So here are the facts from our experience with William. He showed up and he gave us a good quote, he seemed nice, and came right away. We ran into a problem and had to dig more ditches, that was fine and we dug out the ditches no problem. After the ditches were dug we texted him and asked when he would complete work...he says "this week". Well that weekend I went back and NO WORK was done. Same thing next week...NOTHING was done. This is now two weeks later and no work has been done...finally we need some other work done so we contact asking about original work and why it's not done and this new work we need done ASAP. He finishes the work we needed done right away and then nothing else. We contact him again...now he stops answering my calls and texts. To note this whole time I have been very nice regardless of myself starting to get very irritated. So I have my brother call and he answers saying "sorry I was working another job I'll have it done this weekend" (again this is well over 3 weeks later to finish 3 days worth of work total including the work we added). Well that weekend I go there and NO work is done...nothing and now he is not answering my brothers calls or texts! Finally we pretty much gave up on him and he doesn't contact us and we don't contact him until later (more then a couple weeks) and we decide let's try one more time. We have someone else contact him and he responds...FINALLY after over 2 months now and he removes a pipe! Which is about 10% of the work that needs to be done and then goes missing in action for another week no more work done. To put the icing on the cake after 3 months he replies to a message from the 3rd number we have message him since he stopped responding to 2 of our numbers and he says we owe him money even though we paid him for more work then he had done already! Just out of nowhere after not responding and not working on it he over doubles the quote to which we already paid half when in reality we should have gotten some of that money back that we paid him. The main issue here wasn't the money...though it's irritating he gave us a low quote and then raises triple what he originally said and that's after he didn't even complete MOST of the work well over two months later. This is AFTER a $1000 cash deposit before he did ANY work which was over half his total estimate! read more

I spent a long time suffering from bad plumbing in the kitchen and laundry room. It would overflow and need to be snaked 2 to 3 times a year. Not only that the vent under the sink wasn't working right so you could smell sewer stank under the sink. After contacting a couple of other plumbers (who were either too expensive or seemed too slap dash) I finally decided it wasn't worth the terror of hearing the burbling pipes and following rush of water as the drainage from the spin cycle rushed out of my wall and onto the floor. I contacted William Thomas based on Yelp reviews and that he seemed to have many years of experience and was based in Long Beach. I left a message and he got back with me within a couple of hours and we made an appraisal appointment for the next day. He and Jason came right on time and went under the house to inspect after I told him the problems. I knew we were on the right track when they started identifying problems which others hadn't. He formulated a plan and sent me a very reasonable estimate within a couple of hours to which I agreed and then he asked if they could start the same day...great! I love it! They gathered the materials they would need and were back at my house in a couple of hours. From that point on they worked tirelessly. They found that upon dissecting the old plumbing that the vent up to the roof was completely destroyed and the cast iron sewer pipes were so impacted with sludge and oxidation they shouldn't have been working at all. They worked very creatively to avoid tearing into the outside wall of the house which was much appreciated as it had just been painted. The end result was an improved and properly functioning system which should serve well for many years to come...all done in an afternoon and at a very good price. My Dad's old house required a lot of plumbing work due to old rusty pipes. There was leakage in the bathroom and under the house. The house also had gas leaks in the floor furnace and gas dryer pipes. My first thoughts were: 1- oh no... this will cost a LOT of money to repair.... AND.... 2- who can I trust to do this big job? I chose William. As it turned out, I made the right decision. From start to finish, William was great to work with. Since I was at work, we communicated via texts during the 3 days he was at my Dad's. My Dad and I met with him daily to make sure we were all on the same page. It was reassuring that he took before and after pictures of his work. From now on, I will not call anyone else but William for plumbing and heating problems. I think the best measure of William's work is what my Dad ( a former plumber) said about him: "Hey, he's pretty good!" By the way,it should be said that my Dad is a harsh critic and does not give out compliments easily. In the end, William is the perfect plumber- Doing quality work at a reasonable price... I have been in the apartment rental business for several years primary managing contractors and doing some of the maintenance and repairs myself, so I have dealt with many contractors, some good and some very bad. William is one of the few contractors that is great. He is responsible, is customer service oriented and takes pride in his work. He communicated with me when he was late and promptly rescheduled when he knew he will not be able to make our appointment. He replaced a leaking galvanized pipes with new pipes. Mr. Thomas returned my call within a few minutes after my message at 6:00 p.m . We discussed the serious backup in the washing machine, toilet, bath tubs and showers. He said he could be at my home within the hour and showed up in 30 minutes. He cleared out the main sewer line which filled with roots within a half hour and advised me how to prevent it from happening again. Of several plumbers I called he was the most honest and did not use a lot of BS jargon like other plumbers I called to upsell me and gave me a very fair price. Well my dishwasher was making a funny noise so I got Bill the Plumber's name from my next door app. He arrived at EXACTLY the stated time and was clean and friendly. It turned out to be a piece of broken glass in the drain. He actually waited for it to run through the cycle to be sure the noise was gone and it was. While waiting he and his sidekick Jason took a look at my slow flushing toilet. He didn't even charge me for a service call. Bill is the real deal. Honest and helpful.
