I was in the area for work and stopped in for a piece of Marionberry Pie. The pie was very flavorful with a nice flaky crust. I wish I hadn't had Lunch earlier as they have a restaurant. May 2026 Oregon Driving from Bend, Oregon to Newport on the coast saw this place and it had good reviews and decided to drive 10 miles out of the way to come here. You order your food at a counter in the back of the store. The open dining seating is in a different room. You go and get your food when the buzzer goes off. The buzzer is obnoxiously loud. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich comes with a pickle and a bag of chips. My husband ordered the pot pie. We both had a slice of pie. I chose a strawberry rhubarb and he chose the cherry. The chicken pot pie was very good. Had lots of fresh vegetables from peas to carrots, green beans, and potatoes. It was a good size for lunch, but a very small portion if it was your main meal. The grapes were large globe grapes, and they were firm and delicious. The chicken salad was delicious. Large fluffy croissant and the chicken salad had celery, chunks of grapes and onion. It comes with a bag of chips and a pickle. The pickle was large and crunchy. It tasted like a specialty pickle not one you would get at a typical store. The cherry pie was not the best. The crust tasted different than the crust that was with the strawberry rhubarb. It almost had a cinnamon taste. The strawberry rhubarb was fantastic. The crust was very dry, but the filling was delicious. My only complaint is the staff is not aware of the ingredients that are in the menu items. I first ordered some thing and told them I had an allergy to meet and they told me I was OK ordering the corn chowder. After taking a bite and getting an allergic reaction, they then check the book and find out it has bacon. There also was a cross-contamination with nuts. I had a marionberry scone - the size was huge so I shared it. It was very good. Also ordered a turkey sandwich (which came with chips). The bread was so soft that is "mushed" and fell apart. The sandwich was drowned in some kind of mustard that dominated the entire flavor of the entire sandwich. My friend had the chicken pot pie, which she said was very good It game with a nice serving of grapes. Note: grapes would of been so much better with the sandwich than chips and given the sandwice a bit of class and a higher rating on the whole. This was a beautiful drive out there but not worth going for the food. I traveled from Battle Ground WA and my travel companion came from Clackamas. I must say the store was the big hit. I saw a lot of nice things. Great place to buy unique gifts for loved onesd. Bathrooms - they have two but they chose to put both sexes in one. They were dirty. The hall to the bathroom had two mouse traps..Not the most appealing. Also had a huge sign before you walk in that you enter at yur own risk. Love these guys, a perfected stop on a drive in the country. Lots of parking, inside/ outside tables. Plenty of coffee, lunch, and plated dessert items and a full case of their frozen take home pies. I make a whole lot of pies but the joy of a well prepared pie ( lots of options) to just pop into the oven is lovely. And there is a nice variety of small tchotchkes to add to the adventure. Stopped at Willamette Valley Pie Company on a drive from Portland to Eugene. I'd heard about marionberries being a local thing. Apparently they were developed at Oregon State University so I figured I should try them in their natural habitat (pie). Got there right before closing, so I was only able to try the marionberry pie. But honestly, no regrets. It's like a blackberry that went to grad school: deeper, richer, a little more complex without being annoying about it. Not overly sweet, not trying too hard. Just a really solid pie that knows what it's doing. Kind of wish I'd gotten there earlier because the lunch menu looked legitimately good. You could plan a stop around this place. If you're driving through and need a reason to pull over, this is a strong one. Even if you're just there for five minutes and a slice of pie you eat slightly too fast in your car. read more

Stopped by on a rainy Thursday around 3pm and this place was a cozy treat. When you first walk in, there's a cute shop area with local food products, jams, and some kitchenware, it's definitely worth a browse while you wait. There was a bit of a line to order, and staff mentioned they were short-staffed with only one cashier, but the line moved steadily. You order at the counter, get a buzzer, and pick up your food from the window when it's ready. Everything sounded tasty and we ordered- Chicken Pot Pie: it was warm and comforting, especially on this rainy day. It does come with a side of grapes. The crust was flakey, but the filling was a bit on the soupy side. We did wish there was more crust on top. Huckleberry & Apple Lattice a la mode: loved this combo! The pie itself was flakey and just sweet enough, and paired really nicely with the soft serve. The soft serve was more on the icy side than creamy, but it still worked. Strawberry Dream Pie: this one had a pretzel crust and was our favorite. A fun mix of sweet and salty and kinda reminded us of a strawberry cheesecake. The Willamette Valley Pie Company Farm Store is located in a gorgeous part of the Willamette Valley. The store itself has many kitchen tools and baking accessories, many of which I had not even heard of! They also offer baked goods and other snacks to take home, and have a full menu and seating to dine in while you're there. I ended up getting the spinach and chicken wrap and tried the strawberry pie which was absolutely delicious. I feed the 5th Wheel Community for Thanksgiving and make a seven course meal and Willamette Valley provides the pies. They are so delicious. We've purchased their pies many times at various storms but never knew they had this store until it was in The Oregonian! Beautiful day so drive the 30 miles to visit. They offer many choices inside for lunch much but when you drive up all you can smell is the grilling hot dogs! Sold! Huge beef hot dogs with several condiment choices, bag of chips, fresh baked cookie and a drink for $8.50. All enjoyed outside under the shade while you watch bike riders pull up and kids playing on the play structures. Finish the dog and save cookie for later and head in to look at all the different packaged food to purchase to make at home. Pick up my favorite - peach pie and get some strawberry shortcake for dessert. It's a strawberry sundae with a great biscuit. The ice cream is so good! All of the servers are so friendly and helpful. When looking up what things to do in Salem, Oregon, Willamette Valley Pie Company came up and was also recommended by a few travel bloggers that my husband watched on YouTube. So he decided that we should come here for pie. We came here for a visit this past Monday and also Tuesday. We thought it would be nice to bring back a pie and some cider for some friends that we were going to visit and so that is why we decided to come back a second day. Over those 2 visits, we ended up purchasing: Chicken Pot Pie served with a side of grapes, $7.99- This little chicken pot pie was very, very salty. My husband ordered this and did not like the pie filling. Thank goodness grapes were served on the side to help give a bit of freshness. Potato Bacon Soup served with Cheddar Biscuit, $6.49- I ordered this item and picked this soup (but you could have chosen chicken tortilla soup). This soup was very salty as well. I added water to my soup and stirred it to help dilute some of that salt, which made the soup taste better. I really loved the cheddar biscuit. It was moist and had bits of chives in the biscuit too. I would love to just purchase the cheddar biscuit again if that was available for purchase. Pumpkin Scone, $3.99- I ordered this on 2 separate days because I really liked the scone. The pumpkin wasn't too sweet (not nearly as sweet as the pumpkin loaf at Starbucks, which I think is too sweet) and had a good balance. The scone itself was pretty large for the size (which is a good size to share with another and both people will feel satisfied with the portion) and was nice warm (you can request for your scone to be warmed). Marionberry Scone, $3.99- My husband ordered this and thought it was good. I didn't have any. Featured Pie of the Week (with special price): Baked Peach Raspberry Pie, $11.99- When we visited on Monday, this pie was the pie of the week and so we decided to pick this one because of the price. But there are so many pies available (but not at this price). You can also purchase frozen pies too (if we had purchased this pie frozen, it would have been a special price of $10.99). This pie was really good and the flavors of the both peach and raspberry really went well together. The top of the pie had rolled oats, which I really liked. Pint of Apple Cider, $3.50- My husband really wanted fresh apple cider so we picked a small bottle. It was pretty good, although naturally sweeten. We liked it so much that the next day, we decided to purchase a 1/2 gallon for our friends. Baked No Sugar Added Marionberry Pie special: $10- On Tuesday, we came back to purchase pie and cider for our friends. This surprised us to see this pie featured and on sale for $10 (it was this pie and also a cherry pie that was also $10). My husband figured this would be a good pie to get since marionberry isn't a common pie flavor that we normally see. We ended up trying a slice the next day at our friends' home for dessert after dinner. This pie was really good. Even with a no sugar added pie, this pie was just perfectly sweetened for us. And our friends also really liked the pie as well. 1/2 Gallon Apple Cider, $6- This was purchased for our friends and they liked it. Free sample of blackberry lime- Oh boy this pie sample was generous and very good. I don't normally like blackberry but I liked it in this pie. --------------------------------- (Total= $57.94) Service both times was very friendly and quick. When we visited the first time, we were given a pager for our order. It vibrated and would light up when our order was ready for pick up. The indoor (there is also outdoor seating too) seating is nice and there is a self serve water station set up. I liked that there were books and board games available for kids and families to use to occupy their time. There was also a small coloring table in the corner (I took two cute coloring sheets for my nephews to bring back home for them to color). The restrooms were clean upon both visits and adequately stocked with the essentials. Overall, we had a good experience with this place (just wouldn't recommend their entrees) and would come back here again the next time we visit this part of Oregon. read more

I have been a customer for 10 and a half years. I just found out that they have punch cards. The only reason why I found this out was because someone in front of me had one. I came I today and bought something. I asked to talk with the manager. All she said was they will ask people if they needed a card. Grilled cheese was great. You get a pickle and then chips. I got a Turkey sandwich with chips. Canned soda. We also ordered strawberry shortcake which was pretty good. I bought mini pies from the freezer. They cook well in an airfyer. I did buy the "uncrustable" like almond butter and jam sandwiches however I wouldn't recommend those. Even after sitting the night in the fridge the almond butter turns more granulated and breaks. Service: Was a little unorganized. Ahead of us was a group just taking photos of their menu while others waited so I skipped them to get checked out. The only side note I'd add is when they forgot the soup I was questioned as if I stole soup. Lol they forgot to serve it, not me! So asking for something I paid for doesn't seem out of character in my opinion. Ambiance: it's a nice like barn. They have booth seating and chairs. Outside they have a nice grass area and it's a few yard games and a playground for kiddos. I'm not quite sure I'd drive there again to have lunch. Only one register and one person running it.., she has to put a sticker on coffee cup order and write a name on it, then has to wait for receipt to print and run food order to the back counter yelling " order up". Other employees are just stacking cups and looking for stuff to do. Maybe they could run ticket to the back ?or put a sticker on a cup ? so the cashier can keep line moving? You'd think they would have a back up in place for when the line is to the door. I was purchasing items and not there to eat as were other people so suggestion would be---Maybe have a 2nd person /line with credit card swipe device to handle customers that are just purchasing items. I know it's not this busy all the time but they really should have a back up process in place for these occasions. read more

The biscuit for the strawberry shortcake was not the best. I recommend going down Cordon to E.Z Orchard. On another note, I left frustrated with their horrible service. They need to work on their management. The line to order was confusing. The crowd made a line to pick up their order and didn't clarify it until someone else mentioned it. We waited a long time for our order because it was a busy time and day. Regardless from that, we received 3 out of 7 items from the server at the pick up counter. My brother went back thinking the rest would be ready soon. The server cleaned the counter, went to the back, and he never saw the server again. This is why he waited thinking the order wasn't ready, since he was waiting right infront of the pickup window. While he waited, my niece ate her meal and smoothie, and my other niece enjoyed her milkshake while she waited on her kids meal. My niece was upset, so I went and asked just to find out the rest of the meal was being held under the counter while my brother was waiting right infront of them. My husband purchased the Marionberry pie at a local grocer . The price was very reasonable , however we were disappointed with the consistency of the Marionberry filling . Berries can be watery in pies and we have had berry pies from a competitor ( for twice the money) which have filling a bit runny but very tasty , but this filling was too firm. We put it in the oven to warm it up hoping it would soften , but it didn't change . It had consistency similar to a pecan pie without the extreme stickiness. Ok, I thought the sign had to have said Pipe Co. not Pie Co. I mean, we were 10 miles from Salem, Or and out in the middle of ag land. It had to say Pipe not Pie. I asked my husband to turn around so I could see. Sure enough, it said PIE! So, we turned on the road the arrow pointed down and drove 1/2 a mile and there was this very nice-looking business with a large parking lot. Big enough to park a large RV if you wanted to. We walked in and found a lovely gift shop. Had everything from popcorn to puzzles and everything in between. It also had a very nice sandwich shop with coffee drinks and smoothies. And of course, pies!!! You can get precooked or to be cooked pies. And so many varieties with fruit and creams to select from. At the pastry/sandwich counter there is pie by the slice, individual pies and croissants as well as soups and wonderful sandwiches they will make for you. We got their special chicken sandwich with a very good, iced coffee. There's a place to sit and eat inside, but with the beautiful surroundings and weather, we chose to sit outside and watch the children play in the very nice playground. The service was great, the gift store wonderful, the food was tops and the prices were fair! So, if you're in the Salem, Or. or Silver Falls State Park areas, take a short drive and treat yourself to wonderful food and a very fun place to fine. read more

There is a walk up order counter for food at the back of the shoppe with a dinning area to the left of the entrance. They have a playground though it has a height for older/taller children, and yard toys galore in the shed to the side of the main building. The parking lot is gravel and two rows total. There isn't usually any shade - if you're thinking to keep a frozen pie for later in the summer heat then wait to buy until you leave. They have seasonal hand pies but frozen sets for an alternative if you're looking for a specific berry etc. they also have a menu for milkshakes etc. Their bathrooms are clean and a separate hallway through the door from the dining area. Marionberry is grown and unique to Oregon. Both workers also confirmed Marionberry Crunch Pie contains dairy. If you're on a quest for a non-dairy treat, two same workers mentioned their #2 seller is Marionberry Double Crusted Pie. Sampled Strawberry Rhubarb Pie which tasted delicious and wasn't over the top sweet. I wish I could teleport these yummy Marionberry pies. Here's why? Fresh grown fruits with generous portions, some tart and not overpowered with sweetness. Loved the crunch for Marionberry Crunch Pie. My favorite one is Marionberry Crunch Pie. We've been trekking out to the Willamette Valley Pie Company for years. We took our 97 year old friend there for a treat this week. We had lunch, the meal deal consisting of a tiny container of "rustic chicken noodle soup" which was very watery and a toasted cheese sandwich we had to gnaw because the bread was so tough. It came with a bag of chips and a can of pop for $12 each. We decided to buy a peach pie ($15.99) to take home for later. When we cut into the peach pie (as you can see from the picture) the crust was way above the filling making it look like it was a nice full pie, when in fact there were two peach slices and a lot of jellied goo on the bottom of the pie. The crust was also tough, not flaky or flavorful. It cured me though, I won't be craving a trip there again. Too bad, we used to really like going there. read more
