I recently ordered the Chicken Fajita Pizza and told the waitress that I have a dairy allergy, and asked that they substitute the mozzarella and cheddar for the vegan cheese. When it came out, my boyfriend and I thought the cheese looked like real cheese so I went in and asked the waitress again if the cheese was vegan, and she said yes. After we ate a few slices, I began to feel unwell and asked the waitress again if the cheese was vegan and she said yes. She then brought out the chef and we asked him, and he said the cheese was not vegan. He was very apologetic and seemed very upset about the situation. He compensated our food as well. The chef was polite and the pizza was good, but the waitress clearly did not care about my dairy allergy. I would go back but only once the waiters are more receptive to people's food allergies and dietary restrictions. read more

The pizza here is not necessarily the best pizza, and I am not the biggest fan of it. I really like the ambiance and how it has a "jazz" theme. One time when I went there, my card got denied and one of the staff members tried to take my card before I could swipe again. The portion that I received looked half eaten, was dried out like it was leftover from yesterday or even days earlier and THEN overcooked when reheated in the microwave, and there was absolutely NO prosciutto or shallots (as described on the menu) to be found. On top of it all, I paid $15.99 plus tax for this. You have got to be kidding me. As a lifelong New Yorker, this was the first CT pizza place that I liked and we've ordered from here many many times. I would recommend their cheese pizza, Wilton Special pizza, mozzarella sticks, caesar salad, cheese calzone, protein calzone, chicken francese, and brownies. The Parker's pesto pasta is just okay - not worth the price - but not bad. I'll post an update as I try more dishes. Sometimes their delivery speed is super quick (~30 minutes) and other times it can take over an hour even though we're only located 5 minutes away. I'm really glad that they deliver. The only other pizza place I like - Letizia's - does not deliver, so Wilton Pizza is my go-to. My husband isn't a big fan of pizza. I know! His New York card should've been taken away years ago. Epic NY staples like L&B Spumoni are "just okay" to him, but he said the Wilton Special pizza was "pretty good." That's the biggest compliment he has ever given to a pizza. i ordered a speciality pizza. the sauce has no flavor other than tomato as if they opened a can of plain Hunts tomato sauce and poured it on. The red peppers were not roasted, but pickled which gave a very bad flavor to the whole pizza. The mushrooms were dried out as if they were put on after the cheese, which was sparse to begin with. Nice quiet patio area to enjoy lunch/dinner on a beautiful day. Never had a bad experience here, food is always good. I have probably been here at least 10 times. As a fan of Jazz, I enjoy the Decor and music being played inside. Yelpers, always remember that most people, by nature, are more inclined to dwell on the bad, not the good in their lives. I really liked the pizza we had here. It took such a long time for our pizza to come out, but the food was good enough that the wait didn't matter as much. Now the pizza was good, but definitely not the best I've ever had. We ordered the Jazzeria Special with meatballs, mushrooms, onions, and peppers. The pizza came loaded with toppings, so loaded that we in fact could hardly pick up each slice. The cheese was good and gooey, while the sauce was slightly sweet and tangy. The sauce had nice chunks of tomato. The crust was thin and crispy with a nice puffiness, though not was chewy and puffy as a Neapolitan style pizza. I do like their pizza but service is completely inconsistent. Have tried to order food to Merwin Meadows to call in after 45 min to be told they are busy and walk in to find an empty restaurant. Order one thing receive another. One male server is wonderful, a female one can rip you a new one. My friend and I just had a wonderful evening at Wilton Pizza. We had a pleasant, memorable experience. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing. There was light piano music playing in the background, a soothing sound, that did not overpower our conversation. Our server's name was Kathy, she was excellent. She was extremely thoughtful, conscientious throughout, telling us about the specials, and all what's new at Wilton Pizza. Our Food arrived before we knew it. We each had a salad, glass of wine and a dinner entrée. The wine was a dinner special for only $5.00, it was delicious. I would definitely recommend the eggplant parmesan and the chicken francese. She told us that the woman who manages the restaurant has many new changes planned. I will post what I can recall she said; new daily specials, kids eat free days, senior specials, and healthier food options, like gluten and dairy free items. Gotta love Wilton pizza. It's a neighborhood family favorite, and rightfully so. My favorite is their Jazz pizza - it's one of their specialties and never disappoints. It's topped with ricotta, mozzarella, roasted garlic, broccoli and spinach. It's my go-to when I come here, but to be honest, if I'm ordering a more "basic" pizza (plain, pepperoni, spinach), there are other pizza spots in the area that I would go to before Wilton pizza. If you're stopping in for lunch or for something a little lighter than pizza, I highly recommend the Ragtime Panini. My friend and I will go here specifically for this panini - homemade Italian bread, tomato, mozzarella, basil, and balsamic - you can't go wrong! Wilton pizza is great for takeout but they have room to sit down as well. In the summers, they have an awesome outdoor seating area and sometimes a live jazz band that plays while you eat. It's a great atmosphere, and good for any group--families, couples, friends--and a friendly staff. read more

We recently moved to Wilton, and we find ourselves on the patio at Wilton Pizza every week. They are incredibly kind to our young son (who really likes their cheese pizza), and they have some of the BEST pizza in the tri-state area. In fact, we find that it's the only pizza that compares to that in NY/NJ. I've also had their gluten-free (just ask for it) Chicken Marsala, and it's incredible. Wow, what a total disappointment! I thought about giving it two stars b/c the pizza isn't that bad, but the service stinks. Just the other night my wife and I went in there for dinner at 9:15.PM. When we approached the door, we were given the cut-off sign with the finger across the neck by some guy sitting inside talking with a girl. I hope it was the owner because only they should be able to turn away paying customers during clearly posted business hours. I've gone in for a slice before. I really like their pies but I was very disappointed in the pasta dish I decided to try. It was the "Miles Davis" which sounded good on paper but I think fell flat. The sauce was way too watery. I was expecting a pesto like consistency and maybe more flavor in a denser sauce. I think the whole garlic cloves didn't work either. The pies however are excellent.
