Never heard anything back on our previous visit. Stopped last night to see if they at least addressed our concerns. They fixed it all. Service by Emma was quick & she was always checking on her tables. A lovely lady, Mary, said manager on her tag, was walking around checking on tables and talking to the customers. Our appetizers of fried jalapeños and fried mushrooms were so delicious, fresh and very hot. They no longer had the old burnt grease taste. The burger patty was very hot & cheeseburger was delicious. The crawfish were served very hot, steaming as you pulled open the bad they are served in. They were very big, corn & potatoes very hot. The swirl margaritas were great! read more

Yuk. Got the 1 lbs snow crab legs, traditional. Way too spicy. Asked them to redo it. They took it to the back and rinsed it off. How did I know? The potato I bit into with the spice was returned to me. When the manager came and asked if it was better I explained that although it wasn't as spicy, there is still too much spice on the shells. She tried to say it's due to the spices in the boiling water. Yeah, except for the potato... it wasn't redone as she stated. They just rinsed it off. Which could have been okay except the potatoes and corn were still saturated with spice. The patty melt wasn't much better. Bread was greasy and soggy, fries came out tepid. Ordering was so easy the girl at the counter asked if i had been there before i said no and she explained perfectly how things were done. loved her she was great! it wasn't until i sat down by the bar when things went downhill. the bartender came around and asked us if we wanted to order anything else. i ordered my drink, my appetizer came out and my friends entrees came out, i waited about 20min when the bartender came by and apologized for the long wait snd he would check on the order, 20min go by and he never came back to let me know when my order was coming out. it was until a few minutes later a waitress came by and asked if everything was good and i gave her my receipt and she went back and in a few minutes my burger finally came out. then the bartender came by later to see if everything way okay, we were ready to pay so we paid and i asked for a to go box, he said okay, he came back with out cards and no to go box, once again i asked and he never came back with the to go box. whoever the bartender was that was working 9/27 between 6:30 & 7:30 sucks big ones. lol read more

Drive past this place if you can, don't stop unless you want to eat bland food. I had the catfish and shrimp combo no seasoning what so ever and the so called coleslaw was chopped dry cabbage. Ordered hush puppies which turned out to be a ball of chalk, that is how dry they were. Ordered the peach cobbler and received a bowl of peaches - no cobbler. I have been to willies twice one when they first opened, the good was cold and service was horrible. I went back last week for a second try. This time had. Wings and an appetizer i ordered three different flavors of wings. They all came pilled on top of each other so you could nit tell what was what. The wings were also doused in sauce. The appetizer came out cold and our server was not great. Had to track her down for drinks, condiments and silverware. read more

We got to the restaurant around 6:30pm, the restaurant was about 1/2 full, we ordered and sat down, 10 minutes after sitting down my sister got her nachos as me and my brother in law sat there with no food, 35 minutes later our food came, my brother in laws Icehouse burger was lukewarm and his fries were hot, my Patty Melt was cold and the cheese had already seized back up, I removed the cheese in one whole slice, my sweet potato fries were ice cold!!!! The manager came over and with each concern voiced she stated and I quote "Oh no, wow, oh no". I finally told her that this kind of service is the lack of supervision, again I quote her "new staff and we are backed up", I handed her the slice of cheese on a napkin and told her to take it to her cook as an example of what not to send out to customers. AGAIN the restaurant was 1/2 full when we ordered and sat down. The little waitress was nice and did everything she could so she earned a cash tip!!!!!!!!!!! Not impressed at all. The parking lot is too small for all the restaurants around. The line is long, horribly slow, and the door is kept open the entire time letting the AC out of the building. If that is going to happen, they need an air curtain at the door. The prices for the drinks are expensive. The food that they say is made fresh... well it isn't. The chicken fried steak is bland, bland, bland and it is obvious that it was frozen. The brisket tacos, besides being bland, bland, bland, the brisket is not good. This is Texas and Texas has higher standards for brisket. The best thing we had were the chicken tenders. The service, let's just say it was lacking. It is not clear how you get your beers for example. They give you a number and your receipt and then send you on your way after someone calls back for what beer you ordered. They ask you to move along. We get to the table and the wait staff has no idea. The wait staff immediately lets us know the kitchen is behind and will get us free chips and salsa or salads if it takes too long. The food comes and we saw the person waiting on us a total of 5 times, (when we sat down, to get our beer, when the food came, right before we finished eating, and when we paid). We even told them the brisket was good and the wait staff had no real response. We decided to take it home to doctor it up with some flavor for what they charged. The wait staff seems to pick and choose which tables they want to service and ignore others. We saw this happening with other tables. No refills on drinks. I would have liked another beer for example. The music selection seemed good, and once you sit down the AC still isn't great because once again the front door is open the entire time. The concept is a decent concept but the bland food, lack of good service, the AC not keeping up, and it being overpriced for the quality of the food. (I have no problem paying for good food, but Stouffer's frozen food is better). Do yourself a favor, there are other better places to go. read more

Neat place! Family friendly! Accessible to USB from the walls (not at every seating thou) BUT definitely not happy with their food! I had a Strawberry Pecan Balsamic with chicken. It was so soggy that it looks like they dumped a lot of Balsamic to covered the "old" romaine, and other mixed greens and overpowered with cranberries, very little strawberries. Next time, be sure to ask dressing on the side to see that salad are fresh n crisp! I wasted a good portion of the greens. read more

This place passed the vibe check for me! Great drinks, great food, and great service! First day open and we didn't wait long to order and then we sat ourselves. The patio area is nice and fans everywhere!! There wasn't a moment where I felt uncomfortable from this heat. The servers were so nice and took care of everything. Willie's is a fast casual restaurant with an odd twist. You'd better have a grasp of the menu before arriving as you have to go to the counter like other fast food joints to order. Drinks are self-service. With the exception of the bar. Once your order is taken, which a pimply 18-year-old will definitely get wrong as was our case, your meal will be delivered to your table. It's somewhat full service after that point. The choices are broad, however it's mostly deep fried offerings with the typical boring selection of burgers, chicken, and some salads. While our meal was prepared quickly, the quality is poor. Our selection, chicken fingers, a Bacon Willie burger, onion rings, and side fries came to the table freshly prepared. The chicken fingers looked appealing and were okay. The fries were crispy, but the bacon cheeseburger let's just say - it needs work. The bacon was undercooked and flaccid. They use a generic untoasted white bun that literally collapses under the weight of all the grease dripping out of the burger with condiments applied in such huge quantity as to question whether anyone in the kitchen knows anything about portion control. There must've been 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise on this burger Plus they use shredded lettuce and not whole leaf lettuce so what you get is 1000 island dressing salad on top of your bacon cheeseburger which is almost unedible given the grease and moisture content. Now I like a good onion ring, and what was so intriguing is their claim of hand battering. The slices were without question what you would expect, large and thick. But the coating was so thin and the onion rings were so undercooked, as soon as you picked them up, all the coating fell off. They should rebrand this item Willy's floppy rings. Yikes! In contrast to the humdrum menu, the bar, which takes up about a third of the square-footage, appears extensive. You can definitely tell where their largest profit center lives. The space is fairly open, but given its location is very noisy. If you're not a big fan of eating around a ton of screaming children avoid. Our server was helpful and pleasant. However, their billing system has a huge flaw. If you sign up for the Willies app, you get a free appetizer. Nice! However, our order was incorrect and once they corrected it, it voided the free appetizer which made our end bill incorrect until we discovered we were overcharged. So they had to credit back the original charge and charged us again , so we essentially paid twice. Granted we will get refunded the original amount, but this is an issue that they're going to have to iron out. Willies is a new restaurant and some bugs are to be expected. Our server was very apologetic and was able to elaborate on how many times this error has happened since they've opened. They need to address this error and billing issue pronto. While I'm not going to give this venue my avoid rating, I would certainly say at this point just don't expect much from Willys. It's fast food with ambience and a seat and somewhat full service. Once they get their issues in the kitchen sorted, we may go back, but it's going to take some time. Oh by the way, it ain't cheap so understand going in that the juice may not be worth the squeeze. read more

The food was not very good. The chicken fried steak was tough. The corn hash side dish was too spicy. The burger was good. The sweet potato fries were okay, except that the seasoning was poured on only one section of the fries, not sprinkled over the order. The service was okay, EXCEPT the server didn't know how to use the new online direct pay system. We tried 2 times. Then I paid cash at the server station by the kitchen and had to wait 5 minutes for my change. read more

Food was great! Loved my Willie Burger and fried pickles! Great flavors. My burger was hot and juicy. Pickles were crispy. Ambience is excellent. Server was friendly, attentive and helpful. It is a bit confusing if you're a first timer or you're not from TX. You don't know whether to wait to be seated or go in line. Wished the cashiers were a little more friendlier too and smiled a lil bit more. I told the cashier that it was my first time eating there and she totally dismissed it and said "is that all?" The Women's bathrooms were dirty. It was stinky, sticky and wet floors. I think I'll give it another shot next time I'm around there. read more
