The Williams is a terrific place! It's a blue collar nice bar with super food. Chilled beer glasses, nice & clean with at least a dozen new 46" flat screens! Very reasonable prices & good bar food. Oh, prime rib dinner is great & the Wed-night smoked BBQ ribs are killer. (cooked out back) Wings are good too. Live music on the weekends. This place in not rough or seedy, it's Renton.. Love the Sunday Funday Specials. Cherie is the best. She make a great mimosa and bloody Mary. Lots of Flat screen TV's to watch your favorite games, plus a dart board in the back, a stage plus a dance floor if they have a band and a pool table. Don't forget about the pool tabs. my band Kashmir played there last Friday after some initial booking confusion..the owner came to the plate for us and treated right proper!..and we had a great time....nice stage, easy load in...no free food..!..lol...but good pay...staff was fine...crowd was into it and fun. would definately play there again. and would recomend this as an awsome place to catch a live band..and dance..dart ..and pool friendly. damn strong drinks too..holy sh%t. read more

The food at the Williams Avenue Pub is really good, and reasonably priced. The Philly Cheese steak sandwich maybe the best I've had outside of Philadelphia. Wednesdays are baby back ribs, which are especially good. Even the salads are way better than average. read more

On 1/5/2020 I was at JP (Williams Avenue Pub) watching the Seahawks game. During the evening me and three other ladies order food with the young white waitress/bartender; there were on two people working. In the process of her serving us we all ask for straws for our water which she brought over in her bare hands. I said not exceptable, you need to used a napkin. She then brought some straws in a glass & drop them all. She picked them up and brought three more in a napkin. After that she came back and ask if we can pay for our food now, I said no, not until I get my food. She then proceed to say because you might skip out. We all were very upset. I got up to go look for the manager and according to the older bartender none was there. So I stated you are telling me this establishment is open & no manager is around not even an asst. one, she said yes. So the young waittress cambe back to the table later once we got our food to ask if we were ok with our food. I said yes but didn't like that she had group us all together, because were black that we going to skip out. I told her she was wrong for the statement and tip will be given. She then said that fine I wasn't expecting one anyone. A very ugly attitude. read more

newbies to Williams will be put off by this bar, but the locals know the drinks are stiff and the food stacks up well to some local 4 stars in Seattle. The prices vary depending on what you order, but they have drink and menu specials daily. The staff meets at least a 3 star expectation for a Pub/eatery in downtown Renton, and there is free pool on Tuesdays. People complaining of hobos, and drug deals had one bad experience and immediately are put off, but the Pub is near a major bus line and a mixed crowd is usually welcomed all the time. Dress is casual, they have an up to date Jukebox, giant flat screens they've recently installed, live bands on Friday, and Karaoke on Saturdays from 9pm-1pm. They've been renovating the place lately so the money from sales is going to improve the overall look of the bar which at first feels a bit dive bar-ish. If you're looking for a great place to have a low key birthday, your home made cake is welcome with a stack of balloons. You can even order out over the phone! read more

I have been to Williams Avenue Sports Bar before and I had a wonderful time. Everyone was so kind. Last night I went to watch a friend of mine perform there and my ID was checked at the door, I was let it. Not even 5 minutes later, I was checked again and kicked out for having an "unacceptable ID". I was so embarrassed. I am a 24 year old transgender man. My ID has a female gender marker because it takes a very long time and a lot of work to change that to male. My picture is clearly me and %100 legit. I felt completely humiliated when I was asked to leave. I simply said ok and walked out. I've never had an issue with my ID here before and I think it was completely unfair. I will not be returning to Williams Avenue Sports Bar, unfortunately. I hope that if one of the owners reads this, they will understand that this was not okay and hopefully they will make changes in order to have equality in the treatment of their customers. I've never written a yelp review before, but this will be my first because people should know about this kind of discrimination. read more

I frequent this bar. Nice drinks and as a recent implant to the area I needed a nice place to feel like home after a long days work, this is my place. The bartenders are friendly and possess the PERFECT attitudes to actually thrive with the intersting client base. One of the bartenders (Bo) I have dubbed "my favotrite bartender" because when I come in he's got me poured up and hits me with a fistpound or high five and always knows how to appropriately make the atmosphere one where I feel comfortable. Great job to the evening crew (Jason, Tony, Scott and the "Boster") and the cooks are excellent as well..there takes a bit of resilience, a huge dose of reality and a great deal of personality to fit the scene here in downtown Renton, they have it down to a science.
