVs are quite inexpensive despite the labor to install (not $1,300). Example: I was not told that the water softener was not from Lowe's but from their own stock (expensive at over $1,000 plus $500 for extra warranty). Again, I blame myself--caveat emptor. I am a disabled veteran, retired and living on a fixed income in this horrible economy. I blocked off my schedule for Sunday for a consult to install a new water heater for Friday as I work Saturday thru Thursday all day and into late evening. My water heater is cracked and has to be replaced. I scheduled the consult on Friday evening and the had time avaible for Sunday from 8-12. Will Fix It called me at 8:45 on Sunday to cancel my Consult, thus leaving me in a pickle. Worst company ever. Saw a leak in my kitchen after my shower at 6 in the morning. I noticed as I was leaving for work. Checked everything visible at the time and then called and they sent out a guy at 9. He decided it was the toilet told my wife I could fix it buying a small part did no further inspection charged 70$ and left. I knew it was not that. Came home did further inspection, cut open ceiling and found that the drain pipes from the shower were leaking. Called a different company and it is now fixed. Do not use these guys! read more

I called Home Depot for installing new A/c Unit Chris, a sales person from "will fix it"came and gave us a quote for 17 seer unit and we accepted it got a contract for 17 Seer unit. After a week they came and installed a 16 seer unit..instead of 17. The installers broke my roof. They promised my family they will be back on Monday to fix it and we agreed.upon arriving home from work while I was checking the unit i found out that it was 16 instead of 17 seer. We attempted to contact the sales person who did the contract with us and had no response. It's not a sufficient unit for our house and was not cooling our house. While we were at work on Monday the installer came and did something and when we returned from work we noticed nothing was done to fix the roof and the unit was not installed properly. After several attempt to contact we went to home Depot to report. Last week our house started getting hot inside .we contacted the manager of "Will fix it" and he sent a service guy who found out that the unit was installed wrong and the pipes are not matching.we are fed up with them. I strongly encourage you to not use willfixit. I in the process of purchasing a home in San Antonio and was looking for a qualified contractor to provide estimates on work to be done. Regarding the HVAC service Tech. He arrived on time and was professionally dressed. He spent an hour checking out the system, and charged $80 for the service. He had a freon sniffer and suggested both units need immediate replacement. Asked him to provide a quote regarding what it would take to replace the system and after 4 days have heard nothing from the company. I visited the property tonight and the HVAC systems are cooling just fine. Bottomline poor followthru and I suspect they are recommending work that does not need to be done. They also sent a plumber to evaluate the plumbing. This guy arrived late, was not professionally dressed and reeked of cigarettes. After poking around for an hour he said he needed to bring in a supervisor to provide a quote. I told them I needed done between 5-7 pm on M,T or W of this week. I heard nothing as of 4:00 today Tuesday. So I called and the guy was scheduled to arrive at 5:00. No one had contacted me to schedule this time. Fortunately, I was able to contact my Realtor and by 5 was at the property. At 5:30 I called to check on the status and was told I was next on the list. At 6:05 I called in again and was told he would be at the property at 7:00. At 7:15 I called again and was told that he had called and was told that I was out of town. Instead of calling me the buyer who had arranged the apt. they called the owner of the property. Since I had already spoken with the call department 4 times by this point how they did not know to call me is unforgivable. They were not apologetic but offered to send someone in the morning but could not give me a time just a "window" of 9 to 11. After much back and forth, I now have a firm time for 9. As I need some level of evaluation and do not have the time to work with a different plumber I will get their quote and evaluation. They have absolutely no chance of getting my business and I will check in tomorrow and update my experience. Once I find a competent company in San Antonio I will post a review. Regarding the favorable reviews, it was a big reason I chose Willfixit. I wonder if those folks were sweet talked but overcharged. Something to consider. read more

This business is the absolute worst in San Antonio. They repaired a plumbing problem at my house last year that required them to break up a spot on my carport. The patch they put in began to sink so I called them and they told me they would repair it. I have scheduled TWO appointments with them, taken off work both times, and they don't show up. It's a good thing they spend a lot of money on advertising for new customers because the service after they have your money SUCKS!!! We spent over $5000.00 to have this plumbing issue resolved and now we can't get them to repair they're mistake. Called Will Fix It to come help me get my garbage disposal reinstalled properly. They were very nice and professional, however the day the plumber was coming out he called to give me a quote over the phone... It was over $300 to complete this task. I told him never mind. I asked him point blank if he thought that was a fair price, because it seemed outrageous to me... His response was that they are a big company so they can charge that much. Take your plumbing needs else where and save yourself some money. I ended up getting this problem solved for $80 by a licensed plumber who is self employed. Shop small. read more

I had a work order request for replacing the garbage disposal. They gave me two options: One that was $760 with one year warranty and the other for $820 with 3 year warranty. I looked up at the garbage disposal that they were going to give me and it costs only $210!! It is unbelievable how much they charge for a 20 min work. Will never recommend them to anybody. This is a continuation of my previous review. After the problems encountered the night before, I was promised a tech onsite at 9 the next morning. At 9:30, when no one had arrived, I called in and was told it wasn't on the schedule, but they'd send someone right out. They arrived at 10:00 AM. The techs were very helpful, walked me thru the issues with the system etc. They seemed to be competent and knowledgeable. They left and indicated they would contact me with their quote. 2 weeks later I have not heard from them. Also received a followup phone survey and expressed my overall displeasure. I know if my company every received a complaint like mine it would have been promptly responded to. Here again no one contacted me to attempt to make things right. read more

**UPDATE: The parent company to WillFixIt has reached out to me for a solution in regards to this issue, more information as I have it** WillFixit replaced my water heater under the manufacture warranty in 8/2016 - so brand new heater is now 2 years old. It stopped heating 12/15/18, the breaker is tripping. I call. First tech is good - says they can just swap the heater out under warranty and it would just be a service call cost for me, but make appt for Monday since he can't get to warehouse on Sat. Ok Done. No show on Monday. Call - they didn't have us on the schedule after we scheduled for 10am. Technician shows up at 12:45. Monday's technician tells me 'not worth getting a warranty replacement for $20 fix' - here's the real numbers that I just paid: $388 for an element replacement yesterday. Still tripping. $272 today to replace the thermostats. Not tripping. Fixed? Maybe. So $660 to swap out 3 parts, that are $20, $20 and $31 each - and all covered under warranty, except labor. I have to have hot water. They know this. Now I have a paid $660 for three less-than-an-hour repairs for a $700 water heater. Let's math. $20 thermo X2 = $40 $31 element X1 = $31 Yesterday's time = 60 mins (incl diagnosis) Today's time = 30 mins (incl diagnosis) Total time = 90 mins. Total parts = $71 Total TIME paid = $589 Hourly rate for WillFixIt in San Antonio = $392.66 Way to screw over a disabled Veteran. I'll be working with another company in the future. read more

The fact that this company has a collection of 5 star reviews and an comparable collection of 1 star reviews probably says something about the experience of working with them. They are a large company known for quick turnaround on service requests. Some of the people that they have working for them are excellent at what they do and provide a good quality of service. But when things go bad with them, they go really bad. The problem seems to be with the warranty and guarantees that they provide on their work. Basically, if it gets fixed right the first time, that's great. If it doesn't get fixed or there is a subsequent issue with their work, they do not provide any concessions that they are at fault. From their view, it's just "unfortunate" that you had problems. If you're looking for someone to come out quickly for a simple repair, then WillFixIt is a good company to work with. If you're wanting to work with a vendor that has an interest in getting your repeat business, then work with a smaller company that has long-term employees who take pride in their work. read more

Craziness: I was exhausted, hot, stressed, frustrated, and confused from the heat after attempting to get " Will Fix it Air conditioner company" to come fix my air conditioning ( they gave me a Friday appointment between 5-7 and NO ONE ever came ... lots of calls and promises to show up ,I waited in my 96 degree house for them. 2 "supervisors" and multiple phone bank people claimed they were coming. At 9 pm i asked to have someone call me first thing in the morning ( Saturday) still no call on Tuesday. I communicated over 10 times with them and no one came or called. "Will Fix It is toooo busy. " and did not fix it!!!I also need plumbing work. I will not call will fix It they are toooooo busy I will use the wonderful people who came out same day and fixed my a/c . Haven't had them out to my house yet, and with the experience I just had on the phone with Desiree, I probably won't. Will Fix It is one of the various plumbers used by Home Depot to have a toilet installed. When I bought the toilets from Home Depot, I setup everything for the installation. Desiree with Will Fix It called me today to schedule. She stated that the fixed price program that I used through Home Depot has a 2-4 week wait time before someone can come out for the install. I asked when someone could come to my home if I wasn't going through Home Depot. She stated they could be out tomorrow. So it is obvious, it is not a resource issue, it is a policy to force customers to wait weeks if they go through Home Depot. I asked for a rough estimate on the cost to install a toilet if I had them come out tomorrow. She was not able to provide any information and that their policy is that the technician gives the exact quote based on the exact work. I wasn't asking for an exact quote, I just wanted a rough estimate of what it might cost. She also stated there would be a $69 service fee charged that would be waived if I had them do the work. So basically I have to agree to wait 2-4 weeks to know the price or I have to commit to paying $69 just to get a price for work sooner. This is a ridiculous situation. I had a furnace and a/c unit installed by Will Fix It in October 2018 ($12,500) and was told that they would be back in 10 days to complete the job. They finally finished the job December 3, 2018 only after I had called them! One of the reasons we decided to replace the old unit was because Home Depot was giving a rebate in October. I have called Will Fix It about the rebate, have gone to Home Depot three time and they have called to no avail. I am 74 years old and my husband it 80. Highly disappointed with the customer service of Will Fix It! Last week on Thursday when coming home from working out at 6AM I noticed that our front yard for one of my tenants was flooding so i quickly had my husband investigate the issue as he is my construction maintenance guy for our units and he informed me that we would need to call a plumber asap as he had to turn off the water to all 4 of our units until the problem was assessed. At this time it is 6:30AM and of course no one is open as of yet except Will Fix It as they are open 24/7. Well my husband spoke to a young lady on the phone in front of me informed her of the issue and that we needed someone to come out quick because we shut off the water to all of our tenants. The lady on the phone stated they would send someone out and they would be here by 8AM. Well unfortunately my husband had to go to work and left me in charge so 9AM rolls around and still no one has shown up and of course my husband did not get the young lady's name which is a BIG pet peeve of mine. So I called back and spoke to Andrea which she is the ONLY reason I would give Will Fix It 1 star since I cant give zero stars! Andrea listed to my concerns especially with my tenants being without water since 6:30AM and myself mixing more time from work and sent Jesse out right away. After speaking with Andrea at 9AM she had Jesse out at my units by 9:30AM now that is what I call customer service especially since Andrea informed me the first individual my husband spoke to marked us down as an AC needing to be fixed which was incorrect! Moving on once Jesse assessed the problem he turned the water back on to my units as thankfully it was the sprinkler system that needed to be assessed further however Jesse quoted us $625 to fix the sprinkler system which was ridiculous if you ask me. So with me not being the owner or the person that pays for repairs I got the owners on the phone (my dad) and let him speak to Jesse. Jesse explained to my dad that this was Will Fix It's flat rate and I could hear my dad asking him questions such as is this is an hourly rate, what if you finish the job in 10 minutes, etc and Jesse continued to repeat that the amount owed would be $625. Well Jesse then proceeded to hand me the phone still in conversation with my dad mind you I am standing in front of Jesse the entire time and he hands me the phone, walks over to his truck and gets in then leaves. Talk about rude service my dad was on the phone saying hello and when I informed him it was me he asked where the guy went and I told him in his truck and left and did not say one word to me. My dad laughed and said fine either we will call another plumber out or my husband could fix it and let me tell you folks it was a simple PVC pipe that needed to be fixed and my husband fixed the PVC pipe on Sunday and it took him 30 minutes and cost $16. Have a sewage blockage. Called "Will Fix It". What a laugh - they need to rethink their name and brand. Paid them $500 and still have the blockage - reason: they didn't have the right tools for the job. I was told that putting more than a 100' snake on the truck was an overhead issue. Apparently they only have THAT equipment for commercial customers. They came with the wrong equipment but charged me anyway. When I asked if they would come out again and FINISH the job I was told I would have to make another appointment -- and pay another service call charge as well as any other charges necessary to FIX the problem. Clearly this company failed in providing SERVICE - find a more reputable company. Update on 2/4/2019: What an experience! The Will Fix It employee told me I did not have a "City Clean Out" valve. Turns out I did. Also, the same employee did tell me that he had failed to clear any of the sewage blockages he worked on the evening of 2/2/19. Not really surprised since he could not find the clean out valve on my property. Fast forward to 2/3/19: Called Roto-Rooter. They came out on Super Bowl Sunday (2 hours after I called them) WITHOUT a service charge. Got a quote for the employee (less than the Will Fix It quote/charge). When I asked what if you can't clear it I was told that if the he (the plumber) could not clear it, there would be no charge. What a concept - I only pay IF they succeed. So, with the Super Bowl still in the first quarter, the guy knocks on my door. The blockage is cleared! It was less than 40' from the clean out valve. Interestingly, the blockage was on the city side. Everything was cleared and cleaned up, all required forms/notifications for the city completed, and still about 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter of the Super Bowl. We contacted them back in October 2015 to replace a shower valve. The guy comes over, says he can't do it today but will be back on Monday with all the gear he needs. Whatever. We get a hotel room for two nights because the valve was leaking so bad we had to turn off the water. Fast forward to 18 Jun 2016. Same valve BREAKS and cannot be shut off. Hot and cold water are freely pouring out the faucet into the tub. Call Will Fix It. Guess what? He shows up and says he can't fix it because he doesn't have the parts. Really? The parts for the valve that YOU installed? He just says, "Sorry" and leaves, telling us he'll come back on Monday with the parts he needs. So once again we are forced to shut the water off and spend money for two nights in a hotel, thanks to We Won't Fix It Yet. Stay away from these clowns. In between making you wait and putting in shoddy parts, they constantly try to upsell you on water softeners, water heaters, etc. Screw them. read more

We were initially upset that we didn't feel that there was solid determination of where the mold was coming from and instead my grandpa had an air purification system that was an additional cost. Will Fix It within the hour of my social media post notified A/C manager David who from home contacted us and came by and along with the original service technician Dillion climbed in the attic and inspected the roof from top to determin no leak was coming and on inspection found cracked seals on near by pipe and sealed it without further cost. I will commend their attention to customer service. My grandpa feels the Guardian purifier will assist his home. Thanks again to the Will Fix It social media manager for directing our grievance and to David and Dillion to make sure we all felt that my grandparents would not have a further problem in that area. read more

I would not recommend Will fix it to repair or purchase anything from ever again. We bought a air-conditioning unit in 2012 will fix it has been out to our house to repair the unit 22 times including three times in 2012. Shame on them for selling us a unit that is so unreliable. read more

Will Fix It stood me up twice. They never called to say they wouldn'tn make either one of the appointments. Their record keeping is terrible, instead of calling me on the number I gave them when I requested their services, they read back contact number from over 5 years ago. This company is terrible when it comes to service. They were extremely expensive putting in my ac and water heater. Had to have them back multiple times to try to get units correct, which they are still not. They continue to point the finger at previous work done using that as an excuse for their bad work. Their service calls are very frustrating as they make you wait till the very end of their service window before they show up though you have had to wait for hours and adjust your work time to accommodate them. Charges way too much and can't be punctual. Called on a Saturday to schedule an appointment for Monday. They lost my appointment and I wouldn't have known unless I called to see where they were. They then gave me an appointment for later that day, but basically were completely inconsiderate of my time and showed up an hour later than the window. Not cool. And literally my house is NOT COOL because of their mistakes and not staffing appropriately. AND they tried to charge $200 for the 1st pound of Freon and $100 per pound after that and said we needed 6 pounds plus a $100 MINOR repair for a total of $800. What a company that is completely trying to gouge their customers and certainly not trying to help. Anyone can google how much Freon costs and it's not that much. read more

I was without AC for about a week. So, I took the plunge and called them last Saturday morning. They were scheduled to arrive between 2-4. Daryl arrived a bit after 3 and within minutes diagnosed the problem. Since it was a Sat., the diagnostic call was $69 but would be waived if I had them do the work. It was the capacitor that was broken and needed to be replaced. It cost $300. In less than an hour, the house was cool again. Daryl was professional and informative. He put a temporary capacitor and would be back on Monday with the correct one. He came back on Monday morning as promised. All in all $300 well spent! read more
