Baja Burrito all the way with pinto beans.

I had the Baja Chicken burrito. It comes with rice and black or pinto beans. The burrito it smothered in their ranchero sauce and cheese sauce. A scoop of sour cream and guacamole on top of the handful of romaine lettuce. I asked for it "all the way" and this was the result. The adobe chicken was very flavorful. The rice was seriously lacking in flavor though. It had a slight reddish-ish color, but really tasted like plain rice. The pinto beans were not great, but OK. In a burrito they would be fine but as a side dish, they were rather plain. Overall if you are looking for a cheap burrito that will fill you up, this will do the job. However, I hate to say it because I'm not a huge fan of them, but for a burrito, Chipotle is much better. I'd put this place parallel to Moe's Southwest Grill if you are familiar, but Moe's salsa is better.

The atmosphere outside was perfect, especially with the warm weather. Inside felt a little average, so I'd say this is definitely more of a summer/outdoor spot. We started with chips, queso, and the salsa with peppers. The chips were just right--crunchy without being overly greasy. The queso was excellent, especially with the crispy top, and the salsa had a great balance of flavor and spice. My girlfriend ordered the chimichanga, and it was spot on. The shell was perfectly crisp and the meat inside was flavorful and tender. I got the off-menu fajitas with steak and shrimp--absolutely amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was flavorful, and the grilled onions tied it all together. Even the rice on the side impressed me, which doesn't usually happen. We wrapped things up with churros for dessert. They were decent--not a standout, but still a nice finish. All of that for around $50? I was seriously impressed. Great meal, great service, and definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

We visited after a graduation celebration and were looking forward to a memorable meal. The experience got off to a rough start with hosts who were not particularly warm or welcoming. Once seated, things only went downhill. Our waiter seemed disorganized from the beginning. We ordered appetizers first, but they arrived at different times, and to make matters worse, the graduate in our party received her main entrée at the same time the rest of us were receiving appetizers. I politely explained that it didn't make sense for one guest to be eating her entrée while everyone else was still eating appetizers and waiting for their meals. His response was confusing and didn't really address the issue, so we let it go. Unfortunately, the graduate's steak was served cold. Rather than preparing a fresh one, the restaurant simply took it back and returned it about two minutes later. It appeared to be the exact same steak based on how we had left it when it was sent back, and while I'm not sure whether restaurants typically reheat food or prepare a new dish altogether, this one was reheated. To make matters worse, the graduate ended up with a stomachache after eating it. As we continued waiting, our entrées never arrived. The waiter was polite but extremely inattentive. We repeatedly had to flag him down because he rarely checked on our table. After a VERY long wait, I asked about the rest of our meals. At that point, he admitted that he had forgotten to place our entree orders altogether. He then had to take all of our orders again and submit them to the kitchen. By the time our food finally arrived, we were no longer hungry and were extremely frustrated, despite remaining patient and courteous throughout the entire experience. The entrées were decent, but nothing exceptional, especially considering the extremely excessive wait and service issues. The waiter did bring a small dessert for the graduate, which was a nice touch, but it felt more like a complimentary gesture because he had forgotten our entrées than a genuine celebration of the occasion, especially given how disastrous the overall experience had been. What should have been a joyful graduation celebration turned into an exhausting and disappointing dining experience. While the waiter was polite, the service was slow, disorganized, and lacking attention to detail. Overall, this was a poor first experience and not one I would be eager to repeat.

She was accommodating to my friend's request for them to close the door. She was also helped when we both expressed our Churrasco steaks were well done when we both ordered medium. She brought them back to the kitchen and had them remade. I forgot to take photos for those but I was chewing for way too long on the first bite and barely had any pink meat. A few other things we ordered were the crab cake and Brussel sprouts, which were both really good. I got the birria empanada, which unfortunately was not seasoned at all. It was fried to perfect tho. Overall it was an underwhelming experience and I would likely not return.

I understand the policy and fully support it; I don't understand the hostility. My husband was third in line and there were more than three open tables. Our 3-year-old twins were getting in the way in the crowded line, so I took them to an empty table while we waited--after specifically confirming there were plenty more available than the 2 people in front of us. The table "monitor" immediately came over with an incredibly rude attitude and said he "doesn't care about kids--everyone else has kids." A simple, polite request to wait would have sufficed. Note that I had also had already purchased a margarita so I wasn't at the table empty handed. The superiority complex would be amusing if the restaurant were good, but it isn't. The line looks long but it's by design to make it look more popular than it is. There's only one person taking orders near the door to create the optics that the line is long. The food itself is bland and under-seasoned. We left, spent our money elsewhere, and won't be back. If you have young kids, this is clearly not a place that wants your business.

There were so many tempting options on the menu, but we landed on the empanadas with mango slaw, birria tacos with a side of vegetables, and the enchiladas suizas. Every single dish was mouthwateringly delicious--nothing fell short of spectacular. Even the service stood out; our waitress was outstanding and made the whole experience even better. The portions are generous, and what really sets this place apart is the seasoning. Each dish had its own unique twist that elevated it well beyond your standard Mexican menu. The slow-cooked meat in both the empanadas and birria tacos was incredibly tender--so good it kept us going back for "just one more bite" long after we were full. And the tomatillo sauce on the enchiladas? Easily the best I've ever had--and I don't say that lightly. I'm a bit of a tomatillo sauce snob, and this one completely blew me away. We're just visiting the area, but this quaint little spot--with its charming covered patio--left a lasting impression on our trip. If you're local, this should be in your regular rotation.
