I intended on getting the smoked brisket bowl but when I got inside and checked out the menu, I got the steak Baja burrito instead. It comes with rice (seasoned or white rice...I got the seasoned rice), black beans, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and pico de gallo. I also got a regular sized lemonade. They have a variety of salsas to choose from and I got the chile salsa that has a kick to it. The Baja burrito is supposed to come smothered with cheese and a chipotle sauce. My burrito wasn't smothered at all. If they put cheese and chipotle sauce on it, I didn't know. They were very skimpy with the steak. There is an up charge if you get steak so they definitely should have packed more meat in the burrito. The self serve ice machine was out of ice so you had to ask the cashier for ice. There is plenty of seating if you decide to eat in the restaurant. Aside from that, the service and food were good. read more

I saw an advertisement on Instagram about Willy's nachos. That peaked my craving. The nachos were good. I like that Willy's does not use your standard cheese sauce. I also ordered the Veggie Baja Burrito. Everything was good. Typical chain style Mexican food. It was busy so I did not get a chance to study the ambiance. This was my first time at this Willy's location, and I found it to be a pretty darn good one. There are two entrances from the parking lot, and the dining area was roomy, with high ceilings. Great experience with catering order! We ordered a 45-person taco bar for pickup. I was not expecting the level of service we received when picking up the order. The employee who worked with us (Michelle, or Melissa?) was very friendly and efficient. She walked us through our order while packing it into easy-to-manage boxes. I did a build your own steak burrito. I was excited and disappointed. The rice wasn't all the way cooked but the steak was definitely over done. I did not like the red cause but green was good. My lemonade was alright. Since bae had it mixed with sweet tea I can say the sweets tea was much better. He also got chicken nachos which also where disappointing. He thought they needed more flavor. I thought they were also over cooked. This didn't stop me from finishing the meal however. But it probably will stop me from coming back I recommending it. It looks and sounds like a good idea but then it misses the landing when you actually taste it. The chips for instance taste like dirt. My bae says they just dry. Well, this is my first time going to this location. I read the reviews, and they were pretty good, so I told myself to check them out. I walked in, but I wasn't greeted. A Caucasian guy was there. I'm guessing he's new because I told him I would like the taco salad you advertised outside. He didn't know how to make the food. I understand when you know you don't know, you don't know. I used to work in food service, so I know how it goes. Gloves were not changed from the Caucasian guy and the African-American young lady; she had makeup on, and the other African-American Girl was cooking food and gossiping the whole time. It didn't look presentable; the food looked 3 or 4 hours old. The young lady was on the grill cooking with one hand and phone up to her ear, which I thought was unprofessional. You never know who will walk in and who will report you. I smiled at the young lady helping the caucasian guy. I said hello to her, and she just looked me up and down and went on about her business. I could have told the young man I didn't want the food and walked out, but he took the time to make the food. The food is cold. I stayed less than five minutes from this establishment. I had to ask for my receipt; you asked the customer would you like your receipt. There was no name to tell me who checked me out on my receipt; just horrible customer service. Ordered a salad. Guy behind the counter was super nice. Sat down to eat my salad and the Adobe chicken on the salad had a burnt taste. Tried a few more bites of the chicken and it was definitely burnt tasting. Alerted the guy who helped me. I picked all the burnt adobe chicken off my salad. Surprised nobody came over to offer me any of the plain chicken instead that they have, or to make me a new salad Annoyed, I went up to the counter and asked if I could have some of the plain chicken. He alerted me that he told his supervisor about the burnt chicken, and they supposedly took the Adobe chicken off the line. At that point he asked me if I wanted another salad. I'm not about wasting food so I just got a cup of the plain chicken to put on my salad. I asked if the manager was in, and he pointed me to a short lady. I told her about the Adobe chicken. She said that she was off yesterday and the person who grilled the chicken had definitely burnt it. She offered no apologies, and wouldn't have even acknowledged me, had I not gone back up to the counter. I've eaten at Willys regularly for the past 15 years at different locations and this was by far the worst experience I've had. The staff lacks motivation and the food isn't as fresh as it should be. Recently I went in for two bowls. The server used his hands to build my bowl after replenishing product on the line. Now he had gloves on but I'm sure they needed to be changed. Simply GROSS. I asked him if there was a reason why he was using his hand... his response, it's faster. Instead of saying. I ended up here as a default choice with a small, extended family group. We were having a late lunch and needed something fairly fast (but not fast food). I had never been to a Willy's before, but my brother-in-law apparently frequents it. Parking was cramped at this location; it is near Northlake Mall and is part of the surrounding set of shops, restaurants, etc. The layout / vibe is similar to Moe's Southwestern Grill. I've only eaten at Moe's a couple of times, and wasn't that impressed. However, maybe due to extreme hunger, I give Willy's points for a simple, satisfying lunch. Your order at the counter and give feedback while they assemble your plate. I got one of the burritos (Monterrey?). It involved steak. There was also a scoop each of rice and beans on the side, plus some guacamole. I had no trouble finishing the burrito and the price wasn't bad (around $10). They include a small bag of tortilla chips and have a salsa bar for various choices. If I had more time and more choices, I'd opt for a table-service Mexican restaurant over this. Good help is getting hard to find in Tucker. That was very evident on my last trip to Willy's. Whenever the staff is justifying their behavior to the customers... there is a problem. I finally just asked an employee to please bring another employee a spoon so that I could get some corn on my salad. Because the staff communicating with each other (or simply solving a problem) is becoming a issue. Even though there was NO LINE and it still took 20 minutes to get my food since they were out of queso, chicken, corn, pico, fajita veggies, etc at 12:30 PM (I won't talk about the disaster of a eating area and salsa bar ) when I got my food it was ok. The wifey loves her some giant burrito as big as yo face, and Willy's is her fave. We are fortunate to have one near by us! She has declared it her favorite place We moved into the neighborhood this past year so we only took out at this location. Wifey loves her all you can eat salsa bar, and sadly they had to take that feature out... I like this chain's selection of toppings for your burro, many quality toppings and unexpected ones such as cooked red pepper, pickled jalapeños, etc. The proteins, pork and steak, have been very tasty. The location is clean and I can't think of any meaningful demerits. I like that after it's all said and done, my burro is barely closed and bursting by the seams. I love a bang for the buck! I typically love the pork option, but I've also more recently been into the steak. The salsa bar is a must and although it has been closed due to COVID, this location still obliges my request for obscene amounts of salsa of all kinds. Im a huge fan of the árbol sauce. This Willy's is a good spot to get your fix of quesadillas, salads, burritos, etc. It's just like Moe's, Qdobo, Chipotle, etc. However it's waaay better than Moe's so I don't suggest eating there over here or any other place! Their beans are tasty and I like their tofu for my quesadilla or burrito. This location gets you in and out quick from what I've experienced. Parking here can be a pain in the rear since the lot is small and shares spaces with other businesses; plus the dentist office having threatening signs to tow or ticket if you park there doesn't help. I was there on 4/29/2022. Despite there being 6 employees, service was so slow because the employees were just milling around behind the line. Waited over 5 minutes to get waited on and there was no one in front of me. Food was poor and very little meat...which was hard and cold. The worse part is that we witnessed a worker spraying Windex on surface right next to salsas and you could see Windex overspray going into salsa. This place should be shut down. Today I went in and noticed that my food wasn't ready (it was ready but I didn't see it) so I didn't even go to the counter and proceeded to get my salsa from the stand. Terez (sp?) I come here all the time so I hope a store manager sees this and addresses it. The last 2 visits there has been hair in my food! Pleaseeee get the staff hair nets. Can't go back to this location. Updated: So found the issue. This location needs better training for new staff. The weekday shift there is a short AA manager who runs a tight ship. Service is fast and staff have gloves, hair nets, etc. The weekend staff is a gamble. Just returned from a staff member handling my chips w no gloves. He didn't change out the green salsa after he dropped a little plastic cup in it. Sour cream and salsa had cross contaminants in it. The Latino gentlemen that's there is on it! Although the food is awesome, I have to critique one or two things. Going into Willys I smelled marijuana. I noticed an employee in his car smoking. I was very shocked and had a bad feeling, but nonetheless I went inside. While getting my food prepped the workers used vulgar language which made me feel very uncomfortable. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. I've gone so much they know what I want when I walk through the door. The food is always fresh and their management team is awesome. I told the GM when I was there last week that they need to open a restaurant on Panola Road where the old Dennys used to be. I Letang drive from Panola road to lavista road during my lunch hour because I love this place. So thanks Charlie and the rest of the team for a awesome experience when I come in.
